Upscale, elegant old school Italian restaurant with a full bar. Excellent, attentive service. Generous portions. Tip in cash. There's a prixe fixe special during the week. When I walked in, there was a beautiful woman singing and some patrons danced and sang with her.

I was on my way to NJ on a Tuesday night with my wife and was looking for places to have some good dinner that has a nice atmosphere. I checked best restaurants in Staten Island and Giuliana came out on top. I was skeptical about it because nowadays reviews may not be genuine sometimes. I placed a call to reserve a spot for two, the lady was very friendly on the phone and saved a table for us. Parking is plentiful around the block, we went in a the lady who reserved the spot greeted us and made sure we were happy with our seat. The front portion of the restaurant is small but they have a back area as well where the door is opened to the side street. They had pre-fix dinner that usually offers only Tues - Thurs until 8pm. Since it was Tuesday, we decided to focus on the prefix dinner. The price was extremely reasonable (around $25 per person). It includes an appetizer, main course, coffee, and cheesecake. Which is unheard-of in NY. Without much expectation, I ordered the cheese and tomato while my wife ordered Mussels with red sauce as appetizers. The portion of cheese and tomato is small but very fresh. Meanwhile the Mussels in red sauce was very good, it was fresh and no sand, the sauce was so good we dipped the bread with it. By the way, their bread is very good as well. Here came the main course, we ordered the pork chops with peppers and macaroni. They were equally great as everything is fresh and not overly salty. By the time we finished the main course, we were pretty full, but we still had to make room for the coffee and cheesecake. They had choice of Italian or American cheesecake, so we picked one of each to share. Both cheesecake are also very good but the American cheesecake is by far our favorites because of the texture. Overall, a very satisfying dinner with a Mom and pop shop feel to it. The food they offer is also very unique compared to thousands of Italian restaurants that we see in NY nowadays. Highly recommended! P.S. we ordered a cup of wine as well, it is nothing fancy. However, for $12, it is a reasonable size glass. Also, recommend bringing cash since tips has to be paid by cash. I do not know if there is any extra charge with cards.

Let me start off by saying that I have lived on Staten Island for almost 45 years. How had I NEVER heard of this place? Well, now that I found this fabulous restaurant, I will be using them as my new go to. The food was delicious, the service was spot on & the hostess Ann Marie was an absolute sweetheart. I would recommend Giulianna’s to everyone. You won’t be disappointed. A+ & 5 stars for us. Thank you

I can’t talk highly enough of this place!!!! Absolutely incredible! BEST Italian food my boyfriend and I had in a long time on the island. Super friendly and over accommodating service with fresh and delicious food! My boyfriend requested pesto off the menu- AMAZING. Can’t wait to come back! The mussels and artichoke appetizer was so great I didn’t get to take a picture 😂 and I can’t forget to mention their cheesecake and pistachio gelato. Incredible experience!

Gem on the island. Had an amazing mid-week Anniversary dinner with the wife. Wait staff attentive and welcoming. Dinner was great from apps, pasta, entrees, and dessert.

We came on a Friday. I had the fish oreganata was very good, the rest of my party were happy with their choices Veal. Service very good, atmosphere too loud for me they had a "Singer" , and people were yelling to hear each other. Mood should be less loud, the music needs to be toned down. The owner very attentive manages the restaurant like a pro, and you can see he cares about his patrons. I'll come back, only on another day of the week.

Below is my breakdown of various aspects of this restaurant. Food: Fantastic and fresh. Made to order. The Risotto Special with Vodka sauce is a must try Staff: Very accommodating and friendly. Constant movement and clear communication. Decor: Nice overall, but way to many pictures of customers, etc. The walls are covered in pictures. Negative: They need to be very clear of a credit card up charge. At no time did I see any sign indicating this, nor did the staff let us know before card usage. An extra $6 charge. Ridiculous!!!

Came here with my fiancé on a busy Saturday night. We were sat in the outdoor seating section which was the only available space and it was understandable. The outdoor section was surprisingly very warm which we loved. We ordered mixed drinks to start and when we received them they seemed very rushed and the drinks didn’t taste right. I just assumed the bar was busy and thought nothing of it. We ordered our main entrees, I got the veal Marsala which had 3 very small pieces of veal that were very bland and had no flavor and the sauce did not look like Marsala sauce at all. The potatoes on the side were burnt and very dry. My fiancé got zuppa pesce which she said was fantastic. I honestly would not recommend it because of my personal experience and I really wanted to enjoy it.

We went to Giuliana restaurant, and the experience was very disappointing. The food was terrible, and they seated us in an empty, cold room where we could hardly see anything. It felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming, even though there were other areas available. We’ve been regular customers in the past, but after this experience, we won’t be going back.
