The place is pretty chill, and the drinks are very very good, there's also some food, but haven't tried it yet. Really recommended
This place has a decent variety, great flavors, and quick service! The prices are decent for milk tea, too.
Excellent drinks and in my case I can't get very sweet I ordered "cero sugar" and it was still a good flavor.
A very clean, bright store with a number of options for tea. I got a Thai tea with pearls and it had just the right amount of sweetness and the taste was perfect. Definitely a place I plan to frequent.
Brown Sugar Lechata (less sweet) is like dessert in a cup — very flavorful and sweet. They were giving samples of the new mochi nuggets; of the three flavors (original, mango, cheese) mango was my favorite paired with the Lechata drink. The Panda Milk Tea is also good: I really like the white pearls (made with konjac); has a different texture from the regular black pearls. Service was friendly and efficient. There was a line to the door but we didn't wait too long for our drinks.
This Is the best Gong Cha location that we have been to. The place is very clean and spacious, as well as full of friendly employees. The drinks are delicious and comes out quickly even with customization. What more can one ask for.
Store was decorated differently but looks good. Got the new mint chocolate milk tea and my daughter got the mint chocolate smoothie both were delicious.
A classic tea/boba place where if you want something simple but new. For me personally, I got the London Fog tea (Earl Grey with Brown Sugar) and just like the name, taste amazing. Give it a go!
The Gong Cha on Hollenbeck Rd. in Sunnyvale is the best of the bunch, and I would even go so far as to say that it is the best boba tea place in all of the Bay Area. The pearls are crafted with love, the tea is SUPER fresh and refreshing, and the staff is incredibly friendly, fun, and efficient. A little on the pricey side but definitely worth it!
Gong cha has some pretty good tea and a great environment to hang out with friends or organize a project. Great place to play cards and would recommend if you haven't gone already.
One of the best, so many delicious flavors and fun toppings to choose from. My kids ask to come here every day and it's hard to say no. Also a great rewards system.
My favorite tea place. It's very cute. The tea is really good. Doesn't serve food but much better than tea era that's down the street.
Gong Cha is hands down my favorite place to get boba tea in the Bay Area. The drinks are always consistently good, with the perfect balance of tea flavor and sweetness. Their pearls are soft, chewy, and always fresh. I love how customizable everything is – you can adjust sweetness, ice levels, and even toppings. The staff is friendly and quick, and the store is always clean. If you’re a boba lover, Gong Cha is a must-try!
We first visited Gong Cha while we were on vacation in Vancouver, Canada. The girls spotted this Cupertino location. We each got a drink. They have great choices. We will definitely be going back soon.
One of the best boba tea spots around! The staff is incredibly helpful, especially for beginners, and the place perfectly captures the trendy Bandra vibe.
It was delicious boba and we even got a cute free keychain. My daughter was loving it.
Excellent classic and brown sugar milk tea! Sugar level is good at 50% and 25%. The store is clean and roomy. The artwork on the wall is too cute!
Quality clean Taro Milk Tea. Best I've tasted so far. Quite refreshing actually as most Taro Milk Teas out there are overwhelmingly heavy or powdery.
"Five Star Review for Gong Cha, Sunnyvale, California I recently visited Gong Cha in Sunnyvale, California, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The boba here is fresh and has the perfect chewiness, striking just the right balance between firmness and softness. Each sip brings a pleasant texture that's simply irresistible. Moreover, the tea itself is a standout. It's fresh and aromatic, leaving a lingering fragrance that enhances the overall taste. This quality of tea makes every drink special and sets Gong Cha apart from other boba places. What adds to the charm of this location is the ambiance. The store is warm and welcoming, creating a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. Whether you're popping in for a quick drink or meeting up with friends, the environment is just perfect. Overall, my experience at Gong Cha in Sunnyvale was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful boba, exceptional tea, and a comforting atmosphere - it's everything you'd want in a boba shop. Definitely deserving of a five-star rating!"

Overview: There are many Gong Cha locations, but this one is by far my favorite. Since I do come here fairly often (2-5 times a week usually), the staff are very welcoming. I tend to order the same drink and the workers have now recognized me by name and drink, which I really appreciate. As a college student, I also do spend a lot of my time here studying. Their wifi is on-point and it's usually not too hard to find a table next to an outlet. Drinks: since I've come to this location so many times, I've tried more than a handful of drinks. My go-to favorite is their Brown Sugar Milk Tea. It's almost the same as a regular milk tea, but slightly sweeter in my opinion. Staff: I love the staff here. Fran is a sweetheart and will always engage in a conversation with you. She'll remember all the little details and does amazing at running the shop. Most of the other staff are younger, but very down to earth and welcoming. If you ever have a boba craving, I'd suggest you come here (even if its out of your way)!
The strawberry black tea with pearls and strawberry milk tea are really good. Both on the sweet side even at 30% which is the least amount other than unsweetened. Fast service and friendly staff with a pretty large menu and lots of variety. Order online to avoid the longer lines in the afternoon
I’m a big fan of boba tea, and gong cha is one of my favorite places to get it. The tea is always fresh and flavorful, and the boba is cooked to perfection. I’ve tried a lot of different drinks at gong cha, but my favorites are the oolong milk tea and the earl grey milk tea with 3J. The oolong milk tea is rich and creamy, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The earl grey milk tea with 3J is a more subtle flavor, buts it’s delicious. I also appreciate that gong cha, brews their teas fresh every 4 hours! The staff at gong cha are also friendly and helpful. They’re always happy to answer questions and make recommendations!!
Wow! The drinks are amazing and it smells nice! They call your number when they are ready for you to pick up your drink. There is a bench that you can wait on and a washroom. It is a bit dirty but I do not care! I already love Gong Cha!!!
We loved everything we got here. The flavors in the milk tea were superb. The mango popping boba was perfect.

Very small, clean, seemingly healthy version of bubble drink with frozen fruit, matcha tea bubble drink, and many more choices of concoctions and toppings. Kid themed wall painting surely attracts many children craving for a drink before they go to the after school class next door.
Good beverage sizes for the price and a good amount of different teas and mixins. Probably one of the better deals in the area for bubble tea.
Yummy! My kids introduced me to this sweet n very wonderful tasting lil shop. Sit n relaxed with the kids or a good friend its lovely. I am a Diabetic in the fact that I can control the sugar the add is such a plus!! My blood sugar levels remained normal n the Milk Foam was sooo good! The Tapioca n all the fun n yummy extras oh ya baby.... P.S. a lil pricey but what isn't in the bay area now a days. But still $5.+ for a drink is crazy to an old school mom like me! I still think a $1.00 for a drink is to much! But like I said Yummy! Try em its worth it!
I like the drinks in general. Compared to other bubble tea shops, gong cha drinks tend to be a bit too sweet. I usually go for 30 or 50% sweetness.
The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The freah milk tea is ok, but not as good as Tea Top or Tea Era in my opinion. If it's what was available in the area, I'd go there again.
Yummy bubble tea. You could get some reward point if you join their reward system. The kiosk in the store suggests you to do it. Friendly staff. They have place to sit and enjoy your drink inside the store as well.
Taro tea was ok, forgot to add boba in my friend's drink.

Gong Cha has a nice variety of boba drinks and always has a good selection of seasonal drinks that I am eager to try whenever I visit. I love their brown sugar London fog latte. The brown sugar flavor goes so well with the earl grey tea and fresh milk. I'm only removing 1 star because the tea quality isn't quite as good as other boba places that I'd give 5 stars to, but it's still quite good.
Long wait times and crowded during peak hours. Great variety of drinks. Only 2 choices of food (plain or variant of mochi waffle [pretty good btw]. Good service, no min order fee for cards. Had benches to sit in and claw machines while you wait. Had a restroom. Better/higher quality tea than tea era (another established across the intersection), but much smaller variety of food (as mentioned before).

Got a pearl milk tea but it didn’t have boba :(
just got a matcha milk tea earlier today... i guess they premake a liquid mix? my green tea was a brownish gray/green... id rather have drank a unmixed matcha powder drink than old green tea mix that tasted grainy and like tea leaves.
I was the only person in the store and they took sooooooo long to make that one Thai iced tea like literally bro who takes that long for only one order yo ??? Really need to improve that please 🙏🏼
I like the chain, but this location took over 20m to make an iced Thai tea… wasn’t even busy, ~4 orders in front of me.
Took nearly 30 minutes to get drinks on 6/10. It was not busy, the two teenagers working insisted on gossiping and not making drinks.
Gong Cha was my favorite boba shop, absolutely delicious teas and perfectly cooked pearls. That is why I am extremely disappointed that this gong cha store has seemingly changed in boba pearl recipe, either buying smaller pearls, overcooking them, or something else wrong. What I thought was the best boba in the area turned into a drink so bad I dumped it before finishing half. I will be looking for another go to boba shop, but I'd prefer to continue going to gong cha if they fix this issue. Thank you!
Local so we come here often. Used to be pretty alright but lately when I order something here the drink makes both me and my wife unwell. I drink a lot of milk tea and it’s isolated to this location. Anyway, I ordered a Sparkling Star Jelly Grapefruit a couple days ago and when we took it home the drink was stale. Barely any carbonation. I come in today to order something else and a lady walks up to complain that her Sparkling Star Jelly Grapefruit also has no carbonation. The guy says that’s just how it is because they use a button on the soda stream to carbonate. He shrugged when she asked if it could be remade and said she would need to pay again. The guy also got my order wrong, getting us a black tea instead of a black milk tea. Maybe he’s new, I’m not sure. Would be a one star but forgive me for being soft on a place I used to frequent.

They treat different people differently depending on what you are perceived as (you read that right, it's like that). I would DO NOT recommend this place. Besides what's already been said, tea is not good.
I have been going to Gong Cha in Sunnyvale on a daily basis for almost 3 years. I have always tipped the staff 15% to support the business. Furthermore, I have ordered the same drink every time I'm there. Recently one of the regular staff gave me the wrong drink. When I went back in the store, I had to stand in line again while my waffles were sitting around getting cold. When I asked for a refund, the staff refused to give it so I thought I'd talk to the owners Mike and Fran. Rather than having their support as a loyal customer, I was reprimanded on the phone for asking a refund for the wrong drink. In addition, I was told it didn't matter if they lost one regular customer since there were plenty of others around. I'm still in shock and will never be returning to Gong Cha again.
Shocked by the service level at this location. Order 50% ice in a nearly 7 dollar drink and end up with a cup that's literally half ice after it's been shaken and drank. This is not a one time thing. There is literally a chart on the menu that shows what 100%, 50% and 25% mean and the dude behind the counter has the cajones to point at the fill line 75% up the cup and tell me that ice up to there is what 50% ice is. Zero concern or attempt to rectify. Too much competition to waste my money here again.
Poor customer service. Even if the order is ready 20mins ago, employees wont let you pick up when you enter and you have to stand jn line. Also they prefer to spend time chatting among themselves than serving the customer requests.
I went there today to pick up my order, but the lady there she was so rude and told me she don’t have any order while I showed her confirmation. She didn’t even bother to check it. Through out the time she was doing something else didn’t even talk to me properly. Very bad rude customer service. Never going there again
Called to ask about the FFXIV promotion Gong Cha is running. They didn’t pick up and then when I called again, they picked up and hung up on me.
I think the red velvet drink is one of the worst drinks I’ve ever had. Even without that drink experience I’ve never had a drink that was better than a 2/5 at Gongcha. Extremely mid chain store. I would rather go to Tea Era as their food is pretty solid. Their mochi waffle was good but the wait was a while. Barista interaction was okay but my drink was kind of sticky on the outside of the cup? I would usually give it a 2/5 but god that red velvet was actually terrible.
Terrible service! They do not update their menu/availability on Doordash and cancel items without allowing you to contact them. Tried calling several times as well and no response over the phone or through their DD messaging portal. Not a good experience.... (the location in Santa Clara is great!)
