Very good food. So many options. Drinks were fabulous. People were accommodating and friendly. Will go again.
Amazing busy cafe with excellent service and amazing food! I wholly recommend the pastrami hash and deviled eggs, they are among the top 3 I have ever tasted in my life. The portion size of the pastrami hash can honestly feed 2. The crab cake benedict is incredibly scrumptious with a perfect balance of salt, sweet, and umami. The monte Cristo benedict was too sweet and tasted like pure maple sugar. As a food hack, you must get a side of a biscuit and sausage gravy which is less than the benedict dish. 😉 Flavor 5/5 Value 5/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 4/5 busy and loud but appropriate
We had a wait time that was quoted at 15 minutes, but the front room was very welcoming of waiting, so I didn't even notice the 15 minutes me and my friend and I were super comfortable chatting up front! The menu had so many different options, but I settled on the Benedict qith queso and jalopeno bacon on waffles! It was absolutely phenomenal ! I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family, and their food was phenomenal!
This place is wonderful. I ordered one egg (sunny side up), toast and jam (apple cinammon bread), and fruit from the a la carte menu. The food came out fresh and delicious. The service and atmosphere are nice. Update: I recently tried the Avocado Toast which was delicious! The Old-Fashioned Oatmeal is a hearty option.
Such a nice surprise! Went in for lunch and was seated right away. They have specials and two separate menus for breakfast and lunch. I had the crab cake Benedict - which I highly recommend - it was amazing. The presentation is ok (keep in mind that it is a diner!), but the taste is very very good! They serve all kinds of different coffee drinks too and I had a real cappuccino! Our server was witty, friendly and helpful! I am sold! Recommend for a good lunch - your belly will thank you!
This place was amazing! The food is so good and the atmosphere is very relaxed. We sat out on the patio and they have extra blankets and pillows for patrons to use if it's chilly. There are trivia cards on the tables to keep you entertained. Once the food arrives you won't care about that though, because it's phenomenal! My dad was talking about the poutine for the rest of the day and my vegetarian burger was so good. The whole family agreed the brussel sprouts starter was the best though (weird, I know).
Writing this review from the table. The potatoes? Crispy. The pancakes? Fluffy. You can actually taste the vanilla come through. And they had chicken sausage. The coffee? Great. I’d come here again.
Seriously so good!! Fresh and so much better than any chain breakfast/brunch place. Waitress was great, and we were so impressed with the quality of food. Will be coming back!
Came around 130/2 and there was no wait. Our server was incredibly bubbly and helpful with recommendations. The ambiance was pretty laid back and rustic. I got the salmon bowl and it was actually so much food. The salmon was nicely charred but not much to say more than that. Wish I had more pickled onions. But the Brussel sprouts and fried broccoli with the teriyaki glaze more than carried the rest of the ingredients. I couldn't stop myself eating it all even though I was full 😮💨 Will definitely be going again to try more stuff.
MS L.. You are so ridicules, No parent in there right mind would place there kids out in the cold to eat and turn around and blame the establishment by saying you were pressured to sit outside, Im sure your we just upset that you were placed on the waiting list just like everyone else, plus its mentioned on the menu if you can read, that a party of 5 or more get a 20% auto gratuity. Megg"s is hands down the best spot to eat in Temple. The nerve of ppl who get free complimentary items still feel they have to post a negative review.. shame on you Ms L..
Amazing food with wonderful service! Coffee was fresh and yummy. We ordered cinnamon roll french toast and a plate of sides which included light toast (homemade in their bakery on site!) crispy bacon and wonderfully crunchy but soft in the center house potatoes. If you're in the area I would highly recommend stopping in for breakfast!
First time visit! Good Food! Great service! Good Ambiance, We sat outside and it was nice. We had: Chicken and Waffles with Grits and Broccoli. Chicken and Waffles with House Fries. PENNE BOLOGNESE, penne pasta, shaved parmesan, baguette. CLASSIC DOUBLE Burger, lettuce, tomato, melted onion, aged cheddar. SMOTHERED Omelette, potato, onions, bell peppers, cheddar, green's sausage gravy. The wait staff was attentive and kept our drink filled. (Coffee & Tea). We had a 20 minute wait before seating. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We will be going back again.
I had the grapefruit avocado toast. An amazing burst of delight! The menu description is intriguing. The flavors work superbly together. I highly recommend it! The coffee n cream was delicious, too. Our waitress is a truly wonderful person. All this worked together to create a friendly, comfortable atmosphere.
Our family came here for the first time to eat Brunch. The food and mimosas were fantastic! Our server was friendly and we didn’t wait long for our food. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The wait wasn’t too long. They have a wonderful menu with so many different options to choose from. We will definitely be back!
We've been regulars here for a few years. The food is always very good and priced pretty appropriately for what it is. The majority of our visits have been great. Me and my son had breakfast this afternoon and everything was top notch. I had the veggie omelet and he had steak and eggs. 🤤OUR SERVER Ashley was great as usual. Thanks for a great breakfast and service!
We always get the Southern Poutine. It is so yummy! Their sausage gravy is one of the best I've had. Staff service is always great, attentive and efficient and friendly.
We had about a 30min wait for our party, but half of us were running late anyway. The food was amazing & the staff was very nice. The last time I had eggs Benedict somewhere else the biscuit was pretty dry, but I got the crab cake eggs Benedict & it was just perfect. Never had anything like it! Their deviled eggs were to die for as well. We had plenty of space in our area to exchange xmas gifts too.
This place is busy for a reason, the food is so good. I ordered the steak and eggs and sourdough toast. The service was good for it being busy and will definitely go back.
I absolutely love Megg's. I eat here everytime I'm in Temple. The baked goods are amazing, but ordering from the menu is a must! The deviled eggs, crispy brussel sprouts and the cocktails are all favorites. But everything I've ordered has been fantastic! Today I had the poached egg and brussel sprouts hash and it was AMAZING! If you are ever close to this gem, you must go!!!
We ate as a family of 8 and the food was delicious! We ordered omelets, pancakes, cinnamon rolls and more! All was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great service.
What a nice breakfast place! Used to be mom’s favorite so we tried it while in town. Everything was great (well, the coffee was terribly weak, we figured out later they brewed our coffee over used grounds, that’ll do it!). We particularly liked our server (Monty? Manny? sorry), he was very nice and took the experience over the top). No wonder mom loved this place!
They have an awesome menu. Lots to choose from. Sometimes very busy and the staff I have worked with did their best, even when we asked for specialty items not on the menu. Our wait is usually shorter than they tell you. The bakery and coffee are on point. Espresso is generally jet fuel here.
Megg's is truly a one-of-a-kind place. The restaurant is cozy and eclectic and the bakery has a giant, old-school display cabinet. The food is always delicious & ths service is exceptional. Highly recommend the French toast & poutine!
Me and my fiancé had the day off together so we decided to come have a late lunch here. The food was delicious! Atmosphere was very welcoming and our server Piper was amazing. We didn’t have to ask for anything. She made our experience here a memorable one. We will definitely be back.
First time experience! Wonderful staff. Awesome food. Unique plating and dishes offered. If I lived in the area, I'd go often! Their bread is fresh! Made in the bakery at the restaurant. Super fresh. They offer gluten free and egg free breads! Chicken and waffles, chorizo omelet, and creme brulee!
Always a treat getting to have breakfast here. This morning we had excellent service by Julio. 🤩 Fantastic Mimosas and matched perfectly with “My favorite” Crab Benedict, and “my wife’s favorite”, Waffle Benedict. Always great service 🥰, but if you can get either (Ashely or Julio) to take care of you, I promise your experience will be fantastic.
Meg’s Egg is simply outstanding. The menu selections are brilliant—there’s no better word for it. Every time I walk in, the bar is already set high and I know it’s going to be damn good… and somehow they still manage to exceed expectations. The food is Michelin-star quality breakfast fare—beautifully crafted, creative, and consistently excellent. What really sets Meg’s Egg apart is the care put into the ingredients: everything tastes clean, fresh, and genuinely healthy without sacrificing flavor. That balance is rare. The service matches the food. The staff is professional, friendly, and welcoming, and we were lucky enough to have Gina as our waitress—an absolute sweetheart who made an already great experience even better. Hands down, this is the best breakfast experience in Central Texas. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out.
Although I placed a to-go order, I waited inside. The atmosphere was nice, everyone was very friendly and attentive, and my eggs were cooked perfectly! I love a good soft scramble.
After a long visit with my mom (who has stage 3 cancer), my 10 year old daughter and precious puppy stopped by heading to DFW. We sat on the patio (awning could use a little work, as it was super windy). Our server, Hope, was absolutely amazing. She was kind, patient and deserves 10 thumbs up! BTW, crab cake benedict is on point! We will be back!
My waitress is friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely Divine. I had a pomegranate mimosas and their avocado toast wasn't mushed up. It was sliced very beautifully on my toast and that I felt like I was at a high-end restaurant. It was a, very wonderful experience
A year ago Meggs cafe really helped my family out after I had 4 consecutive strokes . When I came in to eat today I had the same waitress as we did also year ago. And she remembered us which was very nice. Meggs cafe is a great place to eat and the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. Thanks for the great memories Meggs. Sincerely Mr Eric Carroll
I have traveled the world the past 30 years and this place is the best diner I have eaten at. I had their kitchen sink omelet and their Belgian waffle (all made from scratch). They make their own bread (I loved the sourdough). My wife asked me to go here and we will definitely become a regular. Sherry was our server and she had the best attitude and she was very friendly. I would highly recommend eating here.
The food was amazing! I came on a Saturday around 1100 and it was packed! The wait was about 20 minutes but since I was dining alone I was able to snag a place at the bar. I ordered the island mimosa, with the banana nut French toast with bacon & eggs. It was phenomenal! Large portion for the French toast, I was not able to finish it all. The service was quick even though it was so busy. My server, Voltron was also amazing and very attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant for brunch.
Incredible breakfast! Their house potatoes were some of the best I’ve ever had. Their menu is super unique. Super high quality food and not to mention the service was top notch. Hope was our waitress and I have to say she was one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had at any restaurant. Super attentive and on top of it! Coffee is also pretty great!
Everything we had was so tasty! I ordered the southern poutine and coffee. Both were really enjoyable. The chicken and waffle sliders were great. Julio’s service at the bar was thorough and prompt. The omelette and pineapple mimosa came out perfectly as well. You must order the jalapeño bacon!!
Great service and food! Everything was pretty quick even though they were busy. Our waitress was attentive. Everything was clean. Plenty of parking. We were happy to support this local business while in town. The fish tacos were recommended and surprisingly good. The cinnamon roll muffin was the base for the french toast, which was good. The pancakes (with chocolate chips) were huge and decadent.
Our server Piper was 10 stars. She was phenomenal !!! Checked on our needs several times and great with kids. I have a very picky eater (my grandson). But he cleaned his plate at Megg's. There was a bit of a wait, but worth every minute. My granddaughter had 3 cups (1-2-3) of their FRESH SQUEEZED orange juice. I loved their pastrami hash. So many flavors. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Incredible. Super great service, not too long a wait on a weekend morning! Food was excellent, fresh and soooooo much better than any breakfast/brunch chain. Will definitely be coming back.

One of our favorite breakfast stops in Temple, TX. The services and food are exceptional. It's dog friendly too

breakfast was delicious. The poutine is enough for 2, or one starving teenager. Piper kept us well taken care of. Friendly and patient.
Pretty good experience today. First, we were seated inside, but way too cold! So we went outside to the patio, much better, nice atmosphere. I've been here before when the coffee is just lukewarm. But today it was hot! Great coffee! I ordered basic scrambled eggs, toast and potatoes. Eggs were a bit oily and not fluffy. But you can't go wrong with their cinnamon raisin toast! Potatoes were tasty too. We had a great server, very attentive. All in all, an enjoyable experience!
So I really wanted to give 5 stars and on the other multiple visits I have. For the most part the restaurant is and does deserve 6 stars. This is a great place to eat. The food is awesome and delicious. Today we waited 30 minutes to be seated. That was ok. Sat at the table and watched two other tables get waited on before us, 10+ minutes into us sitting at the table. Finally getting our food, appetizers first, we still did not have silverware or napkins. After refills of coffee and now the meal, still no silverware or napkins. Finally asking for napkins and silverware we get some. The Pecan waffles that I ordered did not have pecans. The drinks were on point though. There was a positive. We will be back, however I'm hoping next time is a better experience.
Food was amazing. We waited about 45 minutes for 2 people to get a table during breakfast rush on a Sunday around 10am. Our waiter was a bit slow to get our drinks and orders and was helping the other tables more than ours. But once our order was placed, our experience was much better. The cinnamon rolls are a must try!
Meggs was delicious. Staff is super welcoming amd friendly. Place was busy but I seated promptly and served quickly. Coffee is good. Had the biscuits & Gravy Benedict. YUM! The biscuits were toasted buttery and soft. The gravy is delicious and the eggs were poached perfectly. Will definitely be back!
Wait was around 40 minutes for lunch on a Friday. Very crowded. Food was so good. I ordered the chorizo omelet. The potatoes that came with it were so yummy. Really jealous of my friend's cornmeal pancake. The presentation was beautiful. She said it was amazing. Just realized as I posted this that omelet was supposed to come with toast. Didn't receive toast. If ever in Temple, overall great place to eat! The toast situation wouldn't deter me entirely, but it is a pet peeve when they don't bring all your meal.
The service was spot on and the food was delicious. The vibe of the restaurant overall was great too. The menu is a good size and gives you tons of options as well. I definitely recommend trying them at least once. I would not recommend the potatos though they weren’t the best at all
I got seated between two tables of women which was a little awkward. It felt like I was having breakfast with them. I had the two egg, bacon, potatoes, and pancakes breakfast. Eggs were cooked properly, bacon was delicious, potatoes were hot, and the pancakes were delicious if perhaps a bit dark. They didn’t taste burnt. Service was good. I got my water refilled in a timely manner. A little pricey but what isn’t nowadays.
Edit: 2-23-24 visited for breakfast and service was great and food even better so bumping another star up/ Edit: new visit on 9-14-21. Service was much better and the poutine was fabulous!. Bumping up to 3 stars. Thanks Previous: This was probably our worst experience ever with Meggs. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded but we did have to wait for a table. There was one other couple sitting in the waiting area, so we had a seat and waited. Several others came in and added their names to the list. Then a couple come in and are told that there’s an outside table available if they would like it. I would have loved an outside table but since I didn’t ask for one I decided to wait. I checked my name and was told there were a few people in front of me. When I questioned this they said it would only be about 15 minutes. Well, we had already been waiting about 30 minutes so when they called others that came in after us we got up and left. We went to another restaurant and were sitting with our food when we got the call that our table was ready.
Across the street from a local hospital, this cafe is not easily visible from the road. What sets them apart are their ingredients, menu items, and prices. Given the fierce competition it endures from the very visible Denny's and Mexican restaurants nearby, the survival of this place is a little something more than simply being an off brand First Watch. The number of people dining here in scrubs and lined up for breakfast while the nearest Denny's sits empty is telling. The prices are a little steeper and the wait a little longer, but Megg's Cafe is worth it.
My new favorite place to eat when going into Temple for medical visits. It's in a good location, close parking, and orders come out fast. Everyone is nice and helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious and hot. They're happy to accommodate allergies. And they arent afraid to season the food! Highly recommend. -Dirty Chai -Coffee -Spinach, ham, mozerella Omelet -Fried Potatoes -Chai scone -Cranberry almond scone Only exception, I wasn't a fan of the orange cake special. The cream cheese icing was perfect but the cake didn't seem to be cake at all, it was super heavy and dense.

The environment is friendly and inviting. The service was friendly and fast. The menu isn’t very big, but they offer breakfast all day.
The Banana Nut Bread French toast tested good, really soft and undercooked in the center. The sausage was an utter disappointment, though they were served on was piping hot plate, the sausage was room temperature and tasted like they were left out on the counter overnight.
***EDIT*** Not sure what's going on, but this place seems to be struggling a bit. The staff was disconnected, Parts of my order were missing, the portions I did get were smaller and yet prices had gone up, Dishes were dirty, beer taps didn't work. On a positive note, the food itself did taste good. Hopefully they can pick things up over there.... See below for original review from 4 years ago which I firmly supported until now ***END EDIT*** Hands down my favorite restaurant in Temple. Delicious food wonderful staff and everyone really seems to be happy here! I am Always treated with smiles and friendly service. The food is amazing, they get fresh produce locally. Also they have beer and wine if you need a little break. All in all you won't find a better restaurant in Temple! Don't think about it anymore, this is the spot to go.
As with most restaurants today, help is the biggest issue. Our waitress was great, food was not. The waffle Benedict was tasty however lackluster. 1/4 of a cool waffle topped with poached egg not well drained equals soggy waffle. Only the eggs were fresh to the plate, everything else was steam table warm. My wife's crispy chicken wrap was even dimmer on the radiant heat scale. Cool fried chicken that's sat for a bit ain't delectable! It's disturbing the trend we are in, mediocrity runneth amuck! Thanks Brandon!
Rude and unwelcoming hosts. No greeting or hello and acted like they were almost trying to dissuade us from dining there by saying you know it’s a 45 minute wait?! Server was very friendly but seemed overworked with too many tables to be attentive. Food was good but could have been warmer, seemed like it may have sat in a window for a while. Customer service overall could definitely use some improvement.
Ordered take out, got the choose 2 eggs benedict and they were both absolutely delicious!!! The vanilla cappuccino was delicious!!! However I ordered a short stack of the brown sugar pancakes and they were gross way too much egg in the batter they were actually hard to chew the texture was very off putting.
Lunch on a Sunday (arrived at 12:40) took 2 and a half hours… we had to wait 30 minutes for a table for 2 which was not a big deal but then the service and kitchen was so incredibly slow we literally weren’t hungry anymore by the time we got our food…. We started with coffee and split one chocolate chip pancake which was great and came out pretty fast but then we waited almost an hour for the actual entrees! I had the roasted Turkey sandwich was honestly bland and dry so I don’t recommend. It seemed that our server was conscious of how much time we had spent there and were waiting but even when the food came out the time it took to get the check was almost another 20 minutes and then he had our cards for another 15! Overall, a somewhat decent spot for a basic American brunch lunch menu in Temple but don’t get your hopes up too much.
Our brunch experience at Meggs Cafe left mixed impressions. The staff's warm welcome was appreciated, but the Island mimosa fell short in sweetness for my taste, leading me to leave it unfinished. The speedy arrival of our food was a plus, but the potatoes lacked seasoning and were disappointingly hard. The chicken sausage, unfortunately, was rubbery and challenging to cut with a fork. On a positive note, the fried egg was satisfactory, and the Brown Sugar Pecan pancakes, while large and soft, felt like they were missing a special touch—perhaps a brown sugar bourbon glaze could enhance the flavor. Despite some highlights, the overall dining experience didn't compel me to revisit; it seems my cousins may have overestimated the allure of this establishment.
Atmosphere is great here. The food was okay, it wasn’t anything to rave about. I will say, it’s farm to table style meals, so if you are into that, then you’ll have a ball. I thought that the fare was overpriced or too hyped up with words for what it was. I was so excited to try the deviled eggs. Turns out, they weren’t deviled, well at least mine wasn’t. They were boiled eggs cut in half and a touch of bacon jam on top. Not my favorite. Sorry. If I go back, I’d probably try breakfast next time instead.
Where to start !!! I have been coming here since 2017 and it was a gem, went back several times always good, clean and attentive staff, then Covid happened and it was hard for everyone. One thing needs to be said though, why do they think it’s ok to let the service go down followed with the cleanliness of the establishment, bathrooms dirty and broken down, menus full of kids crayon drawings and coffee/ food stains. And to add salt to the wound our waiter was awol. We have to be thankful to a different waitress that saw us sitting and asked if we have been helped. So she took over and after that it went much better. The food was ok even though the chicken was over fried, so it was, dark and dry. I hope that the owner of this establishment takes a good look and fixes all the things that are going downhill and maybe talk to the wait staff so nobody gets left behind . Thank you Marissa for helping us out.
The food was just okay but expensive for what you get. The crab cake Benedict was very "fishy" which even half-decent crab should NOT be. The potatoes on both of our plates were extremely overcooked making them inedible except maybe 2 bites. The service was extremely slow considering that the place was not busy in the least.
love the menu such a great variety! We liked stumbling beyond to getting here. Service was really good.

Food is good but I have never been in there where every employee in the place has to walk past you before you can be seated in their empty resturant. I don't get their service protocol.

I’ve heard great reviews for Megg’s cafe. I decided to try it through delivery, as I did not have the time to go into the restaurant. After removing all the burnt pieces of the bread, the sandwich tasted pretty decent. I wish the cook cared more about the take out customers not to send burnt bread.
Crab dip-Grade-F. Very fishy tasting, we each took one bite and abandoned. Chicken and Waffles- Grade- D-. Bibb and Beet salad- C+. Good flavor. Pretty skimpy salad. Service- Grade-B. She was friendly and refilled drinks timely. Had to flag another server down for more syrup and she should had asked why the crab dip wasn’t eaten. Won’t return.

Waited longer than quoted, a lot longer. Host was lost, not greeting new customers walking in. Zero customer service at the front door. After seating waited another 10 minutes for a server to come and get our drink order. They were busy but there are several areas of improvement that are quite obvious.
We waited a long time to be seated and were pressured to sit outside, where it was freezing, windy, and unsafe for our young kids and baby. Staff refused to move us inside or to a sheltered table and were rude about it. Our baby cried from the cold, food came out with hairs in it, coffee was cold, and the manager’s “compensation” was deviled eggs. To top it off, they added a 20% automatic gratuity. Terrible service and zero care for customers.
I got the classic benedict today with a side of cheesy grits and ended up with food poisoning. The grits tasted sour, so not sure which it was. Husband is fine bc he ordered something else. We eat the same things daily so I know it was this place that caused it.
Placed an online order through Google Maps which linked me to postmates. Meggs Fries order was incorrect. Went in to explain and the first staff member was arguing that I placed the order wrong. Asked for a refund and he got the manager Angie. She was rude and aggressive from the start and also said I placed the order wrong. Sharing screenshots to show that order was placed correctly. Perhaps there’s an issue between Postmates and Meggs, but the manager was too unprofessional to even look.
Waited an hour to get seated (they said it would be 15-20 minutes), After we had sat down it had taken them another hour to bring out our food, Our server never really checked in on our table, employees didn’t seem to care. if you’re looking for a breakfast/brunch spot go somewhere else!
To the server who served my food to the wrong table, allowed them to eat my chips and then take it away from them, telling them that they delivered the wrong plate. And less than 2 minutes later, I am getting the food that was wrongly delivered next to us. Disgusting!! And I know it was my plate because you can’t remake fish tacos that fast.
Very disappointed. Never been a great fan of the place but I wanted to give them another chance. I ordered a chorizo omelette with pico and cheese. After taking a few bites it felt as if something was missing, so I checked and NO CHORIZO! That was the main thing! The waitress took my plate to show the manager. Then she brings it back and asked me if I wanted them to remake it. No, it had already taken too long to begin with. Also asked me if I wanted my plate back. Sure, you take my plate to show someone and then bring it back to and I’m supposed to take it back? Would you?
Not my favorite place anymore. Omelet was tiny...my husband's was twice the size but both were 15 dollars. Imagine paying 30 bucks for 2 omelets and coffee that never got refilled and leaving hungry. Really sad bc we always plan a holiday visit to Meggs when we travel. Nothing festive here this year unfortunately.
One star is even too much!!! The first time we ate there it was mediocre (at best) but we like to give places a second change. HUGE MISTAKE! My husband and I had the WORST meal we’ve ever had in our life. Let’s start with the wait times, it took almost 10 minutes just for the server to come over. Another 5 minutes just to get drinks. After placing the order another 35 minutes to get the food. I was in my scrubs and had to go to work after. It’s a Monday morning, not even a weekend. Once we got the food my omelette was barely warm and the bacon was raw! I mean raw like straight from the package. I was chatting and didn’t realize until it was in my mouth. I consider myself a lady but I was forced to spit it into my napkin. I was embarrassed but I had no choice. My husband steak was flavored horrible and so tuff he could barely cut it with the knife. His eggs were so over cooked to the point they were like rubber. The toast wasn’t even toasted. The potato’s were the only edible thing on either of our plates. 15 more minutes go by waiting for our waiter to bring the check. My husband had to go to the front just to ask to get the check. We both left nauseous and hungry after paying $39 for 2 breakfast (before tip). I don’t know how this place got such good reviews, it was so bad I don’t want to go to any restaurant for a while but will never go to that nightmare restaurant again!
We had a great breakfast, I had just paid nearly $200. for our breakfast. My family and I were enjoying each others company when an employee came to the table and told us that we needed to leave because there were other customers waiting on the table. We got up, left and won’t ever go back. We were shocked. If you’re in a hurry for great food this is the place. If you want to relax and enjoy your dining experience, this is not the place for that.
The tables are too close together where you can hear the next table's conversation better than your own table. My sister just ate there yesterday and had tapeworms in her salmon. With a poor atmosphere and then very questionable food quality and safety, I doubt I will ever be recommending this place.
Huge concern regarding food safety practices at this location. During my first & only visit, I was seated where I had a clear view into the kitchen through two small side windows. I observed multiple food-handling issues, including staff not wearing hairnets. One cook had a very long, loose ponytail (waist-length) and, while visible through the window, removed and re-tied his hair in the food prep area. According to Texas Department of State Health Services guidelines, hands must be washed immediately after touching hair when handling food. Shortly after, my food arrived with a long black hair inside my avocado toast and sunny-side-up egg. I did not cause a scene, but I informed my waiter and requested the food to go, which I ultimately chose not to eat. What was most concerning was the lack of response from management. No “manager” came to speak with me; only another kitchen staff member asked if I wanted my food boxed. Later, my waiter asked if a manager had come to speak with me, which I then confirmed was supposed to be the person who asked me if I wanted my food to go. I am leaving this review so others can be aware and so this location can correct serious sanitation and food-safety practices.
