Opinions de Tipsy Putt Sunnyvale
Very friendly people the atmosphere is great. The people who go there are friendly. They have this in house game that's a cross between pool and mini golf. It's pretty sweet. Also they have a ton of table top games like Domino's, uno, battleship, cards against humanity. All that good stuff and all they ask if for your ID and you're set. It's pretty cool if you're waiting for your movie to start because AMC is legit down the street from this place. 10/10 would recommend
Pretty fun place to hang out and have a couple beers. They have a decent selection and hard ciders too. Decent prices at $5 for a 16oz. 9 holes of mini golf. Mostly super easy except one or two. The one problem with it is one of the holes is pretty difficult and everyone gets backed up. When it’s busy, it can back up a long time. They also have table top mini golf; I’ll try that next time. Didn’t try the food. Great place to hang cuz there’s something to do besides drink. They play hands on the TVs too.
I came here for a company outing. Everyone really enjoyed the event. Plus, the employees who helped me out plan it made life a lot easier for me. Thank you so much, Tipsy! It was my first time there and I'm sure we'll be back in the future. 🙏
Omg we came last minute and they we so acommadating!!!! If you’re looking for a girls night date night without interactions this is your spot! If you want to mingle because you’re single horrible spot. But great for one on one!! Thank you for helping us!
Andrew & Elsa were amazing host. It was our first time at tipsy putt. They recommended good drinks and helped us with our first adventure at tipsy putt we highly recommend coming here if you want something fun to do.
Playing mini golf is fun over there, they have a good variety of beers and drinks. However the food wasn’t really good there, we had tacos and nachos..
Celebrated my 60th birthday with 20 people. We had so much fun. Great place to have a low-key party. Nothing fancy but a great time. Good food and drinks at a reasonable price..
The table putting was actually more fun than the real mini golf. They had good beers even non-alcoholic drinks. We went on a Saturday before the large crowd came so we were able to go through the courses without waiting around. There's easy parking - an orange, free parking garage where people can park around the corner from Tipsy Putt.
Amazing place to go for a drink and some magic the gathering on Monday nights as well as what looks like a decent mini golf course. Haven't had the opportunity to try any of the drinks or food but they have a decent menu as well from what I have seen
An awesome place to go to with friends or coworkers. We went here on a Saturday night for a work party and it was a great experience. The food is well priced and generous portions. The drinks as well we're very well priced and we're STRONG. All the mini golf holes are very fun to play and the 1-2 golf was a really neat spin on the mini golf concept. Will definitely be going back.
Beers and IPAs are good. Recommend #8, #18 and #19. Great for Friday nights. They also have board games like UNO. Have fun!
Nice place to have fun with food golf and games. The drinks was not that strong. But the food was good. Place was crowded. Quesadilla was good as were the tacos. Lots of tables to sit down and fast service
The staff here has done an excellent job providing an entertaining place for families with small children that is also engaging for adults. I recommend spending hours here waiting for your wife at the hair salon across the street. 😉 Good beer selection too.
Fun venue with a variety of things to go. It leans more on the tipsy side than the putt side which is fine but less of what I expected. The drinks are solid and strong and the food is decent bar food. Will come back for the drinking and less so for the putting next time.

Had a lot of fun! Check in was easy with our reservation. The wife and I had some drinks from the bar ( they all tasted amazing and worth the price!!) and food as well which was also delicious! I got the tacos and she got the nachos. The courses were fun and the table top golf side was unique and a lot of fun! Played in the arcade for a bit after. Would come again with more friends! Oh the connect 4 on the table was a lot of fun too! Staff was very nice and welcoming.
Amber was excellent! Top tier service, was incredibly welcoming, and gave excellent recommendations based on our beer preferences. She is also 100% a good vibe and we recommend checking in with her whenever you get here!

Great place to hangout with friends with mini golf game and putt games too! But it’s gets little crowded on weekends so be ready for some wait time! We had wait time of 45mins but enjoyed our time there! Many restaurants nearby so just check in and can get lunch/dinner nearby while you wait!
I’ve been here twice and had a great time both times! It’s perfect for a date night or girls night out. You can play through both the mini golf and 1-2 putt courses pretty quickly, but there’s also a lot of space to sit and chat. And when you’re done you can walk around the surrounding shops and downtown area. My only gripe is that I was there on a Saturday night and at some point (8-9 pm?) they started playing SUPER loud music!! I could barely hear my date talking over the music. It really doesn’t match the vibe in my opinion. People were there to golf, chat, play board games. Not to dance in a nightclub. I would give this place 5 stars if they can be more mindful about the loud music and lower the volume.
Tipsy Putt in downtown Sunnyvale is where mini golf meets craft beer and unfiltered fun. Perfect for team outings, birthday hangs, or awkward Tinder dates trying to swipe right IRL. Picture this: the tech crowd in bubble jackets, craft beer in hand, competing over putts that require more luck than skill. But that’s half the charm. My team skipped the main putting course (which is fun but chaotic on a packed night) and went all-in on tabletop golf—underrated and arguably the better choice if you value your drink not spilling mid-game. Speaking of drinks, the beer list is stacked with a rotating selection of local brews and ciders. I ordered a pale ale, but they were tapped out. No biggie—my bartender still handed me the leftover pour with a wink. Only paid for one, but left feeling like I had three. Vibes. The real surprise? The chicken tenders. Crispy, juicy, and way better than you’d expect from a putt bar. Pair that with a side of loaded tots or pretzel bites and you’re winning whether or not your ball hits the cup. Bottom line: Tipsy Putt is more than just a gimmick bar. It’s where memories are made, beers flow generously, and the golf is just an excuse to hang a little longer.
Its a fun time. Big beer selection and some cocktail options for non drinkers. It's not a full bar though. Food is fine. Flatbread was one of the better items. The courses are fun and there are two different courses, table top and some small putting greens. It's a good fun for a few hours for a decent price.
I recently visited Tipsy Putt and ordered the nachos with guacamole. While the atmosphere of the place is lively and fun, the food didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Overall, the experience was just okay and nachos and guac were fine. The price is okay, but I was expecting more vegetarian friendly options. It’s a good spot for drinks and a casual hangout with colleagues.
Easy fun with a large beer selection and great setting, that just about sums up Tipsy Putt. Pretty conveniently located across from the garages makes this spot easy to pop into for some fun. We did go pretty early on a weekday so we didn’t have to worry about a crowd but we would assume this place must get packed on nights and weekends so be prepared for that. We opted to play table golf instead of minigolf and had a great time doing it. It was pretty cheap and about 10 holes of quick, but strategic fun. We also knocked back a few beers while we played through, and man do they have a beer selection, it’s gotta be over 50 beers. By the end of our time there we also played some skeeball and hit the punching bag machine and could see how people could just get lost there for hours without needing to even play mini golf in the first place. This is just a very fun place to go to and I’m sure it’s even better with a bit of a crowd to add to that energy.
Neat little indoor mini golf spot. The emphasis is on bar and restaraunt though. The food and drinks are good. The ambience is very after workday happy hour.
Super fun place to hangout with friends. Drinks great and there's plenty of options. Staff is also very friendly. The food could be better but I don't go for the food. The golf is very fun and challenging. Great for a date night or just going out with friends.
Had a company group outing on a Monday noon-3pm. It was surprisingly busy with many other corporate outings there as well. Solid service by the staff though. Lots of drink choices available. Overall everyone had a fun time.
Came here for a work event, and it was fine. The food wasn’t excellent (Mexican-ish), and the games were fun enough!
Tipsy Putt in Sunnyvale is a fantastic sports restaurant! The indoor golf adds a fun twist, and the $3 tacos during happy hour are a steal. Enjoying free board games while savoring delicious food makes for a perfect outing!
The place is good for team/ group hangouts. You could maybe try to get some beers in and go through the course - it’s fun for sure. They have a good range of beers. Food was average. Had some finger food, wasn’t impressed.
Great space for entertaining large groups if you arrive early enough to grab large tables. You can play miniature golf and pay for it right at the entrance. Further in is the bar to order drinks and furthest back is the kiosk to order food. The food was good and the drinks were good. We did unlimited play that included unlimited mimosas until 2pm. I would definitely return!
Nice and fun places to meet with your friends, family, colleagues to have some golf time. You can drink with different alcohol levels and food.

We came here for a company event, and it was fun to put around with my coworkers. The food was average. This would be a fun place to get together with friends and hang out to catch up

Good idea however, mini golf is overpriced in my opinion. Additionally, the mini golf area is pretty dirty (lots of stains), probably from people drinking and spilling drinks there.
Tipsy Putt can be a fun place for you to go whether you are on a date or with a group of friends or coworkers. There’s something for everyone there with a handful of activities (mini golf, 1-2 Putt, cornhole, board games, etc.) and wide selection of drinks. Tbh, I was expecting a little more with the mini golf course considering the place is called Tipsy Putt. Like what some of the other reviewers have mentioned, the mini golf course was a little chaotic and confusing to navigate through even with the clearly posted hole numbers because of people skipping through or camping at that hole which prevents the next group from having a chance. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The parking can suck considering it’s downtown but there is a parking garage right next door or across the street. For the price and the amount of activities offered, I don’t really see myself hanging out here for more than 2 hours but that’s just me so I still recommend checking this place out!
It's okay, not great, not terrible, but for $18 per person I would have kinda expected a few more interesting holes and probably 18, instead of the 9 they have. Drinks were good and relatively reasonably priced, it wasn't busy, and the folks were friendly, so all in all, it was OK.
Tipsy Putt seemed like a fun option for a work team outing, and for the price, it wasn't bad. Here's a breakdown of the experience: Great Value for Groups: Booking a reservation for our group of 14 was a breeze, and the price for unlimited mini golf was very reasonable, including the space rental. We were also pleasantly surprised by the food – tacos, salad, nachos, and churros – all surprisingly good for a bar/activity place. Seating and Set-up: The venue offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside, the mini golf (putt-putt) is on the right, and there's a table golf area on the left. Drinks and Getting Started: They offer complimentary tasters for some beers advertised on the TVs. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available. Once you sign the waiver, grab your golf ball, paper, and pencil at the front desk. For table golf, request the special club from the receptionist. Chaotic Mini Golf: Here's where things get frustrating. The mini golf course itself was chaotic! With so many groups, following the sequence became impossible. We'd jump from hole 1 to 7, then end up at 9. Groups were constantly getting split up and confused. Abandoned Drinks and Unclear Occupancy: Drinks left behind at various holes made it hard to tell if a group was still playing or if the hole was free. Easy Games, Short Playtime: The actual mini golf games weren't challenging at all. Excluding the crowd issue, we could've finished in 20 minutes. Game rules are provided on the scorecard you get from the front desk. Limited Replay Value: With the lack of challenge and the chaotic atmosphere, after one round, we were done with the mini golf. Service Upbeat, Parking a Downer: The service staff was fast, and our food and space were ready upon arrival. Heads up on parking: street parking on W. McKinley is limited to 2 hours, and some of my team members got parking tickets. There's a free parking garage behind Tipsy Putt, though. Tipsy Putt has the potential to be a fun group outing, especially with good food and reasonable group rates. However, the overcrowded mini golf course was frustrating and took away from the experience. If you're going with a large group, consider the potential chaos, and maybe plan for other activities alongside the mini golf.
Very close to famous Sunnyvale Murphy ave downtown. We have Parking structure next to it. When we went there was no table service, you have to order and pay upfront and pick up yourself. Food cant be ordered at Bar. You have to Order food seperately from Food section and pick it up. Beers on tap were decent. Mocktails were decent. Good half section are kept for Putts. Overall decent bar with average food options.
A friend and I went here for the first time to have lunch. We were greeted by a nice young lady when entering through the front door. You place your order at the counter and we sat in a booth. We had mini quesabirria and a two taco combo that comes with a fountain drink and chips & salsa. The food was pretty good. You do get a lot of chips. My friend wanted a refill fountain drink and he had to pay for it, no free refills. The place was really empty, which I thought was strange during lunch time. There was no one sitting at the bar and the bartender looked bored.
Great spot for corporate events! Lots of house beer and snacks (nachos, tacos, etc.) for the group. There are two courses: mini golf and 1-2 putt. Both can be completed fairly quickly (only 9 holes). - A bit too much waiting around for my liking on the mini golf course since larger groups ahead can slow the pace down. - Would love to see a larger 1-2 putt course. The game is much more fast paced and there were less bottlenecks due to large groups. Food service was so-so, the kitchen was a bit slow. The food itself was fine. Got 3 tacos and they tasted as I would expect them to taste. Overall, nice spot to hangout. I hope they change the course up often. Also looking forward to trying out one of their trivia nights!

Went here for mini golf since I got a groupon discount. The free drink included (some pomegranate drink) was not good. I took a few sips and threw it away. The golfing wasn't anything spectacular either. It's mainly just a bar with a mino golf part, rather than a mini golf place. Probably will not be coming back. Not worth the price even with the discount.
They set me up with a recurring annual subscription I did not ask for. They usually tell you if you spend $20 more or so, you can keep coming back for a year. Nowhere does it say that it is a recurring charge. When you sign up you only get an email to add your pass to your digital wallet. So call me surprised when my card was charged randomly a year later (no email saying you're gonna get charged again). Just a new email from stripe saying I got charged $49.00 from Tipsy Putt. This is shady business practice/etiquette on the corporate side. Class action lawsuit just waiting to happen. That aside their "On The Green" cocktail was surprisingly good. Overall decent place to hang our with a slightly larger group of friends to catch up. We had about 8 people, and when you do the hand putt, only about 4 people can really fit in at a time, so usually the group ends up splitting into two. They also have a larger seating area in the back where you can have your own get together with like 20-35 people. So yeah, decent place with group of friends, staff on site is nice, but watch for the subscription "gotcha". Edit: 1 star to 2 stars since they refunded me after I emailed them (they could not do it over the phone). Still unhappy with the business practice though.
Over all this place is nice. Just wish they were a little more upfront. They satrted closing the place down at 11pm although they state they are opened till 1:30am. They also put a $77 hold on my card. When I called to figure out why I did not get a real answer. Charged an extra %20 for having an opened tab. Might be a better mid-day experience than a late evening thing.

We hosted an event at Tipsy Putt and were very disappointed with the overall experience. While I appreciated the discounts , the rest of the service fell short. I had requested a reduction in our food order ahead of time, but the staff refused to make any changes, even though our booking was made last minute. At check-in, a staff member was extremely rude and insisted I pay immediately in front of our guests, despite my understanding that payment could be made after the event. The food was another letdown.. very bad!! — meat portions were reasonable, but everything else was lacking in both quantity and quality. To make matters worse, the restrooms near our event space were out of order, which was very inconvenient. We changed our party location last minute as they reached dour and over sold the place.. I would not recommend this venue for private events based on our experience.
We came for the mini golf and it was really bad. We didn't have any food or drink. The mini golf is small, boring, ugly, and expensive for what you get. The 9 holes take around 15-20 minutes, and then you're done. It took me longer to drive here. It's cute that they offer a membership, but once is enough.
Pathetic low effort place with subpar food (boring taste, small portions and crazy marked up price) - chips and nachos is just doritos and store bought salsa. Went for the trivia night and it was horribly organized and very boring. Total waste of time and money visiting here
