Opinions de BJ's Sugar Land
We came in for lunch on Sunday and we were blown away by the service. We were seated right away. Jorge took phenomenal care of us, and the food came out super quickly. Food was excellent and portion sizes were good. Great experience!
It was so delicious and there was so much variety my server Jorge was so nice and gave me and my boyfriend very good recommendations I will definitely be coming back!
jimmy was such a great server. it was my birthday and she was very sweet in making it special.
The food was amazing, and shout out to our amazing server, Jimmy. Her service and energy were amazing.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at BJ's Restaurant and had an exceptional experience, largely thanks to my waiter, Justin. I was greeted by the host, who was very kind, and the wait was not very long at all for a Saturday night. Justin’s service was outstanding. He was prompt in taking my order and ensured that my food arrived quickly and that I had everything I needed throughout the meal. His friendly demeanor and and attentiveness made me feel like a valued guest. In addition to great food and service, the atmosphere at BJ's Restaurant was pleasant and inviting. I highly recommend visiting this BJ's location and I will definitely be back.
There is two parts to this review. The food was pretty dang good, we had 3 orders of nachos; and they were awesome. Large platter and tasted great. The issue we had was with the paper that the nachos are seperated with from the big pan. It was soggy right from the moment we got our food. As you can see in the pix, the nachos look great but that paper was disastrous. This would have been less stars due to that paper, but our waiter Steve and the manager Ben were the saving grace. Steve was a great waiter, he was always right there making sure we were taken care of, he was also very friendly. And the manager Ben, he was great and very friendly as well. I showed him the paper under the nachos and explained the issue with it being soggy and falling apart and how it we were periodically eating it since it was stuck to our food. Unfortunately there Wasn't much he could do about it since that is the way it is supposed to be served. The paper under the nachos pretty much ruined was definitely not enjoyable . There should not be any paper there. We enjoyed eat the nachos vit not that nasty paper. Although was unfortunate nothing was done about it, we really appreciated the service.
First got here and ordered a chicken parmesan. It got corrected after a minor complaint of it being overcooked. My waitress, Monica, was very nice, polite, and very understanding of my concern. She took care of it right away. Courtney, the manager, cooked my meal personally. It was amazing. I thank them for being so patient and understanding. I will definitely be dining there again.
Jimmy I think her name was, was amazing!! She was so nice and helpful with my table and helped us decide what we wanted to eat!
10/10! i came for the pazooki it was so yummy and our waitress Jymmie was super caring and attentive to us which made our experience even better.
Food and the service was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was Faith, shout out to her she was TOP-TIER!
jimmy was the best server ever. she was the bomb dot com and didn’t hesitate to be so sweet and kind to our party of 11.
Food was great baby back ribs was flavorful tender ,nice size bake potato, new orlean jambalaya was fantastic. Will go again service excellent
Great place for pizza, and tons of in house beers! Great for parties as well. Big groups are easily accommodated Update: 2/17/17 they added fried eggs on their burgers which makes for a definitely better burger. I've always loved an egg on it. Now they have it! Fried eggs are a definitive burger experience.
Outstanding service ,,, never had to ask for a refill or anything! Justin was on it!!! He suggested the 3 course meal which was perfect and excellent choice for me !
Amazing experience! Our server, Brent (the man with the epic beard) was the highlight of my little sister’s birthday dinner (other than the food, of course). He’s a kind soul, and has an amazing heart of service :)
Our waitress, Jimmy, did an AMAZING job!!! I would come back just to see her! Oh and the food was great too!! Highly recommend the Sal's Brewhouse chicken!!
Very diverse menu with great prices and deals. Staff have always been nice and efficient. Food is delicious! Give them a try for lunch and dinner. Weekends have amazing specials and the atmosphere is great for family and friends or a date night that won't break the bank😜😎
We came in to eat and our server (Julie) was very nice and kind . She suggested some plates to us and kept checking up on us . She was very good with refills and made sure we were taken care of . We will definitely be coming back and asking for her to serve us again !
Always delicious and excellent customer service! We love BJ's and everything on their menu! My husband loves the prime rib, and I enjoy all the lighter options. And don't get me started on how delicious the Pizookies are! Damien is a great server; he was so attentive. We are coming back!
It's been a couple of years since I've been back here, and I decided to go try it out again with a friend of mine yesterday. We walked inside and waited for the hostess to greet us, but there wasn't any communication from her or a welcome for that matter. The young woman who walked us to our table didn't introduce herself nor asked us to follow her; we just started walking. Almost made it feel a little socially awkward. We almost walked out of the restaurant because of how it started off until Zoey was our waitress. Made us feel welcomed and had a great conversation while she took our order. The food came out pretty fast and our drinks were always refilled constantly. Zoey honestly saved us from leaving to go somewhere else for food due to the lack of interest in the front desk. Absolutely love her service!
Delicious food and great service. They're open late, so that is convenient on busy nights. We've been here a few times and always walked away satisfied. Servers are friendly and competent. There are so many meals to choose from, and the dining area is huge that we either are sat immediately or wait just a few minutes. I love that I can earn points for free or discounted meals. Their cool app allows you to get your coupons or pay for your meal.
Jymmie did an incredible job! She was very prompt with service and exceeded all expectations!! It was our first time out of the house with the newborn baby and she was extremely accommodating. 11/10
I stopped by BJs on the way home. It happened to be during Happy hour time. We were quickly seated and my waitress was very helpful and attentive. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. We had the mini pizzas, a kids pasta with Marinara sauce and an order of the sliders. My daughter mentioned that her spaghetti and meatball had very little seasoning. However the other items were well prepared. My first drink did take 25 minutes to prepare which was disappointing due to there only being 5 people in the bar area and the restaurant wasn't crowded. The manager on duty immediately made it right. I will be returning again. :)
We really enjoy BJ’s for the service and quality. The burgers are great and they offer gluten free buns which is awesome. The wait staff is always upbeat and friendly, the service is usually very fast even at lunch. Nice beer selection that often features seasonal specials though they don’t have any gluten free beers unfortunately. Happy hour specials and seasonal discounts on gift cards. Full bar service with multiple TVs showing sorts. Handicap accessible parking and building. Changing tables in both the men’s and women’s restrooms.
Our server, Becky, was great. There was a minor mistake with the food, but she and the manager, I believe, offered above and beyond comp to remedy. The offer and attention was appreciated. Overall, great service and food was good.
I was just here last week but I just had to come back! One, for my free pizookie that I get with my rewards and two, for the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries AGAIN. I didn’t know that along with that, would come yet another great customer service experience at this same BJs! I was attended to by my server, Bevin. She was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive! She kept my drink filled and she came to check on me at the appropriate times. She made me feel like she enjoyed her job and didn’t mind being at work. Not once did I feel like I was a burden with my many requests; substitute this, paper napkins, Splenda, water, etc etc I think if the food would have been just ok, I would still come back because of the great service I’ve received the many times I’ve come here.
Our server was Jimmy and the service was amazing!! Even though she wasnt feeling well she still brought her 100% to the table and was able to joke around and deal with our requests despite us being a big table.
I recently had the pleasure of receiving assistance from Jimmy, and I must say, her customer service was exceptional. From the moment she started helping me, she was incredibly attentive and helpful. Jimmy went above and beyond to ensure that all my needs were met, and her friendly demeanor made the entire experience a pleasure. I highly recommend seeking out Jimmy if you're looking for top-notch customer service!
I really like the burgers at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse. Every time I go there, I end up ordering a burger because they’re always good and filling. The patties are juicy, cooked well, and have a lot of flavor. You can tell they’re made fresh, and they don’t taste dry or plain. I also like that there are different burger options to choose from. Whether I want something classic or something with more toppings, there’s always a good choice. The buns are soft but don’t fall apart, and the toppings always taste fresh. The fries on the side make the meal even better. Overall, BJ’s is one of my favorite spots for burgers. It’s my go-to when I’m really hungry and want something that tastes great and actually fills me up.
Natalie is the best! Not only did she take care of us, but was friendly and helpful. I get the feeling maybe she was trained at Chick-fil-A. She kept saying “my pleasure” in response to “thank you” something I also do at work even though I’ve never worked there. It was really a great meal and I do so appreciate the top level of service from Natalie.
The food was great as always and our server was a total sweet heart. Our server was Steven and he was very helpful and understanding with my great-grandmother. Overall it was a delightful experience.
I came to the restaurant on yesterday and had Jimnisha as my server and she was excellent. She helped my table navigate the menu, was very nice, an overall delight to have for our dining experience. We even came back today specially to have her. and the pizookies lol
Jimmy was absolutely amazing. She was very energetic and made my experience here even better. There was no wait when we came in with a huge table and she brought our food out extremely quick. Will be coming back when i’m in the area!!
Jimmy was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. She checked in on us just the right amount and had such a positive attitude that really made the experience enjoyable. :)
Visited on a busy Sunday evening with friends and had a fantastic time. Despite the dinner rush, we were seated immediately. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with modern decor and a casual, laid-back vibe perfect for groups. The menu variety is impressive with something for everyone. Our group tried the New Orleans Jambalaya (perfectly spiced with generous portions), Mediterranean Chicken Pita Tacos (fresh and flavorful), vegetarian deep-dish pizza (loaded with veggies), and Chicken Caesar Salad (crisp and satisfying). Every dish exceeded expectations with quality ingredients and excellent presentation. The Pizookie Trio dessert was the perfect ending - warm, gooey cookies with vanilla ice cream. The chocolate chunk, salted caramel, and cookies & cream flavors were all amazing! Service was friendly and attentive even during the rush. Prices were reasonable ($15-20 per entree). Only minor issues: music was a bit loud and they were out of Sprite. Overall, 9/10 - highly recommend for casual dinners, family meals, or anytime you want great food in a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!
What made our dinner at BJ’s the best was our server, Peyton, who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and was very sensitive, accommodating, and helpful with my food sensitivities. It was my birthday weekend and she even made sure I got a gluten free pizzookie complete with a lit candle on top. My husband and I, and our friends who joined us, will keep coming as long as BJ’s continues to employ wonderful servers like Peyton. Oh, and the food was awesome too!! Those bone in chicken wings….YES!!!
One of my go to places I love to enjoy. They have a great Happy Hour Menu for food and drinks. I ordered a small size pizza and the spinach artichoke dip. I love the deep dish pizza which had pineapple, Ham and jalepenos very good I definitely recommend. For the spinach artichoke dip Is definitely not something I would try again the chips were to salty for my liking. I went on a Tuesday so they have pazookie which is the cookie with ice cream only $5 can’t go wrong so good!
BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse deserves 5 stars! I’ve been coming here for 15 years, and their Monday half price pizza deal is unbeatable: delicious, fresh, and a total steal. The $13 daily dinner deal (Monday through Friday) with an entree and personal Pizookie is pure genius—I love that warm, gooey dessert. With ample seating and numerous TVs showing sports, it’s perfect for game days. Great vibe, solid service, and amazing value. Highly recommend!
I had a fantastic experience at BJ's largely thanks to our waiter, Syrus S. he was attentive and friendly. He had great menu recommendations and offered helpful suggestions. Our drinks were refilled promptly, and he checked on us just the right amount without being intrusive. Syrus. truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable meal.
9 days ago - the family and I had dinner at BJ's. We were staying down the street in a hotel because our house was getting some foundation work. (Total hell! Dust everywhere) Service was great! I wish I remembered our server's name. All I know is - she sounded like she was from the east coast. 😎 She was very cool and super sweet to my boys. Food was yummy!! My 7yo approved his chicken tenders, my 10yo approved his burger and fries----and I approved my pizza. The pizza was hella tasty and I would so get it again. I can't remember what my wifey got - maybe a salad...but whatever it was...there wasn't any complaints. 😂 Desserts were a hit! We got those cookie in a skillet with ice cream. We became reward members and we will definitely be coming back!
Great atmosphere especially on week nights after 8 pm when it's not as busy anymore. Great service, too, with friendly and attentive servers. The menu has many excellent choices to suit everyone's mood. We ordered the thin crust Tavern style pizza, a bowl of chili, and Pizookie (large chocolate chip cookie with ice cream).
It was first time visiting this location which had good service and plenty of parking. The shrimp scampi was delicious, buttery, had some fresh ingredients and plenty of shrimp. The Sal’s brewhouse chicken came with chicken breast, buttery lemon sauce, mushrooms, cheesy mashed potatoes, and roasted asparagus. The kids had chicken tenders which were crispy and came with fries. They also had the create your own pasta, which came with spaghetti, butter & parmesan sauce, and fruit. The kids really enjoyed the food and juice.
Perfect burger! We were on our way out of town and needed to eat dinner. We were able to get seated at the bar and were glad we did. The service was great and so was the food. The crispy jalapeño burger was amazing. They normally cool them medium well, but I asked for medium. It was cooked just right and was juicy. The ahi tuna salad skimped a little on the tuna. It may have had 2.5 or 3 oz on it, but was really tasty. The avocado egg rolls were good, too.
The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. This is our late night go to restaurant. Never disappointed with a great menu! It was very bright and more crowded than normal. We were seated quickly and our food was great as always. I try to order something different everytime we dine.
Caleb our server was absolutely welcoming and helpful. He did everything to accommodate us even helping me taste a couple of beers before making a decision. We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza which we was disappointed with as it wasn't very tasty and had BBQ sauce on a few slices. My Mrs goes to the branch in Pearland and she said it was different to the one she had at this location. However we was hungry and ate. Later when Caleb the most kindest server came over and we explained he was so apologetic even though it wasn't his fault. He only let us pay for half the pizza and for my beer on top he gave us a desert on the house. This was something that he didn't need to do but we was so humbled by his positivity and service. I would still be coming back to BJ's as it's a great spot to dine. We was just unfortunate on this occasion. Thank you for being so thoughtful. We look forward to seeing you again. On another note the pizzoki is absolutely amazing!!!! If you haven't tried it YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!
They put sugar instead of salt in our margaritas (just in case people question, they didn't ask us which one we wanted either, as I know some people prefer sugar. We didnt). It's not the end of the world, but it's still weird and bothersome. However, the rare steaks were great and juicy.
Great food and wonderful service! Jimmy was our server and she was super attentive. I love the pizzokies and this was some of the best
A fairly decent place. It has ok food and a good beer selection. The interior is equally ok, nothing special. They play the music slightly too loud. Service is mixed. Mostly it’s hard to get a Waiter’s attention. Waiters not serving your area will not ‘see’ your request for service, even if you are waiving your hands in the air like a first grader with an answer. I wouldn’t intentionally come here, it has not much going for it to be honest. But my dad likes it because it’s usually quiet and he can have a beer in peace.
I came to BJ’s, in Sugarland, TX, on a Saturday evening with two other people. When we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess and was sat almost immediately. The place gave off a cozy yet lively vibe to it, with warm lighting, brick accent walls, and an interesting layout that separated the restaurant into 3 different sections. We sat in one of the booths. It was pretty clean, with no crumbs or stains on the seat, except for the liquid stains on the wall. We got our food back in only 20 minutes after ordering. I ordered Chicken Alfredo. It was alright; it came with a generous portion of fettuccini noodles, a small portion of grilled chicken, and 4 pieces of broccoli. For $20.99, I wished it had come with a larger portion of chicken and that it was warm instead of room temperature. The alfredo sauce was kind of bland. I couldn’t taste anything other than parmesan cheese. The garlic knot that came with it was the best part of the dish. It was sweet with a hint of garlic. Na’ lyiah got the sliders with fries. She thought her food was a bit overpriced since amount of food she got was not a lot. She was also disappointed that her food was not hot. However, she did like the taste. Emari got the Fried Couscous Mac & Cheese Balls; he liked how crunchy and cheesy they were. He especially liked the sriracha cheese and sriracha aioli dip that came with it because it complimented the flavor of the cheese balls. Overall, we enjoyed our time at BJ’s. If you are looking for a casual place to dine, then BJ’s is definitely the right place for you.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere, everyone was properly space apart, so I was able to enjoy my meal without worry. The food was good. My Brussels sprouts could have been a little softer with more sauce, but the flavor was good, ! My Patrón Margarita was on point and my waitress was awesome!!! Thank you!!!
There was a little wait no problem it was only 10–15 min wait I guess the bar was a little backed up our appetizer came out first and we was done with it before our drinks came out not good in my opinion when it was just two of us. When it came to my main course I had the Philly I asked for auju sauce on the side and they gave me small little cups the waiter said the manager told him to give me the smaller size. When the waiter seen I was not happy he got me the regular size. Food I give 5 stars service 4 1/2 stars
I’ve been coming to BJ’s off and on for about a decade now. Cannot fault the food. Most of the stuff I’ve tried has been delicious and well made. They also have weekday deals that you can choose from and there’s a good variety. Dessert is always a must and a hit! They have some innovative drinks too! There’s ample seating and a lot of TV screens playing sports. But because the place is mostly busy and packed service can be a hit or miss. I’ve had some wonderful servers and then I’ve also gone an entire meal without my water even being refilled. And the front greet staff could atleast try to happy to see customers. But if you have good company and as long as they continue to serve good food…BJ’s is a solid place!
2nd visit. It's a nice sports bar restaurant with decent food and great service. I had a 6-in pepperoni and sausage pizza that was WAY overpriced--$20 for a personal pan pizza?? Yikes! 🤦🏿♀️ However, my boyfriend disagreed and LOVES their pizza!🤷🏿♀️ The servers were lovely and the atmosphere is great! We will be back!
Service was excellent. Food was not as good. The prime rib dip came with cold and crusted over white cheddar mashed potatoes and very little au jus. When our server saw, he quickly replaced them. The prime rib was very fatty and hard to chew. The mushroom Swiss burger was OK. It was as good as a frozen beef patty could be. The fries were tepid. This place used to be so much better.
The hostesses will stare at you until you speak. They will not welcome you in or even ask how many in your party. They were so unwelcoming. I was about to turn around and walk out because of the distasteful “greeting” but the manager just so happened to walk up to the front and welcomed us and gave my toddler a high five. My waitress was great. She was very attentive and personable. The food wasn’t as good as I remembered. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been. We were there Friday night and it wasn’t very busy. Our food did not take long and our drinks stayed full. We had to finish it off with a couple of pizookies. Then on the way out AGAIN the girls at the front did not say a word.
Good restaurant with a wide selection of food. Similar to Applebee's and TGI Fridays. They have daily specials and happy hour during the weekdays. Service staff is friendly but expect slow service during peak hours and during nights when games are on. They can accommodate large groups, including birthday parties
I usually enjoy BJ’s and visit another location regularly with no complaints, but this visit to a different location wasn’t the best. We had a group of seven, but only five of us were there at first when we got seated. The table felt a little cramped, but we made it work. One thing I want to highlight is the hostess she did a really great job. She greeted us kindly, made sure we were okay, and had a very welcoming attitude. That’s exactly the kind of energy that sets the tone in a restaurant a nice smile, a friendly voice, and making people feel comfortable right away. Definitely a strong point of the visit. Our server asked if more people were coming, which made sense, but after that, he only brought waters and didn’t really check on us much throughout the visit. I wouldn’t blame him I know how it can get busy duri g shifts, but I think a bit more attentiveness, energy, and a better attitude would’ve made the experience much smoother. Food-wise, everything came out great except for one steak we ordered medium-well that came out well-done. Thankfully, the managers stepped in and were incredibly helpful and kind. They made sure we were taken care of, handled the drinks, and even gave us a discount. Honestly, they were the highlight of the experience and really turned things around. Overall, I’d recommend visiting another location for better consistency in service but big thanks to the managers for doing an awesome job.
The food was a bit overpriced in my opinion. It tasted OK, but just OK for the price. I expected better.
Food was decent but service was not great. Me and my group were wrongfully charged on our bill and orders were getting put in wrong . Overpriced and under deserved . i wouldn’t recommend if you’re going with a big group or don’t want to spend an unreasonable amount . Not to mention their daily deals not being correct with the server not including them not making it an effort to change it . thank u but no thank u
Second time going into the Sugarland location. We wanted a late night snack and ordered the nachos with chicken. There were a few stale chips mixed in, slightly set cheese and sparsely sprinkled shredded chicken. For a dish so simple, there's no reason to have an EPIC FAIL. On the plus...the service was great.
I will never go the BJs Missouri City location EVER again. This is my second bad experience at the Missouri City location. I go to the Pearland location ALL the time and have NEVER had issues. I LOVE the Pearland location. We went there because my kids had an appt in Sugarland and it was closer. The waiter seemed nice at first but I guess as he seated more tables, he got really rude. I try to be very mindful of how much effort it takes for waiters to deal with so many different personalities, but after asking a few (literally 2) simple questions, it’s like we were a nuisance to him. 1) There were 4 of us but only 2 sets of utensils so I asked for 2 more and he said we need to wait because he needs to walk to the front. I had no problem because the food wasn’t there yet but why did that seem to irritate him? 2) My mom ordered the salmon and stated that she didn’t like broccoli so asked to substitute. She asked for the roasted vegetables but what came back was all broccoli and ONE piece of cauliflower. I mentioned that we asked for it to be substituted and he was very rude and said that is what she ordered, the roasted vegetables. Apparently the roasted vegetables contain mostly broccoli according to the manager, but again, what’s with the attitude? I was not rude, so why was he? I asked the manager for a different waiter, because he was rude and it was like he was throwing things at us (napkins, menu, etc) but he continued to serve us but we were at the end of our meal anyway. We opted out of dessert because my kids thought he might do something with the dessert in the back because of his attitude which is sad because they are 11 and 13. They asked if we don’t come back here. I am usually a big tipper when it comes to good service (for example $35 for a $70 mean), but I couldn’t tip for the service and how he made us feel. The food was delicious as usual but the service was horrible.
My friend and I went there and the food was good. The deep dish pizza was pretty good but the personal size pizookie was NOT cooked through. We sent the pizookie back and got another one that was also not cooked- you can tell by the texture and the way it looks and taste. The waiter was standoffish. When it was time to pay, I paid in cash and the waiter took the money and left- didnt ask if we wanted change which yes we did the change was almost 50% of our total meal cost. Had to talk to the lady upfront and the interaction with staff was ok but honestly felt kind of discriminatory. But after mentioning the change the manager said the waiter was getting it when we clearly saw him standing and doing something else while we waited. So all in all the food is pretty good. I would say get the regular pizookie cause we had three personal pizookies that were all raw and don't expect too much from the staff.... I don't know if I'll come back here though because staff interactions matter a lot.
Tried this place and I was not impressed. Down right disappointed. Look at the photos and you be the judge. Does photo 1 look like photo 2? This is not deep dish. (Pan pizza at best) Deep dish should be like a meat pie. The pizza I received was mostly bread. Best thing about my meal was the dessert. Overpriced as well.
We will not frequent this restaurant again. We have serious concerns about the cleanliness. First the table next to ours was stacked with dirty dishes when we were seated and no one stopped to clean it in the 15-20 minutes we were there. We ordered drinks which were delivered and then an appetizer which was delivered to our table. We asked for silverware & napkins because we weren’t given them when we were seated. The server took our order and we waited a bit longer for our silverware. He walked by and the look of recognition that he needed to get them was apparent on his face. No biggie…at least he finally went to the front and retrieved two napkin/silverware packs from the basket. As you can see by the picture, the silverware was not cleaned. Look, I get that occasionally some food might be stuck on a piece of silverware after it goes through the dishwasher but this fork has not been washed at all. You can even see food transferred to my finger. Ugh…really gross. We called the manager over and she stated it must not have gone through the washer a second time. I’m sorry but it never went through a first time. We told her we had serious concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen and she said she understood, she would too if she received those pieces of silverware. We left and went elsewhere.
I arrived around 1:00 PM to collect my takeout order and was met with a noticeably dismissive attitude from the staff member with pink hair. She rolled her eyes upon my arrival and responded to me with visible impatience. The interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed by the lack of courtesy and hospitality.
DON'T EAT HERE! I wish I didn't have to give it any stars. Food for two people our meal is as follows: appetizer was spicy avocado egg rolls $12. 3 egg rolls,=$4 each. no flavor, just hot avocados. Sauce was syrup. Ordered a hamburger and sweet fries. Meat was a dry burger not juicy. Fries burnt and hard. Bun was burned and hard on top. Ordered a white peach margarita. 2 Lrg peaches at the bottom of
Horrible take our service. Not paying attention to what is being ordered and having a pregnant customer wait while they redo the order all over again for 20 mins! The manager didn’t compensate in anyway either and it was just a very bad experience.
This is how they serve their cheese thin sliced pizza. No cheese, just sauce and burned. They won't deliver another pizza to us even when there is a delivery service mentioned on their website. We eat here regularly but I don't recommend taking out because this is not the first time.
Great Food, But Shockingly Poor Service at Sugar Land Location I’ve always enjoyed BJ’s and have visited many of their locations over the years. The food has consistently been amazing — and this visit was no different in that regard. However, the service we received at the Sugar Land location was so poor, I’m not sure I’d be willing to return. Our server (I believe her name was Jimmy) was extremely rude from the beginning. One person in our party tried to order the Thursday steak special, only to be told they were out — which would’ve been fine, but the way she said it was dismissive and abrupt. She also took more than 10 minutes to bring a menu back for our guest to choose something else. They wanted to ask if the salad from the special was still included, but felt uncomfortable doing so out of fear of getting another snarky response. When the rest of our meals arrived, our guest’s food was still missing, which was both disappointing and awkward. Then another person asked if a chicken dish was grilled, and the server replied, “Does it look grilled?” That comment completely caught us off guard — it was uncalled for and honestly, quite rude. Throughout our visit, she acted annoyed and completely disengaged. She dropped our plates down without a word and barely checked in on us. It felt like we were an inconvenience the entire time. Despite the poor experience, we still tipped — though not as generously as we typically would, because quite frankly, the service didn’t warrant it. To make things worse, we found a hair in one of the dishes. When we politely brought it to her attention, she appeared irritated and reluctant to take it back. The person who received the dish kept thanking her, trying to ease the tension, but it was clear the server was simply "over it." The salad that was brought back seemed noticeably smaller than the original portion. Then, before we had even finished getting up from the table, she swooped in to grab the check. It felt rushed and made us question whether she was unhappy with the tip we left. We always tip well, but this time, it simply didn’t feel earned. I sincerely hope management checks to ensure the tip amount isn’t changed after the fact. Meanwhile, we watched as the table right next to us received excellent service from the same server — drink refills, friendly conversation, regular check-ins. We, on the other hand, were left with our original drinks and rarely saw her for the rest of the meal. Yes, it was after 9 PM, and maybe she was ready to end her shift — but that does not excuse the lack of professionalism or the poor attitude. We were respectful and kind throughout, and did nothing to deserve the way we were treated. BJ’s food continues to impress, and I will likely visit other locations. But as much as I love the menu, I won’t be returning to the Sugar Land location. Being treated like a burden when we were nothing but kind was deeply disappointing.
So I come here today around like 1:30 and our experience with our waitress wasn’t the best. We ordered barely anything and he was already giving us attitude for no reason the entire time. When we ordered the jumbo pizookie he rolled his eyes at us and was making it so obvious he was annoyed although we didn’t do anything. My friends got me a birthday pizookie as a suprise and not only did he bring it out when my friends went to the bathroom and I was alone he also sprinted right next to me dropping it super fast and said a quick happy birthday and left he didn’t even stop. Then he brought the bill and it was like 68 dollars or something I don’t remember and we politely asked him if he can split it with 4 people he rolled his eyes at us again. Then he brings back the receipts and one is a bill for like $7 $22 and $30 and $17?? So then we went up to the front and said can we please have it split evenly and he said “yeah that’s fine” rolls his eyes and puts his hands on his head like he’s frustrated or something like we expected basic respect. Then he brings out the check and I only had Apple Pay so I said I can’t pay with card which I KNOW bj’s takes Apple Pay because we have payed with Apple Pay before and he said “nope that’s not gonna work I need 4 cards y’all can Zelle each other of figure it put yourself” this is was honestly so annoying. His name was Justin.
The staff was barely present. The food was honestly bad. We went for dinner got cheese balls and it was so bad. The mojito had no alcohol. The ribeye was pretty bad and I like ribeye typically. The server was kind though! This was with required tip for 6 people even though service wasn’t good.
I should’ve went to ANYWHERE!!! My honest review overall was rated was 2 out of 10 service, 10 being the best 🤦🏾♀️. Service was so unprofessional I didn’t know if I was here to be relaxed about having our server or to expect the worst of what’s coming out of the kitchen. Server was unavailable for most the time there, too busy watch the game than doing his job. Food was a 4 out of 10 ordered the brew house sampler, wings were undercooked and the food was warm not hot… how you spend more than $70 and your food is not up to standard or not hot..HOT FOOD SHOULD BE A STANDARD PERIOD , what a waste!….drinks were watered down. I ordered the patron grand and Long Island. Eat here at your own risk service and food was not good. Not sure if the server is to be leaning on the chairs while taking orders to. So unprofessional smh . I come to a restaurant to get away from the madness and this is how we were treated. Will not be returning. Management should have a long talk with servers to always ensure good service . We also waited 30 + minutes until our food came out and it still was warm, not cool… the guy with the locs and hat at night is not a good server… this is why I choose to eat at home…for the price that is charged I would expect the food to be up to par as well as service… I was greeted by the ladies and server but after that everything fell short smh.. I felt robbed of a good service to be enjoyed with family at the end of my meal. Let’s end the bad stigmas of eating out and treat customers with an absolute wholesome attitude and experience of fine dining, no matter the budget and who enters.
Ended up being here for 2 hours (not intentionally). Sat for 40 minutes before the manager realized we were waiting and took our order. Still never saw our waitress after. Got a cold pizza that may have been a leftover from someone else's order. My kid learned to ride a bike on the day we went and I was hoping to celebrate it with her first pizookie but we were there so long she fell asleep waiting (at 7.30pm). We ended up just cancelling dessert and leaving. I really wish we had gotten take out or went somewhere else; we live in the area and this was probably the worst experience we've had eating out in a long time.
Came here after a while and was utterly disappointed. Appetizer came pretty quick but no silverware or plates. Called the server to bring us the plates and silverware and she came out with wet plates stating they just came out of the dishwasher. Main course took almost 25 mins and the food literally seemed microwaved. Not once did the server came in to check if everything was ok or if we needed a refill on the drinks. If I had to sum it all up it seems like they have given up on this location. There were hardly few tables occupied.
This place sucks. Hair in our pizza after a hour wait and our waitress didn't even apologize or offer to have another one made. Bad customer service and bad wait times from beginning to the endo. The manager on duty did assist my daughter into having some goldfish crackers as we waited for her food. We did ask for her mini corn dogs to come out first and they came LAST!! Again, thats the waitress fault.
Very upsetting experience. Came here very hungry and left very hungry and nauseous. I ordered a deep dish nacho with the sirloin bits and when it arrived it arrived with cold cheese and soggy nachos. It has clearly been sitting there for a few minutes. The meat tasted sweet, too sweet, and the tomatoes, sour cream and guacamole tasted very funky, sort of like when something is about to go bad. And the guacamole had huge chunks of oxidation, it has definitely been sitting there for a while. After this appetizer we were brought our steaks. My wife got a medium sirloin steak and I got their Sunday promo medium rare prime rib. The sirloin steak arrived well done and dry. Any juice came from the greasy sear of the steak. The prime rib arrived cold, and also dry, there were no juices whatsoever. It tasted like fridge ham slices and had absolutely no sauce or seasoning. The pigmentation was red, like when you have a piece of rare steak sitting out for a while. Everything was disgusting and made me stop eating it. We decided to just skip to the dessert which tasted good. This is the second time we come here, the first time we got nachos and boneless wings, the boneless were cold and the nachos were good that time, although also had a funky taste with their veggies. It was a very disappointing experience because I came here hungry and wanted to enjoy even a just “okay” meal. Everything was cold, dry, and spoiled. I’ll just stay going to Saltgrass
Deep dish pizza comes with no toppings and hardly any cheese 2025. It wasn’t like that back in the day… i will definitely never be back. Absolutely horrible unless you enjoy just dough. Also water never will be refilled. Server Tracy C has a lot of attitude and bangs plates down on table. No service, silverware for 3/4. No water refills. If you ask where your food is, you get rude responses. I m absolutely shocked my experience after coming here previously for years and having very decent experiences.
