Atmosphere & Authenticity: Walking in feels like stepping into a proper British local, complete with cozy booths, dark wood, Union Jacks, and even a red phone booth! The atmosphere is warm, lively, and perfect for everything from a casual pint to a full meal with friends or family. Food That Shines: The menu is a highlight, featuring classic British pub fare done right. The Fish & Chips are legendary – consistently cited as some of the best in the Houston area by sources like Houston Chronicle ("crisp, golden batter" and "flaky fish") and Eater Houston (included in "Essential Houston Restaurants" lists). Our order lived up to the hype: perfectly crispy batter enveloping tender, flaky cod, served with proper mushy peas and thick-cut chips. The Shepherd's Pie was another standout – hearty, flavorful, and deeply comforting. Portions are generous. Drinks & Service: The bar boasts an impressive selection of British and European beers on tap (including well-kept cask ales at proper cellar temperature, as mentioned on their website) and bottled imports you won't easily find elsewhere. The whisky selection is also noteworthy. The service was fantastic – attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and beers, and genuinely friendly, The Whole Package: Whether you're catching a Premier League match (they show them all!), enjoying a lively weekend night, or having a relaxed family Sunday lunch (yes, it's family-friendly!), The Blue Lion nails it. The patiov is also a great spot when the weather cooperates. Minor Note: It can get bustling, especially during big games or weekends, but that's part of the authentic pub energy! Reservations are recommended for dinner. Final Verdict: The Blue Lion Pub absolutely lives up to its stellar reputation. It delivers an authentic British pub experience with outstanding food (especially the Fish & Chips!), a fantastic beer selection, and top-notch, welcoming service. It's a cornerstone of The Woodlands dining and social scene for excellent reasons. We went last night and enjoyed every minute! The food was great and the atmosphere was fun! Our waiter was very attentive. The best part was the music. Sean Strelecki is a very talented entertainer. I am a bit biased being his mother. I highly recommend this restaurant/pub.

The new Blue Lion Pub and Restaurant is a very casual and fantastic place to watch your favourite sports team, eat great food, and wash it down with your favourite brew!! This is an LGBTQIA Safe space as well!! The owners, management, and staff are world class people and take their time to ensure you're taken care of. The Pub side is a lot larger than their old location with all the football and rugby swag you can think of!! The restaurant side is pretty much the same size as the pub side and also has a load of sports swag! There's also a stage for bands to perform on!! Lead Bartenders Laura and Marichka did amazing work during my first visit. Congratulations to Wes Cordova, Kristi Sides, and the new investors for rebirthing this world class establishment!!

My fiancé's band played here for the first time. I was so impressed! They have a lovely green room, for the band. The hambuger was really delish. The sound is so great in here. The highlight of my night, was my sweet waitress, Marichka! Her customer service is outstanding!! She's actually a bartender tender here, but I was lucky enough to be here on a night she was filling in for wait staff. Kind, attentive and excellent!

This was our first time visiting, after hearing about it for a while. The food did not disappoint- chicken fried steak, hash browns, biscuits, grits, chicken sausage and gravy. All were divine. $4 mimosas during brunch- such a steal. Great chill vibe and family friendly. Rachel was a great server. Kind and on top of it. She even picked up our kiddos banana peel with no hesitation 😂 We’ll be back!

Deep in The Woodlands but a gem of a pub. Not sure if the menu was explicitly for the Valentine's Day event but it was very nice. Went for the Tracy Perez Band and they did a GREAT job as always. Service may have been hindered because of the event but for the most part she did good. Nice space, food was good, entertainment was phenomenal. Definitely coming back.

Really appreciated the vibe at the Blue Lion Pub. We had breakfast there and we're not disappointed! My wife had the homemade Vanilla Bean flavored latte along with the chicken and waffles, and I had the perfectly cooked eggs over medium sandwich. Loved the laid back atmosphere and live music (not too loud, perfect for some background tunes and conversation). Rachel took good care of us, we will definitely be back!

This place is so cool. We saw a live band for Valentines day and we had a awesome meal. The wait staff is very friendly. Drinks were on point. I would definitely recommend the place for a cool date nite.

We shared brunch this morning with friends who are visiting from out of the country. The atmosphere was inviting, the food was delectable, and the live music was perfect, setting a chill vibe on a Sunday morning without overpowering our much needed, catch-up, conversation. Also, the owners of this establishment, Millie and Travis are always welcoming and the quintessential hosts. I highly recommend the Blue Lion Pub!

Came here for the first time with some friends and had a great time! Tried a couple of their cocktails and they were delicious. This spot is newly re vamped and the bar is a cozy little spot. Good food and great service, will def be back!

After other customers had left, it took quite a while before those tables were cleaned. The restaurant wasn't that busy even during karaoke. We were asked to come back but not sure.

Friendly staff all around. We had a four course meal, food came out promptly. Bathroom was descent the whole evening. It took a while for our server to make it to us all evening. Drinks were poor to average. Ordered a lemon drop martini and it had a taste of coconut. I mentioned to the waitress, she replaced our drink. She apologized and mentioned the bartender used coconut to make the previous drink. Do they wash the cocktail shaker, etc.? Price was definitely on the high side (food & drinks).

Environment and service was good but do not get the steak and eggs here. For $20+ you’ll get a paper thin cut of what tasted and looked like flank steak. It’s not what you’d imagine when you think of ribeye and eggs like advertised on the menu. Overall a pretty disappointing experience.

I went to the previous location and was pleased, but today was TERRIBLE. Go to On The Kurb before you go to The Blue Lion. I'd like to apologize to the staff for being a patron, I guess... my 12 year old daughter was in tears because of how RUDE the male wait staff was to me, asking me why I didn't defend myself when he was so rude and ROLLING HIS EYES at me! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I had a horrible experience @ this establishment on Friday. I ordered a shot of Patron. I received my shot. It was definitely not patron it was extremely strong & literally burned my throat. I barely took a sip of it. I immediately pushed it away & notified the waiter . She took the glass away. The waiter Stacy claimed there was enough Patron to make 1 shot therefore my coworker ordered a different shot. We asked for our tabs. All of sudden we get Allie a manager that’s rude as hell insisting that I pay for a shot that I didn’t drink. I told her that I wasn’t paying for it. She stated that the bartender exported Parton. That I would need to pay for it. She made the comment that she would run the camera back I said I’m not paying for it. My coworker paid it. Let her know that money isn’t an issue. She asked for the owners name she only wrote down a email & walked away not evening acknowledging my coworker request. She didn’t even wait for my coworker to process her payment she left the payment terminal on the table. She shouldn’t be a manager because her customer service skills are unbelievable. To be in a management position you have to try to deescalate a situation & come to a conclusion to satisfy a customer. Not argue with a customer. She needs to take some anger management classes. More training on customer service
