Opinions de la Madeleine Sugar Land
I recently tried the mini tarts from La Madeleine, and they were absolutely divine! The flavors I chose were the lemon tart, fresh fruit tart, and chocolate tart. Each bite was a burst of delightful goodness, with a perfect balance of sweetness and freshness. The pastry was flaky, and the fillings were rich and flavorful. La Madeleine's mini tarts are a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth. I highly recommend this place for its delicious treats and excellent service.
Excellent customer service!Food is Delicious! I highly recommend dining here you will be happy ypu did! I have had the pleasure of having the same Person he is knowledgeable, professional, patient and makes you feel like family
ToGo staff were friendly and even the cashier guy helping dine-in guests. I noticed the dine-in cashier takes him time making guests feel welcomed, going above and beyond to put smiles on faces which gave my heart a warm hug. The way he communicates with guests seems to be just who he is, his personality and heart must be big. I did not get his name but he was about 5ft tall, Hispanic or of Latin roots, short to no hair-not sure of haircut style but he is a male wearing latex gloves on Thursday morning of December 4th in the 10 o'clock hour. The Togo area is small, can easily become congested near the entrance and guests should be directed to a proper waiting area. French Toast was great, bacon was thick and flavorful, nice fluff texture to the eggs and food was hot. The Mango Dragonfruit Refresher was less than pleasant as far as taste. The mango flavor was missing.
Stopped today for fresh coffee and bread with blueberry jam which was complementary. We enjoyed a short visit out on the outside patio. Tables were bused well. Peaceful environment
I’ve been going to La Madeleine for several years, and while all their locations provide good service, the Sugar Land location stands out. The service here is excellent, the food tastes fresher than at other locations, and I really appreciate that they still have the bread station by the fountain drinks—at other places, you have to ask for it. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.
I took my husband here for his birthday. It was our first time here. The people were very friendly and helpful. The person who took our order noticed as son as we walked in we had the wrong menu, and stepped out to help us. Then waited patiently for our order. We ordered a sausage omelette and cream chowder soup, a sweet tea and mocha coffee with extra shot of espresso. The service was excellent. I will definitely go back.
Their bakery section is absolutely amazing! They are so delightful and the cake is incredibly tender. Not too sweet either with a wonderful texture. The environment is perfect for afternoon tea or lunch or even breakfast. Great staff! It's a favorite place to frequent with my mom.
I hadn't been to the Htown area in several years, and La Madeleine definitely didn't disappoint. Excellent food, atmosphere, and customer service!

I used to live in Sugarland and frequented this location. I love the concept, breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, wine, all in one stop! I love the bread selection they give free. Staff is friendly. I love the fireplace. The only thing is the place is loud for talking. But overall it's a great meetup place. I still meet my friends here when i visit Houston. Everyone can come and go, no problem with splitting the bill, everyone pays their own. I am mostly vegan so most of the menu is not for me. I love that they still offer ceramic mugs.
I had a pleasant experience at La Madeleine in Sugar Land City Centre. There’s plenty of parking and lots of tables inside if you’re dining in. When you walk in, you’ll see a line at the register for to-go orders—so if you’re eating inside, make sure you don’t get stuck waiting in the wrong line. On this visit, I ordered the ham and cheese Danish, and it was really tasty. The pastry had a nice, flaky crust, and the ham and cheese filling was well balanced and flavorful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, as always. One helpful tip: ask for your receipt, because you can fill out a quick survey and get a free pastry. When dining in, they also provide complimentary bread with jam, along with hot water and tea, which is a nice touch. If you enjoy pastries and casual French café food, this is a great spot, and I definitely recommend stopping by.
I like the food and the ambiance. I like sitting at the patio outside, thinking I am at a brasserie in Paris. but it gets unbearable later in the day ( typical houston summer or winter). Would fare much better if fans are installed outside, preferably with misters. Waterproof the canopy so it is usable, with fans, 365 days (save July 14, we will be at the parade).
I absolutely love the La Madeleine in Sugar Land! The location is convenient, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the food is always delicious. I stopped by for breakfast this morning and ordered my all-time favorite — the Lorraine Quiche — along with a cup of coffee. I also tried their new Avocado Toast, and it was amazing! The fresh avocado, feta cheese, and balsamic drizzle were the perfect combo — so flavorful and refreshing. I really enjoy their coffee bar, where you can add cocoa and cinnamon to customize your drink just the way you like it. And the complimentary self-serve bread station is a lovely touch — the jam is delicious! This place always makes my mornings better.
Wanted to get a light snack. I came in, place an order, & go. Pastry - Apple Turnover $4.29 4/5 stars

⭐⭐⭐ We had our breakfast at la Madeleine, and overall it was a pleasant experience with a few ups and downs. The ordering system is quick and convenient, which makes things easy — but in trying to be fast, some of the quality gets lost. The coffee wasn’t very flavorful, and the hygiene of some serving areas could definitely be improved. That said, the food itself was really good, and the pastries were amazing — probably the best part of the whole experience. The decor also stands out. It feels like you’ve stepped into a cozy countryside house — with brick walls, exposed pipes, and a warm, rustic charm. I really loved the atmosphere. I’ve been to this place multiple times, sometimes for just coffee and other times for meals. It’s always busy and full of people, which shows how popular it is. The staff are friendly and always smiling, which adds to the positive vibe. For me, I wish the quality of coffee and cleanliness matched the great decor and delicious pastries. Still, it’s an acceptable experience overall, especially if you love cozy places with a good pastry selection.
WHY did you change your potato soup to chunky. Bad decision. Different flavor and consistency

Having our order taken was a pain, with the cashier messing up multiple times while entering items and still having an item wrong when we confirmed the order with a second cashier. The hot chocolate was served cold (I don’t even know how that happens, hot is literally in the name). Puff pastry on the chocolate croissant was good. Atmosphere was very nice but I wouldn’t come back given that basic things were so hard to get right.
first time ever going to a establishment of this kind, not sure what I was expecting but it did not impress me at all for the price of what we got. not sure if this was a French style restaurant or a best western breakfast, and I have had a better breakfast experience at a hotel. the food was mediocre at best. I asked for over easy and they were deep deep fried eggs. the French toast wasn't bad or great just ok. like I mentioned before not sure what I was expecting but this experience wasn't it. the employees didnt explain the menu but left it to open interpretation on how it works, you pick you order and then you pay, kinda like a cafeteria style only way I can explain it.

I used to love this location. The food is pretty good and nice for a quick lunch. This morning I had a catering order and the guy at the to-go counter was very rude. Didn’t give us any cups for the coffee tote. He told me I had to ask for them which doesn’t make sense since the box is for 8 to 10 people. I had bought a box of 6 croisant and wanted six more. When I asked for the same box as the one I already had., he cut me and told me to pay first. Very rude. He didnt give us any creamers and gave us cups with no lids. I had to ask the lady at the counter for help and she was very nice. Don’t order from them if you’re in a rush.
9:45pm and they want you out, every person, specially in the hot tea area is staring at you because you decided to get a refill for hot tea . No half and half available- had been removed. Very bad service. Restaurant is open till 10pm but you better not go there past 9:30!
I went in this morning, Thanksgiving day, and although it was busy things seemed to be moving quickly. We placed our order, got our table number and sat down. After a couple minutes someone brought over my latte and we waited for our food. After about 15 minutes I went back to the counter to inquire and was told it would be a couple minutes. Another 15 minutes and still nothing. I went back to the counter and no one seemed to have an answer. At this point it’s been 30 minutes since we paid and all I’m getting is, “they’re working on it “. I was asked if I wanted to speak with a manager, I said yes and no one ever showed up. I’m a reasonable person I under things happen but there was a complete lack of accountability for what happened. They dropped the ball and no one ever acknowledged it. Multiple people after us received their orders and they were not at all understaffed. It was completely unacceptable and I will never visit this location again.
Omg… this is such a disappointing reputation for a French restaurant called La Madeleine. I’ve ordered from them many times, and honestly I’ve rarely been happy with the quality of the food — but I kept giving them chances. Today I ordered a Croque Monsieur because I was really craving it, and it was totally disappointing. Horrible. It was basically nothing but bread. I can’t even describe it well — you would understand if you saw the picture. Please save your money. It’s just not worth it. They’re selling the restaurant name, but the food is far from a good quality
