Bodacious Bar-B-Q

This has to be the best Bodacious I have ever eaten at. They have a huge selection of items on their menu and everything I have eaten is good. My husband and son eat here at least once a week. Ps. I drive from Marshall to eat at this one.

Best bar-b-que in town. We got the #2 Bo pack which included 1.5 pounds of chopped beef, 1 lb of hot link, 3 sides and 8 buns. It was more than enough to feed 8 people for $55 +tax.

Great place to eat in Tatum. Friday night rib-eye steaks are the best: They cater steaks too. Other times most people will tell you best bar-b- q place around. choice of lots of meats. Will do a child's portion plate if you ask.

Had the Thursday special - 1/2 lb of ribs, fries and small drink. They let me substitute fried okra for the French fries at no extra charge and it was delicious! They have Sonic ice too!!!

Mr. Kurt and Mr Tate are always happy to serve you up a plate of their great bar b q. Friendly smiles and kind service that feels really sincere to me. Keep up the good work ☺️

Bodacious is never a disappointment. If you're hungry for good barbeque, whether it's beef, turkey, pork, link sausage or ribs, head to Bodacious. And you can order a baked potato as "dressed" or "naked" as you like.

Came in for quarters!!ended getting a sliced beef sandwich all was awesome!! Even went into the to go order and ate some more couldn't get enough !!!! Lol

Have been eating barbeque from this company for years. I've never gotten any bad food at any time. It is really good.Stopped in today headed to Dallas, got a sliced beef sandwich and the wife got a chopped beef sandwich. Mine was extremely good as it was flvored just right, moist, and had just the right amount of fat mixed in. Add the sauce, pickles, and onions, and I also add mayo to the buns. It had to be the best I've eaten in a while. My wife said hers was good also. The potato salad was good. Stopped by there today to get lunch. A sliced BBQ sandwich with potato salad and she got 2 chicken quarters with potato salad. Man was it good. Great job Bodacious.

Great food. Love the Monday tacos. They usually run out of chopped beef or coleslaw on Mondays. The service can be a little slow at times. I wait or I call ahead. The food is so good. The people are nice, too.

Bodacious is always good barbecue. This time I did not enjoy it as much as I have other locations. I can't say for sure it was their food though. Sometimes the mood is just not right I guess. Anyway I had indigestion problems for several hours after my meal.

I wanna rate 5 star so badly because this is my local BBQ joint but I can't do it. The main reason is customer service. Each time I visit, I don't feel welcomed. The employees are always short (not physically) in speaking and not very informative of the menu options. It's always someone new at the register who's possibly "still learning" but still. As for the food, it's great which is why I continue to go back.

Got here at 5pm. No Baked potatoes. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich. Meat was cold, hardly any flavor. Rib plate special. Thursday night. Was delicious. Bottle caps, fried jalapenos, very spicy hot. No one behind counter wearing masks.

Wife and I got the ribeye steak. It was ok but times before it was better. Steak was rare instead of medium rare. Was Not as good a quality steak as we got before, seems like they were not as thick. Good flavor.

BUT the sign out by the road clearly states that they have chicken and it does not specify any particular days that it is served, so that is EXTREMELY misleading! And I am sure once I make this post, they will change their sign out by the road to specify WHICH days they ACTUALLY sell chicken! So anyway, I order my food, pay and get my drink and I sit down and wait for my order..... I see several people come in after me that place their orders and get their drinks as well and sit down with their drinks to wait on their orders as well. I begin to see after about 5, maybe 7 minutes, that 6 people that came in AFTER me, have began to get their orders delivered to their table. At first first I did not say anything, but then when I noticed that 5 more people that came in AFTER me, got their food, then I began to wonder if maybe I got overlooked?? And I was NEVER told at the time I made my order that there would be any longer wait time than normal, so this really had me confused. So after about 15 minutes, I decided I would go ask if maybe my order had been forgotten, or what??? The lady behind the counter told me, it's coming right out. So my response was okay. I go sit down and wait once again. About 7 minutes later, I get my order. I NEVER once was checked on, AFTER I got my food, by the ladies or men, working there, while I was there, to see if my food was to my satisfaction or if I needed anything. However, everyone that was seated in the tables around me, the ones that came in AFTER me, yeah those folks, they were asked if their food was to their satisfaction, did they need anything else, did they need any dessert, did they need any ice, napkins, etc..... This is absolutely ridiculous! I'm very glad I have this forum to voice my opinion and give my reviews so that others can see how some people are treated. Bodacious Barbecue you should be ASHAMED!

Working a job at the dg and we ordered bbq. Got the food and smelled like warmed up dog food. Found hair in the food. Not just a few hairs, clumps of hair. When they were told about it we were told to pick it out. They eventually did refund it but why would you have people working there that are like that?

The food is good but the past two times me and my family have ordered for family get togethers and they give us hardly any BBQ sauce. Doesn’t seem right when we are spending over $100 dollars for food... even when we buy regular meals for $15-$17 they are so stingy with BBQ sauce it’s ridiculous. For a $20 plate we should get a good amount of sauce. Everytine I’ve been the customer service has not been good, I believe the last time I was there the employees were talking bad to each other and smart mouthing each other. They had too many employees just standing around not doing anything and maybe 1 or 2 people actually working. This is the local BBQ place in this city, but I would rather drive 30+ minutes for better customer service and food! I’m from Tatum but that doesn’t mean this type of service is acceptable, local or not!!

Worst bodacious I been two wont ever go back it made me and wife sick hours later we stayed up all night pooping I ordered a sandwich plate with sliced beef and only got sliced beef no bun it was tough and nasty

The place smells like cigarette smoke... we ordered 70 dollars worth of food and it was the absolute worst food ... the fish was battered it sugar or some crap IT WAS DISCUSTING... Even the fries were sweet .... the kids wouldn't even touch the mac and cheese nor the tenders.... the brisket was dry... ribs were tough... the sausage tasted like bologna links.... wouldn't recommend and will not be back..... they dont even check with you once you get your food....
