Super friendly owners and staff. Great food. Loved the pho, which I took to go and the spring rolls were nice too
Very good customer service, for me small size was pretty enough volume, the soup I personaly preffer hotter when it is served but very good soup! I will come back;)
Staff are very friendly the place doesn't look the best but looks aren't everything the restaurant is as clean as it can be the food is absolutely amazing I had the pork with rice dish with an over easy egit tasted so good and so simple and the pho is really good too check it out !!. Also the service is very fast and the price of the food is soooooo cheap
Very tasty and nice price! You cannot find good quality food with this reasonable price in this area anymore! Totally love it. Please try! Please support this business.
Pho bo was very delicious!
Service here is amazingly quick. They have a calm atmosphere in the restaurant, and the food is delicious. Nice old style restaurant.
Amazing Pho, old style decor, warm family setting. I got the house special and was impressed. Food came very quickly, and the taste wS extraordinary.
Still the best Pho in town: excellent clean (min MSG) taste, ample trimmings (more than!other places), proper spice rack, ...
Love it, plenty of meat in the pho. Iced milk coffee is highly recommend !
Hidden gem, great portions, tasty pho broth, very reasonable price
The best pho in town. very fast, hot, cheap and delicious. No fake broth taste like some of the other spots
Best pho ever.
I used to have lunch here regularly when I worked in the area 20 years ago. I returned this week and it is just as I remembered it. I had a lean beef pho with extra meatballs, and a soda chanh, and it brought back good memories. I’m happy to find a place that has remained good over the years.
My daughter really loves the photo here and the service is good. Just yesterday, the take out bag broke and soup spilled out from all over the place as I was getting into my car. Someone notified their staff and they immediately came out to help and replace the soup. Really appreciate their help.
Can confirm the good reviews. We often went past this place without even noticing it. All the beef choices are delicious and also the appetizer rolls. On top the prices are absolutely reasonable and low.
This is the Phở restaurant, not Thai. If you want authentic Phở, this is the place. I always order number 15 large. The broth is piquantly pleasant to the taste, and the raw/tái meat is just a the right slice because they use a good section of beef. Do enjoy!
Hole in the wall type place. The dishes are very tasty. Ive gone so many times and tried pretty much about everything and never disappoints. I think it’s family owned so everything is very rich in flavor compared to these other pho places. If you like coconut, I would recommend the coconut drink 11/10.
I've been looking for a good go-to, hole in the wall, authentic and delicious pho place and I finally found it. I got a large #10 with a Vietnamese coffee...... AMAZING. My total was $19; you can do a combo of a bowl of pho and a drink for $17.45 and I upgraded to the large bowl. The broth was rich and delicious, so flavorful. It came with a huge bag of bean sprouts, Thai basil, jalapeño, lime and sriracha. The Vietnamese coffee was so rich, nice color, bold flavor and traditionally made. You walk in and it smells amazing. 5/5 stars. The man who took my order was so friendly and quick. Overall, such a great atmosphere, amazing pho and coffee. My new go-to spot that I've already told people to start trying!!
Always great food. Pho, rice plates sandwiches, egg rolls, fresh rolls. Family run staff always courteous and attentive. Quick serve atmosphere and not fine dining.
best place in the world to eat. my husband grew up eating here he said he said he would come here after any kind of day and he was just so happy. we went here to eat after visiting his mom and I loved it, and the man that runs the place was so sweet and nice. 5 stars highly recommend to eat here. you will not be disappointed.
Staff is very attentive, friendly, patient, and thoughtful. The restaurant was clean & welcoming. The food was way beyond my expectations. Perfect answer for a cold night, rainy night, or just soothe your soul. All of the above for me after a 5 hour drive.
Most important thing about Pho is the soup then the meat. Good pho soup don't use MSG, and you can taste it. And it has to be hot, just like ramen soup. Hot! I love pho so I tried many pho restaurants, even those in San Jose supposed to be famously good or in little Saigon, so far this is the best. Soup - Hot, flavorful and it's not loaded with MSG. Beef - my favorite is flank. Theirs are not very fat but very tender. They also give very generous portion. Ice coffee - rich and flavorful. This place surely offer great value, when I first start coming here many years ago, the price was so much cheaper but even now, $8 isn't bad at all. Considered the small is already pretty filling thanks to the generous portion. It's hard to find good quality pho and at such reasonable price. The thing is they serve so fast. Sometime it comes as fast as 5 minutes.
The consistently delicious pho and attentive service keep me a loyal customer. A bowl of #1 and an order of Cha Gio that I split with my husband, and I'm in heaven. The broth is always flavorful, meat well-prepared, and noodles are perfect. I could care less about the decor and appreciate the owners focusing on creating excellent food.
They take debit/credit, this place has become my favorite place to get a tasty pho and a salty lemonade! It’s not expensive and portions are really great! I loved it!
delicious pho, hugeee portions and reasonable price. veggies were very fresh as well!
The restaurant serves two types of phở: beef based, and chicken based. Each comes with variety of flavors, especially beef based. There are menu with picture of each flavor for customer to order. The restaurant also serves other dishes such as "bánh mì" or Vietnamese sandwich, rice-based dishes, etc.
the price is reasonable and the food is good.it has lots of beef in one bowl.
Good solid place to go get a bowl of pho before going to Great America.
My weekly favorite Vietnam noodle. Friendly service and delicious noodle
Cute little mom and pop shop with one of the most affordable menus in all of the bay area. The interior was a bit dated and it reminds you of an old style diner and service feels very no-frills. That said, their pho is probably the best value for your money that you will find by a long shot and it was one of the tastiest meals I've had in a while!
The boss and the lady are always cheerful and welcome you! The pho tastes good. (I ordered Large #1 & #3 before)
The peanut sauce for the summer rolls isn’t that great. It’s too watery and it doesn’t have a strong peanut flavor, too sweet! Pho is good. Well priced compared to other pho restaurants around the area. Stingy on the basil and bean sprouts though. You get what you pay for! If you’re not looking for pho but still want Vietnamese, #54 is a solid option
Hidden gem! You wouldn’t expect such a fantastic spot for casual family dining just by looking at the exterior. The pho is incredibly authentic—the beef broth is rich and flavorful. Their iced Vietnamese coffee is a must-try! The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
The best pho i have eaten in CA! I came across this restaurant few months ago and tried their beef pho and it was perfect. Today i drove long way to get here and ordered the vermicelli and beef stew. They are amazing and super good! Also their amount is pretty large and price is reasonable!Love them!
This place has a classic, low key local vibe that really makes you feel relaxed and cozy. You can choose between booth seats by the window or table seating that works for both smaller and larger groups. Personally a big fan of their beef stew - loaded with fresh ingredients and the soup is absolutely delicious. The grilled chicken tastes good too, although the rice can be a bit on the softer side the day I had. Staffs are welcoming and wearing smiles all the time. Inexpensive price. Highly recommended if you’re in the mood for authentic and casual Vietnamese food!
Very good Pho. Service is awesome and friendly. Always accommodating. I eat spicy so the extra Jalapeños is great with the siracha or chili paste at the table. Update, Love this place, so tasty.
I've tried countless pho spots across the Bay Area, but I always found myself going back to my all-time favorite—Pho Kim Long. Even after checking out numerous places recommended by my Vietnamese friends, none of them quite hit the mark when it came to satisfying my pho cravings—until now. Since moving to Sunnyvale, I decided to explore local options and stumbled upon this unassuming pho restaurant near my home. The exterior isn't flashy, but it gave off a very authentic, Vietnam-street-vendor vibe that immediately caught my attention. To my surprise, this was the only pho place I've come across in over 30 years in the Bay Area that also includes Korean language on the menu—a rare and interesting find. Even more surprising? The pho here was not only delicious but also more affordable than Pho Kim Long and most others in the area. The quality held up just as well, if not better. Honestly, it was very good. So good that I no longer feel the need to drive all the way to my usual spot. Why pay more when you can get the same (or better) flavor closer to home? I’m beyond happy to have found this hidden gem. Highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for top-notch pho at a great price. Service was good and quick as expected.
I like pho and this places serves it really well! Got the house special selection large size and it came out really fast. Comes with all the ingredients you would expect from an excellent pho. There were a lot of noodles in there and the broth was super tasty! The beef was also quite enjoyable. I would definitely come back to eat more pho.
This pho was amazing! Thanks and if someone is reading this, come to this restaurant and try for yourself.
Old school pho restaurant. Good selections of meat cuts. Best eggrolls! And soup is also nice. Recommended!
This place serves fantastic Pho. We got the #2 (beef pho with tripe) and the chicken pho. Both were very very good. The vietnamese iced coffee was amazing too. It's been years since I had viet iced coffee made at the table. Places in west LA generally have it pre-made and it does not taste the same. Skip the spring rolls though. They were pretty meh. Good service and lots of seating.
Best pho we have found in the Santa Clara and Sunnyvale areas. The portions are huge and they give plenty of meat. Most importantly, the broth is very flavorful and not bland like most places in the area. If you come for dinner, there will be no wait as this is primarily a popular lunch spot. They are also bike friendly and allowed us to park our bikes inside.
Pleasant surprise! Delicious food a d family style service. Lots of TLC with customers. Fair prices. Next time I'll try the banh mi sandwiches.
5/17/2023 It’s been a while since we’ve come here for lunch. The place is still the same with old attentive service, delicious pho and great price. The pho broth is always flavorful and plentiful with meats and noodles. The prices have gone up but still less expensive than many restaurants around. For lunch with time is the essence, the food delivered quite quickly. I love this place and only come here if I need a hot bowl of pho. For 2 people is less than $30 including tax. Can’t beat the price anywhere. It may not be as fancy and romantic for dates, but the food will make your date happy LOL. 9/14/9022 It’s been a long time since I’ve been here for lunch or dinner. It’s a small restaurant in a small shopping complex in Sunnyvale. It’s been here since I’ve started working in this area in 2000’s. This place is a clean restaurant, the service is excellent, attentive and quick especially good for lunch since we don’t have much time. The pho is tasty and inexpensive, other Vietnamese dishes are great too. My mom and sisters loved this place. Even now with the inflation, I can still have a wonderful lunch with a bowl of delicious pho for $12 while everywhere else could go up to $17. I like the atmosphere, simple and friendly. The business people are friendly and pleasant. They accept credit cards, which is nice. This Pho Nam is just a great restaurant. If you call a little restaurant hiding in a small bland old shopping center a hole in the wall restaurant, this is the one, but the pho is quite tasty and inexpensive compared to all the pho restaurants around Sunnyvale, less then $10 for a small bowl and as plenty as many big ones elsewhere. My mom and my sister love this place, simple, tasty and not pretentious, great food for a great price. The servers are also simple and attentive, fast and efficient. If you come after 12pm, chances are you have to wait because the place is limited with both seating and parking. The smart and savvy people actually know this place well. We come here and talk every time we get together with mom, we do talk for a long time, to not blocking their business, we come later so the crowds have been gone after 1pm or so. The bowls look old, small but packed with good noodles, tasty meats and excellent soup, real pho, not fake one with no msg or fusion pretend, it's cooked like what pho is supposed to be and smart people here do know it. We did try some other dishes and they're quite good too, although I've never tried myself, but my family members did. It's close to the Big Walmart super store, Mercado, hard to find but it's there. Google is your friend. BTW, they accept credit cards with bill more than $10 excluding tax, it’s a good thing.
The food here is amazing. If you’re picky about the texture of pho noodles, this spot gets it spot on. Not too soft in contrast to many other pho spots. Also had very delicious and authentic Thai iced tea. Great pho and great prices to boot.
Pho nam is a small hole in the wall right next to AMC Mercado. The cashier lets you pay separately for splitting up credit cards so its nice. The pho is pretty standard san jose Pho but the waiters are nicer and more accommodating. Parking is limited in front but if you park on the side theres plenty of parking. Would always recommend #1 large and their grilled pork vermicelli is pretty good too!
Been going here for years and the food is always good. Family run and they take good care of you.

A very convenient walk from my hotel. The Vermicelli was fantastic, even in to-go form.

Great little hidden gem bear hwy 101 our little spot to grab some pho or Vietnamese style food before going to San Francisco. The pho is decent it's very quite here.
It was 10 years before I found out the "good Viet soup" place I went to near work and the "good Viet soup and entres" I went to near home were they same, but one day I realized that it wasn't just a similar name & menu, but the same. Great Pho - ok, I stick to the steak normally, but it's tasty. My wife has tried a number of the drinks w/ beans, pearls, jellies, etc. and likes them all. Tasty, quick and great value.
I cannot claim this a best kept secret, although the location is rather secluded. But they have enough return customers like myself who can't get enough of them. Food: Top pho in the area bar none. Their meat is always well selected and prepared, no cutting corners like so many others. No tissues that are hard to chew. No corners and edges that taste stale. Cooking is consistent whenever you visit. And taste simply has no competition locally. (I still think Pho Bang New York of Montreal the best, though I haven't visited them since coming to know Pho Nam.) Portion is also very generous compared to local competition. (Again, Pho Bang New York easily tops.) Interior: Furnishing is adequate, well maintained although rather basic, except the carpet. Carpet is rather undermaintained. I believe that's what gives the unpleasant interior smell. Tucked into a nondescript strip mall, they always keep otherwise large windows shuttered. This may have added to the smell. Although Pho Nam restaurants use similar decorations, the one on El Camino looks much better. This one perhaps has the most faded wall decorations, although the intricate interaction between artificial lights and whatever sunlight that escapes the shutters can make the space feel cozier than a fast food place. Right, this is a sit-down fast food place. Seating is typical train couches. Service: Even though they seat you and take your orders, your pho usually comes out faster than In-and-Out burger if you know what you wanted in advance. (My favourites are #1 and #4 from the menu.) On the other hand, they do have dishes, sides, and specialty drinks in addition to some 20 phos. (I really just go there for pho so I cannot comment on food other than pho. (I only tried spring rolls. Although I am fond of Vietnamese rolls, theirs is not the best.) Like in many oriental restaurants, they serve complimentary hot tea if you don't want iced water. (Nothing fancy about the tea but better than many similar restaurants, some of them would gladly charge you for this.) After the meal, you go to the counter to view your bill and pay. (They used to accept credit cards, but no longer.) Servers' are cordial and prompt, just don't expect much in food recommendations. Warning: They can be swamped during weekday lunches. What else? Oh. Do not use the restroom unless you have to. (OK, this applies universally to similar establishments, even applies to some trendy Chinese restaurants.) However, the restroom is reasonably clean. I've been to two other Pho Nam's in the area (as well as many other pho places). This one is the best among them, and serves the best pho in the area bar none. Their bill shows they are shop #4, so they must have at least one location that I haven't visited.
Very tasty pho and other traditional dishes served quickly! This is a great option for a fast lunch with a group where you can be in and out in well under an hour.
More parking out back if front lot is full A good place to eat pho but the portions are small compared to other restaurants and pre pandemic
Main reason i go to a pho restaurant is for the pho, and this place has very good pho. Service was fast, the only thing missing was the drink refills. I like places that refill your drink before it is empty.
very yummy Vietnamese restaurant. friwndly staff tasty soups and pho. i had dinner few times here, like their simplicity and taste. recommended for good food.
Old school hidden pho place catering to the local office lunch crowd. Tasty food and reasonably priced lunch set with pho and drinks. Try their beef stew, you'll get the choice of bread, pho or rice as the side, very home cooked flavors.
Updated review: Standard Pho/Vietnamese fare and offerings. Fast service and polite staff. They accept contact/NFC payment, so don't believe any recent reviews claiming they don't accept credit cards. Highly recommend the beef stew. Old review: The service is fast and the food is okay, but they have the ac too high for my preference and i get migraines when i eat indoors.
5 star food, 5 star staff, great prices, 2 star building (although very clean), 1 star neighborhood. I eat lunch here every couple of weeks, I love their broth. The location is the only drawback since it is right by a 7-11 and a liquor store. The staff are amazing, you will not wait at the door and you pay at the counter, so no waiting on a check. Usually pretty busy, but not overly crowded. Cash only, FYI.
Been coming here for years, always good, clean very tasty. Lately tho, the Large bowl seems to have shrunk and the amount of noodles is less. Still has good amount of meat and broth is very good.
I ordered togo at least once a week, my favorite: large beef soup special, side spring roll, and avocado/strawberry smoothies. Always fulfilled and satisfied. Rice dishes are also highly recommended.
Very generous portions! Quick service and delicious pho, though a bit on the salty side
I feel like this place is a hidden gem. In a tiny strip mall next to a bar and a 7-11 is Pho Nam. Came here on a Sunday after a quick search of pho restaurants in the area. This place is quite large as they have two separate dining areas. It's a no frills spot, and you're not going to get your typical 4 page menu. Add-on items for your pho are available at a cost. They have a meal combo that comes with a drink and it's a good deal. Definitely will come back if i'm in the area!
Accidentally found this place years ago and can’t stop coming to this place! Pho is so yum and their Thai tea is legendary!
Best pho place in north Sunnyvale! Family owned, quick service and friendly staff. Prices are reasonable, lunch specials. I usually get their pho tai chin nam, the broth is good and portion size is appropriate. Other favorite dishes are bun thit Nuong (grilled pork and cold noodles) and the Bo kho (beef stew). Their rice plates are pretty good too. When my mom doesn't want to cook, we'll order from here. My parents are pretty picky with Vietnamese food, so you know it's authentic. Their decor may be a bit outdated, but the place is clean.
Vietnamese restaurant just off the freeway in a small plaza. Interior feels dated but has its own charm. Came here for Sunday lunch and service was fast and friendly. The banh was huge holy. I probably wouldn't return for the rice plates, as I think similar restaurants give more toppings and less rice for a similar price. There is a 3.99% credit card fee.
We miss this place. Decor is dated and some sections need better care. However the food is consistent and good. You best eat Pho to really appreciate the place but rice plates like the pork chop are tasty. We really enjoy the fried rolls and the smoothies (favorite is strawberry). Staff has really been good to us. It gets really busy some nights and daily at lunch. There are tons of Pho places but welike coming here.
Super efficient and friendly service. Soup is good, but the egg roll was so-so. If you want to have a quiet lunch, this is a good spot. Interior is dark and feels a bit dated. Small parking lot so parking can be a challenge.

Bring your piggy bank here because they only accept cash. Eating next to a 7-11 isn't always the most comforting. The outside feels a bit remote, but it's always busy inside with all colored-collared (white, blue) clientele eating here. Very casual, quick, and consistent.
Good go to place. I love the rice plate here and always get #63. Good parking space and fast services. But a bit run down and could use a refresh on the interior.
It close and consistent when it comes to food. SErvice is quick and food is what you expect. People are very friendly and I believe family owned. What you will take away after you've dined here is a feel and taste of how it use to be in mid or late 80's. Trust me on this one. You tell me if I'm wrong.
Divey lil’ mom n pop type pho noodle house. Very convenient for weekday lunches though. Enough parking if you get there not at high lunch time. Basic pho.
Having a serious Bu'n craving, I decided to stop in and try Pho Nam. In a tiny "shopping center" that has a 7-Eleven to one side and a dive bar on the other. Walking in, I was put off by the set-up of the place and the tacky decor; but I was hungry and kept an open mind. I was greeted with a warm smile and was seated immediately. The waitress brought me water and a menu right away. After perusing their types of Bu'n, the waitress returned. I told her that I usually order Grilled Pork, but that the Grilled Beef & Onion Rolls sounded good too. To which she replied; you can order half & half! What?! Done!! My order showed up in a couple minutes and it smelled fantastic. Plenty of noodles, crispy, fresh veggies, (including pickled carrots, yum), and lots of yummy meat. Wow. The pork was juicy and well seasoned. The Beef & Onion Rolls, were BEYOND! I only wish that the accompanying fish sauce was better. Good prices, friendly counter check-out. CASH ONLY! I will definitely go back!

Can't speak to the pho but the bahn mi's were not good
If you eat more than one hamburger, this is definitely not the place you want to visit. At $14 ~ $15 per “large” bowl of rice noodles (PHO), this is definitely the smallest bowl you can possibly find in entire California. The soup has nothing spectacular for a 4.6 rating. It puts me in thinking whether Google cares about their quarter report than your wellbeing. I will stop reading the ratings from Google for sure after so many poor experiences.
Pho was ok, not memorable, not good, not bad. Pho isn't made with real bone broth, which takes hours to make, just beef broth with instant beef stock granules. Most Pho restaurants don't serve real bone broth, the only restaurant which we've found does is Pho 54 in South San Jose, our favorite and regular place for pho. Vegetable accompaniment was fresh, hot tea was fresh. Spring rolls were just ok. Clean but quite cold (chilly, need a jacket) environment. Once was enough.
I've had some great meals here over the years, but something has changed drastically in the service. The food is okay, the price has gone up but that's to be expected in California. My issue with this pho nam in particular is that the waiters/waitresses don't seem to pay much attention when taking orders and often get the item wrong by one number or they only bring one of something when I asked for 2. I've also seen a food runner stick his thumb in my Pho, on accident, but still, I asked for a completely different dish instead of the same one so they dont just bring out the same tainted one. I know that seems impractical, but it just made the meal unpleasant. I've never gone up to complain about misplaced orders, but nobody really comes to check up on customers or give refills. This place is only good if you just want to eat and go rather than sitting down with people for more than 20 minutes.
I wouldn't recommend this place. Don't waste your money. I ask for extra shrimp got charge a dollar per small shrimp and the noodles or soup ain't good. Waste of money.
They charge an extra fee for card payments. The noodles were overcooked and completely mushy, and the Thai tea didn’t taste good. I don’t think I’ll go again.
The two bowls of soup I ordered for my grandson and I were tasty and hot. The spring rolls were very bland but came with a generous dollop of peanut sauce. The smoothies were good. All that said, I was surprised by the total, $49.00. YIKES… for noodle soup!!
The take cash only and they have atm . They required minimum 15 $ for debit card. And I have to cash out on their atm and I paid stupid fee 2$ for atm. I'm working for IRS. And I will report it
