Stopped here on our way back to San Antonio. Got the chicken fried steak, and wow, it was delicious! Perfect meat to breading and seasoned well. Mashed potatoes were good. Fries were perfectly crispy outside and tender inside. Golden brown! The little sweet breads were eh. Got lots of chips and good serving of tasty queso. Ample parking for our truck and camper.
Enjoyed food. Large portions friendly staff. Was fairly priced I will go back and eat there again. Very pleased.
We had the fish and shrimp platter and the shrimp platter. Both came with two sides. We both had salad that was huge and fresh. The fish and shrimp platter was 4 pieces of fish and 4 shrimp and a side of fries. All amazing. Crispy batter on seafood. Shrimp platter was a dozen fried shrimp that were amazing. The most delicious thing on each platter was a fried biscuit. Wow. It was a busy place even at 5 pm with both in dining and to go orders.
The food was delicious and the waiter and waitress was amazing! We came in late after a funeral. Some of the staff was very displeased (understandably so!) but our servers were always smiling and so kind. The service alone would have warranted a 5 star review. The food was unexpectedly just as good!
We ordered a rib eye and it was delicious. We haven't tasted such a delightful juicy steak in a very long time. We were just driving through and stopped. So glad we did. To top it off, they are a Christian base establishment.
The chicken fried steak was nice and crispy. The nachos supreme were some of the best nachos I’ve had in a while - real cheese and nicely flavored ground beef and chicken. I would return just for the nachos. Fries and coconut crème pie were good. Also had side salads, spicy coleslaw, green beans. Those were ok.
I wish I could give this place a higher rating. The food was fantastic, portions where big, prices where low, our waiter, Caleb was legit the best waiter I’ve ever had in 43 years of dining out. We are re-arranging our road trip to eat here again on our way back home. Could not recommend them higher.
We are passing thru traveling to Arkansas. The motel we are staying at suggested Skeets. We went there and were not disappointed! It looks like it’s in the process of being updated, so don’t hold that against them if you walk in. Nikki was our server and she was amazing. My husband has allergies and she took pictures of the labels of ingredients so we could see if he could have it. He had the hamburger steak (no sauce on it) but mushrooms and onions. Baked potatoe (which he said was amazing), dinner salad. I had the taco salad. I was very happy with it….very good! We said if we pass thru again, we definitely will be stopping by again!
I was in town helping my father-in-law, and he brought us here for dinner. I have to say it was very good. I had the hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans and you can taste the care in how it was made. My only complaint (and I'm still giving full marks besides) is the fried pickles were way too salty, now it could be my diet of me not eating much salt, but man they were salty. Anyways I will definitely go back and recommend to any one driving threw or who is in the area.
I'm new here in Sweetwater. Skeet's Texas Grill is THE place to eat at here. You will not be disappointed.
This is first time at Skeets, recommended by manager at Best Western Plus where we were staying. I had salad with cut grilled spicy chicken and honey mustard dressing. It was outstanding. Chicken was so tender. The staff was friendly, efficient. Hubby got the grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings: excellent.Highly recommend this place.
We love trying new things when traveling. Coming in from San Antonio. Service and Food was Amazing. We had the Chicken Fried Chicken. It was so crispy and hot! Fried pickles and Catfish were absolutely delicious!! The food was hot like right from the stove. Very fresh!!! You could tell they change their cooking oil frequently. We will be back! Thank you for a wonderful meal! 💕
Amazing salads! We tried the fajita, combo and taco salads. Hot, fresh, tasty food and great service. We accidently stumbled on this place and so glad we did. Don't be fooled by the exterior. Definitely recommend!!

Skeet's was recommended at our hotel, and we went over there with an appetite. Nikki was kind enough to be our waitress (it was the 4th of July, and they were closing up a little early). She prepared our Caesar salad, and boy, was it good. The chicken fried steak was truly one of the best tasting chicken fried I have ever had. My husband really enjoyed his lemon pepper chicken plate as well. I honestly can not say enough about Nikki's service. She was so attentive to us and we were so happy that she was our waitress. We will definitely be coming back and asking for her to be our waitress again. She was a ray of sunshine. 🌞

This place is a local Gem and a must stop at Treasure in Sweetwater. A local greasy spoon that serves large portions of delicious homecooked food. Nikki was outstanding in recommending specific menu items and making sure my hunger needs were satisfied. The Chicken Fried Chicken was Awesome! Highly recommend to anyone traveling through Sweetwater!! Returned on 4.29.2025 and was served by Sara!! She recommended the Hamburger Steak and it was amazing!!
We had the chicken fried chicken and fried fish. We enjoyed both. I found it odd that their side dishes all come in a small plastic container (ramekin.)The service was excellent. Teenage girls we’re taking order and taking orders to the tables. The girls were pleasant and professional. The theme of the dining room is, well….a bit dated, but strangely comfortable. We enjoyed our meal and the servers gave the place a warm feeling. The prices were very reasonable. I recommend this place!
I got the chicken fried steak and it was a pretty tasty dinner. The sides were meh, they came in plastic 4oz containers, potatoes were cold and the beans were clearly from a can, liquid and all. The steak was solid with a great gravy. My tea was really weak. Service was friendly and prompt. Like others were saying, it's still being remodeled. No alcohol.
Dinner was pretty good! Would eat here again. They were super busy and it was close to closing time, but everything was still alright! I had the steak fingers with a salad and it was very good.
Cute local place. We seemed to come at their peak. We didn't have to wait long for the food to come out, but we did have to wait for silverware from the dishwasher. We got chips and queso - the queso is like melted velvetta with salsa. The bbq chicken was good, little spicy. Green beans are flavorful! The roll they gave was fry bread!! The star was the chicken fried steak and the fries!!
The food is pretty good. It’s just missing something. Probably missing seasoning and salt. Never had flavorless gravy before. It’s so easy to make from scratch using bullion, rue, and water. The chicken fried chicken was juicy, but the baked potato wasn’t fully loaded, and you forgot my cup of gravy. Not to mention the unfinished decor of the restaurant that is not giving off the country vibes. Looks like it was built in Ohio.
