5 star purely for the vibe and atmosphere plus beer. It's a nice hangout place to come with your dog and friends. It's 21+ age restricted after 9 pm, which is nice. They have live music during the weekends. The food here is meh. The rotating food trucks are alright, some good food but really pricey for what you get. The food from the buildings are cheaper but can't say better. I've only gotten the cheesesteak and it was really salty. The flavors were good otherwise just ruined with extra salt. The beers from the bars are worth coming just for that.

This is a great place to hang out. We went for dessert and had the churros. They were okay. I would not get them again. The other food people ordered looked good, and I will go back for that. The Baked Bear was there, and I know they have great desserts. The live music was great. They do allow dogs and unfortunately not everyone cleans up after their own pets. It wasn’t a huge problem though. The only suggestion I have is to have wipes or something available l, so that patrons can clean their tables. The table we wanted to sit at had food spilled on it, and I could only clean it so much with napkins. Overall, it’s a definitely a place you want to visit especially at night.

POV- you’re in Texas for the first time on a Saturday night visiting fam, what’s better than this scene on a Saturday night? Honestly nothing - The vibes are exactly what you want, the mixed drinks, while batched, at other bars you’re disappointed..not here, the liquor is present and the flavor is solid. The bartenders, HONESTLY , the nicest I’ve ever encountered (shout out to Robin because she is tops 🤍🤍) . Dog friendly, live music, casual Texas scene, 1000% recommend. Did I just fall in love with Texas?

Cool place with lots of outdoor seating and the vibe is pretty good. The weather was perfect to hang out with friends and have a couple of beers. Lots of beers to choose from and variety of food options. Would be back more often!!

Great place! Very cool aesthetic and atmosphere. I'm an atmosphere person, so I appreciate all of the hard work and detail put into this place. The tables are spaced out well enough to offer privacy. Food is fine, drinks are good. All in all, I'd definitely recommend and come back again. Also, good live music!

This place is still amazing. Just keeps getting better with time. Love their cheese steaks and bars! Great casual setting with live music and outdoor games. They even have food trucks!! Pro tip: all the bars are connected to the same system so you can close out anywhere!

Always a fun place to chill. This trip we took the 12 year old kid. Noon on a Sunday, they had live music starting at 1pm. Beautiful Spring day with a nice temperature & breeze. There is a Philli Cheese Steak place that is always a winner. I tired one of the visiting food trucks & really enjoyed the Asian wings. We played some typical bar games that are located in the back of the main bar. Always a good time & great place to chill on a nice day or night.

Amazing place for an evening out with family or friends. Nice options with the trucks or the steak kitchen. Unfortunately the heated seatings are very few and the smoke sometimes can be a bother. The seating near the kitchen is Warm but again seats only 6 groups or so.

Really cool place, lots of space to spread out and find some shade. Yard games, full bar, cold beer. Lots of food options such as smash burger, chicken finger, tacos and phillys. They have funnel cakes, and fresh squeezed lemonade too! Kid friendly and live music too

Loved the vibe here! My first time to this location and it's way bigger than the Dallas location. I actually prefer this location more because the staff here just seems friendlier! One of the bartenders, Mike, happened to serve us with the quickness and plus the drinks were actually really good! The cheesesteak here and maybe it's just me, but I think it tasted better than the Dallas location too. I'd definitely recommend coming here!

Hello Texas! I feel like I'm at a family reunion at a barn. Totally love the ambience. Don't come here if you can't chill. Lots of food via food trucks, drinks, and icecream. If you come on the weekends there may not be parking or seating for you. That's how happening and cool this place is. Live Music Thursday-Friday. Kid friendly and dog friendly.

I had been wanting to give the Truck Yard a try in the Colony and was so happy that my friends and I have a chance to go last night! 😎 We were drinking the Twisted Mules, they were super tasty! We got there at about 6:00 on a Friday night and it was already pretty packed so we got a table upstairs. Fun decor, a beer chandelier, toilet seat art, rusted out old beater cars. Doesn't sound like what one might think of cute Decor but it all worked really well together. I liked the assortment of lawn chairs in the yard for seating. They had a stage set up and multiple points to get drinks and play games. They had about four or five food trucks with a selection of different types of foods. We had the fish and shrimp from one and a appetizer selection from another, both were pretty good. The music they had was really good, they had an opening act who was more of a solo guitar singer and then later in the evening had a band that had a really good variety of covers with a fierce fiddle. I love the laid-back environment, makes me feel like I am back in Austin. I will most certainly be back! 👏

This was such a cool location. I met a friend ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday and was so impressed by the atmosphere. We got a few beers at Beared Science Sour House, but I can't wait to go back and try more.

This place is Phenomenal!! Yes, I was the woman who took her kids to the bar, but the atmosphere was so chill and fun and laid back, you relax the instant you walk in. Everything is quirky and fun and everywhere you turn there is something fun to discover. Everyone was friendly, especially the super great cool guys who were making DELICIOUS philly cheese steaks. They went out of their way to be helpful and friendly and nice. My drink was good and strong, a little pricy but I enjoyed it and the bartender was helpful. We went on a Wednesday. It was full but didn't feel crowded. Wait times were minimal. I have been suggesting everyone I know go here. We loved it. And yes, while probably better suited to adults, my kids had a good time and we did see other families there.

My friend and I loved this location. Great atmosphere! Much bigger and better than the Dallas location. Pretty large parking lot too, which you might have to walk somewhat of a distance though if no spaces are found closer to the building. Some trucks where even parked on the grass. Pet friendly. Kids are okay to come in before 9pm, but after that time, only 21+ and IDs are checked at the entrance. If you're there with kids before 9, you may continue to stay longer. Live music the Saturday we were there. A shipping container serves as the outdoor bar and stairs on the side for more sitting on top. Two large buildings with more bars and more sitting. Behind you'll also find a game area with lots of games to choose from. You will also find the Toilet Seat Art Museum, which has a lot of pretty interesting displays. Food trucks that day did not disappoint either. Will definitely go back any time I can.

An absolute MUST visit place for your next date night, girls night out or Sunday football watching with the guys! There are so many unique sitting areas that make it a perfect place to relax with friends while enjoying one of the multiple food trucks located on site or grabbing a drink at the bar. Truck Yard is such a fun spot to hang out. I’ve been a few times when they had live music and the atmosphere is always great for a casual night out with friends. The whole place has this cool, mismatched design that feels like a backyard party, with plenty of different zones so you and your group can find an area that fits your vibe. Plus, the rotating food trucks are great for late-night snacking. And you can’t skip the Toilet Seat Art Museum on the second floor. It’s weird in the best way and totally fits the vibe. Definitely one of the most unique places to chill in town!

One of the highlights for us was spending time in the poker room—super fun vibe, friendly competition, and a perfect spot to hang out and unwind. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive throughout our visit. They made us feel right at home, checking in regularly without ever being overbearing. You can tell they actually enjoy being there and making sure everyone else does too. Now let’s talk about the food—the Philly cheesesteak sandwich was out of this world! Recommend the lobster truck - the lobster fries are excellent. Second Rodeo Brewing has some great drinks on tap and you can take a growler home with you at the end - fantastic sour beers. Good event space too for large parties.

A really safe place for any gals looking to eat healthy. Always love the live music at this spot they always feature such amazing up-and-coming artists who deserve the stage time! The vibe is great, and there are so many food trucks to choose from. My family and I are big taco lovers, so when we saw the crowd around Taco King, we had to check it out. The food was incredible! It’s the first taco truck I’ve ever seen serving grass-fed carne asada and you can truly taste the difference!

Absolutely the best/coolest place to go for good music, great food and even better beer! The atmosphere is so inviting. Every time we get a chance to go - we do. And every time I have visitors from out of town, this is where I bring them. Highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed.

This was such a great experience! I was equally impressed by the decor as I was the keen attention to detail in the seating area. The brisket Mac and cheese tasted just as barbecue sauce was poured on the brisket and the Mac was so bland. On the other hand, the Birria egg rolls were really different and good! The only downside was the heat. I would suggest fans or a system to circulate air/mist in the seating areas! Hydrate before you go..

Truck Yard is a great venue for hanging out and having drinks with a group of friends. Especially when Texas is having it's patio weather. The place is massive with indoor and outdoor seating. They are dog friendly, have live music, food trucks and an indoor restaurant that serves up delicious cheesesteaks. The beverage selection is quite extensive (except for wine - they only have canned) and they craft up seasonal cocktails (currently ranging in names from Oatmeal Cookie to Duck Fart lol). They have beer and mimosa buckets. And, my personal favorite, a selection of non-alcholic / mocktail drinks. In the summer they have designated BYOP (bring your own pool) nights. You can bring a baby pool / inflatable pool to relax in right in front of the stage. And they have some fun contests with the pool attendees. There's a toiled seat art museum, which you could miss if you don't know it's there. It's free and worth popping in. There's tons of parking within 3 lots. Depending on which lot you're in you may have to hike up a hill. They also offer valet Friday and Saturday after 4:00pm for $7.

Great place for families and friends! Atmosphere is fantastic, with lots of places to sit and eat. Live music and great decorations too. Parking could challenging at times.

We went mid week on a wet/chilly day for lunch about a month ago. Parking was easy and every seating option was available. The concept is great, and we would love to return when there is more of a crowd the next time we are visiting the area. We had drinks from a couple bars (friendly service) and food from two food trucks (also very friendly). The food took quite a while even though there were so few people there. It was fine for us that day, but something to consider if you’re starving or in a time crunch. We sat indoors so our food wouldn’t get cold too quickly and also to avoid smelling like campfire since a few fire pits were going. Felt comfortable having our teens with us. A couple other families with younger kids arrived while we were there, too.

Only had beer but it had a great atmosphere and the greatest feature I've ever seen in a bar: The Toilet Seat Museum. It was a collection of 1400 toilet lids and seats that had been lovingly decorated over the past 40 or so years. I won't ruin any of the surprises, because IT IS A MUST GO! They also have some pretty original beers and fun cocktails. Will definitely be back next time I'm anywhere near Dallas/Plano. Thank y'all for the awesome vibes. Great place to hangout with family, friends or people from work. Amazing concept of having multiple bars with different drink options and the best part is you only run a single tab across all bars. Live music and pet friendly place. Came here with my kids (2 & 8) and they had a blast being outdoor as it’s quite spacious. Whenever the weather is great we try to make it here. Oh and they have different food trucks during the week plus their inside kitchen serves one of the best Philly cheese steaks!!!

Love the truckyard. It was one of the first places I went when I moved up here and it did not let me down. I love bringing people here. They always have great activities for holidays, great food at the trucks, and great drinks! Also, they constantly have live music which is always great.

We had a great experience at their Oktoberfest event, it was our first time attending. The bartender, Naddie by the stage was amazing! Told us all about the event and what activities were coming up for the day. She told us where to find the themed food too. We chose to keep coming back to her for our beer. Wish I hadn’t missed the wiener dog races! lol We will definitely be back. So fun!

It's always fun coming to the truck yard. We have been here twice with our son, and even though it's more for the older crowd, the kids have fun here. A great place to go to unwind have a drink and some food while listening to music or playing some games. Kids are always there, so we make it a family date night.

Truck Yard is located on Grove Ln off Destination Dr in The Colony area. Yup, everything is bigger in Texas and this place is no different! Truck Yard is like a huge beer garden with tons of open space and seating all over the place, and I dunno, there's probably like 4 or 5 different sections to buy beer. There's also food trucks on site with a decent selection of food choices. And, for whatever reason, and I loved it, they have a toilet seat art museum on-site as well; Barney Smith's Toilet Seat Art Museum. There's no charge to check it out, so... check it out. They've got an outside stage for live performances too. When the weather's nice, grab a drink, some food, and sit back and just relax.

We were planning to just go there for a quick lunch but ended up staying few hours because the weather was amazing. It’s a great place to hang out, get some food from the trucks and drinks. The service was great, place was clean and had a good options of food and drinks. Things are o. The pricey side but the I think is worth it for the vibe and cleanliness.

We went for some food and a couple beers on a Saturday night. It was pretty busy but the line for the bar moved quickly and the bartender was friendly. We went to the Avila food truck and got the birria loaded fries (the birria eggrolls were sold out) The fries were huge, could easily feed 4 people. Pretty tasty! The man taking orders at the food truck was friendly as well. We found a spot at a picnic table to sit down and enjoy our food and drinks. When we finished we moved closer to the stage to sit and watch a live band play some music. People seemed to be having a good time, people were up dancing. There’s also a convenient bar right next to the stage if you need a drink refill. The ambiance was enjoyable, very laid back with overall good vibes. We will be back 😊

I really love this restaurant! It’s very spacious, and the atmosphere is great. I tried the cucumber sour beer—it was amazing. In the afternoon, there’s also live singing. The second floor of the restaurant is a toilet museum, which is definitely worth visiting. It’s a perfect place to hang out and chat.

They meat was good although the consume was like a broth. Just brothy not flavorful from the meat that was cooked. I love me so real authentic consume so that was a little sad. Definitely over priced but I get it. It’s so for the atmosphere.. Potatoes Pie has a really good kick to it! So if you like spicy you will like it! Live band was cool Bathrooms were freaking decked out!! Kids inside before 9pm stay. They do start to ID after 9pm

This place is unique and awesome to hang out. Food trucks, outside seating with fun seating. It's great to hang out for adults and even bring the kids. We enjoyed the atmosphere.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and variety of food trucks available. Also the bar has good variety of beers on the tap and food tastes good. The entrance with strip of cars and fire pits for seating groups is planned well.

Interesting place for a family or friends hangout. Decent selection of food from food trucks and beverages from the bar. It's pretty much open to the elements and so you'll need to bundle up if it is cold. There might be a few indoor seating areas as well.

Was there a couple days ago and I had a good time. Food was good, drinks and environment were great. The only thing that kind of killed the vibe was turning off the music and playing the game throughout the yard. If I'd wanted to listen to the game going on I would go sit in the area that has a tv showing the game. Not everyone likes sports, but I understand many do.

This is a wonderful place in colony with excellent atmosphere. It has games like corn hole, chess etc. Drinks are good as well. But both days we went there were limited options for food. But overall it’s a great place to chill and hangout. It has live music on certain days. Make sure the weather is good when you go :)

This is a good place for a group of friends to chill, have a drink or too, and enjoy the music. In my opinion, the food trucks lack variety and they are a bit pricey for what it is. Just my opinion, of course. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the live music! And depending where you sit, you can watch live sports too!

Fun place with outdoor seating, live music, lot of quick bite options and a brewery to boot!! It was late summer evening and it was perfect for people to relax and enjoy what this place had to offer. It was first for me and I was taken in with all the trucks upside down lining the entry path!! There was a lot of hustle and bustle as it was a Friday evening. It is a pet friendly place too and you can have fun with a group, a pet or looking to chill alone 😍🍻

All is good, relaxing, appealing.. food is a little bit on the expensive side ... rest is good to relax and enjoying your evening or nighttime outside in an open environment...

The vibes are the best at the truck yard! They have great drinks and live music. Plenty of seating and great areas all around. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the bar staff was not the friendliest but they did their job right! The food staff was not the friendliest either but that’s not part of the truck yeard.

The place was nice but wish there was more of a variety of foods. The drinks were great and I'd definitely go back maybe during the spring or fall. It is outdoors so not recommend for cold nights, although there was a fire pit, they were all taken and I'm sure on super hot summer days it's probably too hot to sit outdoors.

Great vibes and a beautiful outdoor area! The brews are a bit pricey, but the food truck variety is excellent. I grabbed the beef nachos and they were pretty decent. Definitely worth a visit!

I went on a Tuesday evening, the place it's Huge, different bars and tastes.....usted be great ona fall night with the fireplaces. Live music awesome!!

We drove in from out of town and wanted to spend the evening relaxing listening to live music while getting a bite to eat/drink. The setup is really cool. They have yard games, plenty of fun seating, several bar areas (one being a brewery), food trucks, and a toilet seat museum (which was a little odd). Lol We were there on a weekday, so it wasn’t as lively as I’m sure it is on the weekend. There were only two food trucks open that day…tacos and desserts. We were not really in the mood for that particular kind of food, so we just ordered drinks (Happy Hour), listened to the music and enjoyed the rest of the evening.

Great vibe with live music over food & drinks. Just grab your favorite old style table and grab your drinks, its going to be amazing. Had a great family time from 7 to 9 pm, its dog friendly too. Not too crowded on a Thursday evening, and its worth visiting it you are in Dallas. Kids are allowed too but be careful as there are rusty vans and stones around.

We thoroughly enjoy truck yards and the different options they have as a business. I will say this was not our favorite location as it a little larger/busier than others, however, it is still a good…

Truck Yard is a really fun atmosphere. The live music, food trucks, and outdoor games give a solid Austin vibe. The challenge I've observed over the years is the staff attitude. They act extremely entitled; it's like they are doing you a favor by selling you drinks. It's not like they are cheap pours either. Maybe they figure customer service doesn't matter since the suggested gratuity starts at 20% and moves up from there. Regardless, if the staff was a bit better, this place would be a home run. As is, it's a solid 3-star establishment.

It was solid. Upper tier drink prices, even higher tier food prices for mid food honestly but, service was cool and the drink selection can be cool. Environment is pretty chill though I did appreciate the decorations. All in all, I would say I’d come back but idk if I would get the food again. Especially the taco place kind of just gave me some dry carne asada tacos and they were out of the orange hot sauce and didn’t bother refilling it, idk if they didn’t have more or if they just didn’t feel like it but, for like $5.50 a taco or something like that I was a little underimpressed

I went up here on a Sunday and met up with some other friends. It was my first time there. It was very aesthetically pleasing, love the idea of having board games and TVs, drinks were good. I didn’t care much for the music that day but I hear that they have karaoke and they have other music etc. and that it does get really good so I would go back again and give it another shot.

This is such a cool spot to hang out at. Lotsa creative seating arrangements, open fires for chilly days, repurposed car parts and furniture, and a stage for live music. There were a few food carts, too. Unfortunately, if you, like me, happen to be vegan and sober, you will have very little to do here, as it centers on alcohol and there were literally zero vegan options when I was there, either indoors or at the few food carts stationed outside.

Quality and quantity have decreased in the last couple of years. Still one of the better cheesesteaks in the city.

We enjoy the Truck Yard, but we're concerned by the fact that a place that is probably raking in some cash only has about 5 fire pits and no portable standing propane heaters in a very large outdoor …

Food was good, though it took about 20–30 minutes for each dish to arrive. The bar staff were friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, our experience was negatively impacted by an interaction with security. One member of our party briefly went to retrieve a jacket from our car and unknowingly re-entered through the wrong gate. While we understand now that the gate is designated for employees only, the security guard handled the situation in a needlessly confrontational way. He spoke condescendingly, referenced the signage repeatedly, and implied that my brother-in-law could not read—even after an apology and explanation were given. The biggest concern we have is that multiple people walked in and out through the same gate after the conversation was had. If the policy is the establishments rule, we understand it and respect it. However please equally disrupt the policy so people don’t feel targeted. This could have been a quick, respectful correction, but instead felt unnecessarily rude and uncomfortable. Clear communication is important, but so is basic courtesy.

Food takes forever even when the place is fairly empty. If you don’t mind over paying for subpar food and drinks it’s a decent spot. Staff were not specifically friendly nor was I impressed with how they addressed people in general. The older guy doing security seemed especially grouchy and like he thought he was better than everyone based on an interaction I witnessed.

Carly was very rude and unprofessional. we were trying to get our friend off the property without causing a scene and she said “don’t touch me, take a bucket and don’t bring it back” with an eye roll. As if we asked for our friend to not feel good. As we exited the property she made other remarks. love this place but not this employee. Would stop me from attending with her awful attitude.

This was a very bad experience. We were already getting ready to leave when the staff started cleaning up, and their attitude was clearly impatient. After that, the situation escalated in a way that was completely unacceptable — one staff member became emotional and appeared to attempt to physically confront us. As customers, we should never feel unsafe in a bar under any circumstances. This showed a serious lack of professionalism and poor management. The overall experience was shocking and left us feeling uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place.
