If you want to get some of the best bagels on Long Island, just follow your local white girls to Bagel Master. Every single Syosset girl frequents this establishment before school for their bagel and iced coffee. I would definitely avoid coming here between 6:30-7:30 am or you will be consumed by them. They have a huge selection of bagels and flagels (flat bagels) as well as a deli case with cold cuts and other deli specialties. I will always order a flagel, becuase it gives you a nice crispy bagel and there is more surface area to add more toppings and help make better ratios between toppings and bagel. I ordered a whole wheat flagel with two eggs and cheese. That comes with either hot chocolate, coffee, or tea, I got a hot chocolate. The bagel is perfectly chewy and flavorful and the eggs and cheese on top are done right. With a sweet cup of hot chocolate on the side it is a great deal and the perfect way to introduce someone to a great New York bagel. Be cautious of what time you come here because they are extremely crowded during lunch time and in the morning and you will wait awhile. But if you are looking for good bagels at a good price then definitely stop by and see what all the white girls are talking about.

Small, tiny parking lot. But, that doesn't seem to deter the mountain of people who stand, or wait anxiously in their cars for someone to leave. Or, they park and block whoever they need too, for whatever their serving up in the Bagel Master. Anything you order is 5 star. A Tiny little spot is set up with tables and chairs. If you're a party of 4, do yourself a favor, ask for it to go. Then, prepare to play bumper cars in an effort to exit the parking lot and before they take you alive...LOL.

Fresh, perfect bagels. What a NY bagel should be! Make sure to try their sunflower flagel (flat bagel) and their tuna salad is simply the best. Don't be intimidated by the line in the morning as it moves quickly but be ready with your order to keep it moving. Nice selection of bottled beverages and local products available as well.

Everything is good. Family oriented staff is pleasant and service is warm and efficient. Favorite item- egg, tomato and cheese on a whole wheat sunflower seed Flagel (flat bagel). So good! Smoked salmon, deli salads and wraps/sandwiches also excellent here.

I would give six stars if I could. Anyone who gives this place any less than 4 stars (I won’t say anywhere is perfect 100% of the time 😁) either has lost their sense of taste or are simply unpleaseable lol . I have eaten their egg sandwiches, regular sandwiches, salads, to name a few… their blintzes and chocolate croissants are amazing. Everyone should try The Jennifer and the Dirty Ritchie (I get extra syrup) at least once in your life! You’ll thank me! My office orders from here at least twice a week usually 3-5 people ordering and on occasion 10 people on the order. To date they have never messed up an order.

Breakfast sandwich with fried eggs, avocado, green peppers extra provolone was made to perfection, WOW! Even the salt and pepper was perfect serving. Fresh ingredients, made with care AND extremely delicious! The food display case could be kept up a little better, its also old! But dining area was kept well. I was surprised there is no public restroom considering there is a dining room. Price was phenomenal! Plenty of healthy snack options. Highly recommend! I will definitely be visiting again when in area!

Been coming here for years. Bagel Master is the best of the best! Bagels are always hot. All the salads are always fresh. We used them a couple times for family occasions for catering and they come as planned and hook it up everytime. You can tell the owner cares about quality because he's there everyday early morning for years making sure everything is running well. I appreciate that the quality has stayed consistent for years since I started coming. All in all solid joint, great selections of spreads. The name is very accurate. I wept stepping into this bagel bakery. Such a high level of quality and handmade care is not often seen anymore. The taste and texture of each bagel was spot on, and they had everything you would ever want to go with them. I feel if I died one of these bagels would possibly have the power to bring me back to life.

I have been going to Bagel Master since I first moved to Syosset, when my kids were just babies. It has been our family tradition since 1997. Bagel Master has the best tasting and freshest bagels, sandwiches and omelets that we have ever had. My grown kids always stocked-up on Bagel Master bagels when they visited from school and now, still ask me to bring them a dozen of their bagels. When I visit Bagel Master I know I am among friends. I highly recommend Bagel Maser without reservation! Excellent call-ahead service, as well!

Hands down without a question best tasting bagels and flagels I have ever had in my life and I even got my whole family addicted to them too. Nothing compares. Not only is their food great, but it feels like a family and they are super accomodating and will do everything they can to make their customers satisfied. 100/100 would recommend.

I've been coming here for more than 10 years and I will continue to come here. The bagels are amazing. Great oatmeal with a side of brown sugar. Really good veggie tuna. Can't go wrong with anything here! Ice coffee is great too!

Bagel Master has the best bagels in town. They are more expensive then they were previously, but worth it. They make blintzes one day a week. You need to get them quickly because they run out after 2 or 3 days. They are also very good. This is the only place I get bagels or blintzes.

Had a friend in S.C. order me a box of goodies from these guys. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Arrived in a little over 24 hours and enjoying everything in box. Great job, if you haven't tried, you need to. The bagels r to kill for with the lox.

I could have given this place 4 stars, but my breakfast wrap (He-Man) was so good, it just seemed unfair. This seems like a good place for bagels too and reasonably priced. The reasons why I would have given 4 stars have nothing to do with the quality of the food. However, this place is hard to get to (several merging streets with intersections) and very limited parking. The interior is not large and you are in a very tight place for ordering and waiting for food. There are a few (4-6) small tables. This all being said, I will be going back again to try the bagels that smelled so good. It's nice to see a place not overcharge for bagels.

I order from this Deli pretty often and they have not disappointed me even once. The breakfast sandwiches are made to perfection. Must try this place.

One thing I miss however is they had a fun little Sue Bird item on their counter honoring her (as she's a hometown sports legend) and in recent years it seems to have disappeared. I think they need to bring back Sue! lol

EDIT: I take back my angry remarks at the Jennifer Bagel, after the place replied and clarified that it is supposed to be a salad. Still the item was on the menu as a signature bagel, but I guess I should have known not to order it. It is a bunch of cubes of turkey and cucumber, impossible to eat as a bagel.

I like the bagels here. However, I don't understand why the employees wear gloves. They touch your food and touch the money without removing their gloves. Why wear the gloves? I think management should take action. It's simple... take your gloves off when you touch the dirty disgusting money.

Line always looks long but they do a great job of getting orders out quickly. Just wish people would move away from the counter after they order! Great food and always good service!

Is my favorite place since I grew up in town but it does always take forever to get a bagel and coffee. I feel like if they hired one or two additional people that would go to significantly faster and then we wouldn’t have a line of people waiting which is not so great for COVID-19

I'm hitting them one star for completely abandoning the garlic bagel. Objectively, the best bagel flavor. I was subjected to the second-best flavor--not the Everything, please. The chicken salad was pretty good as well as the bagel.

The food is very good. But every time I visit, I get a sandwich, and I'm never asked if I want a side salad that comes with the sandwich. I go there every week and they are always busy but the service is fast. With so much traffic, I wonder why they don't update the very small space they have.

The egg sandwich was ok. The coffee is excellent-probably one of the best cups on the island. I will definitely go back.

Dirty Ritchie was pretty good 😍highly recommended and not expensive.

A staple in the community for ions! Great bagels and friendly service. They have the best breakfast sandwiches and excellent hot chocolate. Wish the door were a little easier to open, especially if you're coming in with a stroller. (It closes quickly and it's very heavy) Be prepared to wait because the service is quite slow!

Sitting on the train each morning, I often wondered about that glowing neon Hot Bagels sign in the distance at the Syosset station. "I could go for a hot bagel" I thought. Years pass and finally I find myself in Syosset on a Sunday morning. I look over, the Hot Bagels sign is once again lit, the parking lot is overflowing into the CVS and bank that border it. I find a space and go inside. This place seems chaotic at first, but you soon see there's order to the chaos, they almost work as a machine. I order a bagel with eggs and meat, expecting to wait ages like other bagel joints. The kitchen must also be a machine crew, as they cranked out a breakfast sandwich faster than expected. I'm in and out in under 5 minutes, for under $5. It was a good stop.

Very good bagels, but the wait is too long.

I ordered the bacon egg and cheese bagel and a nova lox egg bagel. The bacon egg and cheese bagel was delicious but the nova lox bagel was way too salty. It was so salty I had to deconstruct the sandwich to remove the saltiness from the lox.

I don’t think a NY bagel shop should get a simple bagel with cream cheese wrong. They put so little CC on it that you couldn’t taste it. Also, they didn’t change gloves after dealing with money and phones before making the food- that bothers me personally (what’s the point in the gloves). They are nice and there is a rotating door of customers. It’s possible I got unlucky. Either way, I won’t be going back. Too many other really great bagel places nearby.

Food is great and relatively quick service but the staff was so incredibly rude, I couldn’t hear one of them repeat my order and she repeated it in a very demeaning tone. Second time at this establishment and nothing has changed. If you can ignore the poor attitude of the staff then the food is great but personally I’d much rather go to another of the many great bagel shops in Nassau County.

Hmm giving this place 3 stars due to the fact that customer service was friendly and followed and prices was very reasonable. However place needs to improvise to me. Long line wait only to get inside and see that it’s really just a horrible Set up they got going on. Makes no sense why they take orders from one little counter when they have so much space to allow more customers to come inside the store and not being waiting outside. Also because of the very small counter space it adds to customers being all on top of each other. the bagel was soft and tasted fresh. But BEC just wasn’t that good compared to others I’ve had. Coffee is solid and not to forget it came free with my order.

Having moved from Long Island years ago, I have patronized Syosset Bagel twice a year for the past 30 years while visiting friends. These were the best bagels I remember anywhere. However, I am sorry to say, what were outstanding bagels are now mediocre at best. I will no longer go out of my way to visit what was Syosset Bagels.

Good tasting bagels, but this was my first and last time here worst assortment when ordering assorted ( most people put egg and cinnamon raisin but not here) not to mention I didn’t want the bagels cut but I was never asked and when I tried to change the order to bad cause they decided to cut them without asking. Will not be back again.

I got some bagels here on Saturday morning and I thought for that time they would all be fresh but no such luck. One of the bagels tasted as if it was baked last night.

Food good, pricing is fair...the wait for online/mobile order is absolutely ridiculous! The bagel master has its own pick up area...yet everytime I go in to pick up my order there is NO ONE there! It is always a long wait to get a staff members attention to pick up your food. Something that should be quick In & Out service is FAR from that!!!

We have been coming to this bagel joint for 50 years, even after we moved away we would return every visit for a dozen bagels to get our fix. But when we stopped by this trip, the place was open but under construction. Not that it didn't need to be redone as prior reviewers have shared the layout wasn't efficient. But sadly the bagels were nothing like they used to be. There was no bagel smell to the bag and while the consistency wasn't bad, they had no taste. We were here last year and they were still delicious, but this trip was so bad, we won't be returning. So sad.

It's a shame, this once-upon-a-time great bagel shop is over, done. Nothing more to say, making great bagels is like playing an instrument masterfully, you either can or you can't.

Waited 25 minutes for some eggs and French toast to go. Didn't get any utensils or syrup. The French toast was super dry and I don't plan on ever going back there again.

They are gross. The same gloves they use to touch they bagels they use to touch the money and don’t change the gloves. This should be reported to the health department because that completely unsanitary.

I have to say this place is not ideal if you have concerns about COVID. We called in for an order, and was told that the waiting time is 40min, and it is faster to come to the shop. We did and saw the line was huge with about 10 people on the line. I was not comfortable because the group following me has five women and it's impossible for all of them to be social distancing with me. They were chatting and laughing right after me. And they were considered to be one group and occupy one spot. The shop took care of their customers very very slowly. I waited almost 6 min to move up one spot. I was stressed due to the group behind me and the line was not moving. I might end up waiting 1 hour for this. I just quit.

I am so angry and disappointed I went to Bagel Master for lunch. I waited 20 minutes for 2 Bagels only to watch as everyone would use the registered and never change their gloves these people have no concern for anyone's health! We are living in a COVID19 world and there are rules in place to protect customers and employees alike. Your employees need better training! Thanks for wasting my lunch hour!

This place may have good bagel variety, salad's etc. BUT THEIR MANAGER IS RUDE! WHEN I QUESTIONED AN OVERCHARGE, HE GOT NASTY.AND SAID ITS LABOR FEE.WHICJ I NEVER SAW BEFORE AND I USED TO GO THERE AT LEAST 3x a WEEK FOR SAME ORDER NEVER PAID A $4 Extra as a labor fee. The past few times Ive gone in there, I asked for the center to be pulled out of the bagel. Two different people making my food used the same gloves they used to handle money, the register and/or a dirty rag. I asked why they dont change gloves and was told they are not single use gloves like subway uses and a waste of money. When I told the manager how disgusting this was, not in front of customers, he got angry and wanted to fight. This place is dirty. The people that work there are dirty. Ill never go back there and would not recommend it to anyone.

Super Rude staff and manager! I found hair in my sandwich as I was eating it in the store. The manager Vadim (owners son/wanna be boss) told me to get lost. I was a customer for over 4 years. My whole family use to come here. I even kept my mouth shut when I saw the owner ALEX pick up the pickle(that was droped by the worker Ala) and put it in the customers sandwhich I told him he shouldnt do that at the time. Bagels might be OK but they treat their workers like slaves. I stopped by for the bagel but after seeing how mean one man was to the other workers I immediately left. Felt disappointed. No man is above the other and no man is bellow the other. Just saying!

Bagels are pretty decent but service is atrociously terrible (unless they know you well as a customer). Older white male working there (I think he might have been the owner?) threw my card back on the counter instead of directly handing it back to me. He was also generally rude and impatient, walking off a lot while I was still in the middle of placing my order. Then, what do you know, he did a complete 180 with the next customer and was super friendly, asking him questions about his family and his life. Such a horrible business practice considering we are all paying customers at the end of the day smh

Very disappointed in the quality of the food and service at this place. I have had two bad experiences at Bagel Master. My first bad experience was when I went into the store to get a bagel and was treated so poorly by the man who helped me. He was extremely rude to me and when it was time to pay he did not even tell me the total, he just put out his hand for me to give him money. I understand that people can have bad days, so I decided not to hold it against the store. Today, I ordered a half dozen bagels through door dash and I could not believe how stale the bagels were. The bagels were so hard that I could barely cut them and my jaw was actually sore from eating it. This is so disappointing and concerning that the bagels were stale, as I ordered them early in the morning.

Was out on the island for the weekend and before heading home to New Jersey I figured I get a bagel. I came upon this bagel shop and it looked busy enough so I thought it must be decent, sadly I was wrong. I ordered a Taylor ham egg and cheese and while they certainly were generous with the egg and a decent amount of cheese there was a single piece of cold deli ham on the bagel. To make matters worse the bagel tasted like it was purchased from a chain supermarket. Kept saying to myself I should've just stopped at Dunkin!

We got half a dozen cinnamon raisin bagels and did’t like them at all. They were hard, too salty and tasteless. The kids refused to eat them. Overall an unpleasant experience.

I had a really disappointing experience at this bagel shop. I watched the employee handle cash and then go straight back to touching my food without changing her gloves. When I politely pointed it out, she gave me attitude instead of simply fixing the issue. Basic food safety and customer service were definitely lacking. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Came in for a TooGoodToGo order, waited about 30 minutes while being completely respectful. I previously left a 1-star on TGTG by mistake (which I apologize for and I was trying to fix), but it seemed like the staff took it personally. I was met with tension and passive treatment. I still paid, still waited, and didn’t argue. I get that reviews matter, but instead of shutting down a paying customer, it would’ve been better to just ask why I left that review and try to make it right. That’s how you build loyalty. The bagels were actually good — no hate there, but the customer service didn’t match. Just sharing so future customers and staff alike can understand the value of calm communication and giving people the benefit of the doubt.
