Absolutely loved the Dahi Papri Chaat and Panipuri! Everything was fresh, crispy, and bursting with flavour. A perfect street-food experience!
Wow!! Great northern Indian “soul” food. Each dish made me feel so good… savory, comfort food for sure. Started with the Kadhi Kachori - delicious and probably our favorite. Complemented by Veg and Paneer Paranthas.. too good to only have one - Aloo Tikki Chaat with garbanzo beans. A Mango Lassi and a Masala Tea for refreshment.
The chef is really friendly. Their kadhi kachori, paratha and chat options are all amazing.
Parathas at this place are fantastic. Thin, fried in ghee, perfectly khasta covering with great filling. Ask for the filling extra chatpata (tangy and spicy) and you won’t be disappointed. Gobhi was my favorite, aloo pyaaz came second. As with any paratha, you need to eat it hot and right there, they don’t do well parceled up. There’s a small amount of seating space, so try coming here at non rush hours to enjoy your meal. The tea was very good too!
The food truck has been there for a while and thought of trying this time. The menu is vast variety of things from chaat to full meals. We ordered Paani Puri and Chole bhature. Both of them were extremely good. Have to say I prefer the style they have for Paani Puri and have not gotten swayed by the trend of different type of waters. Chole bhature were amazing as well. The chole were well done and bhature weren’t too oily and didn’t taste like puri. Highly recommend both these. Will try other items as well in future visits
Very welcoming owner who paid special attention to us and even surprised us with a dish! Really loved their Chhole Bhature, Kadhi Kachori and Tikki chaat. Portion size is good. Nice seating for family and friends.
Really enjoyed the chole bhature here. Simple, tasty, and super satisfying. Would definitely get it again.
Rajan Bhaiya is a gentleman. That's how you know this review is legit because I know him by first name. Ever since I set foot in the Chatpata India food truck, I knew there was something special going on. I had the kadi pakoda which is one of his specials but also every single chaat item is worth trying out. Especially if it is a cold night I would recommend the chai irrespective of what time it was because it tastes so fulfilling. You can't go wrong with the Chola Batura, Kulcha and the Pakoda. Wash it down with the chai and take the samosa home because you'll want to snack on it just seeing it in the night. Highly recommended for a North Indian dose of life.
Ordered the Khadi Kachori and Bhel Puri — both tasted absolutely amazing! To top it off, they served masala chai for free — such a thoughtful touch. One of the best chaat spots in town for sure. Flavor, price, and service — all on point! 👌 Must try!
Cant praise the food enough! Dahi shev puri was crispy and filled with delicious chutneys. Kadi kachori is really tasty- tried for the first time. Chhole in Aalu tikki chaat was amazing. Aalu pyaaz paratha was nicely stuffed and thin topped with butter. Paneer pakoda had thin and soft paneer. Indori shaahi shikanji is unbeatable- filled with dry fruits and great taste, not too sweet. Place was clean. You can order at kiosk. Shaded seating area. Highly recommend!
Had a wonderful meal at Chatpata. It's a food truck with seating right across the street from Fremont High School. We ordered the aloo tikki chaat, kadi kachori, and the chana bhatura. Every dish was executed flawlessly, make sure to order them spicy for that extra flavor. We chatted with some nice ladies who recommended that we get the pani puri next time with extra hot sauce. Can't wait to try this again.
Fantastic food. Great place for vegetarians..the spicy paneer paratha is amazing, the thali is worth the price .. lots of food options in the menu.. The shikanji is also something worth while to try. The owner is very hospitable and great service.
We went in for dinner and head a great experience. We ordered kadhi kachori (first time ever trying this dish), gobhi paratha, Chana bhature and chai. Everything was very good including the hospitality of Rajan ji who stopped by and chatted with us. Kadhi kachori was flavorful and spicy, Chana tasted so good and different and we got got two bhatures, chai was laung (clove) heavy which was welcome on a cold evening and Gobhi paratha came with a dollop of butter and raita. A great experience overall and we’ll be sure to return
Mr.Rajan ji is so hospitable and very hardworking. 10/10 for his positive attitude.☺️Such a nice vegetarian food truck. We recently visited this place.Loved their khadi kachori . It was very warm and fresh. Aloo Parata was excellent. Their Bhel puri, poori and channa masala was also very tasty. Highly recommend this place for vegetarians. Will definitely visit again.

Highly recommend this place. Kadhi kachori is really good , flavourful with that few coriander seed bites and is a must try. Better to have it then and there garam garam !! Paneer paratha is also a top favourite of ours. Recently had aloo tikki which also was tasty. Uncle ji and his staff are really nice and hospitable.
When I visited, I thought it would be like any other chaat truck. Surprisingly, food was really very tasty! Loved their kadhi kachori! We also tried their dahi sev puri which was good too. But kadhi kachori was the star! Hope they retain the quality and their warm customer service.
I tried aloo tikki chaat for the first time in US and it was an absolute delicious like I used to have in India! I loved the combination of crispy tikki with sweet and tangy flavored red chutney. Next time, I will request more red chutney as it was so tasty and added a lot of flavor to the dish.

Chatpata India delivers authentic, flavorful Indian food with generous portions. The spices are well-balanced, service is friendly, and prices are reasonable. A solid spot for satisfying your Indian food cravings—definitely recommend!
Really nice parathas and we were desperate for it, and we’re tough graders! Aloo and Paneer were really nice. We found the Kadhi Kachori unique. The people serving were really kind and sweet. Checked up on us, made it customised. Definitely recommend
I tried their Kadhi-Kachori and the Ghar Ki Thali, and both were absolutely amazing! The flavors were rich and homely — just like a comforting meal from back home. The chapati was soft, hot, and perfectly made, adding that extra touch of freshness to the whole experience. You can truly taste the fresh ingredients and the love that goes into the food. Every bite felt wholesome and satisfying. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving authentic, homemade-style Indian food. Definitely going back soon!
I recently tried the ghar ki thali from Chatpata India and overall had a pleasant experience. The presentation was homey and inviting — the dal makhni came in a generous portion, beautifully creamy and rich. The spice level was just right: mildly indulgent without being overwhelming. The rice was fluffy, well-cooked and complemented the dal nicely. The star of the meal was the malai kofta — soft, well-shaped koftas in a subtly sweet and creamy gravy; it felt luxurious and comfort-food worthy.

Good food truck with very good person managing it. We were welcomed with tea on the house on a cold winter evening which was a kind gesture. Our friend took us and this was our first time. We ordered Kadhi Kachori, chole batoore, chaat, dal kachori. Everything was good and kadhi kachori was really good (but bit expensive too). Recommended. Wud go again and try other stuff too.
This food truck serves delicious North Indian cuisine. I tried the combo, which included chapati, dal makhani, a sweet treat, and dahi – all of which were rich in flavor and very satisfying. Their onion aloo paratha was piping hot and incredibly tasty. The service is quick, and there are a few tables set up outside for dining. Definitely recommend giving this place a try!
Amazing food. Paneer and aaloo parathas are worth trying! Felt good after tasting chai with sweet in it already. No need add sugar separately 😂. Do visit this place.
While driving around Sunnyvale, Chatpata India Food Truck caught my eye with its vibrant graphics. We couldn't resist giving it a try. Service & Hospitality: What stood out to us was the warm and friendly staff. They eagerly discussed the menu and ingredients and made recommendations. The person who seemed to manage the truck embodied the spirit of Indian hospitality, saying, "Try this. Try that. Don't worry, pay me only if you really like the food." If possible, I'd give them a 6/5 for the hospitality! Food: The food, however, was a bit hit-and-miss. We ordered four dishes among us, and here's how I would rate them: Dahi Sev Puri - 2/5: The yogurt was so very cold and sour, causing an uncomfortable sensation in my teeth. Kadhi Kachori - 4/5: My first time trying this dish, it tasted good, but I lack a benchmark for comparison. Extra point for novelty. Paneer Paratha - 4/5: Flaky outside, warm inside, flavorful, and comforting - "makhan maarke!" Chana Puri - 2/5: Watered-down gravy with an overwhelming garam masala taste, while the chana was bland. The manager kindly gave my son a complimentary small Mango Lassi after he accidentally chewed a chili. Although we appreciated the gesture, the yogurt in the lassi was too tangy for our liking. Value: Prices are reasonable, though slightly higher than similar food trucks. Overall, I'm excited to return to Chatpata India to explore more dishes and experience their warmth and hospitality.

Food was below average. One customer took around 10 minutes to add the order and other customers kept waiting. Then after ordering, I kept waiting for my order to arrive. My order arrived in 25 minutes They didn’t bother to ask for here or to-go. So unorganized and service is below average. I saw they were using milk gallons plastic containers for water. Probably for using it in food and serve water when you ask for it. Looks unhygienic and unhealthy to me. For atmosphere, I discuss find any reason to say about this. I feel like wasted my money and time at the same time.

Pretty okay chaat food truck with a decent amount of options. Ordered bhel puri and aloo tikki chat for takeout. Both tasted a lot sour. I expect a bit more ingredients in bhel for flavor. Aloo tikki was soggy and felt that the black channa was a bit old. They have made some nice arrangements to dine in. Plenty of parking available onsite.

Pretty bad food preparation. Would recommend avoiding it. The pani puri was made out something does not taste at all like the puri’s you get in India. The potato filling tasted like potato curry. The pani just seemed like store bought coriander chutney mixed with water. The papdi chaat looked better so we had high hopes - but turned out to be horrible as well. The papdis were all stale.

I just can't reconcile paying $30 with the amount and quality of the take out food I received here. My experience with food trucks doesn't align with what this place provides. Bland food, which is quite a feat to achieve for Indian food. Mango Lassi $4.99 Paneer Paratha $8.99 Samosa Chaat with Chana $9.99 Sub Total $23.97 Tip $3.00 Tax & Fees $2.91 Total $29.88
We went here after looking at the good ratings but unfortunately our experience was exactly the opposite. We ordered onion parantha and pav bhaji and both were bad is taste and quality. The parantha didn’t have any spice whatsoever and the bhaji was indeed sweet. We had told them to make both spicy. Irrespective of the spice levels, the flavors were not good. The pav were not of good quality neither was the butter they used. Won’t waste my money here again.
Food was so bland!! We don't expect pani puri and kadi Kachori to be that bland. Only samosa chat was decent. Service was okayish like any other food truck. They have some chairs to sit but nothing great.
They dont know what dal makhni is. Wrong dal, bland food. Not recommended!!! Find a youtube video and learn whats dal makhni.
