Beijing House is easily our go-to spot in Tampa for Chinese — specifically Sichuan — food. We’re never disappointed when we go, the food and service is excellent — you can’t go without trying their Spicy Wontons in Chili Oil, Tao’s Beef Burrito, Cumin Lamb or Beef, or their Griddle-Cooked entrees. We love it so much, we hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here to give our family and friends from out of town a taste of one of our favorite spots!
this place is SOO good! this is my second time coming here and the servers are great and the food is amazing! my mom and i loved it here! they are pretty busy which i totally understand because the place is that great! please check it out if you get the chance! the dishes are definitely meant to be shared so keep that in mind the portions are pretty big! we got the bok choy in a sauce, oyster balls, beef tripe boil? (i forgot the name), another soup, honey chicken and you cannot forget about that lychee iced tea! all wonderful options!
This was our first time at the Beijing House after several recommendations for an authentic Chinese restaurant. The restaurant is not very big and it’s modestly decorated but the staff is really friendly. We eat out a lot and enjoy Chinese food so we were looking forward to our lunch. We got the .Spicy Wontons in Chili Oil as an appetizer, it was perfectly cooked and had the right amount of spiciness. My wife had the Mongolian beef and I had General Tso’s chicken. The beef was tender, not fatty and seasoned well. The chicken was also very tasty and authentic. The portions were pretty large and we had leftovers. If you like real Chinese food we recommend you give it a shot.
Just had an incredible meal at Beijing Restaurant in Tampa, and I can’t stop raving about their Smoked Duck—it’s hands down the best I’ve had in the area! The skin was perfectly crispy, shattering lightly with each bite, while the meat inside stayed juicy, tender, and packed with rich, smoky flavor that wasn’t overpowering. The service was warm and efficient too—our food arrived quickly, and the staff checked in just enough to make sure we were happy without being intrusive. The restaurant had a cozy, welcoming vibe that made the whole meal feel like a nice escape. If you’re craving authentic, high-quality Chinese food in Tampa, don’t miss this spot—especially the smoked duck. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
Surprised me when I put the food in my mouth, so yummy. We ordered tofu seafood pot and fried lamb, I did not expect too good, I even think that’s precooked and microwave heated. Of course not, cooker fresh cooked very well, it’s really really good, thank you so much!😀 sorry for the empty plate photo, it’s too late to take the photo when I realized that
Don’t let the area deter you, this place is a hidden gem. So glad my boyfriend took me here for the first time! The lunch special is phenomenal for 8.95 you get a side and a drink! The atmosphere is beautiful also, decor and the waitress we had was very friendly. Definitely recommend this place!
Moved down to FL from the east coast not to long ago and my family been looking for a Chinese dine in place that is on par with the places in Philly. I'm happy to say we found it! The food is reasonably priced, come out hot and crispy and full of flavor! The staff was busy given it was dinner time but friendly and helpful once you get their attention. Definitely will be coming back! I recommend the salted fish/calamari/shrimp!
Great food choices, hot fresh and delicious. Been here once years ago, it was great then and it still is
Very tasty overall — a little oily, but still full of flavor.
Great little Asian Restaurant. Clean. Friendly. Quality food. Reasonable prices. The Hot and Soup Soup was nicely prepared with good flavor and texture. A touch of soy sauce made it perfect. The Tea Smoked Duck was tender and flavorful. Looking forward to my next visit for some excellent NY Style Chinese food.
Went here for the first time with my friend while we were in the area, and it was amazing. I got the lunch special general tso's chicken with fried rice and a mango iced tea for $8.95. We added on an appetizer of takoyaki, and the golden yuzu beignets, both of which were amazing. The prices are also great for when you're trying not to break the bank, which is why we wanted to stop by here. The atmosphere is lovely, and our server was very kind. Definitely recommend and would come here again if and when i'm back in the area.
Some of the best chinese food in the area, without a doubt. I order takeout from here frequently and dine in with coworkers and family. The service is always super attentive, the prices are unbeatable, and the general tso’s chicken is the BEST I have ever had. Their lunch specials are perfect, only $9 for an entree, side, AND drink. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant . A must try if you’re in the area, especially if you’re a USF student looking for some amazing chinese food.
I love this place! During the pandemic, they only do take out only, but since they are open to dine in. I gave it a try! The service is super friendly and welcoming! The food came out one at a time so you can enjoy! Their soups so delicious and comfort to the soul! I love all the entree because the food tasted very savory. The fire cracker shrimp tasted so good with the price and the presentation of it is a plus! It’s located at a busy part of town, but totally recommend it! There’s a lot of tables and the environment is beautiful.

It's very hard finding good Chinese food in the tampa area, but this is our new spot. The food was great and the staff was very nice. They were busy today, but our waitress was very kind and the food was on point. I believe it was the owner, gave my son a toy just to be nice. We will absolutely come back.
Food quality is always great and the service is great. very quiet and peaceful place if we come early.

Their food is perfection 👌The homemade noodles are light and filling but not over full. Spicy won tons are a fine level of spice. The Mongolian beef is something out of this world with just the right sauce level. Their duck, fantastic. Their lamb, fantastic. Everything we tasted was on another level of fine cuisine and my husband and son both are professional chefs, very impressed 👌
The food here is so amazing! The place is super clean, I always come back for more. My favorites are the bang bang shrimp and the griddle chicken packs a punch! Everyone that works here is so nice and happy. Most authentic and tastiest food!
First time visit for my daughter and I. The experience was very positive from our first interaction with the staff. The inside was very clean (unfortunately I did not visit the restroom), the staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the mango tea and our orders were served in a very timely manner. The presentation was good and the food was very tasty. My daughter and I will definitely revisit to try some of the other items on the menu. Beijing House is Certified Tasty!
Cute atmosphere. It's a different style than china yuan and yummy house. Not bad pricing. I like the fact that you can upgrade to fried rice or noodles other than white rice for like a dollar or two... they have dishes with these small spices that actually either kinda numbing or changes the flavor. I drank water and it tasted like lemon. This was in the fish soup with braised pickled greens.

I recently visited Beijing House and tried a variety of dishes. The honey chicken, beef burrito, and buffalo chicken roll were all standout items. Each had great flavor and was perfectly cooked. However, the mango tea didn't quite live up to expectations. The mango flavor was faint and had an artificial taste. On the positive side, the customer service was excellent. The staff was polite, attentive, and made sure everything was going well throughout the meal. Overall, I’d recommend the food, but I’d skip the mango tea next time.

Food has always been delish and cute place! But they run SO SLOW on getting you takeout order or seating people. Need more staff cleaning tables so that the lady up front can handle the mob up front and seat people quicker. Instead she is doing it all.
Met my uncle and his wife here for lunch on Tuesday on our way down to Fort Myers. We let my uncles wife and daughter pick out the dishes since they are from China. They picked out some spicy dishes which my son and I enjoyed. My wife and daughter dont do spicy foods. The pork belly and the lo mein were delicious as were the salt and pepper fish and shrimp. Server didnt bring out our drinks until half our food was out. Didn't remember what we ordered.
The raving reviews sent us in the direction of Beijing House and I was very excited to try some delicious, authentic Chinese food! The hostess at the front told me the chicken dishes were very popular and ordered the most, so that’s what we went with! We ordered pan fried dumplings which were cooked very well but barely seasoned and more cabbage than pork, and the sauce that comes with the dumplings was terrible- tasted like soy sauce and tons of wine. (2/5) The Krab Rangoon were the absolute best I’ve ever had in the Tampa area and I would come back to Beijing House just for those!!! Creamy and fried to perfection like it should be! (5/5 ❤️) My husband ordered General Tso chicken with broccoli and fried rice ($3 extra charge) The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was nice, not as spicy as they say it is though. Broccoli was steamed but still very crunchy. Fried rice was OK- greasy and a little bland. (3.5/5) I ordered the Sesame Chicken with broccoli and lo mein noodles ($3 extra charge). Chicken was cooked perfectly with a light, sweet sauce covered in sesame seeds. Pretty typical, nothing special. Broccoli was steamed but still a little crunchy. Lo mein noodles were tossed in a brown sauce and topped with sesame seeds, but were really undercooked. I picked up the entire stack of noodles with my fork. I wanted to love them, but they weren’t good. (3/5) Our server took awhile to greet us and get us waters after sitting down, but she was kind and polite and attentive after ordering. The atmosphere was inviting. Meals are a tad over priced for the quality, of the sides especially. Overall, we’d come back for chicken and krab rangoons.

We went there around 2:00 in the afternoon, and ordered the lunch special. The restaurant decorations were cute. However, It took them 35 minutes to get our two simple orders out on our table. My dish with lo mein was completely cold. They took it back and gave it back to me in 5 minutes. The stir fried chicken was warm but the lo mein was still cold just like it’s been sitting there more than an hour or so. The service was slow and not very responsive. In about three hours after our lunch, we both felt discomfort in our stomach. There may be something wrong with the food… Unfortunately, I don’t think I would like to go back to this restaurant again.
Found this place through social media & decided to give it a try. Spent about $90 trying lots of items on the menu. Absolutely disappointed. Eggplant was extremely greasy. Rice didn't taste right either, not sure how they messed up white rice. Sauce amount for steamed dumplings must have been low because the sauce cup was barely filled. Food lacked flavor! Extremely disappointed, I will not not be returning & definitely wouldn't recommend. If you must try, only get the spicy wonton. That's the only thing that had some flavor.

Don’t understand how people can praise this place . My food was subpar at best . The wontons in the wontons soup were so soft they fell apart when trying to eat them . Spring rolls about as small as my thumb. Cold chicken lo mien with very little meat . And thin sliced beef with black pepper was all fat and grizzle . Will not be returning. $50 went in the garbage.
