From the moment we walked in I was IMPRESSED!! The hostess was extremely nice and we were seated right away. My server Micheal was absolutely AMAZING. His recommendations were great. I literally didn't have to think about anything. He was sooo nice and professional and made our time dinner extremely enjoyable. The food was the icing on the cake the guacamole that was made tableside was absolutely delicious I had the mahi mhai tacos and they were sooo flavorful and delicious. I will DEFINITELY be back...and if you decide to come here ask for Michael you can thank me later!!!!

Alejandro was our server at Escalante’s, and he’s the reason our very first visit turned us into fans of this place. In fact, we all decided on the spot that we’d be coming back—and doing that repeatedly. This is a perfect example of how much service can elevate a business. Alejandro’s positive energy, body language, and attitude were exceptional from start to finish. He made the guacamole fresh at our table, recommended the best Mexican beer, and kept the hot chips coming without us ever having to ask. I can honestly say the guac he made was the best I’ve had in Houston. People like Alejandro make a place shine. He represents the brand beautifully, and the management should know how much value he brings. God bless him—go man, the sky is the limit. Amazing Experience at Escalante’s! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ​I cannot say enough good things about our recent visit to Escalante’s in Sugarland town center. The team didn’t skip a beat. ​Our primary waiter, Kevin, was fantastic, but what really blew us away was the seamless teamwork. His teammate Alejandra jumped in frequently to assist him, and Alec also stepped up to ensure we were taken care of the entire time. Despite the rush, they all went above and beyond to make us feel like we were the only table in the room. They truly made us feel right at home. ​As for the meal—the food was excellent and the service was absolutely impeccable. It’s rare to see a team handle pressure with such grace and hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Escalante Restaurant is super nice and has a very pleasant atmosphere. Today Alejandro took care of us, and he truly goes above and beyond with his service. He offered us queso fundido with chile, and it was good, but the best part was definitely his service. He was always kind and attentive, suggesting items from the menu and making sure we had everything we needed at the table. Next time I come back, I will definitely ask for him. As for the food, it’s always delicious.

If you are in the mood for Tex-Mex, and I know Tex-Mex I fly all over the country and some are OK some crummy, and some are outstanding. Well? Escalante is outstanding ! I promise you just get over to the restaurant and eat if you're here at a hotel or wherever it's even worth the drive from downtown Houston for this place it really is it's that good! Great service food was delivered very prompt and absolutely delicious everything from the chips and salsa queso dip the tacos I had were amazing softshell and crispy. And I had a burrito just unreal !! So if Tax messes on the brain this is a place to go

Alejandro was so sweet! We got the fajitas, table side guacamole and bacon wrapped shrimp! The steak fajita was SOOOOO good! Tender, juicy, and almost sweet flavored steak paired so well with the roasted tomatoes and grilled onions! The chicken fajita was tender and had the best lime flavor! THEN THERE WAS DESSERT. OMG. This was the best tres leches cake EVER 5 out of 5 people agreed. (The whole table lol) And personally I LOVED the flan!!! It was smooth, sweet and decadent! <3 We will be back again 😁

This is our first time and definitely not the last time at Escalante’s. Immediately entering the restaurant we were greeted with friendly host and servers. The atmosphere was welcoming and the music was not too loud so we could hear our table conversations. The appetizer sampler was a great portion and it was super fresh! Will be coming back!

Alejandro was a fantastic waiter -- consistently attentive, warm, and gave great suggestions for food. We started with the chile con queso. It was okay but needed some onions or additional flavor (main reason for 4 stars instead of 5). The spicy salsa, which we requested, was tasty. The mixed chicken/steak fajita was very good, though. We ordered a large for a party of three. The meat was tender and didn't have any grease. There were plenty of toppings. The refried beans were especially flavorful.

Me and my buddies, Brock and Griffin, went down to the restaurant on a Sunday a couple weeks back at about 12:30 pm. Parking was easily found in the parking garage behind the restaurant, and it was only a short walk to get there. Once we were inside, the restaurant wasn't very busy. It was modest in activity. We were seated quickly and we got our drinks very quickly. 3:35 seconds to be exact. The waitress we got were very kind and made us feel welcome. The chips and salsa, which we also received the moment we sat down, were decent but the salsa could have been better. I also would suggest adding a little more salt to the chips to give it extra flavor. When we ordered our food only took about 15 minutes to come out, which is very good timing for a group of 3. I ordered the Tacos al Carbon, Griffin ordered the Mahi Tacos, and Brock ordered the Tampiqueña. Here is where my issue lies. All of us agreed that the food was okay, but it was lacking in the flavor department and tasted bland especially the Taco al Carbon. For the black beans I ordered on the side, the cheese on top of the black beans were only on one spot instead of spreaded out evenly. The cheese helped give the black beans extra flavor, so it was disappointing that it was only on one portion. The steak was also bland. It wasn't very tender and flavorful. The tortilla itself tasted like regular flour. There wasn't anything there for it to taste more flavorful in the sense of sweeter or spicier or just tasty in general. However, the waiting staff were great and welcoming. The atmosphere and the building itself are beautiful and modest. I think it's just the food that deserves a little more attention. Thank you.
