Opinions de Mr. Kabob Mediterranean Grill Temecula
Incredible Mediterranean restaurant with reasonable prices, plus they have an amazing Mediterranean market with fantastic prices. I accidently spent about $100 in the market AFTER eating, because the prices were so great. A lot of products from Lebanon, Palestine, Turkey, Syria, and more! They had pita bread, and fresh Mediterranean meat, as well as deserts. Both my friend and I spent about $20 on our lunch but they were extremely filling.
Our family feels Mr Kabob's food is super tasty! Their bone-in chicken leg/thigh (#3) & their shrimp plate are scrumptious!! My husband likes the gyro plate. We always order the yummy meat kibeh's and I add the one-visit salad bar to my dish. Their rice is very good, but we sometimes ask for extra hummus to sub for it (less carbs). Family owned and run. They have a small connected Mediterranean food store inside to the right of the restaurant. The 100% natural fruit juices from the fridges there we've purchased before. 😃👍
Enjoyed my gyro and hummus. Very flavorful and filling. Prices were extremely reasonable. Highly recommended! There is an attached store with some great offerings.
Loved it I had the sherma mix with fries really big portions which is awesome I will definetiley be coming back ! 💞💞💞rich fresh flavor perfect rice and fresh everything ! It also included a salad bar plate 🎉over all I loved it

Mr. Kabob Mediterranean Grill is to die for !! EZ Moving Services stops by here every once in a while to get some good food !!
I love this place. Food always with good taste of freshness and also very nice people.
Great greek salad very friendly staff will be back to try other things
Delicious! Great chicken wrap! Fast service and great food! They even have a market inside!!!
My number one restaurant. So many different kind of fresh salads ( excellent).. So many choices of foods, lots of varieties, and their barbecue flavors are amazing. I would recommend it, without hesitation.
Nice Mediterranean food. Good price. The selection is great with plenty of healthy options too. Great place to pop in for a bite. The spicy hummus is a must!
Very tasty food, chicken, hummus, kabob, garlic paste very yummy, just I wish they would cook the rice with vermicelli & not with that yellow powder, then it will be 💯 Lebanese
Ghantous Transit...My husband and I truly enjoyed the wonderful food and wonderful customer service. So grateful for meeting Sarah, a beautiful soul inside and out.
Gyro and chicken shawarma were absolutely amazing. Friendly service, quick food turn out, and very clean facility. Looking forward to coming back
Love how good their food tastes, very clean. The only thing is I HATE THEIR HOURS ! Everytime I'm off work they're closing. Ita terrible. Wish they would stay open till atleast 10pm! 8 is so early....
love this place and its food. Benn coming here for some time now. the service is always polite and the food fresh. I referred a few friends here and they love it too.
I go here everyday I work. My friend Philip got me hooked on the hummus. It's very clean and the workers are also nice.
Wow!!! This food is really good. I will be back for sure. Chicken Kabob Plate is excellent. Thank you!
Awesome food, we have been eating here when ever we can, we love their kabobs, the rice is out of this world, wonderful people that serve you with a smile, what a great place. Harold R.
Mr kabob restaurant has excellent customer service. And our meal was absolutley delicious. We highly recommend.
I love this place! Food so fresh and full of flavor. The salad bar is great too!
THAT was the best tasting falafel sandwich I have had in California!! I just found my new favorite place.
The food is authentic and delicious. I love the market, packed with everything you need to cook authentic food.
I'm Lebanese and these guys make in my opinion one of the best Chicken Shawarma Sandwhiches! A+++ I keep coming back.
We’ve been coming here for years. It’s usually not busy but we come for the food. Great tasting food. Come support a great local restaurant and eat good food.
I love the food and the space! Rose she is attentive
Great food and staff! A bit hot in there, and the bathrooms stink when it's hot. Other than that, the food is awesome. The market has some good desserts in it too.
OUTSTANDING!!! First time in, was in Temecula looking at antiques and we love Mediterranean so decided to go in. Usually strip mall establishments leave a bad taste in my mouth, pardon the pun but the Chicken Shwarma sandwich was one of the best i have ever had! Thank you for the GREAT FOOD! Even bought some sesame seed candy which tasted great
Fresh, authentic food... Never had anything I didn't like and I've tried almost the whole menu. Plus the salad bar can't be beat and you can't find another middle Eastern grocery store in this area - a unique spot. Love it so much we are having them cater our wedding!
The food is out of this world great. The flavor is amazing and prepared to perfection. I have been eating here for years and it only gets better with each visit and cooked with Love and Soul! Compliments to the Chefs!!!
Great food, people, and experience. Went in late near closing time. Food took a little time but was worth the wait. Food is made fresh. I left my new iPhone over night and was freaking out. We returned the next morning an hour b4 they opened and a very kind gentleman let us in and took the time to help us find the phone. Thank you Mr Kabob!
Wow! My family and I were in the mood for some really good, flavorful, food and we found it at Mr. Kabobs. We had 4 orders of the chicken kabob, 1 order of the kafta kabob and 1 chicken cream chop plate. Each plate comes with salad, rice and pita then you get your choice if hummus, fries or onion rings. We got the spicy hummus! It is by far the best around. The chicken kabob was super tender, moist and flavorful. My wife said it's some if the best chicken she's ever had. My daughter loved the kafta kabob, it is ground beef with lots of flavor and different spices then placed on a kabob. We originally ordered the chicken cream chop out of curiosity but it will now be a family favorite. It is a breaded, marinated chicken breast. It was so good we ordered extra spicy hummus and garlic spread to go.
Awesome place to eat... staff is friendly and professional. I am always greeted promptly when I walk in and served almost immediately. Great place for dine in and or carry out. The new guy is pretty cool, professional and thorough.
This has been a family favorite for years. Prices are fair, consistent quality. They have a small market, so you can purchase other Mediterranean items, I'd suggest the garlic spread, it's AWESOME!
Excellent food, everything tastes fresh and all meats are juicy and tender. The best Mediterranean food I have experienced in California. The setting is casual and also includes a fairly large interesting grocery section.
I have tried all their specials , They have 2 a day and was never disappointed. The food is clean , The service is very good even when busy and my favorite part is the party plater # 2 , I feed my 9 guys every Saturday on that . Thank you for the good food.
Informal dining area. Greek and Mediterranean food. Good portions and authentic cuisine. Excellent little salad bar. They also have a little Deli area with all kinds of spices and middle Eastern dry and canned goods that are hard to find
Been going to this spot since 2012. Was my first schwarma experience and no place does it as good as here. I'll always be coming back, never had a bad experience. This restaurant has become an immutable part of my life and I'm glad to have shared it with family and friends.
Such delicious food. I prefer going here to eating winery food. You order and pay at the counter and seat yourself. They will bring the food to you. I like the Shawarma mix plate with side of onion rings and one salad bar visit. You can fill up your own soda. Lady working there gave us a deal since my wife and I ordered the same thing. Will always go here after wine tasting!
I ordered thru door dash and received awesome food. I'm ill and needed some soup and lunch for the kids. This was perfect! Soup was hot and delicious, the food was separated to prevent sogginess. Very nice delivery service especially from a third party. Thank you
Tried the Shish Tawook Sandwich here for lunch. It was very good, basically a marinated, grilled chicken sandwich with garlic sauce. Tomatoes and pickles also. I really liked what the pickles added to the overall flavor. The bread was not really a pita but a Persian variation of it. Very thin and a bit dry, a good vehicle for the other flavors. This is a Persian counter-service food place. They have a salad bar with lots of condiments which was looking a little tired halfway between lunch and dinner. Salad bar is a separate charge.. There is a surprisingly large area that is a grocery store for Persian and Middle Eastern provisions, including lots of bakery items. Didn't try those so I can't recommend but they looked good. Overall, a clean pleasant place with tasty food.
Great location. Lots of parking. Love their salad bar is amazing. Love their lamb shanks.

Amazing Greek food! I love their gyros and the hummus is super good. All around it's really high quality well made food.
The soup was very nice, the same was Greek salad. This is Lebanon cousin place. I would recommend to give it a try
I orderd #14, the shawarma mix plate with chicken and beef. With your combo plates, you also get rice, salad, pita PLUS a choice of either hummus, fries or onion rings! Instead of rice, I asked for double salad and i chose the hummus instead of the fries or onion rings. Seriously, that was a lot of food. So....the salad you get is actually from the salad bar. They give you a plate and you go to the salad bar and fill up with as much as you want. So technically, when i ordered "double" salad (to replace my rice), it made absolutely no sense! LOL The salad bar actually has a variety of options and you can seriously pile on as much as you want. But do note that you are only allowed to fill your plate once. My mix shawarma plate was delicious!!! The meat wasn't dry and full of flavor, the pita was nice and warm. There was so much food, I couldn't finish everything.
The food was great!! Lamb Chops were so tender. Chicken had great flavor. The salad bowls could have been replenished and the air conditioner was not working well. But, I would still eat here again.
A nice mom and pop shop with Pretty good food. It even had a great little convenience store attached with Mediterranean items. I found Lion Chocolate bars there which I have only seen in Europe. I'll definitely come back again if I'm in the area. Why not 5/5? - The fries tasted great but were a bit soggier than I care for. - the shawarma had great flavor but the wrap was okay. Nice flavor overall though.
We're not from this area and decided to try this place out. Nice and quiet atmosphere. Sarah was very friendly with smiles. She was very helpful with answering our questions and making suggestions including being very attentive to our needs while we dined. We had ordered the Kabob Combo #15 which came with long grain basmati rice, a side salad (dressed perfectly), a choice of fries/onion rings or hummus. We opted for hummus. Their tahini was to die for, and we asked for extra to take home with our take home food. Their flatbread is the thin crispy vs. the thick tender pita like. Flatbread went well with our Baba Ganoush and hummus. Would definitely come back when in the area. A two thumbs up recommendation!

Chicken kabob 10/10. Chicken shawarma 6/10. Steak 10/10. Fries 2/10. Gyro HORRIBLE. Seriously, inedible. Cool on-site European market
This used to be my favorite places. First let me start by saying the food still tastes really great. I ordered Shawerma plate which used to be 10 bucks and 14 but ok it came with a salad bar but I was cool with it. Go to salad bar and it's literally 5 pm on a Friday dinner hour just starting empty salad bar so I tell the girl and her answer is yeah we are always refilling. That answer is great if one or two items are empty but any way I sit down and my food arrives. Tasty but as I am sitting there eating my food over half the tables dirty and Salad bar is empty at 5 on a Friday I got a little irritated so I walk over to talk to th e owner who was working in a corner of the store. I explain the situation and rather than owning it he starts telling the name of the girl behind the register. Catostrophic fail....if you can't do the basics in a restaurant that's a fail.
Customer service is lacking, took about 5 mins before someone came to the register to take my order. The flavor of the boneless chicken "sandwich" was fair. My major complaints are customer service, and the value of the food. The cost for a very small sandwich and 5 onion rings was 11.95. A little overpriced, I think.
The Greek salad was water down and didn’t taste like one. The Tzatziki sauce was also water down. I felt so bad for the young lady being the bartender, hostess and waitress, this place needs to hire more ppl to accommodate everyone and give better service.

This used to be my favorite mediterranean place. I always stop here when passing through to San Diego. Stopped by on my way home and picked up two chicken kabob plates to go. Waste of $50. The chicken was burnt! I mean burnt so bad it smelled burnt and that smell got into the rice and the rest of the food. We just trashed it. The chicken used to be so tender and savory. Maybe it was the cooks tonight. Not sure but this is not acceptable to serve to anyone.
The girl at the register was nice and helpful. The fries were not good, the rice tasted like plastic and the gyro meat was sliced as thin as a piece of paper. $22 for rice, meat, fries and one piece of pita bread which is the “pita plate”. $.50 for every extra piece of pita bread. Tzitzi sauce was good!
Read english. This place either dont speak or read english since 4 out of 5 times i order food from them for delivery, i get something different than ordered. Its a sincere mistake when happends once or twice but when happens most times ordered than its a pattern in their language barrier or not carrying for their customers. Just heads up when you order one thing you might get something else. Very annoying to the point of disrespecting. Other than that, the food is decent and healthy. On the picture: When ordering a plate of food, you will get only a sandwich instead. Which is cheaper to make!

How do you forget taziki sauce on a gyro?? They forgot the taziki sauce and onions... Food was good other than that.
Good food but more than likely a very frugal owner. One poor lady serving and cleaning all the tables and cashiering for their grocery section. One very overworked cook. So you must wait and wait so the owner can save more and more!
Not a great place. The gyro meat was good but the tatziki was bland and the rice was plain. I was super craving a gyro sandwich and was super disappointed this was my decision to try. I’d rather eat at Daphne’s.
Ya this place was once my favorite, My food doesn't taste the same. My tri-tip plate is about half the size. I couldnt eat a hole plate before. My chicken is different. Every time a new owner comes they have to change and mess things up.. Oh and the new owner/manager. Gross !! My pregnant wife ordered desert and after u been on the register u grabbed the baklava with your bare hands!!! Disgusting!!!
Don't do it. I didn't check the stars when my wife suggested this place. So that was my mistake. The rice was plastic. The pita bread was from a bag. The baklava was still cold in the middle because it was frozen.
Have been coming here for over 2 years. Initially food was outstanding and service was excellent. Over the past 3 visits quality of food has come down and service is almost unbearable. Most recently ordered take out. Food took almost 1 hr before it was ready and when I got home I found that the order was missing a number of things that I had ordered and the food was burned. Not coming here again. Sorry but 3 times and consistently getting worse. Gave 2 stars because the food used to be good.
We have been long time customers that would visit often for Lunch and Dinner. Dining in and Take Away but the last couple times we have been in has not been what our experience has been in the past or how it should be. Prices ☝️ ☝️ Quantity and customer service 👇🏽 👇🏽 *You order something you have always purchased (Hummus) and there is way less then you have received for the same price or more. Overcharged & Overpaid. Very Disappointed in how they cheat their customers!
Disappointed, it was a Friday at 7pm. Called in to order a entree of kafta beef and chicken kabob dinner. This is the first time I am truly disappointed on the quality of the freshness of the food that was served, the kafta was as hard as a rubber hotdog, took one bite and realized that this meat was cooked earlier in the evening and was being kept warm to serve for the next meal. I have made kafta at home and it should not be chewy or hard to cut into with a metal fork like mine was. The pita bread was not warmed up, the salad should have been placed in a separate container instead of going with the hot food. And the rice was just okay. I hate to say this but, Mr. Kabob meal is something I could not serve to my best of friends or family. I will not be going back again anytime soon.
Found MR. Kabob and had two lunches and was impressed. Ask my significant other to go with me for dinner. We arrived and not many customers and we ordered to stay in and eat. This time the food came out over cooked and even burnt. What big disappointment and I can't discribe what some if the meat looked liked and the onion rings were burnt and inedible. No more praises after that experience.
The food is good at this place, but prices are crazy high. You used to be able to get a chicken kabob plus their great salad bar for $13. It is now $16 for the kabob PLUS $3 for salad bar. Too bad, no longer worth it.
I wanted to give this place try but never again. Overpriced and food below average. Lettuce on the salad was old, pita bread was from a bag and gyro was not fresh. The girl at the counter was very nice and provided good service, the food on the other hand was not.
I've been here once before today and enjoyed it, however I won't be returning after today. I came in with my girlfriend and we ordered to go as we were in a hurry to get somewhere, so when we got our food we didn't check to make sure everything was there. After arriving at our destination we realized our salads we're missing. My girlfriend returned to get the salads and although she was given the salads, she was treated rudely by the employee in the process. The salads themselves were drenched in oil and barely edible. The only part of this meal that was good was the hummus, which is the only reason I am giving 2 stars.
The food is great, but sometimes the service is beyond questionable. The man behind the counter today, he's usually posted up in the corner with his phone eating fast food, mistakenly took my food to another table, where the person picked at it with his hands before the mistake was realized. The server then had the audacity to bring me that plate as if it were no big deal. I don't think anyone wants to pay $30 for a lunch other customers have dug through. There's a place on Ynaez called Papa Pita. They get all my business from now on.
17 for a small gyro that wasn't very good. Front help was nice
This place used to be great and was one of my favorite food spots for lunch pre-Covid. Came in today staff was nice. It was hot inside and the soda machine didn’t have any ice. The food did not taste great you could tell that the chicken cooked was not fresh. Disappointed as this was a local spot for employees to grab a delicious lunch.
Chicken was burnt and very dry. I should have known it was empty at lunch time.

16$ for enough food to feed a a baby. This is such a rip off I would rather give my money to Andrew tates discord rip off than give this place money again. It looks 3x bigger on the screen too. My tic tac container is the same size as this.

So over priced now! It's now a $20 lunch for a plate of chicken shawarma with salad bar. That will keep me away now.
Disgusting . You owners need to change the guy in the front. Dirty clothes and wiping his nose with his arm and shirt then made the sandwich with same hands without even wearing cloves. Very bad experience and never coming back..
Worst Gyro I have ever seen. If Mc Donald's started serving Gyros that's what I would picture it to be. It's like Mediterranean food for people who don't know what Mediterranean is.
I was extremely disappointed with my gyros!!! Hardly any meat a drop of tiziki sauce and it cost me over 30.00 what a rip off. Not going back!!!!
Not fresh, bad taste, bed smells
Disgusting, im sorry to not have better words . It was soooo nasty it tasted like straight peppermint and the guy in the front was picking his teeth then had the audacity to hand us our food with the same hands . So nasty .
I used to love this place. But now the service is so so so slow the food comes out cold. The salad is old and the prices are higher. What happened?:(
I ordered a shish kebab. I got Khoobideh instead and I didn't order it in "sandwich form" which is just the meat in burrito style with tomatoes and yogurts. Only good thing was the serevers
The worst shawarma I ever had left over fats and grilled as same as carne assada, if I wanted to eat mexican food I would have Visited a Mexican restaurant...
The place is dirty and smell so much !! The food is not that great at all !! I left all my food in the plate .. the price is so high ! In conclusion I just had a bad experience never again !!!!
Expensive and it tastes not just bad but non edible threw my beef shawarma out
Service was rude and slow. Everything is overpriced compared to other Mediterranean restaurants Wouldn’t try again.
Most pathetic gyros I've ever had. Pretty sure the "pita" was just a cheap flour tortilla. Was more like a lettuce taquito with a sliver of meat on it. It's pretty hard to screw up a gyros......I Will never come here again.
I agree with the previous comments the guy in front is disgusting. The cashier also charged us with the wrong order and waited for an hour for carry out. The shawarmas were too salty. We even gave a decent tip for takeout orders, but was given a bad customer service. Never apologized for the mistake they made. Will never go back there and don’t recommend that place.
Experience was terrible... the grumpy old man treated me like I wasn’t a human being... I asked for garlic and he looked at me said no. Never giving this place my business ever again. He holds grudges and doesn’t have any sense of what’s going on. The place is dirty. The salad bar is open for people who dine in and didn’t even give me a plate to grab some. He’s a terrible human being
The price of the food is astronomical for the amount you get and the quality, while decent, doesn't make up for the expense. A tiny gyro and a soda cost more than $20. I felt ripped off.
I had lunch here a couple weeks ago. I decided to have a gyro and I'm sorry that I did. Pita bread was very dry and large like a burrito and the only contents was some lettuce, small amount of gyro meat and taziki sauce. Way overpriced for what was served. I've had better gyros at Daphne's, Luna grill, and booths at the Temecula Farmers Market.
They sloppily prepared my order. I went back to ask if they can fix it but was met with an attitude from one of the servers. They made assumptions about my character which was extremely offensive. It costs $0 to be courteous but I guess that's too much for their employees to afford.
Stopped by to pick up a gyro sandwich. From the reviews I read I was expecting the standard gyro sandwich that most of the greek fast food restaurants are cranking out. My regular place in Esc. was closed and I figured I would give these guys a go. SOO SORRY I DID! The gyro meat was about the most bland and semi greasy gyro meat I have ever eaten. The plate came with about one third the meat I get on my gyro sandwich from my go to main stay of Mr. Pita in Esc. Mr Pitas gyro meat blows this place so far away. There really is no comparison! I WILL NOT BE A REPEAT CUSTOMER! If you want a very tasty gyro then try Mr Pita in Esc. Not as nice of a restaurant as Mr Kabobs But the gyro will put a big smile on your face.
Girl at the counter was extremely polite. The food on the other hand was ridiculous. I ordered a plate and it came with rice with the testure of plastic, very obviously microwaved. Also the pita was the worst ive ever eaten at a restaurant. The only reason i didnt ask for a refund is because of the chicken, at least one thing on my plate was made fresh. Definitely not worth the price.
Upon. Walking in there was a odd odor. Went to the bathroom That was a nightmare. There was dried up urine On the Toilet seat. Pubic hair on the sink Let's not to mention also on soap dispense.
Decided to go to lunch here today and couldn't believe the embarrassment we were put through! We normally visit this place at least once or twice a week. Being that I myself am also at a local business and we have even befriended the owner and staff. Anyway I came in today and purchased dinner plates with the salad . I went up for a second plate of salad?! Which I did not know apparently is two dollars more? As I approached the salad bar one of the staff member told me that it would cost me two additional dollars for an extra serving so I told her it was fine that I no longer really wanted salad and she then proceeds to literally take the plate out Of my hands and walk back to the kitchen I understood what she meant and the two dollar extra policy however I was in disbelief that she would do that as if I was going steal more salad?! Then the owner suddenly comes out and starts yelling at me, making racist remarks and yelling all kinds of obscenities in front of all the other customers however I would have to say I wasn't so much embarrassed for myself as I was for him he clearly has no class and no manners! Even after I let him humiliate me and embarrass me without me disputing the two dollar additional fee I put the extra money on the table and he continued to use profanity and still yell all kinds of racist remarks. I asked if they could just have my order put in to carry out plates When It was ready. Surprisingly enough he still continued to harass me and my guest. So I finally told him to just keep the thirty bucks and the food and I guess two bucks extra all together because I felt like I was forced to leave the restaurant. I've never been so degraded and publicly humiliated. I will definitely not be returning nor recommending this place any longer! I would also not be surprised if someone else left a comment on this review or what happened there today because he himself definitely made it a public announcement.
Store-bought! Frozen food!? This place was eh. I mean I thought everyone knew white onions do not go in salads and they gave us half a onion in each. The falafels were over fried, rice tasted out of the box, hummus, pita from the grocery store. Honestly only enjoyed the grape leaves which I questionably ask myself if they were homemade at this point.
The food was expensive for such small and bad tasting food. The chicken tasted bad and the rice was hard. The place was dirty.
I'm honestly sad to give this rating. My family and friends used to dine at this place regularly. We loved their lunch pitas, as they were thick cuts of gyro meat and the prices were reasonable. ...then COVID happened and this place transformed for the worst. The pita bread clearly comes from a bag and is cold. The gyro meat is sliced so thinly now that you could literally see light through it. The thing that really was abhorrent was that there were not one, but two wavy black hairs in our hummus. On top of this, the prices have skyrocketed. I understand that inflation has driven prices up, but it should not come with a complete nose dive in quality. I truly feel sorry for this owner, because it used to be the best Mediterranean food in town. I really hope they can rebound, but it seems they're in a self induced death spiral. Truly sad. :(
Ordered from here for my family who came from out of town through Instacart restaurant. Someone drop the ball and didn’t include an eggplant plate so we were short a meal even though it was paid for. Call Instacart and they said all could is refund us. Tried call restaurant just goes to voicemail. Disappointed
Absolutely Disgusting – Never Again! The moment I walked in, the place smelled moldy and musty – it was awful. To make things worse, I actually saw roaches crawling on the wall. It was beyond gross. I lost my appetite immediately and couldn’t wait to leave. I felt so uncomfortable and dirty just being there. This was one of the nastiest experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I will never go back, and I don’t recommend it to anyone.
