We went here for a date night tonight- this is the PERFECT spot for an intimate date night or evening a family outing. My husband had the lamb that was delicious with every bite! I had the Ravioli Diablo, the sauce was so creamy, the chicken was so juice. By far my favorite ravioli I have ever had. We also shared the risotto tots for an appetizer! The sauce it comes with is PERFECTION! The tots are a perfect crunch as well. We ended it with a cheesecake that was so tasteful. Every bite just melted in out mouth! Highly highly recommend not just for their delicious food but the staff was absolutely amazing! Our server Ken was so helpful with recommendations and always checked on us. This will definitely be our regular spot❤️

My wife and I decided to stop for an evening meal. We were greeted by the host and seated promptly. Staff was great and interacted well with all the customers. Our food came out quick, was served hot, and had great flavor. We treated ourselves to desert, and were not disappointed in the tiramisu or the cheesecake. Overall a great dining experience which we will repeat.

We hosted our son’s and now daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner at 17 South Main. The whole evening was amazing. We had the entire upstairs, they even printed a special menu just for our guests. Brent and Keith worked their tails off making sure everything was great. From the appetizers of Risotto Tots & Crab Cakes to the Main Course with choices of Chicken, Hanger Steak (which everyone raved about), Salmon (I recommend trying) and Chicken Alfredo (delicious) then finishing the meal off with their scrumptious Brown Butter Cheesecake & Kalua Chocolate Cake we could not have picked a better place to bring the two families together the evening before the big wedding day. I can’t recommend 17 South Main enough. It’s a great place and I definitely look forward to dining there whenever we are in town.

My husband and I had the opportunity to try out 17 East Main this week for lunch. We shared the caprese heirloom appetizer and it was delicious. The roasted basil enhanced the flavor amazingly. My husband enjoyed the butcher’s cut steak perfectly cooked with chimichurri. The sauce was amazingly fresh bringing out the hanger’s flavor. I had the braised chicken which is not on the lunch menu, but one that was recommended. Keith the chef made it available. Oh my goodness was it amazing. The chicken, mushrooms and sauce were perfectly matched. Selecting one dessert was difficult. My husband doesn’t eat sweets so I could only try one. The tiramisu is absolutely amazing! I plan to try the cheesecake next time. Have you ever heard of brown butter cheesecake! The description sounds divine! All food was hot, delicious, and beautifully presented. We look forward to attending the Valentine’s special menu in a few weeks. If our lunch experience is any indication, celebrating a special occasion will surpass our expectations.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at 17th South, and they went above and beyond! From the very beginning, the team was incredibly thoughtful and detail-oriented, they even visited our wedding website and surprised us by using our custom wedding logo on the menus. They also replicated our exact signature drink menu and were not only on board, but excited when I asked if I/we could decorate the space to match our Roaring 20s theme. Upon being seated, they even turned on a 20s Big Band playlist! They remembered details! Everything looked stunning, the service was seamless, and our guests were so impressed. On top of that, the event minimum was extremely affordable for the level of service and quality we received. I can’t recommend 17th South enough for anyone looking to host a special event they made our night absolutely unforgettable! Also the portion sizes were OUT OF THIS WORLD. 10/10 experience. Thank you so much 17 South!!!

I walked into 17 South for lunch with a friend and was blown away! It is a beautiful restaurant! Then the bread came out and it was crunchy and garlicky and delightful. Next came the salmon which was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of seasoning, and I’m big on flavor. Would happily drive from Waco again!

Stopped in for lunch. The service was spectacular and so was the food. The wedge salad was huge and the blue cheese dressing was homage and some of the best we’ve ever experienced. I was not particularly hungry so had the ceviche Del Mar. unbelievable blend of flavors. My wife had the pasta primavera. Pasta appeared to be home made.

This is my 3rd visit to have great foods that I've been looking for. The food portion is just rights! I don't have to drive to Austin to get quality foods like this. Today, June 14th. I'm bringing my dad and sister for early Father's Day dinner. We happened to have 4:30pm. reservations, but the restaurant is open at 5pm. Still, the foods are worth waiting for.

This place is amazing. This would be the perfect place for a date, an anniversary. A family gathering place. Perfect price for meals. Even the music they play was our speed. We will be back. Nice atmosphere. Cozy.

Had an amazing lunch the other day. Stopped by and was seated immediately. Food was outstanding. Began with fried green tomatoes, butchers cut steak and chicken piccata were great. Nice bar selection. A very enjoyable lunch indeed. Service was wonderful as well. Definately returning.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary here, and it was our first time. Absolutely delicious. We ordered the steamed mussels for appetizer, the lamb chops and over roasted duck breasts and for dessert we have the espresso chocolate mousse. Each dish was so unique and had its own kick, both of us wondering about the flavors! The Brussels sprouts that came with my boyfriend’s dish had a delicious balsamic cherry glaze (that’s what we think it was). The expectations we had were exceeded! Our server was great, very attentive and we even got to talk to the chef a bit about the dishes! I loved the elegant yet homey experience we had! I recommend to everyone to try this place!

At every turn we were amazed with the service. Since it was our first time we decided to try several appetizers and cocktails and desserts. The owner, Eric, suggested a red wine that we all adored as well! The food was perfection. Our main courses spread from shrimp scampi to flat iron steak to duck and every meal was delicious! It felt like sitting down with family at our home. We weren't rushed, so much thought went into their dining experience for guests and we all left wishing we had tried it earlier and vowed to continue to come often. If you are wanting to try something new or be proud of having a restaurant such as this in our town - I highly recommend dining here.

Ordered Crab Cakes, Contadino Caprese, Ravioli Diablo, Flat Iron, and Chocolate Espresso Cake. Server was great, every food item we ordered was amazing, perfectly seasoned and flavored. The ravioli diablo was the best ravioli we’ve ever had, the texture and bite of the ravioli was 10/10. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great for a nice anniversary dinner date.

This is our first visit. We came to downtown Temple to eat lunch at another restaurant. We were walking along and saw 17 South was open for lunch until 2:00 and tried it out. We were not disappointed. The portions were generous and delicious. Ryan was our waiter. He was attentive and helpful. We will be back.

My friend did a 1pm reservation for my birthday. It was absolutely wonderful! The waitress/bartender was so sweet and lovely! I got the eggplant parmigiana and it was delish! It came with veggies and fettuccine alfredo which were so yummy! It was my first time there and I will 100% come back with my hubby and toddler!

I asked for Makers Mark, a proper bourbon, and I was up charged for it. The menu clearly states their old fashioned is made with bourbon, not Tennessee Whiskey. Then our food came out. I had the Ravioli Diablo and it was excellent. Everything cooked to perfection. My wife had Chicken Genovese and although the chicken was overdone (I saw her trying to saw through part of the chicken with her knife) it was tasty, mostly because of the cream sauce. For dessert we had the cheesecake. It was just OK, nothing to write home about, but I wouldn't order it again. All in all, we had a nice night out but I did have to remove a star for trying to replace bourbon with JD (when the menu says bourbon) and then up charging for the bourbon. Give them a try, I found prices were very reasonable and staff helpful and friendly.

My husband got the shrimp scampi and only had five shrimp in his dish, he also wished there had been more. Our server was very nice and attentive, which we appreciated. Not a bad experience, just not quite what we expected for the price.

So I really wanted to love this place... The staff had their own gab session and left us hanging without getting to order, no refills on water, and fidnt take a second bar order. Very cool decor and seating. Has a lot of potential. Food wise 1. Drinks were flavorful but weak pour. 2. Crabcake was okay 3. The bread was like a rock saturated in oil. *see video 4. The shrimp scampi sat in an inch of butter... it was gross. 5. The steak was decent. Maybe a better lunch space than dinner idk....

I made reservations at 17th South for Valentine’s Day after seeing the great reviews. I booked through Google and wasn’t aware they would only be offering a fixed three course Valentine’s menu. That wasn’t necessarily a problem, but it would have been helpful to know ahead of time since there were no alternative options available. Hence why we picked Italian. Several other guests seemed just as surprised. The hostess was fantastic, friendly and welcoming from the start. Food was ok, Unfortunately, our server did not match that energy. He came across as cold, wasn’t very welcoming, and rarely checked in on us throughout the meal. Over all not impressed for the price.
