I moved away from the area, and recently went back to visit friends and family. The quality is still amazing here and the service is always exceptional. There is nothing like the bagel boss vegetable cream cheese. I introduced my California boyfriend to the bagels, and even he was obsessed with them! Told me he never had a better bagel, and I couldn't agree more :)

Best bagels anywhere. Try the knishes, blintzes and more. For meals, order at the counter. Breakfast was fine.

Best bagels ever! My last stop before leaving to go back to Florida was Bagel Boss for 3 dozen bagels for the family at home, and assorted yummies for the road-trip. The people who work there are helpful and kind. When I said I was driving back to Florida with them, the lady immediately offered to wrap it in plastic so the bagels would survive the trip. Love love love this place.

Loved it. So many different salads to choose from and the bagels are delicious and fresh. I ordered a tuna melt on a bagel and it came with a little potato salad and a pickle, which was really awesome and also delicious! They had cookies and many other items! Pizza place located right next door, and they're open really late!

The guy behind the counter was more than helpful even though I came in extremely late at night. I had a very large order too and he was patient and didn't get frustrated even while another guest was waiting and even acknowledged him to let him know he would be right with him after me. Excellent customer service and the bagels are even better. The bakery good are good too but I didn't care for their cheese danishes.

The food is always great. The staff kind and set up nice. There is always a wait but that goes to show food is good.

This place is on the short list jockeying for position in the race for "Goat". If this place was a WWE wrestler it's finishing move would be the "24hour bagel toaster". The staff is super helpful and will always answer any questions you may have. They are known to serve up some more fluffy airy bagels rather then the crispy crunchy verity but if you prefer crispy crunchy bagels just ask for it toasted.

My husband and I love this place! We come here once every few weeks for bagels and it never disappoints. We typically go around 4-5am and the staff working is always pleasant and attentive. Our order is always right, warm bagels, tasty cookies, and a great selection of EVERYTHING. We've never had a bad experience and being 24 hours is fantastic for people like us who work nights! 100% recommend

I go to bagel boss twice a week for their lunch specials. You get a fish and two sides for 14.99. It’s a good deal and the food tastes great. They give you a large portion of sides as well. The pancakes are also very good! Staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially Isabel, Isabella, and Martina.

My favorite place to eat on the entire planet! They have anything, and all of it is great! They're tuna melts, cream cheese in all its varieties, in any bagel. They also sell egg challah bread and amazing cookies and brownies and a million other pastries I don't know the names of. They have great coffee and salads. Literally anyone can find something they'll want to eat here and it will be delicious. 11/1... the best place ever.

We could not have found a better place, on every level, than Bagel Boss Hicksville, for a family gathering for a lite bite together last Sunday. Through the kindness of Terri, who we were working with, we secured the back dining room for our group. The "buffet" of bagel sandwiches, salads, fruit and cookies, was perfect. The platters were decorated beautifully and the food plentiful. Thanks to the good care of Terri and Delaney (forgive if misspelled), throughout the time we were there, helping, refilling, accommodating every request and assisting in packing up what was leftover, for all of us to take, made our time there just perfect. Not sure of the reason but this place is it the best it’s ever been. Came in today and had a warm sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese, tomato and nova and it was simply sensational. Freshness matched customer service! I will be returning soon. What great kosher bagels! I really enjoyed the lunch I had here. And the French vanilla coffee was delicious. The line moves quickly and we were able to enjoy our food while it was hot. Outdoor dining was available as well.

Love their bagels since the late 1970's. The establishment has increased in size and products. Family owned and a staple of communities. Open 7/24. Product moves fast so items are made fresh daily. Offers catering and delivery. Ample parking in and outside tables. Great place for families. Personally, I love moist large white fish and baked salmon. Price can be high but excellent product.

They have a great selection of tuna salads and cream cheese. They even have impossible burgers as well as veggie and black bean burgers. All are tasty selection. The people are friendly and patient. Best thing they are open 24hrs, midnight is a great time to pop by as that's when they have a fresh crop of bagels coming out to serve their wholesale customers. I always pop in at that time for late night snack.

The flow of the restaurant was confusing, where to stand and where to order, but once our food came through, everything was a lot better. Damn good coffee. The bagels were so thicc it was hard to get my mouth around one, even after I open faced it, and my mouth is not that small. Supremely fluffy, supremely chewy. Lots of fake meat sprinkled in their sandwiches, which should be more of a requirement for breakfast places like this one. On the expensive side, even for a kosher place. As you can see, however, the large portions back it up.

I have been going here this past year and so far I’ve been very happy with all the orders I had. The staff were quick in putting your order together and there’s an area at the back where you can dine in (self serve). The only small complaint is that I’ve never really gotten a warm, welcoming ‘hello’ ever; not that they were rude but I felt almost like we’re not welcomed - except one guy who appeared maybe the boss or manager who would say hi. But if you don’t care about those, this place is great.

I won't give them below a four-star because I don't want to hurt businesses I frequent went to this place many times in the past and I appreciate everything it has to offer but $7 for a flat bagel with cream cheese is highway robbery. I wanted to say something in the store but I could not muster up the courage to say anything.

I lived near Bagel Boss for my entire childhood, and always stop in when I am visiting in NY. My favorite spot (especially late night) for bagels. I was reading some of the one star reviews and it's pretty obvious whoever manages the reviews is using a generative software like ChatGPT to formulate responses. Especially when one of the responses started with "...here's a suggested response". Pro-tip: leave that part out.

Finally had a decent bagel. Maybe not as good as H & H or any of the old time NYC bagel places ( I think the water on Long Island is not as good as the water in the city), but definitely a huge improvement over anything that we get back at home. A bit of advice. Order in advance. The lines on Sunday morning, when of course you want them fresh, are quite long.

The bagels seem a little better in the day time than at night, probably for obvious reasons, but it's hard to beat a 24 hour bagel spot. They have all the classic bakery goods as well. The store is clean and the staff are nice. Not my favorite bagel on the Island but definitely the most convenient.

Really nice sitiing area with a large tv and bathrooms. Large parking lot so you can always find a spot. Overall a great bagel place plus a whole lot more.

Visited this place on Monday early morning. There was a line to get bagels but it didn't take that long to get the bagel. I got a dozen of bagels but pumpernickel bagel was not the one that I was looking for. The color of the bagel looked more like a whole wheat bagel to me. The whole wheat bagel was okay. I still need to try the garlic and onion bagel. Overall, it is the okay place for bagel/breakfast.

Bagel Boss has been around forever — and to be fair, their bagels are really good. Fresh, chewy, classic New York style. But be warned: this is a kosher establishment, which means no bacon. That’s right — the bacon, egg, and cheese becomes just egg and cheese… and heartbreak. The prices are a bit steep for a bagel and coffee, but hey, you’re paying for tradition, not thrift. Still, they’ve been a neighborhood staple for a reason — solid bagels, quick service, and enough cream cheese to spackle a wall. Just don’t come here craving bacon unless you enjoy disappointment served on an everything bagel. 🥯😄

Great neighborhood bagel place. True Long Island bagels - after you eat one of these deli quality bagels the packaged ones from the supermarkets, grocery stores, or Dunkin Donuts taste like bread. Large interior, great coffee options, lots of bagel options, lots of deli cold salad options. Layout is slightly chaotic - the line forms in the middle, but orders are taken to the right, and the deli stuff is to the left. Best feature - the store never closes. I haven’t tested the truth in their words, but you should be able to head there in the middle of the night and still get your deli cravings met. Also love their pies in the winter! Unfortunately they have followed the recent trend to ding credit card / Apple Pay customers with a surcharge, instead of going the other way to give the cash customers a discount.

Stopped in on a Thursday 10:30 am. I was surprised at the ultra slow service. Ordered a toasted bagel with scrambled, bacon and American. It would have been nice if I was told the bacon is a soy alternative. (Disgusting) Overall, the service was poor, sandwich could have been better. (The bagel itself was good) Won't be visiting again as we were passing by, it's not close, and not worth the drive to me.

This place is definitely not for everybody. Very little flavor in their food. It seems that they only do vegetarian or vegan food because I can't understand why their food is lacking in flavor, even with bread! Or rather bagels. I got a sesame bagel and it was the most flavorless bagel I've ever had in my life! If this is indeed a vegetarian or vegan place than I guess it is fine. But if you are expecting a regular bacon, egg on a bagel, look elsewhere.

Tbh it over hyped and overpriced. The service was mid but when you try to get somebody's attention they completely ignore you there's a few workers that give you a fit when you are asking a question or letting them know what you're ordering. I'll let everyone know in advance this is a kosher place so that means no real bacon no real sausage patty, I paid 10 dollars for a b.e.c. cause the 2 eggs on a roll is 5.50 fake bacon was almost 2 dollars and cheese 1.50 but comes with a small coffee. Overall the pancakes, b.e.c. and a bagel with CC 2 bottle drinks was 34 dollars in total.

The bagels are good but they have recently decided to start charging a 4% fee for credit card purchases. I find it insulting they would comment that they value my business when credit card processing fees are one of MANY costs of doing business... While I'll probably still go there, it will only be when other bagel places are closed (huge advantage to bagel boss being 24x7x350(or so).

Current review (2024): unfortunately the service has gone down while the prices have gone up. The bagels are still good but everything else including the hot food, soups, and spreads are hit or miss (more often the latter). The service is the biggest part that has gone down and I'm disappointed that it continues to get worse not better. Previous review: Great bagels, sandwiches, and hot food. I have gone to Bagel Boss on numerous occasions at all hours of the day and they are always friendly and helpful. Great staff and great food.

There is no denying the quality of the food. It's extremely tasty and the Bagels have no equal. But the service is sub par. 3 times in 4 orders they got things wrong or burnt bagels when toasting them. And things like their Whitefish Salad are way overpriced even for how good they are. Maybe we just had bad luck during our visit up here with the orders but customer service alone drops this from 5 to 3 stars for us.

I realize that this is the bagel boss of all bagel bosses, but I simply could not believe how inefficient and confused the staff was behind the counter. I have been a counterperson in very busy delis, there's a way to move things along and then there is a way to just clog things up and make people wait. I'd be glad to show you all how to bust it out, but I don't think I'm going to be back to stand on a huge line again. And the food was expensive. And honestly you can get this quality anywhere on the island. So don't bother with the bagel boss. Harrumph.

I have had better egg salad from other places, it was bit dry and just chunk of the eggs. Flagel tasted amazing and so was customer service. Place was busy but they were working fast that no one was waiting too long. I'll go back and maybe try something else

Having heard a lot of buzz about Bagel Boss, and being a Queens native, I decided to check it out. The bagels themselves were decent, but the standout was definitely the exceptional walnut raisin cream cheese. It's worth noting that because it's a kosher establishment, you won't find options like bacon to go with your egg, and cheese. While the staff provided attentive service, the system for ordering and waiting for pickup could be more streamlined. Both hot and iced coffee is on the side for diy. It's a little expensive, Manhattan price for long Island...

Nickel and dime you...extra charge for using a credit card...extra dollar when getting a rainbow bagel. If it's gonna cost extra to make, why bother?! Tasteless, soggy and wet home fries. Very nonchalant, laid back attitudes, and so slow. Typical. Should have walked out. Will not return.

We use go here all the time but, I changed to town Bagel on Manetto hill. Town Bagel is much welcomed environment. All helper is always happy and put smiles on them! That's not easy to do. All worker works very fast and well systematic so, even though theirs long line cleared fast.

Bagel egg and cheese was excellent, thanks to the young lady that made our sandwiches. However the main manager or owner just wasn't nice. We tried to order multiple orders at once but was told only one person could serve us. If you want good food, this is a good place, however make sure you are ready to order and pay for each order separately. You will then get in and out much faster.

Staff was nice upon walk in. But got my order wrong for my sandwich. Very disappointing due to the fact that i left work and picked up the order for me and my coworkers just to have my order wrong.

Disappointing...I've been to other Bagel Boss locations and stopped at this one because I was working in the area looking to get a BE&C. They told me this location was kosher so no meats. I get it and it's fine to eat kosher but I just wish it were advertised clearly on the outside. You expect a chain restaurant to all serve the same food, call it "Bagel Boss Kosher" or something. The BE&C is a New York staple so you expect to see it in all bagel stores and it's a shock when you don't, and you're already inside the restaurant having waited in line. I did end up ordering an Egg and cheddar on an everything bagel. Unfortunately the bagel was dry (even at 6:30am) and I'm pretty sure I was given American cheese, it had little flavor. Cost me almost $10 even without the meat. Definitely a disappointing breakfast.

I was there today, and ordered 2 egg bagels, one with cream cheese, one to take home. They were not egg bagels. They were trying to pass off plain bagels as egg bagels. When I asked to switch bagels, they refused, and said I'd have to pay for a new one, rather than rectifying the situation. I will not eat there again.

For the last nine years I’ve been going to this bagel boss and it has become one of my favorites. But today I was received by rude customer service in person and when I called I got the same attitude. I got an egg bagel toasted with butter and a side of veggie cream cheese, when I placed my order the first thing he said was well you’re gonna get a pound or half a pound I said no just a little thing on the side, I was told I couldn’t do it . I said I got it the same thing but they’re not supposed to do that he said. So I said OK then I’ll pay for whatever he wished everyone else a wonderful day and just gave me my bag and slid me the receipt so I knew how much it cost. I didn’t say anything until I called back and I asked for a manager and they were nasty, so I guess my favorite bagel place us gone I will no longer be going to, and I would have to find another one.

Worker never write down my order, never told me it was a kosher deli until the food came out and i was already charged and it took 25 minutes for my egg sandwich to come out wrong. Definitely the worst egg sandwich I've ever had.

There are a family of flies happily occupying the pastry case. A buttered bagel costs Four American Dollars, and if they make an error, the world-class nonchalance and indifference you're met with as a customer are truly something to behold. Also, management can save their platitudinous and passive aggressive reply to this. #RestAssured I won't be back, because if your staff is "always ready to impress" , always must fall on the 8th day of the week.

The food is ok but I had a bad interaction with one employee. I ordered an egg sandwich "over hard" and was sarcastically informed that "over hard just means fried." Yes, I am aware what that means. What it also means is that I hate runny eggs that ruin my work clothes. "Just letting you know". Must be nice to be so clearly related to the boss.

Stopped in for a buttered bagel and got a Butter Sandwich. Literally 1 1/2 inches of packed butter on a Bagel. Gross. Threw it in the garbage. Called and spoke to Manager who said some customers prefer that much butter. Why , I don’t know but to each his own. Told her I threw it away and she suggested next time I should ask for a lightly buttered bagel. I spent $3 and threw it out. Never offered to replace it. Sorry, there will be no next time. 🙁

I have been buying bagels from this place for many years. But today I walked in to pick up an online order that I had placed and one of the staff up front went to the back counter to tell the manager someone here for online pickup, to which I overheard the manager reply “so what”? Very rude, unprofessional, and incorrect way to run a business regardless of whether it had anything to do with him directly. Needless to say that I will now buy my bagels from a different bagel store.

Bagels were not good at all. They were barely cooked and the tofu scallion spread tasted like it was past the expiration date. Service is very slow and most likely due to the inefficiency behind the counter. We were in the area for a soccer game and this place has great reviews which is why we stopped in. Very disappointing.

Lady next to me waited 20 minutes for an u toasted bagel with cream cheese while multiple employees yapped it up. All vegetarian menu apparently while not advertising that outside. Nothing was labeled. Guy taking my order didn't even let me finish my sentence, just ran off after I said "two eggs on a" I never usually leave bad reviews but this left such a bad taste in my mouth I had to.

lol this place is such a joke. This is what a Muenster cheese open face toasted everything flagel looks like!!! Staff is slow and always looks pissed, food sucks and they’re the cheapest (as you can see with product), which shouldn’t shock anybody. I went there yesterday to get 6 everything bagels, 4 egg bagels, 2 rolls and 2 packs of cream cheese. We paid $27. After we came home we realized the 6 everything bagels were missing. I went back today and lady said y didn’t you call? I said I thought you must’ve closed. She replied we are open 24/7 sir you did not come here!! I said so I am lying for 6 bagels?? She told an employee just give him the bagels like she was doing me a favor. Then the lady who served us the day before came to the front snd recognized me. My wife recently got a bagel with cream cheese and the bagel had a PUSH PIN BAKED INTO THE DOUGH WHEN SHE BIT DOWN!!! We have been going here for decades but NEVER AGAIN!! I’ve never been disrespected by a restaurant the way I was here. I came to pick up an Uber Eats order, already verified on my phone, and the front desk girl immediately acted like I was trying to steal something. Instead of doing her job professionally, she chose to question me like a criminal and demanded to see my phone even after I told her the order was confirmed. I showed her anyway, but the attitude didn’t stop. The way she spoke to me was completely uncalled for, and no delivery driver should be treated like that. We come here to help your business—not to be insulted or accused. And over the top she reported me and messed up with my ratings If this is how they treat drivers, I can only imagine how they treat customers. Management seriously needs to fix this.

Even the ones from weeks ago but yet 4 days ago responded to a positive one. I can only believe the owner is fine with customers getting this quality of product and don't care about the customers that aren't happy. The audacity to charge $5.50 for an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and give this little cream cheese? I ordered 2 bagels and they both had this little in each. My 3 year old daughter was so excited to have a cream cheese bagel. She likes to lick the cream cheese. Theres practically none. The bagel shop in syosset gives a nice generous portion.

I am a very patient and positive person. The man who checked us out had a MAJOR attitude with us which was extremely uncalled for. First, he gave my husband a hard time about ordering bacon (yes we know it is kosher, & yes we know it was soy based). He talked down to him like he was an idiot. Then, gave us shit for paying with card and charged us 4% card charge so just be aware of that. The entire experience was unpleasant. I bit my tongue and did not say anything at the time but left feeling extremely uneasy. We had done nothing to warrant such an attitude. There are too many bagel places on LI to be giving customers such a terrible experience. It left us super confused and safe to say I will not be returning & sharing my experience with others. Horrible customer sevice.Inspite of ordering online way ahead of time,the staff had no idea of what was ordered and the big guy at the counter hasn't even checked the orders when we reached there.Literally no rush at the store and they are just too lazy to work.He finally managed to pick up my order and was slower than a snail packing the order of a few buttered bagels!; and guess what he even messed up my order by not giving me the custom ordered items on top of all this! The Bagels are okay but honestly lost my appetite just by seeing their subpar attitude to customers.Pathetic customer service!! A complete waste of time and money.Would not recommend buying from here or even worth visiting!

Terrible service both guys at the counter. Bad attitude. Then charge me 27$ for bagel egg soy sausage. A bagel with Mediterranean tuna, and a danish. It’s not worth that amount. It’s robbery. He then does not give me a receipt , I have to ask for one while he’s having a man fit. Dude with Yankee hat and hair over your eyes should be wearing a hair net . You don’t like it go work elsewhere. First and last time I come to this robbery of a place. Food doesn’t taste good . And service it’s terrible
