Every time I come the staff here is welcoming and helpful. They have great attitudes, even when stretched because they are short handed. Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat!

There's only one sandwich I order from McAlister's and it's the modified New Yorker. Pastrami, Corned beef, Roast beef, and deli turkey Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and creamy horseradish I will post a picture of this generous monstrosity 😋

This was my first time dining at the Temple, TX location. It was the best McAllister experience I've ever had. The staff was friendly and helpful. They never allowed my drink to get empty without offering a refill. If you're near Temple TX, try the McAllister.

Always a good meal. My wife and I stopped by and dined in, usually I'm grabbing something to take home after a watch on the ambulance. As usual the people are professional courteous and friendly, the food is plentiful and tasty. It's in a strip mall parking lot so parking is plentiful, if a mild adventure sometimes. Only a few spaces right next to the building, the rest are a short walk into a trapezoid corner of the car park. The staff are always busy, they're earning their bucks keeping the place clean and tidy and making great food.

LUKE LUKE LUKE, where do I start I don’t usually believe in legends, but then I met Luke. Luke doesn’t just work at McAlister’s—he elevates it. There’s something almost cinematic about the way he moves behind the counter, like he’s part of the building itself, an unsung hero ensuring every order comes out just right. When Luke hands you your food, it feels less like a transaction and more like a quiet promise that your day is about to improve. His presence alone makes the sweet tea taste sweeter and the sandwiches feel handcrafted with purpose. He’s calm, effortless, and somehow always exactly where he needs to be, like the McAlister’s equivalent of a folk tale passed down from customer to customer. You don’t ask for Luke—he simply appears when you need him most. If McAlister’s were a story, Luke would be the character people talk about long after they leave. The kind of worker you don’t forget. The kind of legend you hope is scheduled next time you come in.

Luke was such an outstanding WORKER. Brought out our food in a timely manner and it was perfect. He constantly asked us if we needed refills and he delivered ! He even took a bite outta my sandwich to make sure it wasn’t poisoned. Wouldn’t ask for someone better. Go Luke ! Great job mcallisters !

Staff extremely helpful and kind. Restaurant was clean. Asked for pickles and crackers after my order was out..most places..staff seems bothered. If they were here..they didnt show it. Very pleasant.

Good Morning! My wife and myself ate lunch yesterday 11/4/25 for lunch from 11:45-1:15. Walked in and was pretty busy but not as busy as we’ve seen before. I stood in line, and watched Mr Chris helped the customers in front of myself, he was by himself. Patiently waited, came our turn he was very apologetic about the wait stating they were short handed up front and his only help was in the bathroom; he took our orders no issues. We went to sit down. We noticed that there was only Ms Allison working the dinning room, she delivered our food was very sweet and through out our stay we were made welcomed and waited on. We noticed that she made sure not only ourselves were great during our stay but she made several trips around the dinning room during the time we were there, and made everyone’s empty drinks were filled, she picked up all the empty plates and even cleaned the tables after taking them to the back. She handled these tasks like a BOSS! We would have stated this to a manager if one came by however, I’m assuming since they were short handed is why we never saw any in the dinning room. There also and another lady delivering food in a green/gray shirt also who seemed polite and helpful we just never interacted with her so don’t know her name. ONLY COMPLAINT WE HAVE!! My wife visited the bathroom when we first arrived, an individual was in the stall crying over the phone to someone, she assumed it was a patron however come to find out it was Mr Chris’s help at the front counter. She was in the bathroom from the time we arrived for 25 mins the first time she came out to help, and then she helped about two customers before we saw her ran back to the bathroom again and was there for another 15mins before we left so don’t know how long afterwards she stayed in there. Everyone has bad days emotional days but leaving her fellow co workers during lunch rush and short handed isn’t ok, but We prayed for her that whatever was wrong with her that she’s ok

Delicious food and exceptional service. I ordered a spicy turkey melt without bacon, and when it arrived, I thought it smelled and tasted vaguely of pork. The manager, Aubrey, cheerfully helped me and listened to my complaint, and had it remade for me, and offered to make it cold so it wouldn't come near any pork in the kitchen. The remake was delicious, and the service makes me excited to return soon.
