OMG, I LOVED THE FOOD!!! I had the half rack of ribs with a side of seasoned waffle fries and a side of asparagus. The ribs fell off the bone, the meat was very tender. The seasoned waffle fries were very crispy and I couldn’t taste much of cooking oil, so it tasted pretty fresh and lightweight. The asparagus was well seasoned with plenty of salt and pepper. My waiter was McKenzie, she’s amazing and badass. Definitely will be coming to back to eat here.
The other day was the first time I ate at this restaurant. The salad I ordered were not only delicious, my chicken breast was cooked perfectly & it was large. I order a salad as my main meal and the size of my salad was enough to be very satisfying. I ordered a salad to go, and was impressed that they did not skimp on the size or quality. It was so good & a generous portion, just like in the restaurant. The next day I ordered two salads to go, again generous portion and delicious. I’ll be back! .
Was in need of a relaxed dinner and 54 provided just that. Our server, Tyson, was attentive and available when needed. We had the dinner for two special. Great deal. My favorite dish is the Chicken Bucatini and it was really good. Wife had the Potato Soup (cheesy and tasty, her words) and a salad. Dessert was the Salted Caramel Brownie with Ice Cream and it hit the spot. Manager Scott stopped by and we let him know how happy we were with everything. This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants.
To this day, this restaurant is still in my top 5 most favorite restaurants in Texas. The service is very friendly, the points thankfully can be useful and takes less time to add up than most other places. The fries are great but the chicken tenders to me are fantastic. They’re fresh, juicy, crispy, hot, and big. I also love the amount of pop culture items being showcased which makes it atmospheric. The only minor issue I have is that the current desert menu is very weak. They removed the chocolate cake that had the white chocolate pieces around it, hopefully they can vastly improve on that department. But like I said, very minor issue when the food has been consistently good for me for almost 3 years since I’ve been in this state. I definitely recommend eating here. ^-^ Personal Note: renaming 54th Street to just Fifty Fourth is redundant and ultimately pointless. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the original name. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.
Prior to about year ago I would not have given the service or atmosphere 5 stars, but it seems management made some much needed staff changes. The hostesses and waiters have since been friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The food has always been great. I stopped going for awhile but about mid last year I really wanted the prime rib sandwich, sooo good, and was happy to have had a great service experience. Haven't had a bad one since. Hope it remains like this because the food is really good, and now the staff is too!
We live across the street from one and we love their service. My husband orders his fav “old fashioned and I do the Long Island ice tea. These guys make the best drinks. We are here at least twice every week and love the party room when we bring our kids. The fireplace is our fav spot while we watch the game.
The staff was amazing, especially Grace. We had a large group and she was super quick, efficient and curtious. She got all the little kids orders in quickly which was very thoughtful since the kids were super hungry. The food tasted fresh and well prepared. There were lots of options for almost any dietary needs.
In town visiting a friend a decided to eat here. The food was amazing and had something no matter what you had a taste for. I went with the Lieutenant Dan's shrimp platter with Mac & Cheese and BBQ beans with fried pickles as an appetizer. Wasn't disappointed. The service was amazing as well and all the employees were very friendly.
Super server Omar and excellent food- my salad, son’s spicy shrimp pasta. Kids chicken tenders were just meh and fries weren’t warm. I took the caramel brownie to go and it definitely needs to be heated to enjoy but was tasty, esp a la mode. Very cool decor and a little pricey for what we got, but it’s that kind of north Dallas thing I think.
One of my favorite places to eat in The Colony is 54th Street. I was introduced to this awesome restaurant through a friend of mine. They have the most delicious dishes and a variety of fun foods. My favorite dish are the nachos. You can get them with chicken or beef but I ordered the combination place of both and they were so delicious!!!! I really enjoy the atmosphere it is a great place to go and just relax. The kids menu is also great. We ordered the chicken nuggets and my little nephew ate them all. The service was good. The prices were very economical. Very satisfied customer, Martha
I normally avoid chains like the plague. This is new and we were curious. Holy cow it did not disappoint! The ambience is a notch up from the usual kitschy sports bar spots. I like the openness even though it will be too hot to enjoy very soon. The service was a bit delayed with several folks standing at the hostess station and our table greeting being delayed but hey, they’ve been open all of a week. I will say our server, Brandon was super personable and very competent. The food is the bright star here which made us realize that it is so many times not “the thing” at restaurants. The prime rib fresh drip had us literally moaning after the first several bites (awkward but in a good way). Because we ordered the potato kegs, we replaced fries with a salad as a side. Fresh dressings were delicious. Potato kegs were like tater tots on steroids! Enormous and stuffed with yummy extras. I highly recommend trying this cool place that looks like all the rest and yet is SO NOT.
Great restaurant for eating solo, dating or groups. They have a happy hour from 9pm to 11pm during weekend and I think 4pm to 7pm during week. Our server, Angel, was very attentive and detailed with our order. The cocktails are good and pricex right. They offer mocktails as well. I enjoy the salads and seafood.
First time with my girlfriend and it did not disappoint. Few small things though. No host at the front. Apparently was cut 2 hrs before close, little strange that early. Lots of dirty tables for it not being super busy unless we missed a rush before we got there. And last not much communication when seating people. 2 tables were sat next to us and both asked for a booth. Hmm.. usually it's would you prefer a booth or table. Anyways... the food and drink. The drink was amazing for sure. Lots of flavor 😋. The food... fried pickles were delicious and with a small kick to them as well. Cheese bites were average, not as cheesy and gooey as expected but average. And the last was the tequila wrappers!!! Holy smokes to die for!!! Those alone will bring me back. Server was ok. Didn't really stop by after more than close to 10 minutes after we were eating bit still checked on us a few times after. Overall 4/5. Good job *update.... so came here again after a long day and night at work. Love the cocktails as usual. But the food..... not so good..... the Mac and cheese was cold, and the chicken was under cooked before they brought it out. Once they continued to cook the chicken the pasta became cold. Just remake the whole dish then. My girlfriends dish was not good either. Pasta was too heavy on the sauce and wasn't that good. Chicken and shrimp were good. Just overall now... I hate to give bad reviews and I usually give everyone a chance but strike 2 sadly. Good luck on business and hope this meets you well.... only coming back for drinks if that from now on. ***3rd update ok. Tried for a 3rd time and they redeemed themselves. Taylor was awesome even though she just started. Very attentive and detail oriented for sure. Our food was delicious. Even sold me on some carrot cake which was fire! Looks like happy hour food and drinks are the killr things here for sure. Thanks again Taylor for bringing it back!!!
~ The manager asked how everything was and I told him the Dr. Pepper sucked. The carbonation is wayyyy off. He sent the waitress to ask if we wanted something else to drink and we asked her if they changed anything and she said the manager checked and said it’s fine. I love 54th St, but will never be back to this location.
Sat at bar w 2 friends to watch college football. Here for over 5 hours and the lack of attention for food and beverage service was deplorable. Bar staff was very attentive to the wait staff/restaurant needs but practically ignored anyone around the bar. We only received drink or food when we flagged them down. Worst experience! If the games hadn't been so good we'd have left to find a much more attentive/appreciative establishment. Could've easily walked out on our table as Brett and the others would've never known we left. As an example, friends Diet coke glass was from 2:30 arrival - no refill or removal, its 8pm. Just saying. Youll see it in my pics of our dead and long abandoned soldiers. Lots of lost revenue and opportunity... we were 3 of many over the 5+ hours we hung tough.
