Perfection! Beautiful outdoor dining (which the restaurant recently expanded since Covid-19) with views of sunset and boats passing by. Service was friendly and attentive. The food as well as the all you can drink Sangria were excellent! We love going to Blue ♥️

Absolutely one of the best restaurants on Staten Island. Food is fresh, portions are generous, and the views simply cannot be beat. The views of the busy shipping corridor of the Kill van Kull are worth it alone. As this is a the first time I've visited in a few years, the interior is slightly refreshed with a bit of a more curated but still amazing menu selection. Service is friendly and prompt. There is a tiny parking lot next door, but you're better off across the street, as the lot is extremely tight. Still, definitely a 5 star all day.

Food is quite good and the service was great. The chicken and waffles were awesome. The guacamole seems like a weird addition, but it actually really tasty. The outdoor view is fine — it’s a nice view of the river but also an industrial park.

We've been coming to Blue for years. We have never been disappointed with the food or service. The restaurant is usually busy and the high traffic is earned. Excellent food and drink. Bayonne may not be the best view but seeing the tugs at work and just being near the water is a treat on any nice day.

Blu is always good. Nice view of the Hudson. The food is really good. The prix fix menu is a great option because it's all inclusive except drinks. But they also have a 90 minute unlimited drink option for a reasonable price. My crab stuffed lobster tail with the risotto was so good. The wait staff are amazing as well.

This place has great atmosphere. I don’t know if I can say a restaurant on Staten Island has a better view along with food. I would put this place in a top 5 restaurants on Staten Island, for fine dining of course! You’re right there on the water and the food is great. I’ve been here a few times and I’ll definitely be coming back some more. My personal favorite was the pork chops. They also have some great drinks.

The staff was so accommodating!! We arrived an hour early and had booked two tables of four. They were able to seat us pretty much immediately and made arrangements for us to get together at one table for eight. There was a small mix up in our order, appetizers came out with the food. Our waiter was very apologetic and offered us a free drink for the mix up. We felt very well cared for and can’t say enough great things go about our server Nelly!! Food was very good as well. Highly recommend the salmon dish I had.

Great food and spectacular place! Friendly and exceptional service! I honestly wanted to try everything on the menu! Every item sounded so good! My stepdad ordered the lobster risotto and I ordered the seafood risotto and just let me be honest here. It was the best risotto I've ever had! So rich and creamy and the rice wasn't overcooked . We will definitely be back! By the way we came all the way from the Bronx and it was well worth the trip! You won't be disappointed!

Made a reservation to celebrate my husband’s birthday and couldn’t be happier with the decision! We had a very large party which would typically be difficult to manage but the wait staff and management did a fantastic job. Our table was ready when we arrived, our waitress was very pleasant and helpful, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The music was upbeat and not too loud, allowing us to speak with each other without having to yell, and the entire place was clean and bright. Not to mention, the food was incredible! They have a large selection of foods and drinks so no matter what your preference is, you will find something you enjoy here. Highly recommend.

This is a new review. My family brought me here fir a birthday brunch. It was so excellent. Especially that there were two other events happening but you could not hear either,the soundproofing was excellent. My breakfast was the pork belly,bacon,steak with eggs. Absolutely superb. They then brought out the dessert I ordered on a Happy Birthday pkate,while singing to me. Another over the top happy day at Blue.

The resturant has a nice ambiance at night for a romantic dinner, causal night and/or large party. The view of the river adds to the effect. The chicken empanadas for an appetizer were delicious and full of flavor. The potatoe leak soup was rich and had a nice balance between not creamy and watery. The NY strip steak full of flavor and juciy in the center and the Blue seafood pasta was heaveny for those who are seafood lovers.

My very first visit and I am amazed its clean and the staff is friendly and helpful the view is great , love love the food . So we called to make a res 20 min before we got there and we were seated in the party room which was fine. The dining room was visibly crowded so we were happy to have a seat. Being the only non party in the party room is not ideal but it was fine. Our food was delicious and service was good. Ribs for appetizer, i wish that was an entree. Meat fell off the bone.My husband had lobster and strleak combo, he said it was delicious. I had the glazed salmon over a salad also delcious there was not a crumb on our plate. We were full but took nutella wontons to go. Service was good as well. Next time I will make a reservation for outside bc it is a beautiful view. We will be back for more yummy food. Side note - ypu have to park in the neighborhood.

Last night, we were blown away by our experience at Blue. The place had a warm ambience and an intimate vibe despite the large space. and the food!! The food was absolutely delicious. I’m still thinking about it. They offer a prefix menu with plenty of options and was reasonably priced considering the large portions. The appetizers were amazing. My favorite was the goat cheese stuffed wonton and I don’t even like goat cheese! My ribeye was made to perfection and super flavorful! My sis loved the lamb, too. For dessert, I highly highly recommend their tiramisu. It was light and not too sweet. The service was excellent and our server was attentive. The manager, name Jeff, came to our table and offered great suggestions for our party. The friendliness of the staff made our experience even sweeter. Blue gets a 5 star all the way! We can’t wait to go back.

Spent the 14th Valentine's with my wife and my daughter. The view and atmosphere are so great, I am glad that I select the right spot for this meaningful day. Since on Valentine's, they are fully booked, their menu selection is limited. $69 for each person, you can pick an appetizer, main course, and dessert. The lamb chop is tender and juicy. My ribeye is cook to perfectly well. My wife’s seafood with pasta is yummy too. Definitely worth the bucks and their portion is no joke. It will fill you up till tomorrow.

Sadly I haven’t had the chance to dine in, I have only done take out, food was hot, puntual with the time. The area is clean and the atmosphere feels good plus that view to the river.

Blue on Richmond Terrace is easily one of Staten Island's best waterfront spots. The Thai Calamari is the perfect crispy starter with a great kick, and the Pasta Carbonara is rich, authentic, and comforting. The standout, though, is the Stuffed Lobster Tail—generously filled and paired perfectly with their creamy risotto. Great vibes, attentive service, and even better food. Highly recommend!

My husband and I absolutely love Blue Restaurant. It’s one of our favorite spots on Staten Island and we always have such a great experience there. The service is amazing every time. Every waiter and bartender is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome. The GM, Jeff, is the best and you can tell he really cares about making sure everyone has a great experience. Every meal we’ve had has been delicious. We’ve also ordered the family to-go meals before and the portions are great — perfect when you want an easy dinner but still want really good food. The drinks are fantastic too. My favorite is the espresso martini, and my husband has recently gotten into their old fashioneds. They always taste great and are beautifully presented. And the view is incredible. Between the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere, it’s definitely one of the best places on Staten Island. Highly recommend!

You know a place is good when you’re thinking about the food and drinks days and weeks later. Blue is my absolute favorite restaurant. They won’t fill you up on filler breads and nonsense. You get the best and freshest cuts of meats, fish and veg with the absolute best flavors, melt in your mouth like butter kind of meats and fish. Their drinks are top notch, mixed and wines. Everything here feels very upscale and high quality like a place wealthy people from manhattan would go to except it’s more affordable and in Staten Island. The clam bake was perfect to share at a reasonable price, what I loved most was the Mac and cheese! Some of the best I’ve ever tried. Also, don’t skip the cocktails—the drink menu is solid. I had a cucumber mojito that hit all the right notes and was so refreshing. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service from the moment we walked in Kate our host greeted us and made us feel welcomed right away. Our server, Arten, was absolutely exceptional—attentive, friendly, and just the right amount of conversational. He made sure everything was perfect throughout the night. And big shoutout to the manager, Jeff, who came by to check in and made us feel genuinely welcomed. You can tell they care about the customer experience here. All around a great vibe—great food, great drinks, and even better service. Definitely coming back!

Very nice restaurant with a pretty good choice of dishes. We ordered fresh oysters, some appetizers and side dishes, plus drinks. Though we ordered half a dozen of oysters, the platters of one dozen came, which was not so bad. The only disappointment was the plate with two super small octopus tentacles. They were tender and soft, but more on a boiled side. I haven’t seen such a small plate of octopus, especially for $18. Margaritas were good. Plus we had a nice table overlooking the water.

The Blue is a great restaurant with an amazing view of the water. The food was amazing. We got the tuna club and the chicken burrata. Both were really good with no complaints. The soup of the day was very flavorful it's a shame that there wasn't a lot of soup in it. The staff were all really nice and responsive. It's really close to the Snug Harbor. It's only a couple of minutes from there. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

With no reservations on a Saturday evening, the staff were accommodating which I was grateful for. Located at the waterfront, we were seated in the second room facing the water. Beautiful view and room, one can be easily entertained with the boat traffic that passes. Our waiter greeted and served us our beverages quickly along with warm pita bread with olives and grapes in olive oil. Greg, the waiter, gave his insights about the menu along with recommendations in a warm friendly matter. Started off with oysters and ordered two entrees, the bolognese and tuna steak. The east coast oysters were great quality and refreshing. Both entries were delicious and presented beautifully. Finished the evening with fresh home made key lime pie. Would recommend to make reservations just to be sure there is seating. Will return to try other options since each dish was delicious.

Waitress told us lunch menu is new and I’m amazed how delicious they are. We love all of them. Brunch menu is only available on Sunday. Will definitely come back to try their brunch and dinner. Parking lot small only fits few cars, but plenty of street parking nearby.

It's an amazing spot. You feel like you are in the middle of world trade, with ships, tankers, and tugs going back and forth in the busy waterway. The food is excellent, the waitstaff friendly and efficient. Only one negative: It's noisy. Be prepared to shout if you want to have a conversation. Nevertheless, I'd go there again.

Sorry to say oysters...frozen and very watery. But caprese salad, pork and risotto, lemoncello chicken were very good. Topped off the meal with cappuccino, espresso, sambuca and tartufo.... wonderful. Expansive view of the commercial waterway is outstanding...tugs, cargo and hugh transports right at your table!! We made reservations ahead of time for a party of 12. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating. We were there in two for sunset so a few of us went outside to take pictures by the water. They had a wide selection of food. We had also had a picky vegetarian. They offered to make food off menu to accommodate to some degree. They have a prix fixe cash menu for $29.95 and unlimited $10 for beer/wine for 1.5 hours. I just opted for the meal as they had a lychee martini that I couldn't resist. The rest of the party ordered off menu. Some of the portions were big that we had some leftovers.

Beautiful view. Service was good. Very tight and loud inside. Food was good enough. Salad was delicious! Watching the waiter count his tips as he was retrieving the folders was a turn off. To the woman outside who was complaining about the bugs ... sit inside next time. Duh!

The view is Great! Overall, the food was excellent. The ribeye was nicely done, except the end was slightly too burnt, and the mashed potatoes had great flavor. The seafood pot had a delicious buttery flavor and taste, and the fried octopus was nicely done, except it was more towards the sweet side. But what ruined the experience was the final dish we ordered, lobster tail. It came out nice until we tried the rice; it tasted half-cooked, half-raw, and so we thought it was their style. So we asked if the rice was supposed to be hard, and it turned out it wasn't supposed to be hard. Since we didn't have time, we had to remove the lobster tail from the bill. It was pretty unfortunate that we didn't try out the lobster tail.

This is another place my cousins and I decided to try on our visit to New York. We made reservations for this place as well and were seated pretty quickly when we arrived. We all had the crab stuffed lobster with cheese risotto. This was my first time trying risotto and though I like the flavor i wasn't a fan of the texture. The Lobster was ok. I wish it had just a little more flavor but the crab stuffing helped it out. Our server was nice and we received good service. Nice happy atmosphere. Looked like the staff enjoyed working there. I would definitely go again and try something new.

Went for valentines day. Everything was great, however they had a valentines day only menu which forces you to pay 75 per person with no other choices. I was expecting the place to be pricey but did not realize the menu would be so limited on that day. I paid almost 200 dollars on only 2 people.

Mix feelings about this place. Firstly, we were served with a chipped plate at a fine dining restaurant 🤦🏽‍♀️. Secondly, been awhile coming to this place so I asked our server if they still have that thick bacon as appetizer 🥓 on the menu and I was told that they do have a left over bacons from the burgers lol WOW just WOW. I’m like did she just said left overs?! I was like no thanks but I’m glad she’s honest though. I wonder what else are left overs from what we had 😦 I asked for the desert menu and server told me she’ll wait for me to finish eating then she’ll give it to me. Waited a bit but couldn’t wait no more so asked another waiter and hand it to us immediately. The rest of the food were delicious and it’s a romantic place but as mentioned mix feelings. Our server were nice but some thing is off.

My best friend and I made last minute reservations to go out for dinner with a view of the water and the hostess was able to accommodate us. Since it is still spring and the weather is iffy they had tents up and had heaters if needed. The food was great and came out quickly. This restaurant has specials for food and alcoholic drinks at great prices. We had sangria and our food was filling and so good.

The atmosphere at Blue is definitely an experience. The service was great, but the food just average it was pricey and the portions were very small....I had the ceaser salad with steak @ $30 overpriced for the portion that I had additionally we had the stacked eggplant 🍆 which was good but cold in the middle overall I did like Blue it will require a return to give a more definitive decision..

Nice ambiance, great service! Food was surprisingly disappointing given the price and reviews. Not a lot of flavor in broths for mussels or linguini clams. Lobster was not cleaned well. Vegetables and risotto were underdone. When we asked for bread for pasta, we got "grilled" pita and told they could bring Italian bread if we wanted it. The Thai calamari was very good. Grilled octopus was ok but a little over sauced. The fillet of Branzino was well seasoned and the lemon sauce was tasty. We enjoyed the $19.95 90min unlimited sangria, wine, mojito and margaritas available sun-thur. After dinner, we walked through parking lot to water where there were benches to sit. The wait staff was very attentive and efficient. Not worth the drive from jersey but ok if you are local.

Holly and Fernando were both very friendly, providing amazing service! Restaurant is spacious and located by the water, giving off a romantic and intimate dining atmosphere! Now onto the main subject of the review, the food: Tuna and salmon tartar (2/5) - Beautifully constructed, but not perfectly seasoned nor were it that fresh. The chips were half soggy, which detracted from enjoying the dish. It's decent but not too memorable. Octopus (5/5) - Perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a great sauce that provides a creamy and savory finish! Highly recommend! Ribeye (4/5) - Perfectly cooked medium rare, but unevenly seasoned, easy fix though with the salt shaker! Rack of Lamb (2/5) - Great flavor, but unfortunately undercooked and was overly rare. Definitely need the sauce though, so I recommend coating it with a bit more sauce, for you can see how some pieces didn't have as much sauce nor did the plate have enough to for each of us to dip it. Seafood Risotto (10/5) - No, that's not a typo! This is by far one of the best risotto we ever had and will definitely come back for it in the future! The only minor issue is that many of the meats from the mussel and clams fell off, so it was just a bunch of shells. Nonetheless, highly recommend it and you won't regret it! Tuna Florentina (1/5) - Definitely one of our least favorite dish, where the tuna is so flavorless and the orecchiette was unevenly cooked, where some pieces were soft and some were hard. Don't recommend this one. Linguine Carbonara (3.75/5) - Very rich, creamy, and seasoned well. Didn't taste bad but also wasn't anything too special; can't go wrong with it though! Soft shell crab pasta (4/5) - Fun and delicious dish, where the soft shell crab provided a nice contrast in terms of flavor and texture! Pretty good! Overall, things were good but not perfect unfortunately. Location and service were great as it is, but the food can be improved on. However, food came out quick and together, which is a plus! Blue definitely has amazing potential and I have no doubt they'll continue to grow and improve! Hope next time I can give them the 5 stars that I know they are definitely capable of obtaining! UPDATE: My second time visit here. The weather was so fantastic, such a peaceful view from the restaurant. I was there with a friend. We ordered vergin drinks , stuffed lobster tail & pasta. First time trying lobster tail & it was delicious. My friend didn't like his pasta dish at all, the drinks were ok. To finish it up we drank coffee . Prices were higher like usual, service was good. We did have a good time there . I will add some new pictures! I can't believe I waited so long to try this restaurant, even tho it's in the island & near my area ! The decor is nice , place is clean , service was excellent! My server McKenzie was just awesome..! The price is high , but after the taste of food I wasn't too sad about it...! If it was little cheaper I would probably be here a lot of time, for just one person the bill is pretty high . Only ordered a Virgin Mojito, one main course, one dessert & a cup of coffee! I loved the Shrimp & The Spring Cake. Coffee was fresh & the Mojito was ok. If you are visiting & want to have some good yummy food definitely a place you need to visit .

We came in without a reservation and were seated in the middle of the restaurant, even though the hostess initially mentioned a window seat. She later said the window spots were reserved, but several remained empty throughout our entire meal, which was disappointing. We had to ask twice for ice, and the steak, which was ordered medium, came out very rare. On the positive side, the ambiance was nice and the service overall was friendly. We previously visited this restaurant on several occasions prior to our recent lunch. We noticed the menu had changed and definitely not for the better. After much deliberation we chose crabcakes, Caesar salad, and a Mediterranean salad. Both salads were tasteless and seemed like they came out of a bag! Certainly not what I would expect from this restaurant,However, the crabcakes were decent. The service left much to be desired. We were not given a special menu. We had to ask if there were any specials and then an additional menu was given. We got our beverages along with the meal and we had to ask for bread as well. We didn’t even stay for dessert. We were that disappointed!! I inquired about adding shrimp to my salad. I was asked how many shrimp I wanted and quoted a price of five dollars per shrimp.!! I have never come across this anywhere! The price should be stated on the menu as a flat rate, as an addition to a salad. The price of the salad alone was astronomical. We have crossed this restaurant off our list after this experience!

I was under the impression from what people told me that Blue is “such a nice and fancy seafood restaurant by the water.” I am honestly am so disappointed with the whole experience. Our party of three came here for Mother’s Day prefix menu all dressed up in heels with bouquets of flowers. I looked at my surroundings and quickly saw how terribly dressed everyone was. Sat down at the table with some brown crinkly table on top of the white table cloth. This already ruined the whole ambience. Asked if the waitress can put the flowers in a vase to the side. Got stared at like I had 10 heads. They said no. We put the flowers on the side of the table which kept falling the whole time. We ate our appetizers on bread plates. Appetizers were okay but lobster was not fresh and dry. Our dessert came. Then our coffee 15 mins later. This place is more akin to Red Lobster than a “nice seafood restaurant by the wayer."

Do not order anything fried, very bad. Service is slow. Seating is terrible, our table was 20 inches by 20 inches , we could not keep the food and the drinks on the table at the same time! Raw bar is way over priced , example 6 clams for 15 dollars wow! No ventilation in outside corner seating underthe tent. June 5th comeback, believe it or not. My wife's birthday she wanted to try it again. Bad idea. Prices are greater portions are smaller. We had $135. 00 tomahawk steak for 2. Over cooked and cold askedfor medium rare received medium. Blue is very close to my neighborhood therefore it’s been our go to for dinner and special occasions leaving us to return based on location and food. Tonight was a disappointment. My husband ordered the salmon that was served over salad , the salmon pieces (2) were the tail ends and the salmon , the salad had some over powering seasoning or dressing that really didn’t complaint the salad nor the salmon. The Cesar salad dressing was heavy with anchovies flavoring ( no actual anchovies) but way too much anchovy flavoring. I ordered the lemon chicken (chicken franchise) the chicken was very tough with no lemons nor lemon flavoring served with short cut rigatoni which really isn’t the correct side , a risotto or roasted red skin potato would have a much better choice and no vegetables, the dish was very bland with zero presentation appeal. Neither of us finished our meals and I actually came home and couldn’t hold the food down . I don’t know what happened , what changed , the chef or meat distributors but I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon . The service was just okay, the waiter had nothing to say but to take our orders and give us the check. The atmosphere is wonderful especially sitting on the patio by the water which is why we have been consistent customers . I’ll give it a break and see if things change over the next couple of months . I just find it annoying that when you finally find a good place it turns not so good , it’s unfortunate.

I recently visited this restaurant, and while the view was breathtaking, the experience was spoiled by several cleanliness issues. The glasses had visible lipstick stains, and the coffee cups were not only dirty but also had a lot of spilled coffee around the edges, which made it look unprofessional. It’s unfortunate that such a beautiful setting was overshadowed by these issues. The service was decent, but I hope they address these cleanliness concerns.

Sometimes one person can ruin the entire experience and undo the efforts of a large team. This time, it was the receptionist. She was clearly irritated for some reason, and it affected everything she did. This affected us when we asked for another table, of which there were many in the restaurant. But out of spite, she refused. Her colleague kindly helped us immediately after we asked him. But the evening was already ruined, and the lack of traditional birthday greetings (we had two that evening) didn't even surprise us. Maybe that's why it seemed to us that the quality of the food had changed for the worse since our previous visits, but everyone noted it. So, only a lone star as long as she works at this establishment. Such characters cannot work with people if they cannot control their emotions.
