So we were here a few months back and we returned. The food was delicious other than the app. We had steak fajita, chicken fajita, burrata salad with avocado and burger. All were yummy and filling. Nice portion for the fajitas but they only give 3 tiny wraps. They might want to get bigger wraps or give more bc 3 dlwas not enough. We had the Brussel sprouts for app. Only complaint, they were greasy this time. Last time they were crispy and delicious so we were disappointed with that. We also ordered guacamole with fajitas and that never came out. Even after the waitress asked the kitchen again. One GIANT TURN OFF, A girl comes around and asks to take your picture. This is new. We assumed it was for their social media or something. 10 minutes later she comes back with our pictures in frames and wants to see them for $20, what??? It felt like a Times Square scam. Of course now my husband buys one bc she lays them all out in front of you and you are uncomfortable. Richmond Republic.... GET RID OF THIS. We came to have a nice family meal, this is not the place to be scammed into buying a picture! Atmosphere would of been a 5 if it wasn't for this.

Went here for the first time today. I was so torn between all the menu choices and drinks. Ordered the 'rainbow cookie' milkshake which according to the menu was supposed to have vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream, and rainbow cookie pieces inside. Instead I got a strawberry milkshake, and not even a good one. It had way too much milk in it, not enough ice cream. This was my only bad experience really. Otherwise I got the tortellini Mac n cheese appetizer which i split with someone and it was really good, but extremely filling. So when I got my main course (the Matrix burger with a beyond burger patty) I could barely eat it. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach, sadly. 🥲 Gave 4 stars for the $12 bad strawberry shake but I'd definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

**ON PANDEMIC** Nice environment, food was delicious and pretty fast serviced. Good spot for a chill vibe. Outside dining for the moment. Great spot for friends & family. Appetizers are pretty huge! At night the environment switches more to a drinkable night. Also can celebrate birthdays here!

Went here for lunch after hearing great things about this place. Overall pretty decent. Not much to choose from on the menu. It consists of many appetizers. It’s also a little pricey. Not a bad spot though. Service was great and friendly. Nice atmosphere, a little dark for the day time though!

The last time I reviewed this restaurant was five years ago, and I gave it five stars. Unfortunately, my visit this Saturday will likely be my last. The service has deteriorated significantly; it is now both slow and inattentive, and the prices are too high for the portions provided. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty at 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, our lunch took 20 to 30 minutes to arrive. After we finished, it took another 20 minutes for anyone to check on us or offer dessert. I had to get up and find someone to ask for take-home containers and to place our dessert order. We ordered a $15 lava cake, expecting a decent size, but the portion was disappointingly small and insufficient for even one person. It's really sad; the food is good, but the poor service and high costs are off-putting.

The food took too long to arrive and when it did, all of our meals were cold. One of the egg in Eggs Benedict didn't have yolk, muffin was soggy and Hollander sauce didn't have e salt. The food didn't taste good either, which made the experience worse. Asked for cocktail to be less sweet and it still came really sweet. Would not recommend.

BYOB. They have a couple of workers who walk behind the bar but no one approaches. There's plenty of TVs though so as long as you bring your own drinks you drink and watch the game. Can't speak on the food though because again none of workers speak to the customers

Do not eat here. I was served the worst meal I ever had. Not edible. I got a bad vibe when we walked in and no one was there. Not one patron. It was late on a Monday so I thought maybe that was the reason. It wasn’t. The food is absolutely vile. We were a party of six and were seated at a tiny table with the most uncomfortable metal chairs. We ordered 2 appetizers to share, and we all ordered burgers as our entrée. The pretzel was more like soft bread than a pretzel and the cheese sauce tasted nothing like cheese. The chicken wings were dry and cold. Definitely sitting around for a couple of days. Everyone got the smash burger and I got the Richmond burger. I asked for it to be well done. It arrived pink and cold. I sent it back. When it came back it was on a new bun. But when I cut it in half I noticed it was still pink and cold but it was very thin and falling apart. What they did was they cut the top off and left the bottom of the burger that was cooked a little bit more. They never put it back on the grill. It was ice cold and when they cut the top off they also cut the cheese off so all that was left was a thin layer of beef. When I called the waiter over to show him he said he couldn’t do anything about it because the kitchen staff left already. That tells me that they never put it back on the grill, all they did was cut it in half and send it back. It was a shred of beef masked in a lot of lettuce. Wish I took a pic. Won’t ever return here.

dont go here. waiters dont care about anything and the food takes insanely long. came here on thanksgiving eve for my brothers birthday and the waitress did everything in her power to mess it up. burger was wrong and took an hour. didnt apologize or comp us with anything. truly the worst restaurant experience i have had. sucks that this place sucks!!!!

It was edible. I got full Flavor was scarce It was OKAY. The fried pickles were still half frozen and mushy at the same time, the onion rings had a great outer crunch, but alas mushy inside as well. The fries were crunchy but also cold. The steak sandwich was decent

With a great regret, we leave this review. We have been to Richmond Republic, many times in the past the service is steadily gone downhill. The food has also went downhill this past Sunday went to watch the football game, terribly understaffed. The food took forever to come out, the wings were overcooked. The waiter was nowhere to be found. Had to get our own drinks from the bar. Don’t understand what’s going on with this establishment with a total of 10 people in the bar. The service should’ve been adequate but was not we regret to say that we would not go back again

I get there with a reservation for two. They seat us at a table for 6 and in the uncomfortable chairs they have. My husband and I were uncomfortable so I went back to the hostess and ask for a booth as there were 5 booths open. A woman behind the desk tells me she can’t seat me in one bc they have reservations for those tables. I say okay and go back to my uncomfortable table and proceed to watch those booths remain mostly empty the entire meal. I then order nachos and drinks. Nachos never come the entire meal. Then I go to order the beyond burger. I’m a vegetarian. I went here because their menu had a behind burger on it. The waitress says they don’t have it anymore and haven’t updated their online menu. I order the only thing on there that’s vegetarian, the grilled cheese with caramelized onion and substitute fries for the soup as the soup isn’t vegetarian. About an hour later my grilled cheese shows. It is about the size of a crouton. It is absolutely the smallest grilled cheese I have ever seen in my life. My husband ordered the burger and he said it had gristle in it and was sub par. So basically the metal chairs are uncomfortable, the staff is awful and the food was not good. Not to mention the online menu doesn’t even match what they have currently. I can see why it was mostly empty at 7 on a Saturday night.

South shore of Staten island. This place is spacious great for big gatherings, sporting events and like this Saturday night DJ CAMILO (who’s always great). I’ve come here a few times and every time the disappointment increases. The service besides the people at the door charging was atrocious to say the least. We had to stop servers 3 times to get served and finally went to the bar where the bartenders are rude, obnoxious and with an entitlement complex. Every time I ordered from who seemed like the head bartender (Gabby) she had a nasty distasteful look on her face. I then proceeded to order drinks from another bartender and left my wallet at the table, by the time I reached in my bag to get it, gabby, with a full bar, was tapping my shoulder, saying “ you have to pay for that” I proceeded to show her what I was doing and all she could say is hurry up, (mind you my table was in front of the bar). The stench of racial tension was evident, welcome to Staten Island south shore. The rest of the night although I enjoyed dancing made the best of it and kept a smile on my face there were similar incidents. I went to say something nice to the bartender and touched her hand she called the bouncer on me, the waiter that finally came shoving the check at my friend and finally the bouncer asking (very respectfully) I had to leave. When I asked him why he said “I honestly don’t know why” I expressed I was in my way out anyway and left. YOULL NEVER FIND ME HERE 🤨
