Been going here for years, since the early 90's, pizza and people inside have always been great! Love their Sicilian pies but everything is great.

This pizza shop is the best in Long Island and maybe even NYS. Whenever I’m in town I make sure to come here! Good portions and amazing selections. Their pizza and Sicilian slices are delish!!!

I lived on the Island for 23 years. Raimo Pizza is by far the top of the food chain for pizza, in the nassau long island area. You will receive the bang for your buck as the quality of pizza is exceptional. Same can be said about their customer service. Even during their busiest time, they are friendly and professional, even for a difficult customer (I take personal blame as i was 2 hours late for my pick-up, they still were able to whip up 2 pies in a matter of 20 mins), I applaud them for that. Now as i live outside of NY, when i go back my first attempt to eat is to get a slice from here.

My favorite pizza around! Crust and sauce are perfect, almost a sweet taste! Hasn’t changed in over 20 years! Great, authentic staff and atmosphere. Less than 1 mile south from LIE at exit 43 in case you are stuck in traffic!

I've been coming to this pizzeria for years now and I've never had a bad experience. My go to is either their Buffalo or BBQ chicken slices but I could easily recommend any of the other dozen+ types they have. Also be sure to check our their pepperoni chips! They're perfect as either a stand alone meal or a snack to go. They also have gelato! What's not to like? I even took a few friends from Japan to this place a few weeks ago and they absolutely loved it!

I have been going here since the mid 90's! Even though the original owner is now retired, I believe it is now owned by someone that's been there for a long time and worked under him. The pizza and food is out of this world and remains the same every chance I get to go there! I always ask when they are gonna open a second location in Westbury were I live! Lol You know a place is good when it doesn't have to deliver!! Keep making great food in the greatest pizzeria I've ever been to on Long Island!

Oh My Goodness! We stopped by this neat last little spot on our return from the Island, and we were not disappointed. We found plenty of parking, in the front and back of the building. From the moment we entered the establishment it was a win! People were dining in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the decor was authentic, the food beckoned to us, and we answered. The place was spotless! Even the bathroom was beyond clean -- we knew right then and there, that we were in for a treat! We had a large pie, chicken Parmesan with linguine, and garlic knots. Everything was tasty and delicious! The pizza outperformed the pizza in my neck-of-the-woods, the flour dough was light, but filling and the cheese was perfection! The coffee was simply splendid! You have to try the gelatos--I had the hazelnut gelato- truly appetizing, and full of real hazelnut flavor! My son had the Stracciatella, and he couldn't stop saying, mmm! The Canoli was crunchy and delicious and the service, impeccable! The prices were good too! If you are about good quality, authentic Italian food, then you have to try Raimo's in Hicksville, you will Not, be disappointed.

BEST PIZZA PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! Grew up there and have brought my family there from Arizona for years now every time I'm in NY. I've had some of the 'best" reviewed slices in the country and this is easily on best! Consider the Owner and staff family!

My kids and I had a great experience at this restaurant. The service was efficient and courteous, restaurant was spotless and above all, the food was amazing. The lobster ravioli is a must!!

Best pizza I've had in 20 years. Grew up in Queens, hard as heck to find good slices out in Nassau. Raimos is in top 5 pizza ever. The guys behind the counter are always welcoming when we eat in, but we'll usually grab a pie and finish it before we get home. Great pizza.

I've been going to Raimo's since childhood. They never disappoint. Whether it's a quick slice during lunch or pasta entrees for dinner, it's delicious. I recommend the Rigatoni Bolognese!

Awesome as always. I have been a customer of Raimos for over 30 years. Since we moved to Suffolk County, we don't get to visit as often. We miss this place. It's the best pizza anywhere. Hands down. No questions asked.

Great food and friendly staff. This place is a diamond in the rough. We tried to go to another place across town, and the line was out the door. There was even a 20 minute wait to get already prepared stuff from the counter. We decided not to wait, and we are glad we did. Raimo's had no wait, and the chicken roll, pinwheel, regular and sicilian slices were all fresh, hot, and yummy. I also ordered a buffalo chicken salad, and it came out quickly with real, fresh blue cheese, and it was really good. :-)

I don't live in the area anymore but when I am back visiting I make sure I get their pepperoni chips. No one on the Island makes them and they are amazing!!!

Best pizza option! Great quality, best ingredients, amazing gelato milky option. Remind me of my grandmas old Italian cooking, imported cheeses and meats. This remind me of Detroit style pizza. I usually get pepperoni pie, but I remove pepperoni before eating. I can’t eat meat, but I like the aroma and flavor the pepperoni cooks into the cheese in oven. I usually put the pepperoni in bag and freeze it. I used to get gelato here, amazing!!!! Creamy chip, and chocolate. I eat both take out and dine in, feels like an upscale restaurant in Italy or Detroit. I like the atmosphere, amazing New York style pizza. I come here to get haircut next door.

The best pizza in the area. Try the chicken bacon ranch or the square vodka.

I grew up in this neighborhood back in the 70’s and 80’s. Raimo’s pizza every Friday was a treat that I have fond memories. It was awesome then and it remains awesome now! The grandma’s Sicilian was so delicious and the white slice (ricotta and mozzarella) equally fantastic….so much cheese! I wonder if the original family still owns this business. It continues to be one of my favorite pizza places!

My go-to spot in Long Island! It's clean, including the bathroom. Comfortable atmosphere with good pizza at a reasonable price. Perfect for a distraction-free family meal. If you're in Hicksville, it's a must-try!

My wife and I moved to the area a few years ago. Since then, we have tried plain/regular pies in the plainview/hicksville area (we like our pizza) at least once a month. We can 100 percent agree, as far as plain/regular pies, Raimo's is number 1 in the area. I'm posting this while eating a pie from elsewhere (regretfully). We appreciate you, Raimo!

I’m 5 mins from Marios, Phils and every pizza shop you can name on jericho turnpike or the surrounding area. But my family and I make the drive down South Oyster Bay road for Raimo’s. Their large pie is a true 18”, not a fake large 16” like everyone else. Their pizza is the most cheese filled pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life. Sauce is perfect with a bit of sweetness. Crust is dead on. But its all about the massive amount of cheese they drop on their pies. I’m originally from Queens and their pie ranks up there with Amore’s in terms of the GOAT pizzas. If you’re reading this, Raimo, never change. You have the best pie on the Island and lets keep it that way.

I've been wanting to go here for about 20 years! My husband is from Hicksville and we now live in Phila (where the pizza is average and it's hard to find GREAT pizza). We were visiting family and I FINALLY got to try it and JACKPOT! This place is now the Standard that all other pizza needs to measure up to! Thank you for remaining consistently wonderful! Been here since 1989, always had Mario’s before and was pretty good 8.5/10. Discovered this place by word of mouth. Even though it’s 10-15 mins drive away and cost a bit more than other pizzerias, the quality speaks for itself. The toppings are double amount on Raimo’s Special vs other pizzeria special pies. Sauce isn’t too sweet and seasoned very well. Right amount of cheese. The crust has a nice flavor. First time we had the special, the crust was a bit under cooked, second time it’s cooked perfectly. We will be regulars here.

I’ve probably been here about twenty times now and have loved every visit. The grandpa slice is my favorite and my wife usually gets the eggplant parm slice. Sometimes we go crazy and get a slice with pasta on it too. Love the choices.

I have been going to this pizzera since I was a child. Honestly, you cant find another sicilian pie like Raimo's sicilian on LI. Some of the staff have been working here for years making it even more enjoyable when I visit. They always remember me! The prices are high but you definitely wont be disappointed. I would highly recommend!

The food here is wonderful with the pizza being especially amazing. We also had Fettuccine Alfredo and a few other pasta dishes as well and while it was quite tasty, we were a bit disappointed in how little sauce was on the pasta dishes. Felt like they skimped on the sauce. Still, well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Hands down, the best sauce on the Island and the best eggplant and eggplant slices. Great salads too and a great, friendly staff. I drive 20 miles just for their food. It's worth the trip! I just downgraded this review. The last two times I went to Raimo's, the sauce was not as good and for some reason, the eggplant, both on the slice and in the hero was full of hard seeds and unappetizing. I don't know if that's the result of a different type of eggplant used or a change in prep or cook but its definitely different. I hope whatever changed goes back to the way it used to be. Well, I went back again, eggplant was back to perfection. I don't know what was wrong the last time but now it's fixed. Sauce is not quite as sweet as it used to be so we are at 4 stars. Get the sauce back and we'll be back to 5. Stay tuned.

I don't know, my last few visits here have not been what I have come to expect of Raimos. Even when I worked at a different pizza place, I would outright tell my boss "Ramos has the best." Unfortunately, It just doesn't taste the same. Last time was super heavy on the garlic. The time before, it just wasn't the perfect level of cooked I have come to expect of them. Maybe it was just a two off. Don't get me wrong I still highly suggest, their food is great, but, still... disappointing.

I have been going here since the place first opened back in 1976 or 77 I think. I was around 14 then. The owner, Sal, always was consistant with the recipe. Always great service & great pizza. I live out of town & always stop for a couple of slices when I am in the area. My last visit I realized there is new owners. I guess Sal packed it in after over 40 years, good for him. The pizza was still the same. Beautiful. I hope the new owners will keep it up with good pizza & service. Sal built a wonderful business, keep it going..... Best of luck...

Convenient and close to home. I wish I could remember the guys name that is great. The sauce recipe is not good. The ravioli and lasagna are buried in sauce and the lasagna is a tiny portion. Should have returned the food.

Food taste good. That's about it!! But, if you like mushroom lover? I do not recommend here. I'm mushroom lover so I know it was from the can 🥫 or fresh one. Most of time they used from the can.

Decent selection of pizza, perhaps too cheesy and greasy for some (myself in particular) but staff is friendly and service is quick.

Everybody thinks that they know the best pizza place. Problem is that everybody likes different types of pizza. Thick, thin, saucy, cheesy, doughy, crispy. Raimo's is my favorite pizza in the Plainview, Hicksville area. They have a nice selection of pies with good quality toppings. I have not been impressed with any of their cooked dishes. Bland sauce and not much taste to pasta dishes. Stick with the pizza.

I was disappointed in my $18.00 "Sicilian" Greek salad. It was mostly iceberg lettuce.

A decent takeout experience. My husband and I ordered individual pies from Raimo's Pizza for lunch, and while they were filling (we couldn't finish the second pie!), the taste was just alright. The order process was smooth, but note that they don't accept Apple Pay. Overall, it was a solid, middle-of-the-road experience. If you're in the area and craving pizza, it'll do the trick, but don't expect to be blown away. 3/5 stars!

Had pizza the week before and it was really good. Ordered a parm dinner with pasta and salad to go yesterday. Salad was limp and boring, who uses canned olives anymore?. The pasta and parm would have been great if not for their closingly sweet marinara sauce. Had to rinse the pasta....

Pizza is great here. I wouldn’t order a hero from here again though. One tiny thin piece of grilled chicken on my hero, next to no mozzarella and peppers. Plenty of lettuce though. Very disappointed and will now only order pizza from here.

Please be careful when ordering from this restaurant.. I was in there tonight and the owner was extremely nasty me and my wife went in there and I had walked out to the car and he didn’t know she was my wife, and the news was on and he turned around to me and said so you voting for Trump this year, I said sir I don’t want to speak about any politics and he said I’ll take it your very uneducated and walked away and was laughing

I got there an hour and a half before close and wanted to order a few slices of pizza. No one in the staff was friendly, or kind minus the female cashier. They all looked miserable and none were personable and couldn’t even crack a smile. They were closing up shop like they were closing in 5 minutes and I felt rushed making my order and when I did get my order, my pizza was thrown on top of each other in a much smaller box than what my order needed and some of my slices were squished together messed up as a result. My fiance’s family owns a pizza restaurant out of state and I’ve never seen such unfriendly service at a “family friendly” restaurant. I understand the grueling nature of the service industry but this soured my experience. Too bad because it is indeed good food.

Would give them beyond negative if I could....don’t like cheese and substituted for a small amount of lettuce and tomatoes...a $8.95 hero turned into an $13.35 meal. Mind you I didn’t order the eggplant parm, I got eggplant with lettuce and tomato...I have ordered this three times so far and when I saw my statement I was shocked...called the place and the owner rudely tells me it’s an up charge....so I’m guessing taking out the marinara and the cheese costs almost $4 extra....so I asked if I can get a refund or store credit and he refused. Such a shame and so petty.....lost a customer

We have been going to Ramos since it first opened years ago...It was always the best pizza by far. We would bring friends from other areas and everyone loved the pizza.. Several months ago Sal the original owner sold the business to one of his workers..Since he had worked there many years we assumed the quality of the food would remain the same...Unfortunately that is not the case..The pizza is no longer outstanding. It’s just like any other pizza .It is so disappointing .We tried it several times hoping it was just a fluke. It wasn’t. One evening we ordered chicken parmigiana.The chicken was so tough it was hard to chew the sauce was watered down... We will no longer take the extra time to go there when it is no better then the local pizza shop near my home...

The owner is disgusting and has a horrible attitude I would not recommend giving this guy any business at all, he is very ungrateful to his customers. And then he has so immigrant lady who answers the phone who can’t even speak English… and to be 100% completely honest the pizza don’t have much taste at all. Steer clear from this place. Also one of there old workers told me that he leaves the food out all night and serves it the next day

I ordered 2 pasta dishes and boy they were horrible. Sauce tasted like candy it was so sweet and the pasta was over cooked. Won't order from here ever again. Refund would be nice.

THE NEW OWNERS ARE HORRIBLE AND NASTY… don’t give this place any of your money… if you want pizza with an overload of pizza and a crust with no taste then order from here… the guy who works the front is a nasty old man who is miserable, and they wonder why they are barely making it to make ends meet… they use poor quality ingredients for the cheese mix… all the speciality pie ingredients sit out all night, and if you saw the way they handle the chicken you would run.. and to top it all off they have roaches in the kitchen area.

Ordered a pizza over an hour ago....they messed up the address, charged my card and apparently my pizza went somewhere else. W Ordered from here all the time....WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN. If my card is not refunded we are going to have a problem.

This is my second time buying food from here. The service and attitude of workers are unwelcoming and disturbing as was the first experience. The pizza is okay nothing special that other pizzerias don’t have. Will not be returning or spending my bucks here again.

When I first walked into Raimos of Hicksville the owner was at the counter asking me what I wanted in an unfriendly tone of voice. He gives you a look like he is looking you over, but in an uncomfortable way. He is very abrupt and curt with his interaction with all customers. Going forward, he really needs an attitude adjustment if he wants to have a successful business.
