Opinions de Corazon Mexican Food Sunnyvale
Corazon is the best!! My friends and I have been coming here every Friday for many months and the food is always super delicious and freshly made. The service is amazing and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. Everything is well priced too. My friends and I love this place so much and we always look forward to Fridays because of it! My favorite item on the menu is the enchiladas rojas with carne asada or the super burrito with chicken. 11/10 recommend!!!!
love love love!! fantastic environment and staff, food is always so good. asada street style tacos, cheese enchiladas and chips & guac are always a reliable choice and all the dessert menu is amazing!! interior is great too, fun place to chat with friends. definitely recommend one of my go-to restaurants 🫰
This place is actually my favorite restaurant in sunnyvale! i love their enchiladas(both rojas and mole) and i get them every Friday with friends. all i can think about in class is my enchilada order. the service is amazing too and they are very friendly; it really feels like a community. if you want some bomb food with some great people this is THE place!
Had a chile relleno craving, this was yummy. Ordered chile relleno and chile en nogada, both were awesome. The sauces were great with them. Two tacos with shrimp were nice as well as the churros. Next time we will try other meats and their specialties. Service was nice and efficient. Flan is tasty with coconut flakes on top.
Corazon is a small Mexican joint with a lot of heart. I came here for the chicken mole, and it blew me away. The sauce was rich and balanced: sweet without being too sugary, spicy without overpowering the other flavors. You could really taste the hours of simmering in every bite. The tortillas on the side were fresh, warm, and perfect for soaking up every last bit of mole. The space itself is cozy but full of life. A handful of mismatched tables line the colorful walls, the music is upbeat but never too loud, and the sizzling from the kitchen adds its own rhythm to the atmosphere. It honestly felt more like a family gathering than a restaurant. The staff made the whole experience even better. They were friendly, quick with refills, and shared stories that made me feel welcome right away. You can tell they truly care about the people who walk through the door. OVERALL, if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food with a cozy vibe, warm service, and dishes made with love, Corazon is a must-visit.
I had to come 2 night in a row. We had the cochnita pibil & tacos on the first night, then tried the enchiladas suisas & had to have more shrimp tacos.... 🔥 I ❤️ the habanero salsa that is also 🔥 I am very happy to have them so close to home & open so late on the weekends. Until midnight.... 😁👏 They are allowed to sell 🍻 in case you were wondering...
Came here because of the high review rating. Will come again. Best Mexican food in Sunnyvale/Santa Clara. Have a good menu, decent prices, and the food is made with care. Here are the specifics : Main Dishes: We have been here three times now. The meat is one of the reasons we come back. The steak is charred and well cooked. The chicken is cooked just right so that it isn’t dry and absorbs the flavor from the surrounding spices. If coming here for the first time, try the enchiladas de mole. It’s a cacao based sauce that’s both spicy and flavorful. If enchiladas aren’t your thing, the burritos are excellent. The rice is fluffy, meat is flavorful, and you don’t leave feeling sleepy because the grease is kept to a minimum. 10/10 here. Area: The area is a quiet part of Sunnyvale. Even during covid, we could sit outside and no noise. Ample parking and space to stretch out. The staff: Everyone we’ve met here is nice. The cooks clearly know what they’re doing because the food is well prepared and tastes homemade, except way better. Redwood City used to be my favorite spot for Mexican food but now it’s here. Overall: If you’re looking for a good place to eat, try this place out. The biggest points here come from the dishes and the quiet neighborhood. Will come here again and again until I’m too large and have to start dieting again. 10/10
Great authentic Mexican restaurant on the edge of Sunnyvale/Los Altos. Had the Carne Asada platter that had tender beef, my son had the Carnitas platter with perfectly fried pork. Will definitely come back when in the area
Great ambiance and good food! Their orange and red salsas were amazing!!!! We tried mole and wet burritos they were yummm...

Oxacan and Mayan food, which I liked a lot. Chicken and Oxacan beef were really nice. They also have a Mole dish over chicken which I wish I'd try next time. Plates are big and will make the dishes look small, but we were stuffed. The atmosphere is cozy, but very basic. 2nd review. I came back again after a while, and this place is very under rated. Ordered gourmet wet chicken burrito with black beans and Mole Sauce (chocolate sauce). It was fantastic. Not sure why the place was so quiet., but the food and service was amazing.
I stopped in at Corazon for a bite to go. After perusing the menu of a variety of Mexican dishes, I settled on a carnitas burrito. It was fantastic. Everything was done to perfection. The green salsa was a nice mild addition. It went well with chips as well. Paula was on the register and she was a delight. She was full of smiles and had great customer service. I would recommend stopping at Corazon Mexican Food for a great meal.

Very pretty, fun Mexican gem with delicious food and kind service. The taco salad was NOT your average pile of lettuce; it had variety and flavor. My son LOVED the enchilada and his friend plantains. The Horchata is to die for!!!!!
This place is great! The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is most excellent: we’ve tried most of the menu and enjoyed it all. Give it a try, you’ll be happy you did.
We ordered dinner from here for the first time and it did not disappoint. Had the enchiladas, a quesadilla and a taco plate. All were excellent and ready quickly. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice interior. It was empty on Saturday evening. We ordered takeout food. The tacos and nachos were not that good. Super nachos were not that loaded. We asked for shredded chicken but they gave us chunk of chicken.
This place is quaint. I ordered the tortilla soup and chips and guacamole Unfortunately, the soup taste like water down Menudo broth. It had very little substance to it or flavor The chips and guac were good And they forgot to give me my Coke that I ordered
First, I must say that we chose Corazon as our Friday night treat. My daughter wanted Mexican food. I wanted to go to one of our favorite spots (LA Fiesta in Mountain View or LA Milpa in Milpitas), but we decided to try something new. We did a Google Maps search with 4 stars and ran across Corazon. Corazon had good pictures of their meals. The pricing was very reasonable. We picked up the food and took it home... we were starving. LOL For me, I like Chile Relleno, their website said only "2" left, so I got one. I was a bit disappointed, the Relleno was not spicy at all, there were several seeds that I bit on. The egg whipped crust was good. The beans were not refried completely. The rice appeared good at first, and then I realized it was a bit dry but had some flavor. The major disappointment is that my daughter got the combination plate (two carnitas enchiladas). She complained that the enchiladas were cold, flavorless, dry, and chunky. I looked at her plate (see photos). I felt really bad because she lost her appetite afterward.
A little neighborhood Mexican restaurant featuring a few specialties dishes from Yacatan and Central Mexico such as Cochinita Pibil and Pork Pipian. We tried their pork pipian street taco and it was tasty. The chicken enchiladas de mole was good as well but a bit overpriced. It’s a place good for takeout.
I love their beautiful decoration It's look really clean to eat and they are so kind. They arrive late to open, for example the sign say open afternoon from 3:30pm and they open from 7 to 10 minutes later. The tacos are so good I really recommend the tacos, but I don't know what happened because the flavors in some dishes changed, now the flavors are not fabulous like in the beginning, and I don't recommend the churros this in specific needs to stay soft to bite, my child did not eat because this was turn in a rock after 2 minutes, when this was not hot to bite. This happen when you reheat in the microwave and not in the oven. I'm so sad for that because this is the closest Mexican restaurant for me. And I hope they improve their recipes because they're one of my favorites.

The food was really disappointing. The taco salad was mostly just a pile of spring mix and lettuce with barely any other ingredients. It felt more like a side salad than an actual meal. The overall quality and taste were underwhelming. On top of that, the restaurant was way too dark inside, making it hard to enjoy the dining experience, even though the interior design itself was nice. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Ordered a takeout chicken super burrito. Only the very end had any chicken at all and as far as I could tell there was no sour cream and maybe a teaspoon of guacamole in the whole thing. Most of it was just rice like the picture. Flavor on the few pieces of grilled chicken was good but this wasn’t even a burrito let alone a super burrito.
Had the chicken Oaxaca plate. Chicken was dry and lukewarm with some hot spots. Spiciness was excellent. Consistent with old chicken heated unevenly for a few minutes. Rice was also lukewarm, dry, with a few hard grains. Beans and salsa were average. Probably microwaving with a wet paper towel would better serve them. Will not return.
