We had a wonderful first time here thanks to our delightful server, Kyle! He was incredibly prompt, personable, and made outstanding recommendations. We loved the vodka and basil pesto pasta. Excellent margherita pizza and delicious cheesecake. We will definitely be back, thanks to the fabulous food and exceptional experience that Kyle brought to our table. Thank you!!
Ok, I don’t normally give 5 star reviews; I’ve even been criticized for that. But let’s start with B.B Italia’s location in Sugarland, beautiful. If you haven’t been to this part of Sugarland it is really nice and I say that at risk of this secret getting out and it being overrun with transplants. And free parking in the garage. And then B.b Italia itself, a large open brick concept with windows that face into the afternoon sun with pleasant not too loud jazz music playing. Beautiful. Then the food. Before I even got a table, they had found me on a restaurant app and asked about food allergies to which I replied, “I don’t do well with a lot of garlic.” Not ideal, I know, when you go to an Italian restaurant. So I ordered a two course lunch salad (the chopped salad with Olives parm ans prosciutto) and Grandmas ravioli’s and honestly that was one of the best salads I ever had I about licked the plate clean. And then the raviolis came and they were really really good (and not too garlicky). They have a very unique flavor and I don’t know how to describe it but they were awesome. And the service from Kaley (a sweet red head gal) was great she had my tea topped off and never got it wrong (sweet, unsweetened, or Arnold Palmer?). And the price was pretty good too, with the lunch special at the time of this post at $22. I don’t know who created this place but they know what they’re doing I'm telling you this place is great and worth a visit
Came out for a little date night and I was so pleased with my experience here! We had bruschetta for an appetizer, Pesto Basil Pasta (which was so good!!!), 20 Layer Lasagna (the sauce tasted great and the lasagna dosent fall apart as you eat it), and for dessert we finished with a Tiramisu (which is genuinely the best Tiramisu I have ever had. It was so creamy and flavorful!!!). We also had two Red Sangria for drinks, nothing amazing, it was pretty sweet. Our total came out to about it $120 before tip. Would definitely revisit just for that Tiramisu!!!
We had such a wonderful experience at BB Italia celebrating our anniversary. I had made a reservation online. Everything was seamless. Our waitress, Kara, was an absolute delight—so kind, patient, and attentive. She went above and beyond to make our evening feel special, and her thoughtful service truly made our dinner memorable. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but it was Cara’s warmth that made the night unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back
Lovely Italian restaurant at the Sugar Land Towncenter. Food was good and service was attentive. The decor:ambience was delightful. Perhaps when the days get cooler, we can enjoy the patio. I enjoyed the chicken piccata with risotto. My guy order a large Butcher’s pizza. Needless to say we had a lot of leftovers to take home. Plenty of free parking in the garage.
This was our first time to B.B. Italia. The service was spot on. We had appetizers & they were good. Steaks cooked to perfection! The alfredo was awesome, made with real cream, that is important. The lobster bisque was great, has a sweet creamy taste! Only suggestion would be to pre slice the brussels sprouts before cooking & server them with a spicy mayo-tomato sauce. This is how Salt Grass used to serve their quail pops on their appetizer menu. Unfortunately this was removed during C-19 & never brought back. Needless to say, I don't eat there anymore. Miss that Quail with Brussels done right! Oh need to mention that the menu is priced where it needs to be. So many restaurants are over pricing their menus since C-19. Most restaurants don't understand that It's OK to lower menu prices as groceries prices fall. Thanks B.B.!
This place was wonderful! We came on a whim and did not have reservations, but we came before the dinner rush so it was easy to be seated. Although, when we were leaving, it was pretty packed so I recommend a reservations. The atmosphere was beautiful, the lighting made the restaurant look gorgeous plus the live piano music just made the perfect experience. I’ll say perfect for a date night. Our waitress was super sweet. She gave her recommendation which we took her up on and got the Arancini. Next, my boyfriend got the chicken carbonara, and I got the chicken Parmesan. The portion size is definitely huge! You’ll be taking a to go box for sure. Please try this place, perfect for date night or an anniversary, even girls night.
BB Italia delivers consistently well-executed Italian food in a bright, comfortable setting. The ambiance is relaxed, the service is polite and professional, and the menu offers solid variety without trying too hard to be trendy. Our dishes were all cooked with care and great attention to texture and flavor. Everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. The only drawback is the pricing, which runs higher than most casual Italian spots, making it more of an occasional treat than an everyday choice. Overall, a reliable, high-quality Italian restaurant with excellent consistency and an enjoyable atmosphere. 4/5
First time tonight, was pleasantly surprised. We ordered focaccia bread, carbonara, and eggplant. All were fresh and flavorful. I was disappointed with how unhappy the staff seemed. The floor manager was mostly focused on watching his staff but didn’t bother to interact with customers or greet them in any manner. Drinks were expensive, I paid $18 for the drink pictured and thankfully it was good. We’ll go back for the food, but not for the service.
Came here Saturday evening for a birthday dinner and it wasn’t packed at all. We were a group of 5 and made reservations prior to coming. This was my first time eating at the location. Usually I eat my brothers leftovers. Appetizers: The bread with 4 different sides 10/10. All the side sauces/dips were really good! Arancini, 9/10. This is really filling because of the cheese. I couldn’t even eat my entree because I was so full. Entree: Caprese 7/10. Honestly wasn’t anything I was “wow” about Vodka Pasta 10/10 according to my friend who got it. She finished the whole plate! Basil Pasta 8/10 according to my friend who got it Alfredo Pasta 10/10 according to my friend who got it. She finished the plate as well. Aglio E Olio Pasta (Chicken) 7/10. I needed to add a lot of pepper and chilli flakes. Lobster Bisque 2/10. It tasted burnt and apparently they forgot to put cream in it. Not sure how that happens, but definitely would not recommend this. The Spiced Ginger Buck tasted like ginger beer only. No liquor taste at all, so I added a shot of gin and that didn’t help. I ended up not even drinking my drink. They also make their cocktails pre made, so maybe that’s why it didn’t taste good. Not too sure. Overall, the manager was friendly and came by everyone’s table to make sure all was okay. He did take off the soup from the table and offered to remake it, but the burnt taste just made me not want to try it again. Would I come back? Hmmm. Im not sure. Definitely wouldn’t come back for the drinks, maybe just the appetizers.
B.B. Italia Bistro & Bar in Sugar Land is a delightful Italian dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. The service was exceptional – our store manager was particularly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The food is equally impressive, with a menu featuring classic Italian dishes with a modern twist. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful, and the portions are generous. Whether you're craving a hearty pasta dish, a juicy steak, or a decadent dessert, you're sure to find something to please your palate. Overall, B.B. Italia Bistro & Bar is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience in Sugar Land.
Love this place. The decor makes the dining shiny and cozy. Service is really good; they are sweet, funny and friendly. Food is good (depends on what you ordered) my caprese, beet salads, clam pasta were all good. My friend complained about her mussels a bit salty. Minestrone is watery. Chicken parmesan is good. Basil pesto is super tasty. Cheesecake is a must to try. So far we love this place and will come back to try other dishes.
Not sure what happened last night (Dinner service on a Thursday evening). The place was at 70% capacity with ample waitstaff. It took us about 45 minutes to get our mains after ordering and when it came out it was a mess. Cold bisque, overcooked steak and I’m assuming the reason was because there was only one person running tables from the pass. Manager only checked in on a select clientele while passing many others.
Service was good as per usual. But I think their food is overpriced. I ordered the basil pesto pasta with salmon, the salmon came out perfect but the pasta was cold. So i went ahead and returned it to the kitchen to see if it can be reheated. Once it came back I noticed the pasta was hot but extremely over sauced with oil. I didn’t want to cause another return to the kitchen so I ate what I could but just lost my Appetite. Plus idk if it was me or not but the pasta in the pictures seems to be the thicker pasta but it was just plain ol linguini pasta to me. It’s always a hit or miss tbh.
When we came into this restaurant, we were expecting a good, tasty Italian meal. The restaurant looked nice and classy, and it even had an amazing pianist. However, once we received the food and gave it a try, it was not what my friends and I were expecting. The pasta was watered down, lukewarm (so not fresh), and tasted funky. We tried to fix it by adding a bit more sauce, but that just made it worse. By far the best thing of the night was the Margherita pizza. It wasn’t bad and had a good crust. My only critique though was that the sauce was very acidic, especially with the added tomatoes, which left a weird aftertaste in my mouth. In the end, if I’m near the town center area and looking for a bite, I would only consider this place if there’s nothing else open and I’m starving.
The pizza tastes like it was made out of 90% CHEESE I am not even lying when I say it’s a 90% cheese to 10% bread ratio, worst worst pizza I’ve ever had EVER. BTW the dough was undercooked
