Walked in to Laurissa at the bar with a warm welcome greeting and smile. Engaging conversation, took our order and food was delivered promptly. The queso is hands down the best and I always enjoy the grilled Baja shrimp taco. Come out and have a visit with Laurissa - she will take care of you and you get tasty food and drinks with great service!
My server Jayla was awesome. She was courteous, prompt and attentive. Jayla provided exceptional customer service, she was thoughtful and has the best attitude, I appreciate that because these days you don’t experience that often.
Great location and always wonderful service here. The food is consistently good, beer is fresh and cold and the employees are always friendly. Don’t know where I would eat when traveling to Sugar Land if this place wasn’t here. You’ll luck out if you find Laurissa at the bar, she will make sure you are taken care of. Definitely recommend!
I’ve been coming to the Sugarland location for a few years and Juan has been great! He is attentive and makes sure everyone at the bar is taken care of. He greets you when you sit down and makes sure you are taken care of. He has really good customer service skills and makes sure you feel welcomed and comfortable. The food is always good and exactly as expected. I have a Torchy’s closer to my house but make my way to the Sugarland location for the experience.
I should’ve taken a photo, but I ate it too fast! The good was delicious, fantastic service from Laurissa. A mistake was made on an order and she remedied it with Swiftness and kind service. This was my first time eating torchy’s tacos and thanks to my experience, and the flavor.. I will certainly be returning!

Update review on Jan 8th- My colleague and I were here for the Double Feature, but I wanted to dedicate this review to David. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. When he noticed our street corn had bacon in it, he immediately offered to change it without hesitation. He checked in on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed and even helped clean our table after we finished our meal. You can tell David genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in his work. Service like his is rare these days — he went above and beyond to make our experience smooth and enjoyable. I truly hope the manager sees this and recognizes his outstanding work ethic. Torchy’s is lucky to have someone like David on their team. I even asked for his schedule so we can dine in again on the days he’s working! I recently tried the Bonfire Bowl with Grilled Salmon at Torchy’s Tacos (Sugar Land location), and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. This dish was far more than just a “healthy option” — it was thoughtfully crafted, full of bold flavors, and incredibly satisfying. The grilled salmon was cooked to perfection — tender, flaky, and lightly charred for a subtle smoky flavor. It was served over a fresh base of cilantro lime rice and black beans, and topped with a vibrant mix of spinach, diced mango, pickled onions and jalapeños, pistachios, and a smooth, flavorful avocado sauce. I first had Torchy's Tacos in Gilbert, Arizona, and was super impressed. Being from Utah, I don't have Torchy's in my area. I was in Houston for a job, noticed there was a Torchy's by my hotel, and decided to go. It did not disappoint—it was just as fantastic as I remembered. I'll definitely continue to stop at Torchy's everywhere I go.

I recently started going to Torchy’s and have loved both of my experiences so far. The tacos are always full of flavor and really creative, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere makes dining in enjoyable. Bonus points, they have the good ice too! Definitely worth the visit.
I love coming here. The manager, Krystal, ensures the food and service is always amazing. I know she doesn’t wait tables, but she would be great at it. I see why she's the manager. This location is very welcoming. Thanks for being one of the best! I noticed a few negative reviews that were posted back to back today and directly targeted Krystal. Those look suspicious to me. I hope Google catches on to it.
The service here was great! They helped with any inquiries about the menu. The torched bowls is highly recommended for a more bang for your buck! There is a sports bar, plenty of table and booth seating. And a variety of choices for dietary restrictions! I loved shrimp tacos and guacamole & chips those were my favorite, but I have to mention that the fish taco was not my favorite one because was so flavorless. The service was great and the restaurant was very nice

They’re big, bold, and packed with flavor—hearty enough to satisfy any craving without compromising on creativity. And the vibe? Unmatched. Chill, lively, and welcoming—especially thanks to Nessa, who made the experience even better with top-tier service. I’ve already been back a few times this week, and yes, I’m proudly riding the Torchy’s Rewards wave. Their burritos? Monsters—in the best way. Chips and queso? Absolutely yes. Honestly, Torchys has flipped the script on what I thought tacos could be.
Amazing service and food!!! Very affordable too!! The waiters were on point and so quick. He even gave us a fresh bag of warm chips to go with our left over queso.
I work next to this location and the food is always fresh and on time. I love it and have become a regular here. Crystal and wilbert are awesome and they always check to see how im doing. Its a very welcoming clean environment and the bathrooms are also clean.
Torchy’s is my go-to spot for tacos. They always make my tacos extra special on Sundays when I order them. It’s my favorite place out of all the ones I’ve visited. I can’t say enough about this or the cheese. I’ve been to one in Dripping Springs, and the tacos were weak. I might as well go to Taco Bell. They’re just not that good, but this one, the tacos are a bit messy and sloppy. I love them that way - they put a lot of ingredients in them. I love this place. This is my number one Torchy’s tacos.
The tacos here have been adapted to cater to American tastes, but I was not let down. The ambiance and service were incredibly friendly, and the flavors of the food were excellent. What stood out to me was the combination of fried shrimp and pickled onions, which created a delightful sweet and sour taste. I'm not particularly fond of fried shrimp, but the addition of the tangy onions made the dish truly delicious. It's definitely a great place to visit.

Food was great staff wasn't friendly at all. Not a smile, not a hello, nothing. Asked for sauce and it never happened. No one at the counter so I just stood there waiting while my food sat at the table. No side of sauce option of the self serve kiosk, or maybe I couldn't find the option. But someone asked me at the table if I needed anything and then she brought food for the entire city so I finally got up and then the waiting game started on it am employee will help me. Usually all torchys are great. My only bad experience in decades

(1) before reading my review, notice that EVERY CRITICAL REVIEW receives a "scripted response" (e.g., We're sorry that your experience wasn't [Good], but we're listening and your feedback will help us improve.")! Clearly, shows Torchy's does not care as nothing changes for the better. Changes are for the profits! (2) Review: In the beginning a diverse menu at reasonable prices for street tacos in a fancy environment ($2.50-3.50). Half the items are gone and prices $5-5.90 for a street taco portion. Might as well go to Pappasitos to get a larger portion, table service, free chips and salsa, too. Alternatively, short drive to the taco trucks for authentic food, low price $2.50-3.50. Taco Nissi is my favorite!) (3) Clean? Not always. And, when they get a To Go order wrong, you get to go back and wait for them to get it right. No comp for the mistake. Nothing more than your time and your food getting cold, soggy. They take your order and then flip the POS which defaults to a nice tip. Tipping for taking an order vs providing table service. A cafeteria provides more service.
They switched bacon suppliers or something. This is not bacon, it’s a semi raw ham/bacon-type product. Several times, I’ve inspected it closely, cooked it more and can tell you it does not cook up like bacon. It does not look, feel or smell like real bacon, it’s gross. This single ingredient has ruined Torchy’s for our family. We would take the whole family 1-2 times a week. It’s frustrating.
Great tacos. Kitchen messes up orders at least 50% of the time. My wife has food allergies and more often then not they get the order wrong. Too bad as the food is good, great atmosphere, just lacks minor details like keeping their clients alive.
Ordered two tacos! While waiting, buy a gift card! Go to the restroom. Sit a while. Call my bank and listen to recent activity! FINALLY I realize how looong I’m there and ask the woman on the register with an ENTIRE mouth of rotten teeth, to the point you could lose your appetite, “Can you please check on my order. I’ve waited a long while”. This no-customer-service-having-no-surprise-there woman gets an attitude and immediately starts saying ‘Well, if you want a refund…hey, hey, she wants a refund” (calling out to a manager walking past! I’m stunned then ticked off because I never asked for a refund AND I gave every right after a prolonged period of time to ask about my order! I spoke to the manager who tried to side step the customer service issue with ‘We’re busy’! No! That’s WHY she felt so comfortable being rude with a customer who asked about there order BECAUSE IT STARTS AT THE TOP! The tone and culture is set by MANAGEMENT! She felt perfectly comfortable being rude to the degree that she told him she wanted a refund when no such thing had been brought up! Will not give Torchy’s Sugarland my money again!! And TEETH should be a requirement for employment for hen greeting the public!
