Opinions de K Pot Korean BBQ Staten Island
We came here after graduation (5th grade) of my daughters (twins). The girls had fun preparing their soup by themselves on the pot. They also made barbecue. We ordered seafood and made barbecue with them. It was tasty. The soup, which made daughters, was good too. I recommend coming here with the kids. We spent a good time.
Visited this spot for the first time and had no idea what to expect. Everything is served raw and you cook it on the glass top table. You have a choice of BBQ or soup. We chose soup and a variety a meats and sides to put in it. IT WAS DELICIOUS! They also have a salad bar with various food items including sweet potato fries which were the tastiest, crispness, most delicious waffle sweet potato fries I've EVER had. I would definitely go back here. Its filling, good, and the server was patient with all of our questions.
Went at 6PM on a Monday and just beat having to wait which was great! The service is good although they could try and keep up refilling beverages. The food is actually very good which I honestly wasn’t expecting to be honest. I typically don’t like chain restaurants but this is an exception. The menu is overwhelming at first so going with someone who has been to a place like this would help, but once you figure it out you are in for a treat. The overall experience is great and you will have a good time. 4 people without the tip, the bill was $174 which is reasonable considering the amount of food that was brought over to the table.
I have enjoyed Korean BBQ at this location since their opening. Whether you are sitting in or ordering online the food is ALWAYS reliably delicious. The only place I go to on Staten Island for Beef Bulgogi.
Highly highly recommend this place! Me and my friend come here often, the food is amazing and they have a huge selection on a tablet where you can order off, we usually do the k pot and the ramen both are very very delicious! The staff is also amazing and very friendly! If you’re looking for a delicious meal and something fun to do with a group of friend then this is the place!
I just had the opportunity to try out KPOT Staten Island and am so GLAD that I did. Besides hotpot and barbecue what sets this KPOT apart from others is the fact that they sell sushi 🥢🍣 At this location. My server was Jesa and she was EXCELLENT. Whatever her salary is, please triple her salary IMMEDIATELY. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED A++
Just had an amazing dinner at KPOT BBQ with my family. From the moment we walked in, the staff was super nice and welcoming you could feel the good vibes right away. The food? amazing ofc. So many options to choose from, everything was fresh, the meats, seafood, and the veggies. Everything was well-stocked and came in quick. We tried a bit of everything. The service was also on point, attentive without being overbearing, and our waitress checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. She was so patient and great with us (i came in with kids, iykyk). The whole vibe was welcoming perfect for a family night out. Really shout out to the whole staff🫶🏼
I came here for Korean bbq buffet and they have huge comfy booths. I came here mid day on a Saturday and there was no wait time. They first take your drink order then ask if you are doing hotpot or Korean bbq. We chose the BBQ and you can select which type of raw meats, seafood and veggies you’d like for them to bring over to the table through a tablet. You have to wait 3 minutes before placing another order on the tablet. They also have a buffet on the side for sauces, fruit, some sides like spicy cucumber, kimchi, seaweed salad, spring rolls, fries etc. A side of rice comes to your table automatically. Just take note that they will charge an additional fee for any leftover food, so don’t order too much initially. Definitely recommend!
I’ve heard great things about this place, so I had come check it out for myself! Boy it didn’t disappoint ☺️! I love that the waiters actually cook the meats you choose and are attentive, which by the way you have a pretty great selection of pork beef chicken and some seafood (I wouldn’t suggest the shrimp it’s not cleaned, but the squid was good). Most of the food is seasoned well and tasty. They give you an array of selections for the sides and they were definitely tasty. I enjoyed the egg soufflé, calamari, fried chicken, fried rice but you can taste them all, so go for it. The place was packed definitely family oriented and everyone seemed as content as I was. I will be back for more.
Really delicious Korean BBQ with hot pot options available! Ordering was easy as every table had their own iPad to put in orders and staff would bring the food over relatively quickly. It is mostly self grill, and was a bit of a struggle to get one of the staff to change the grill plate occasionally. The snacks bar was a nice bonus! They had some sushi, banchan side dishes, and drinks like milk tea and taro. Overall would recommend stopping by!
Had BBQ and sushi today. Food bar has so many fruits and appetizers. The lady who around us with long hairs, she so friendly. All the female staffs are very friendly. 🙃The beef steaks quality weren’t good. no matter how to cook, still so dry and hard to chew. The table and the menu were so dirty so sticky.
The concept of combining Korean BBQ and hot pot is genius — you get the best of both worlds in one sitting. The variety of meats, veggies, and sauces was great, and everything tasted fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially when explaining how things worked since it was our first time. The food is not 5 star worthy but still satisfying.
Kpot is an AYCE Korean BBQ and Hotpot restaurant located in the heart of Staten Island. The service is good. They bring the meats out quite quickly, and refill water and drinks just as quick, though most of the time you don't interact with your servers when it comes to cooking your food. Doesn't bother me, I expect it with Korean BBQ places, but if you expect them to cook for you, it may be a shock. The food is good. The quality is expected for AYCE restaurants, though the price is really good for the portions and how much you can eat. I tended to like the Korean BBQ more than the Hotpot, but felt that it was missing some staples of Korean BBQ. They do have side dishes and sauces available to grab for free as well.
Nice Korean BBQ and Hot Pot place with friendly service. Our family stopped by KPOT on Staten Island for a family dinner in Dec 2024. It was our first time in Korean BBQ and Hot Pot place so we needed a little bit of a learning. We went with a full 3-options package including Sushi, Hot Pot, and BBQ. From sushi menu we ordered some special rolls and sushi salad. Salad was delicious. The rolls were ok, but certainly inferior to what you get in a Japanese sushi place. Our conclusion was that Sushi option could be safely skipped. Hot Pots were nice and tasty. We got different broths and various meats. For BBQ we ordered a variety of meats, some fish, and vegies. The best and tastiest one was Beef Bulgogi. It was perfectly marinated and came out juicy, tender and delicious. Finger ribs and Short ribs were good as well. Spicy salmon was excellent. The few types of steaks however were tough and lacked flavor. Another fish option stated "grouper" but was in fact a tilapia. The atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly. It was somewhat inconvenient to have a single ordering handheld for 7 people, but that's probably a standard practice at such places. The appetizers bar had only sauces (huge variety), chicken nuggets, and deserts. It would be nice to have some kind of a coat check as all smells from hot pots and BBQ get absorbed by the clothes. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and can recommend KPOT if you are looking for a Korean BBQ / Hot Pot experience on Staten Island.
I rate this establishment three stars. As a first-time visitor, I found it lacking in clear instructions. While it is commendable that guests are encouraged to prepare their own meals and assist with other tasks, providing comprehensive guidance on the necessary procedures would enhance the overall experience.
Drastically different than when they first opened. We were excited to bring our friends, first timer hot pot and kbbq to experience something new. We didn’t even know we needed to order from the tablet until we saw the other tables ordering this way. No instructions when we sat down. Service was non-existent. We had to ask several times for water refills and soup refills. Maybe just put a pitcher of water for the table. No one came to check the table to see how everything was going. Gratuity was automatically added since we were a party of 6+. Servers and team would get the gratuity regardless of their services. The pricing for kids is a bit high, the kids ate 1 ramen each, some nuggets and water for $16.99. Because the kids were part of the table and the adults did 2 options, the kids automatically added +$5, they didn’t even touch the kbbq. $11.99 would have been reasonable. It was a nice touch to give them plastic cups with covers for water. Some food options also were not available. If you’re charging for dinner prices for weekend lunch, then it would be nice if everything was stocked. If not stocked, then don’t show the option. Snow crabs were not fresh, fishy at best. All the plates of food came as if they were just sprinkled and thrown together carelessly. Unfortunately, would not recommend if it’s your first time experiencing hot pot or kpot. Try Cast Iron for K-BBQ.
I recently visited KPOT and had a mixed experience. The hotpot portion was solid -- the ingredients were fresh, and most of the veggies and meats were of good quality. I'd definitely come back just for that. However, the KBBQ side was a major letdown. The meat was very tough, poorly marinated, and overall felt like low quality. It really took away from the overall experience, and I wouldn't recommend coming here for the BBQ. That said, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and quick to help with anything we needed. If you're coming here, stick to hotpot -- skip the KBBQ. Don't think I'll be visiting again. But if anyone coming for a quick dinner, it will get the job done. Lastly, I forgot the mention. The restaurant needs better ventilation. The restaurant was like a smoke shop. My two star is just for the service from the workers.
This place is hot trash now. Menu items are extremely limited. All the food that came out looked old or freezer burnt. We ordered taro and it was already withered. All the meat that came out was already sweating as if their freezer was broken for the day. The crab legs were discolored. Some of the sliced beef we got looked like they ripped it with their hands. Yikes!!
A over a month after the fact and this situation still bothers me. My party went to this KPot the Friday after Christmas for lunch. After being seated we were told that today was all day dinner, despite it being around 1:00. I was already sat and decided to stay anyway. On our first order I saw this big bug on the Bok choy, absolutely disgusting. My party and I immediately alerted our waitress and planned on just leaving. Our waitress grabbed the Bok choy quickly and rushed off. She came back about 5 minutes off and said her manager offered 20% off. We already planned on leaving, but not even offering to reduce the price to the lunch price we should’ve been paying anyway and the manager not coming over himself to speak to us was insulting. Disappointed to say I’ll never go back, not even because of the obvious huge BUG on the food but the response of management was beyond unsatisfactory.
The staff at this restaurant doesn’t seem to care about their guests. When we arrived, they seated us at a table where the grill was already dirty. We also had piles of dirty dishes on our table, and no one even bothered to clear them. We constantly had to wait for someone to replace the skillet, and the overall attitude made us not want to come back. The same place located on 22nd Road, they really know how to make customers want to return.
