We recently celebrated our anniversary dinner at Valley Goat. It was our first time, and our server Francine really elevated our whole experience. Francine was personable, attentive, and gave us amazing recommendations as it was our first time at the restaurant. Francine even recommended the order for our food to come out, and gave us the option of holding off on putting a few items in to see if we still had room. We definitely didn't have room, but we put in the rest of the items anyway because everything was so good we just wanted to get a taste of it all!!! Highlights for us were the spicy hand roll dip, goat empanadas, and disco fries. At the end of the meal, we decided to go for the chocolate passion fruit semifreddo and it did not disappoint. Francine was kind enough to add in a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and it was a must paired with the decadent brownies that accompanied the semifreddo. We truly loved all of the 8 dishes we tried, you really can't go wrong with any of the options here. Thank you to Francine and everyone at the Valley Goat for such a delicious experience!!! We will be back 😋
Oh my god! We need this in the Bay!!!! Came here for dinner and loved the vibe - lively, modern, and great for sharing plates. We ordered a few veg starters and everything was well done. The eggplant was flavorful and the goat milk bread was warm, soft, and addictive. Perfect spot for celebrations with family and friends. Would come back to try more. 🩷
I have been to Valley Goat 🐐 3 times. Is it perfect? No… but my wife and I still feel like it’s worthy of a 5/5. There are some solid dishes and drinks from top to bottom. The price point is better than some tasting menu but it’s not cheap. The parking used to be a pain but not there’s free valet. The atmosphere inside and out is pretty solid within the grounds but it is still a funky location. I need to try the brunch but overall I like this place and it’s nice to see this chef with a restaurant so close by.
This is by far the best restaurant I’ve been to in the South Bay. Every single dish we ordered was delicious, not a single miss. My 2 sisters & I went during brunch. The only issue we had was that they claim their plates to be “family style”,but when we were served the pork belly plate, it came with a singular 3 inch piece of pork belly & plenty on heirloom tomatoes. Kind of ridiculous considering the plate was almost $30. Everything else was 10/10 though.
I recently moved from Chicago and the food scene there was the best. Finding this gem in the Bay Area was incredible. Everything was delicious. The server was so helpful in explaining all of her favorite dishes to us! We went to celebrate a holiday dinner and the only thing that would have made it top notch was holiday music instead of Tupac (but that’s a personal preference haha). Highly recommend and I’d definitely come back here again.
I was super excited when I discovered that my favorite Chicago restaurant opened its sister location here in Sunnyvale and I’ve already been back a couple of times. The space itself is gorgeous! Filled with plants, warm lighting, and a vibrant, modern feel. My favorite dishes so far are the crispy quinoa + tuna poke salad. I love the crispy quinoa so much that I’m seriously tempted to learn how to make it myself (it’s that good). I also tried several other dishes: the empanadas, scones, matcha tres leches, and the potato crepe (available only during weekend brunch) that one was deliciously crispy and full of flavor. That said, I will note that the portions tend to be on the smaller side, so if you’re going with a group or want to leave feeling truly full, it’s good to plan for multiple dishes. I will definitely come back again!
Excellent job Mary-Anne and Manny, thank your incredible team for making it a special night for us! Keep up the good work! Reservations are highly recommended! This place is amazing as well as their food, drinks, ambiance, and people. Yall be nice and patient to the staff, ok? Great vibes for date night too, picturesque campus both day and night! Like our Phones their menu is updated, except seasonally! They had blueberry pancakes for brunch but is now apple! This time we came for dinner and had their pork shank, shrimp salad, goat empadadas, spicy handroll dip and avocado dip with chips. I wish all their sauces came in a bigger container- I could drink the entire thing (it's THAT good)! For the greens we had their wood-fired sprouted cauliflower, sautéed green beans with cashews. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back to try more of their seasonal items! Stay blessed Valley G.O.A.T (truly Greatest Of All Time! 💯)
Chic! Has the style of a big city but the space of the suburbs. Feels like it's straight out of the pages of a travel magazine. Service was top notch, as well as warm and friendly. Someone in our party was vegetarian and the staff took extra measures to make them feel comfortable: vegan menu, separate utensils, etc. Flavors were bold and delicious. It was a trip around the world with hints of Southeast Asian sweetness, spice and acidity mixed into Mexican plates or Californian salads. We got all three desserts and honestly I liked them even more than the main dishes!! Valet only parking was free for the restaurant.
I was unfamiliar with the area and leaned on reviews to find a local restaurant for dinner. I can say with certainty that the reviews did not steer me wrong. I called its third-party reservation line and while I was informed there were no more availabilities for the remainder of evening, I was encouraged to stop by in case there were available seating at the bar or last minite changes to reservations. I'm glad I did because they were able to accommodate me with a table. The restaurant was located amongst the Treehouse hotel property that included their picturesque hotel check-in building, a Beer Garden, Commons, swimming pool and more. Upon entering the restaurant, it was dimly lit with eye-catching decor, plants, colors and warmth. It felt very trendy and cozy at the same time. The music consisted of mainstream 90's hip hop or R&B vibes that felt relevant for Silicon Valley culture. I loved it as I grew up listening to 80s and 90s music. I ordered the Hamachi Poke and Tuna with quinoa salad. I paired it with a glass of Petit Chablis wine. Food here are portioned as shareable plates so you may "travel the world" as my waitress explained. Great way to explain tapas style. I finished dinner with the Chocolate Passionfruit Semifreddo dessert. It was delectable! The balance between the brownie and ice cream was perfect. Prior to finishing dessert, I'd already made a mental note to plan my birthday dinner celebration this month. I'd be curious to visit here during lunch so I can get a landscape view of the outdoor seating area. I recommend visiting this establishment when you're in the area.
It's been many years since we visited two of chef Stephanie Izard's restaurants in Chicago, but this was a great reminder of how amazing her food is. The plates are designed for sharing, the quantity on each plate is reasonable given how rich the food is. Highlights for me included the pork belly and noodles and the spicy handroll dip (it's not very spicy). The only drawback is the pricing...but that's to be expected given the area and the caliber of the food and chef.
Valley Goat was on my list of places to try but this trip (on a Sunday morning) was more of a happy accident. However unplanned, we were able to be seated for lunch at the bar where full service was still offered. Hostess let us know that the place is busy (all outdoor seating was reserved) despite being relatively new. So I recommend booking ahead if you can! The food was phenomenal and feels like the tastes were really well thought out. I had the Yolk-onomiyaki and the Yucatan Pork Belly with Tomatoes. Both felt “crafted” with Asian and Mexican flavors respectively! The menu was small but overall looks really delicious and I’d be interested to try more next time but was very happy with the two I did - the other items, although just as delicious, didn’t seem as unique as these and I could maybe find similar ones elsewhere. The atmosphere seems like it would really pull people in. The colors, plants, decor, music were a really lovely patio vibe. The Treehouse resort area it is located in general was also fun to walk around!
I used to be sad that Faz closed in this space. But wow what a replacement! If you haven’t been to Valley Goat and you’re thinking about it, stop waiting. It’s amazing. And don’t be intimidated by “goat” … most of the dishes don’t involve goat. I’ve had a variety of large and small plates and every single one has been amazing. And the New Years Eve set menu was amazing.

Amazing experience!! Great ambiance with lots of live plants and a living wall of primarily pothos in the waiting area. Great service. We loved Fernando's attentiveness and exceptional service. The menu changes frequently. Today we dined on Goat Empanadas, Veggie Empanadas, Crispy Quinoa Tuna Poke Salad, Yucatan Pork Belly & Tomato, Yolk-Onomiyaki, House Maple Sausage, Brunch Potatoes, and Cinnabiscuit. Everything was awesome, but my favorite was the Quinoa. The light popping in your mouth, combined with the creaminess of the avocado makes it amazing! All of the dishes were an exploration of wonderful textures and amazing flavors. Highly recommended!!!
This place is a great place for a date night or a business dinner. Very nice interior, great presentation on every dish. Their famous dish is their pork, but it is large and heavy. Really enjoy their sea bass and goat empanadas. Service has been hit or miss, sometimes very good sometimes very slow.
Had pretty low expectations...but ambiance and flavor profile were quite good! 3 of us ordered: kosho jacuzzi $19 roadhouse IPA $11 avo dip $17 hamachi $28 disco fries $24 skirt steak $42 pork shank $56 eggplant $34 mango rice $16 It is on the pricier side, so it can definitely add up. Also, service can definitely improve. We did go later in the evening, about an hour/hour and a half before closing, and service was minimal. I could imagine during peak times, the experience could be a bit rough. Parking on site.
We were really looking forward to our visit. The restaurant had great reviews. It is physically inside the Tea House Hotel. The restaurant has that cool trendy vibe witha great atmosphere. The service was polite and efficient but very rushed. It feels like you're just being processed through the assembly line. I can't really blame them the place was busy and it was a Tuesday night. The food was good but not great. The chief is trying to create innovative dishes however just doesn't hit the mix. The Branzion was a little dry and had a Thai inspired sweet and sour sauce which absolutely over powered the taste of the fish. For Branzion less is more. The braised short ribs were ok but lacked fall of the bone tender quality you expect when paying a premium price. With the rest of the items we ordered we had the same opinion good but not quite the 5 stars we were hoping for.
Lunch birthday date with hubs. His first time there and he enjoyed it. Friendly attentive service. We ordered: Veggie empanadas $17: 3/5 it was better the first time I had it. This time the puff pastry tasted like the frozen ones I buy from the supermarket. Inside filling tasted like the Persian grape leaf wraps. Fish tostada $32: 5/5 super flavorful, all the spice! I liked the corn tostada too. Excellent! Avocado dip $17: 3/5 I thought this was going to be some sort of avocado melted queso dip. Nope it's just a creamy avocado dip with thinly sliced fried plantains. Beef skewer chicory salad$39: 5/5 beef was tender and good. Salad was very tasty too. Chocolate semifreddo: complimentary bday dessert was rich and yummy. My fav was the whipped lemon on top.
The food, tapas style, was generally good. The goat empanadas starter and the shrimp salad were probably better than the Yucatán pork belly & tomato, which was not bad but I feel was not very memorable — pondering for a few moments, I think the Yucatán pork belly & tomato could use a little extra kick. Yea, I think the first two plates had their own unique flavors, and so were memorable. Finally, the spiced apple pancake was good — I usually don’t have pancakes but that was not too sweet, and so I ended up finishing my half. In case someone wanna get the pork shank, it is not on the lunch menu — only the dinner menu has it (as of Jan 2026). Service and atmosphere and vibe were all very good. There was hand lotion in the restroom, which was nice. Overall 4 ⭐️ seems fair. I think if the food can be a tad elevated, it would bring my rating close to 5 ⭐️ Btw this restaurant is part of the treehouse hotel.
If you want a menu selection that is unique and uncommon I would recommend this place. They only serve brunch menu on the weekends, FYI. Reservations are recommended, although they always appear to be booked. We just walked in and took a couple of high chairs at the bar. The food is definitely flavorful, and the staff is friendly. We ordered the goat empanadas and the vegetarian potato croquette without the sausage. Both were excellent. Only reason for knocking off one star is the ridiculously high prices.
Beautiful settings right next to a boutique hotel and shops. The decor is lovely and trendy with open spaces with indoor-outdoor connections. This place is designed to cater to tech workers nearby. Ordered avocado dip, goat empanada, beef skewer & chicory salad, pork belly noodles, and three sauce chicken. Both time we were there, the pork belly was burnt and tough to chew. The second visit we had to send it back as the burnt was really burnt to the point that it should not be served. The three sauce chicken was not bad, the beef skewer was also quite dried and not much flavor. I won't go back for the food, but it's a good option for a group lunch with colleagues as the location and the trendy settings enable group dining for nearby offices.
Made a reservation for 5:30 on Sunday and was seated promptly on arrival. My friends and I (party of 3) ordered the spicy handroll, disco fries, and sticky pork shank. All 3 were delicious! The pork shank was sooo tender, and the meat fell right off the bone. This was plenty of food for the 3 of us. I wish the disco fries came out hot, but they were very crispy and the flavor was good. The restaurant itself is beautiful - great for a special dinner out.

Went for a dinner with my wife. Overall the ambience of this place is decent nothing out of the world. And when it comes to food it was a joke! Other than the snacks (empanadas) every thing else was like a sampler. Quantity was super low. We ordered Hamachi poke thinking it's a entree. The food was OK and quantify was kid's size! Wood fired sprouted cauliflower was just cauliflower and some crispy quinoa.. nothing special. Don't recommend for the food for sure!
