Opinions de Fuzzy's Taco Shop Stephenville
Honestly one of my favorite places in town. Great for a college town. I recommend a salad. With a great outside dining. Rhough it is close to a busy road so you hear the cars the entire time.
The tacos were bomb! The best ive had in a while. Or was national margarita day so we got our margaritas for 3$ and they were very strong but delicious for the price
I love our local Fuzzy's! Their tempura shrimp tacos and grilled veggie tacos are truly AMAZING! In the mornings you won't go hungry, as they roll some great chorizo burritos!
Awesome tacos & margaritas!! Prices are reasonable & employees are super friendly!! Would definitely recommend Fuzzy's to anyone!! *Only bad thing is the sweet tea tastes like it's burnt... 🥴 Other than that, it's a great place!!
These people are my family, okay? They have never judged me for ordering four tacos in a sitting. They provide me with beer. My relationship with the Fuzzy's staff has outlasted most of my actual relationships. 10/10 would call them all "my precious children" again.
Coolest staff, best food, great prices, better Margaritas. We love this place. If you’re not happy here, you won’t be happy anywhere. #welovefuzzys
We stopped at ate here while down in the area working. This place has some awesome food. A little expensive but well worth it. I will definitely be eating here again on our next trip this way.
Makayla needs a raise!!!! I asked her to make a coconut margarita and she KNOCKED it out of the park. She was soooo sweet and helpful, made my drink even better then I was expecting! Food was also awesome.
The breakfast burrito was damn near the size of a newborn. Idk how they make money charging $6 for it. Bacon was perfect, eggs, cheese, potatoes. It was all good. Would recommend breakfast burrito if you are extremely hungry.
We are having a family reunions this weekend and we ordered from a different Fuzzys and we did not recieve Everything we called the Stephenville location and they had everything ready in less than 15 minutes! They saved the day! Thank you so much!
Every stop in Stephenville includes a trip here. Great service. Clean. And great for the whole family.
The drinks were amazing. Food was decent. Could've been alittle fresher. The girl at the counter was so great but didn't really explain alit of what we were supposed to do to get our food and such. It was cafeteria style set up and dump but with silverware and real margarita cups. Was kinda loud for the middle of the day but the vibes of "they are regulars" made it ok. Some games to play also. The decor and vibes were great.
Food was great! A chicken salad came in a h-u-g-e bowl! A burrito bowl also came in a h-u-g-e bowl! Very generous portions! The combo plate was a soft shell beef taco and I chose the pulled pork enchilada with 2 sides. Both were yummy! The cheese nacho plate was enough for the whole table! Good food. Order and pay at the counter. Handicapped parking and entry was adequate. We will return another time.
Discovered Fuzzy's during a recent trip to Stephenville. Great atmosphere, tacos were yummy and the frozen vodka cranberry hit the spot on a hot day! Will definitely come back!
Man, I was really impressed with my visit at fuzzy in Stephenville today. I’ve been here several times. I got the margarita tacos and the California tacos and the food was perfect. I give it a 10 great job!
Great place to go and have a drink with friends or just to go have a few tacos with family. This is however a very collegiate hangout and I have been with my kids and had students using fowl language around us, so that wasn't cool. But I also understand how popular it is with the college aged students so I take that into consideration when I go now. I LOVE their chips and queso and it's pretty much impossible to go and not have some while waiting! I recommend the shrimp tempura tacos on corn! One recommendation for the owners, however - I liked the tacos with more sauce and it seems lately they don't have as much. I guess hate a preference by person, but I love it!
Great food, reasonably priced. If you like to be out and about and you enjoy people and don't mind a little noise, this is the place to be! I have respect for this company also for the EXTRA measures taken regarding women's safety and procedures put in place to provide direct assistance to women seeking escape or refuge from harm and abuse. Core values should always be observed and praised when a company is going out of their eat to be advanced in an area that is not even REQUIRED. Way to go Fuzzys.
We came as a family even though it is very geared toward young adults. We ordered three different entrees and each were very good. The price is fair but expect to spend a bit more then other places. It's not Taco Bell, you pay more for the quality. The staff were polite and helpful. An improvement over our last visit was that it did not smell like sour rags.
Solid lunch spot to celebrate a special day for a friend. Food quality has improved a lot lately. Service was very good just not 5 star. Will return.
This place was very good. I enjoyed their birria tacos and their Bahama mama cocktail during happy hour 2-4
Great food and great views to look at while eating
Super impressed with how low the prices are for the quality! The cranberry vodka slushy was amazing
This is another Great Texas food place Tacos and Burritos Of Course!! They have lots of vegetarian choices. Again we were in from out of town we used to live in the area in Weatherford but we came to the Stephenville location as my son lives down here. We had some great tacos and my son and his girlfriend both had huge burritos. They have wonderful margaritas (are huge and delicious)
This is a nice relaxing place. You can still out on the covered patio or out in the sun or inside in the A/C and watch the game! Nice beautiful friendly people work here and the choice of beer is incredible! The menu is super huge! They have just about everything you can think of here! Just go already!
I've been a Fuzzy customer for many years. Always been satisfied. If the budget would allow, is eat there 3 or 4 times a week. Good happy hour too!
I was looking for comfort food; but the restaurant was temperature cool, like outside (56F) and the fans were on too. Luckily I had a jacket! Can you serve chicken Tortilla soup please? It can be bought dehydrated, so boiling water can just be added to it. A warm bowl of chicken tortilla soup, quesadillas, rice, whole beans, and chips would really hit the spot!! Or just the breakfast plate with the tortilla soup!! Thanks for being open for breakfast, for the other 2/3 of employees who work the night shifts. Thanks for hiring great cashiers, cooks and waitresses. Just please add Tortilla soup (sort of like instant Ramen; but Spanish instead of Oriental) to the menu!! It low calorie, but spicy and helps warm the heart. One of the many ways to endear people to you; warm their stomachs! Yours in Servive, Lisa Marie P.s. I’d buy it on the shelf too!!!
Good resturnat, typical college atmosphere. Liked food, clean resturnat, seat yourself get your own drinks. Only complaint is restroom is right next to cooking area so I could hear rap music through the walls. But kinda as expected for college kids. Food average, kinda upper fastfood mexican style so to speak.
I have never been to a Fuzzy's but this was a good first impression. I have heard a lot of hype about this place, and I can honestly say that it didn't live up to it. That is why I didn't give it 5 stars. It is decent food for a decent price.
Good restaurant with a fun and casual atmosphere. Their food is generally tasty and the queso is delicious. If you are a ordering a dish with queso it is probably great. Minus one star for the cold and soggy fish taco.
It's a great place to eat and have a good watch on some sport games. It's also a good place for under age drinking. Not having to show an ID, but a picture of one on your phone works just fine
Terrific food!! I sure miss the one in Mineral Wells. The only reason they didn’t get a 5th star is because they don’t carry Budweiser.
Great place to eat! Had the grilled shrimp tacos and they were friggin awesome! Everyone with me gobbled our food up like mad. The only downside for me was the frozen margarita. The flavor to it was something I still cant describe and to me was horrible. It could be my personal preference of flavor expectation out of a margarita or it could have just been a bad batch but either way it is something that I will only take one sip of ever unless it is not on my dime and somebody says try it. Either way, as long as the food is as awesome as it was, Ill still eat there but will serve the margarita from my blender at home.
The food is great, as usual at a Fuzzy's, but whoever was working the front counter could not have been ruder and less friendly if she tried. Seriously, either training is needed or she needs to find a place that makes her happier.
Pretty good food, wouldn't order the chicken quesadilla again (too much gristle in the meat) but the shredded beef nachos were super delish. It's really noisy, even on a weeknight when it wasn't that busy I had to shout to hear my wife across the table. And the back room was really cold, we didn't take our jackets off the whole time.
Tacos were really good, they do cater to a younger crowd which is ok but I wouldn't take my kids in there with an evening crowd. Quite a few drink options which I liked, again the taco were great but the charro beans stole the show, the best I've ever had!
Great location for this restaurant. First time at this location.
We enjoy going to Fuzzy's in Stephenville on our paid day Friday's. The gentleman that always helps us, I believe his name is Jeremiah or Jerry, he is great to talk to while we are order our food and drinks. He also check on our group throughout our visits, which shows amazing customer service, which the world is short on these days. Thank you Sir for making the end of our work week enjoyable, it is much appreciated! 👏👏👏
A decent place to get a bite and a beer. Although neither will be loved any kind of good quality. And the food is most certainly not Mexican. What they serve here is an Americanized version of Mexican food, and although you will get a decent meal, if you're coming here, it's for the company, the beer, or the TV. Not the food. They have in the past been known to serve a very good margarita, but entirely depends on whether or not they have a good bartender at the bar. Unfortunately they usually do not have a good bartender, as the Staffing employee are not the type to stick around and actually become good at making drinks.
Great organizations, flavor & decoration. Plates...definitely small. Beef fajitas had huge chunks of pepper, 3 SMALL tortillas n enough food to fill them up? Two side dishes that were definitely smaller than average....almost generic kids size. The chips with queso....had more of an Alfredo sauce with coloring instead of cheese. Needs improvement in size or lower prices.
I'm sure we arrived after a Sunday lunch rush. Food decent but nothing to write home about but the restaurant was a wreck. Service was non existent. How bad you ask? I've had better service at McDonald's. I won't be back because it was just so meh. I've worked front and back of house and will excuse a lot of things but a lack of a customer interaction and cleanliness is a huge deal breaker for me.
Always friendly staff. potato's are hit and miss. Admit I enjoy my fuzzy's chain but heard they recently got bought out by ihop or something like that so lets all fact check and boycott sellouts, just kidding...... I'm just still upset about the rice change. capt. and Dr.P is 10/10. love an evolving menu sometimes the staff recommends add in's to make my drink even more yummy. love that.
I’m fairly new to stephenville, but every time I come to this location I receive undesirable customer service. Specifically, the girls at the front stand there and continue to talk while I am waiting to order, and I have to get their attention (which is supposed to be the opposite), and always have an attitude for no particular reason. But the food is always good, so it’s worth the money, if you don’t mind the staff.
We had the cheese enchilada plate with a double order of black beans, 1 spicy pork taco and 1 shredded chicken taco. They go overboard with the cilantro on the tacos. Everything tasted good just nothing great or outstanding. They served a draft Ultra with the entire rim covered in salt. I've never seen that done anywhere! The employees working the order/drink counter got a little attitude about redoing the beer without lime or salt. We apologized a couple times and said if we'd have known it was served that way we'd have said no lime or salt. You could tell they were still not happy we didn't want it that way even with our apology. The crown apple margarita was good.
This place has gone WAY downhill. Employees at the front are always friendly, but the food To-Go is cold when you get it, even if you stand there waiting on it to be done. The cooks are extremely rude if you politely walk up to the window and mention things are cold or missing. Talking to management is also completely worthless. But again, the girls at the front have always been very nice and continue to check on your order and communicate with you ❤️
I’ve had to revise my review and give one star. Came today, picked up a salad and my ranch was chunky then there was this large chunk of something gross in one of the ranch dressing containers. Not a clue what it is but it’s not ranch. Gave me about half the amount of salad as Fuzzy’s normally gives and shorted my kid two Sopapillas. Also the only Fuzzy’s I’ve been to that seasons the shredded brisket and actually makes it taste like a taco, which was delish.
Only been twice, all I ate there was a salad. I had a margarita and it tasted like syrup. The service was pretty quick. Personally, I won't be going back.
Our queso was cold and I ordered a ,e spicy pork burrito smothered and it was cold as well. I also ordered frozen whiskey & coke, they said it would take about 5 minutes for it to freeze but they would bring it out when it was ready. Went and checked on it after 15 minutes still wasn't ready, waited another 10 minutes still not ready xxxgbxdddxdnnnbzxso zdwb exec d edthey offered a margarita to replace it.
The food today reminded me of why we don't eat there. It's just a little higher quality Taco Bell. Their queso was about the only good thing there. We won't be going back.
One o'clock in the afternoon on a Monday and beer mugs are not cold nor the beer. Tacos where a disappointment. Love my fuzzys but not this one. They need to take lessons from the Fuzzys in Willow Park. Coldest beer in Texas.
Quesidalla was lacking meat. My beans were very dry. The queso was the best thing. Tea was old. The front girl was very courteous and apologized for our meal we will not be back it wasn't busy and there is no excuse for the food.
This is probably the dirtiest one ever. Halls smells like urine. Restrooms not clean. Smells funky. Spicy pork was dried out refried beans were hard and no cheese. Not busy 2 people in the place.
Never no cold goblets.Always running out would-be nice to upgrade so customers can enjoy a cold beer or drink. Need to replace fans outside. Nice when they were operational.
I love Fuzzys but this one is not up to par wirh others. The flour tortillas are super small compared to others.Everyone of them is like eating a street taco. The salads are small with smaller amounts of meat inside. And the flavors were not that appealing. Hopefully they can get it together.
Sat outside which was fine. The lids on all condiments were gross. The tv screens- gross! The tacos good! The chips so saturated with oil. Couple oil stains on my clothing. You were not busy at all.
I loved this Fuzzy’s last time I was here. But today, every table was dirty (they weren’t busy). So, I cleaned our table myself. The sweet tea didn’t have any sugar. An employee walked up and asked if I liked it. I let him know that someone forgot to put sugar in it. He just said, “No. It has sugar.” I just let him know again that it didn’t. Maybe it’s an off day, because last time I was here the tea was sweet and the place was clean.
Food was great, as always. But for the love of Tacos, why do service industries continue to have people who have absolutely no desire to be there, work, or have a good personality, be the first face you see in their restaurant? The young girl at the cashier had a lackluster personality that was in dire need of an overhaul. Just ask the employees if they want to work. If they don’t want to earn a paycheck, tell them to go home.
Chicken Bowl was terrible, wilted lettuce and was exaggerated with salt and seasoning to the point of hardly being able to eat. Thankfully the rice and black beans were ok. Some of the worst food I’ve had in town. Came in at a peak supper hour to an empty restaurant… probably a reason.
Are you joking. We just ordered five different meals to go and not a single one was right. This place has been crap for the last 3 years. I mean come on, zero out of five orders. A cheese enchilada with no dang cheese. Shrimp tacos with one shrimp in them, one dang shrimp. Come on, get it together.
Ordered through doordash. First, missing side of sour cream and side of chips I was charged for. Second, luke warm at best. Third, chicken had no flavor and queso didn't help. Ordered enchilada plate with chicken enchiladas and refried beans.
We ordered 2 shredded chicken salads with avocado ranch. They came without avocado Ranch and without tortilla strips. My blue moon came without an orange. Tables were dirty and flies flying around. Cashier cleaned some tables but only picked up dirty plates and did not wipe tables down.
Very rude servers and workers at the front. The person who served us, said her name was Destinie, was out in the front with friends when we walked in, didn't come in for three to five minutes and then acted like we were inconveniencing her when ordering. If not for this, it would've been a great experience. Nice place, needs better staff
The food and sitting situation were awful. The quesadilla had an uneven disbursement of sauce that was enough to ruin the whole thing. The tables were filthy as if they hadnt been wiped down all day. Employees were rude. To top it all off we hate eye level with a roach.
Usually we have a awsome time in our Fuzzy's Tacos in Arlington, so we were excited to find one here in Stevenville. We waited forever for our food and checked multiple times and they still weren't making our food. Finally after 30 minutes we finally got our food. When we said something the cook was really rude about it. Next time we will skip eating here.
Staff clearly doesnt want to be there and definitely let you know about it. Cant seem to peel away from their cell phones to make a simple sale
We did door dash. Ordered brisket nachos... No nacho chz or brisket or feta chz. I called and manager said we don't deal with door dash. I said y'all are the ones who messed up. The only thing they did was replace what I paid for only if we went to pick it up. Whole purpose was for us not to get out.
Drove a hour to eat because said it was open till 11 they decided to close early didn’t say anything till after we paid and ordered margaritas. My parents came to meet us were there 30 second after we got there and refused to serve them. Sat down then said on intercom to get out . So basically paid for caso a guacamole we had to throw away. And spent money on margaritas we couldn’t drink they would have melted before we got home . Customer service was terrible !!!
This place needs a good scrubbing. And needs people with some personality. Food was not good. Beans were pasty and cold. The lettuce in my chicken salad was rotten. Will not go back until they clean it up.
Just stopping through town on our way back to DFW…service is terrible. We waited for 50 minutes for our food and it’s still not at our table. There are about 3 tables full right now with employees standing around doing nothing. Finally asked for a refund. 3 cashiers, a dishwasher and 2 managers standing around with one cook in the kitchen. Can someone please let the managers know that they should be in the kitchen helping instead of standing around doing nothing? So glad we don’t go to this place regularly!
Good service. Food was Mediocre. The bathrooms where dirty and there were so many flies it was disgusting. Flies all over the food on the pick-up counter and flying around the restaurant we left shortly after getting are food cause a fly landed in my daughter's nachos. The staff seemed completely oblivious to the situation or didn't care. Grossest restaurant experience in awhile. I wish I could give it zero stars
Stood in line for 25 minutes to be told it was a 50 minute wait for food. Took an hour to get our food. We took it to go 5 minutes later, all tacos were cold, 2 were wrong and there was only one cup of cheese for 2 full nachos.
Tables always dirty, no one answers the phone. Given multiple chances. Thinking the repeat customers are here for the drinks. Just sad. Hey Fuzzys why don't you notify your canceled orders? Sure would love to be reimbursed for mine. Enjoy the donation I guess
Went in for some queso Blanco at 7:45 last night, and the brunette behind the counter told me y'all didn't serve that. So I asked if y'all had stopped serving it permanently, and she got weird. So I asked if it was no longer served at the Stephenville location or if it was all Fuzzy's locations. A second person appeared to confirm that there was no queso to be had and the brunette started glaring. I was there with one if my daughters and I told suggested we go to Montana's. Of COURSE my adult child pointed out the picture of queso blanco on the billboard menu. At that point I told her I knew there was a pic on the menu and we were going to Montana's. The rage from behind the counter was palpable. If your evening profits are bad, you might want to put audio in your cameras. Montana's was packed and y'all were pretty dead.
My very first time at fuzzys. Rude staff. I was there an hour before closing, waited 45 minutes for 2 tacos. The female staff members rushed me to make my order and said "don't be nervous, sit down since you work so hard" and proceeded to make snide comments about my job and how "hard I work". I went there because I have heard good things, but the staff that "helped" me were extremely rude. I will never go there again other than to let a manager know how my experience went.
Today me and my wife got married and we decided last minute to eat at fuzzys. A small skinny red head attempted to take our order. She was super rude and when we asked her questions she literally walked away without saying anything. Had to get someone else to take our order. Later went back for our another drink and she tried to keep our change. Literally the worst experience at a restaurant.
Ordered their famous chips and queso and 1 taco. After 30 mins I went back to counter, and ask about food. Basically they blam me for not serving me my food. I got refund and left. Cant recommend. My friend said his was mediocre at best, and our co-works advised us not to go. Wish I had listened. Im rating food at 1 star, but i actually never tasted anything myself.
I've been to several Fuzzy's all over north Texas and they're all hit or miss but this one is by far the worst. Stale chips, rude staff, and the fish tacos were smaller than any other in the franchise. It should have been a warning that I was the only customer at noon on a Saturday. Dirty, overpriced, and not worth your time or money.
The sopapia bites tasted like cardboard and the queso didn't have a taste at all..
Got "burria tacos" Food: my food was old I could tell I don't always expect made to order but you could tell that my tacos had been under the heat lamp for quite some time. My limes were old and dehydrated to the point where I couldn't get any liquid. The sause was ok. Atmosphere: the music kept randomly going off and on and loud and soft. Place was empty Service: front service was ok. Back service neglects to even try to tell you when the food is ready and there were not a lot of people there. This may have been some of the reason my food was stone cold but not 100 percent because although I did wait to see if it was mine it didn't stay that long to be as old tasting as it was. Price: alot of places have gone up in price and I understand that happens but the price for two small tacos was not worth the value at all it's at best a snack.
Ordered a shredded chicken burrito and the rice was practically half cooked and crunchy.. the chicken wasn't shredded either. It was more like one solid piece of dry, under seasoned chicken breast. This Fuzzys used to be so good too.. Very disappointing
I’m honestly done with this location. I love Fuzzy’s and the one from back home has never let me down, so I know this isn’t just me being picky. This place is nowhere near the same. Both of us got taco plates with beans and rice. The first time I came, the tortillas were cold, the beans were hard like they’d been sitting forever, and the rice was undercooked. I figured maybe it was a bad day and decided to try again. Huge mistake. The rice was even more undercooked than last time, the beans were still hard, and the tacos were completely drowned in mayonnaise to the point where that’s all you could taste. What really pushed it over the edge was seeing the cooks vaping inside while making food. That’s disgusting. It made it very clear they don’t care about cleanliness or food safety at all. It ruined my appetite and honestly made me feel sick. I get that I could ask for new food, but I shouldn’t HAVE to do that every time I come. After the first bad experience, I shouldn’t be dealing with the exact same problems again. At that point it’s not a mistake, it’s just how this place operates.
This was not only TERRIBLE but there was a roach in my Bowl! Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting!!!! Do NOT eat here!
Food was terrible. Who puts mayo on a shrimp taco. Definitely the worst shrimp taco I have ever ordered. I took one bite and couldn't even eat the rest. I asked for a salted rim mug for my beer and was given a bottle with salt down the side of it. My husband's meal was equally terrible. We will never be back there are far better places for tacos in this town.
i would never came again tocos fell apart even before i started eating them the sweet tea was not sweet princess where high for one toco
I came here with the intention on eating tacos, but left after hearing one of the line cooks talk crap on my husband for asking the manager to asked the cook how long he had in the restroom. I watch this same cook not was his hands when returning to the line and continue to talk more smack. So I opted to not eat there and left.
The guy working the register when we came in was very rude and unpleasant to deal with! We had to wait for him to decide to get off his phone to come and help us, after paying and getting our drinks we said thank you and just got ignored! Getting a second round of drinks and the experience was no better! We love fuzzys and this location but this was a terrible experience
My husband and I have been frequenting Fuzzy locations for many years and usually have a very good experience. We have been to the Stephenville location a few times now and every time we dine in we feel like we are inconveniencing the staff somehow. Granted we do visit a little late for lunch (2:15 pm) but since we are the ONLY customers spending money here at this time you would think we would be treated like King and Queen, instead were treated like we had done something egregious. I believe our order was taken by the manager who asked to take our order by saying "you about ready?" Then the gentleman making the food was very unfriendly and acted as though I had personally wronged him. In short (or maybe long in this case) the food and atmosphere are great but the staff needs some serious help. I don't leave reviews on places often but I feel like people should know how rude the staff can be.
Came in at 9 pm and they were open until 11 and couldn’t get any grilled items or breakfast, was told brisket was only option, they closed down kitchen 2 hours before close??? I work in the restaurant business and would be fired if I did this to my customers. Such a horrible experience and business practice!
Well this was the place we enjoyed going, after I found this I will no longer go to this Fuzzys again. I saved this part of the burrito for leftovers to have at work and dug into this piece of plastic in my burrito at lunch time, lost my appetite now. They weren't even that busy when we went at 2PM in the afternoon on a Saturday, very disappointed. I'll try another Fuzzys somewhere else
