Opinions de Fire-Fish Sushi & More Temecula
This place was AMAZING!!! Food was fantastic. Especially the miso soup and fresh nigiri salad. It was a perfect blend of modern and traditional. 5 star!!👍👍
Arguably the best sushi in Temecula. It is always a delight to go an eat there.
So creative, absolutely delicious and fresh at such reasonable prices. What a gem in Temecula! NYNY roll - monster roll - battle roll - yuzu sake - fresh wasabi - paradise roll - all in one roll - spicy garlic edamame
Just went for the first time. It was so delicious, we devoured everything before I could take a photo! The no rice rolls were AMAZING. The millionaire sauce? Drinkable. Get it and dip everything in it! Cannot wait to come back!
Best sushi I've had in a long time! Many of the sushi places taste the same and are not any better than grocery store deli spots. But, Fire-Fish in Temecula is phenomenal! Worth it! I've been twice in a month now! Great service, no obnoxious loud music that you can't talk over. HIGHLY recommend!
Best sushi I’ve had in a long time. Tasted fresh. We will definitely be back.
Other than the tempura vegetables, everything on the menu has been outstanding. Without a doubt, this is the best sushi in Temecula.
Excellent quality, wonderful customer service, clean joint. This place has quality sushi. My husband and I are kinda picky with sushi, and the sushi here is very fresh. We had absolutely no fishy flavor whatsoever. We’ve only ever found one other sushi place down here in socal that we like so much so far, and that’s sushi roku! This place is much nicer priced than that, however the sushi is very comparable, and that’s saying something. Definitely give this place a try! 🥰
Awesome Sushi!! If you are looking for beach level sushi this is the place to go. From the Servers, to the Chef, and the atmosphere - it was a great experience!
The food and service were really good! The server understood gluten free and suggested items on the menu for me. They have tamari (gluten free soy sauce) which was so nice! Most of the rolls could be made GF by getting the sauce on the side. They also have a California roll (next Cali roll) made with real crab! It was amazing! We got complimentary miso soup to start. The edamame was a bit overcooked in my opinion. The seaweed salad was very good and refreshing. The yellowtail slam was also very good!
Best Sushi in the area. So fresh and good. Great service!! My new go-to sushi spot.
Hands down, one of the best sushi spots in town! As someone who’s always on the go showing homes and negotiating deals, I’m constantly on the lookout for places that deliver not just quality food, but an experience—and Fire-Fish Sushi & More nails it. The fish is incredibly fresh, the presentation is on point, and every roll feels like it was crafted with care. The staff? Super friendly and attentive. I especially appreciate how fast they are, without ever making the meal feel rushed—perfect for a lunch between appointments or a relaxing dinner after a long day in real estate. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Fire-Fish deserves to be on your must-try list. From one professional who values excellence: this place is a gem. – Dante Coz The Realtor® Temecula/Murrieta Real Estate | eXp Realty
Can't go wrong with this place. Great service, awesome vibe and the food is absolutely delicious. We had several rolls, a bento box and some appetizers. The sushi chefs are absolutely amazing and the service is fast and quick very friendly. Love this place.
Good sushi we had it take it because it was pretty busy.
The husband and I have eaten here a couple times. Always been great. We went there yesterday and it was lovely as always. I love how they immediately serve miso soup. Atmosphere great and the service as well!! 👍🏾 the photos I've posted are of the CIA, baked mussels and albacore Mediterranean!!! All were tasty!!!
This place is really good. I'm from Las Vegas so I don't really know the good places in San Diego but went by the reviews and am glad I did. They have awesome lunch specials for a really great price. The atmosphere is average for a sushi place, nothing great, but not bad either. Service was good, prices are good and the food was great.
Great sushi in Temecula!! I tried sashimi and crunchy rolls. Edamame is awesome!! Must try!! Service was good and quick.
Oh my, you wouldn’t expect such magnificent sushi in such a relatively landlocked area, but fire fish never fails to amaze me! Their menu is huge, and the range of fish they offer is enormous. Multiple eel rolls (my favorite) and tons of amazing options including jumbo scallop. I ordered the black dragon, jojo roll, 2 eel sushi, and a jumbo scallop nigiri- my co-diners ordered a refreshing roll, the battle roll, and the lunch sushi set. I would eat any of these again- everything was so fresh and delicious. Some sushi spots are stingy with their eel, but not fire fish! I will be back every time I come to Temecula.
First time here and we were highly impressed over everything. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. The waiters and waitresses were friendly and patient (they had to explain some of the menu), and our food came out quickly. I would recommend the Japanese nachos.

Best Sushi place in the area. I and my Wife are Italian and picky on food, glad we got to finally found a restaurant that satisfied us 100%. Amazing food, we had a bit of everything to try, people are really nice and Fast in the service, beautiful atmosphere, perfect for romantic, work or family dinner. Will go back !
This is probably the best Sushi in IE. Certainly in the 215 coridor of Riv. Co. Service is always great, sushi is amazing and the selection isn't overwhelmed with imitation crab like most of the other places in the area. I would give them ten stars if I could.
My fiancée & I are foodies & travel a lot & eat at several places. This is by far one of the best sushi places we’ve had. Everything is so fresh! The service is amazing & we love how they automatically give you miso soup to enjoy right when you sit down. This place is a little hidden gem.
Fast casual sushi spot off of Ynez, right by AMC theater. We came on a Monday night and it was fairly busy with hungry customers. Our server recommended the yuzu sake that we loved and ordered two bottles. We enjoyed some miso soup before ordering salmon nigiri, super fresh cuts and also a baked mountain roll, which was basically a California roll with extra toppings 🤠 I would come back to try more of their rolls again!
Friendly staff and super welcoming owner. Pretty Much Best sushi in Temecula. Highlights: 3 millionaires roll and Mediterranean Albacore. Newly renovated with cool feel to it. Highly recommend it.

all things considered, the food is quite good. the only reason I'm docking a star is some dishes like one of their chef's specials (Joann special, pictured) would be absolutely stellar if they hadn't drenched it in soy sauce making it overly salty (a complete no no in Japan!) - the least they could have done is diluted it. This only told us they are catering to an American palate which is a shame as many of the dishes prove the restaurant is quite talented. I have to admit it was really nice to stumble upon Japanese craft beer made from Yuzu!🍺 🇯🇵
Great price and quality for sushi in Temecula! Service is pretty standard and the vibe is pretty chill. They have a good assortment of rolls and are all made pretty well. The ratio between the rice is good and not excessive too so well made. This is located in a plaza so a good amount of parking and there’s also 87 Deg Bakery that is worth checking out to grab some stuff afterwards.
I thought the sushi was good for Temecula standards! The rice on the rolls were a little much but overall still fresh. The ramen is fairly basic (fine for us); no egg, seaweed, scallion, etc. Just wish the broth was less salty. Overall, not bad for a local sushi spot. Prices were reasonable and service was very good. Would return.
A good sushi place whose quality is not bad but the price is good, and the service is speedy and stellar. There is a great deal of sushi places all over, but this one is quite good for a quick bite. The inside is a bit small compared to the outside and they don’t have any sushi bar seats which can be a highlight. They brought out drinks and some free miso soup to start, we ordered off their large menu (both sides), and got some sushi and appetizers. Everything came out quickly, and they constantly checked on us. The sushi was pretty good but the hand rolls just sort of fell apart and they did mess up a couple of the sushi items but they fixed it very quickly. So overall not a bad place, the prices are very reasonable, they have a good range of rolls and sushi, and everything was fresh.
Update 5/10/25 5🌟 Saturday for lunch. Not too busy. Only 2 servers but very fast and friendly service. All my food arrived quickly! Large pieces of sashimi. Nice place but at lunch today I'm not sure if the AC was working as it was very warm in the restaurant. Service was attentive and friendly, but it was not busy at lunch time. Had the lunch bento of teriyaki Salmon and sashimi. The food tasted fresh but the sashimi could have been sliced thinner and the teriyaki salmon had a tough crust. The beer was cold and served with a chilled glass. It did seem to take a while for lunch to come from the kitchen but those getting only sushi had their lunches well before anybody from the kitchen. Despite the small negatives this is still a place worth visiting.

They need to review the ADA laws regarding service animals. A service animal is not required to sit outside, and is allowed anywhere public is allowed, including in the main dining area. My son with special needs has preferences to sit in a booth and they only allow us to sit in the back portion of the restaurant with no booths. I would happily raise their rating if they were to not discriminate against the disabled but for now till they figure out the actual law, it will remain a 3.
Staff was really nice, atmosphere is good. Food was really underwhelming.
I love the sushi here. I usually get takeout, because I’m blown away by the fact that they have a sushi bar and refuse to serve at it. Claiming COVID was the reason is fine, if you’re talking about the past. Using it as an excuse, for not wanting to deal with the public at your bar, is unacceptable. Would’ve been a 5 star if you’d just open back up your actual sushi bar for business.
I ordered a roll with mango because a picture on their menu looked really good. The mango was unripe, thin, and had no flavor. It was more like eating sushi with pieces of apple instead of mango. Definitely not worth what I paid.
My partner and I used to love eating here, but we won't be coming back anymore. When you dine in, it's usually pretty good, but the last few times, we have had to order take out and both times it was awful. Our $60+ order food (not including the tip) was bland, didn't taste right, and completely fell a part. The rice was mushy and the rolls crumbled a part making a mess. This happened the last time too, but we thought it was a one time thing and gave them another shot. The rolls didn't taste right either, one was a crunch and the other was a fresh fish roll. Usually the crunch roll is amazing, but this time it was really bad. Our shrimp fried rice was bland and flavorless as well. The rice was still partially white and it wasn't as big of a serving like usual. I'm not sure what has happened over the past few months here, but I hope it gets better.
The service was perfect but i got violently sick after eating here.
I really wanted to like this restaurant and had been looking forward to trying it out for a while. Finally was able to go for an early dinner with my son on a Thursday evening and had a less than stellar experience unfortunately. We were seated right away and the restaurant was only half full. My son ordered a California roll and lemonade and I ordered an eel hand roll and shrimp tempura crunchy spicy tuna roll with tempura flakes and eel sauce. When our food was served the tempura flakes on my roll were extremely stale and had no crunch. I informed my server politely and she apologized and took the roll back to the sushi chefs for a remake. I could see the interaction from where I was sitting and the chefs looked visibly annoyed at having to remake the roll. A new roll was brought out to me about 5 minutes later but it was missing the shrimp tempura this time. When I politely informed my server she apologized again and took the roll back to the sushi chefs where another discussion took place with them glancing at me with obvious annoyance. She then brought the roll back to me and argued that this was the roll I had ordered. I informed her that it was not, I had ordered a shrimp tempura spicy tuna roll and she said she would see what she could do. My son had to use the bathroom so we got up from the table so I could take him and left our things at the table and were gone for a few minutes. When we returned our plates had been cleared including part of the roll my son was still eating. Another server brought the same wrong roll back to me for the third time and argued with me that this spicy tuna roll was the roll I had ordered. I politely said it was not, this was my first time dining there and it was becoming a frustrating experience and I just wanted the correct roll I ordered. She finally relented to try to fix the situation and walked back to the sushi chefs. At this point I was embarrassed and over the whole experience and asked to cancel the roll and for my check. I don't know if this was just an off night for them or bad communication but I truly am so disappointed with this experience.
I’ve been a customer here since 2018. I went out of my way to support them during covid. Today I ordered a little over $100 of sushi and hot chicken Fried Rice for delivery and they jammed it all in one bag with the hot fried rice on the bottom. I called the restaurant about the hot sushi and all they could say was we don’t usually do that period. Silence. No sorry. No what was your order. No how can we make this right. It was too bad so sad. Something has changed here - new owners maybe. Whatever. They now feature hot sushi and garbage service. Good bye.
We were in town for the 1st time and decided to come in for dinner. There is 1 sign thats says"wait to be seated" no other sign anywhere to sign in. There was no one in the front to greet the customers or even just say "hey one moment please ill be right with you". I guess it was their reopening night but it doesn't justify that a customer wasnt greeted or sat down to a table. One couple was waiting in front of us and we were next. A lady ran in and went to the desk and wrote her name on a note pad. Which no one said please sign in or there was no sign to say sign in please to be seated. Server came over and just called who ever was on the paper and didn't question anything, the ladies name was on the list and of course they sat her down. I couldn't believe that they didn't question anything even tho they saw my family there before her. Definitely not a place for me to try to go back to. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
Feel like it was overpriced. I ordered the C.I.A. ($21. The menu has white-out on it and I looked on several other menus and they all look like it says 10.98 but it's 20.98???) and when it arrived, I was like..."that's it??" (Even for 10.98) Unfiltered sake ($16). Also, it felt like I was bothering the server. She couldn't get away from my table fast enough. I had a big glass of water and I think she knew I was bothered so she asked if I wanted more water. I hadn't even finished my first one. Why would I want more water? I guess so she can say she checked on me? Additionally, after I ordered, she asked if I wanted to keep the menu. It was awkward because I couldn't really understand but I'm guessing that's what she asked. But then, as soon as my food came out, she took my menu?? So confused... The food was actually decent but not 50 dollars decent. Oh well. I'm sitting here after getting the check and waiting for them to take my card. I've been waiting.... and waiting. Service is horrible. Food is OK but its overpriced. Sorry. But I'm either paying for great service or good value. This is neither. Hard pass
If you like rice and don't like fish , come here. It was the worst sushi we have ever had. Pre cut slices of fish that were razor thin in the display case. A major no no for sushi. We got 3 orders of salmon cut roll and you could barely see the fish. We sent our rolls back to be remade. They were better but we thick with rice. We had to remove rice it was so densely coated. This restaurant was a major disappointment. We won't be back. Please see attached pis.
