I enjoyed my lunch here.
The burgers are fresh and delicious. The wait can be a little long during peak hours but that goes for any place. The bbq chicken salad is great from there. A lot of sides to choose from. Good food for the price.
The Santa Barbara charr is by far out of this world. Fresh, filling, and very hearty. Food was made in no time and the staff was very kind.
I love knowing what I'm going to get on a consistent basis. I have counted on the habit for so much last minute meal help over the years. Always here for me!!! I love that they have Cholula to spice up the ranch dressing for my tempura green beans and everything else!!! Thanks, the Habit! ❤️🌈

I love this place! It has the best veggie burger in my opinion. I also love their sides such as tempura green beans and sweet potato fries! They always have interesting juice & tea drinks, not just soda.
The employees at this Habit Burger are super friendly and provide excellent service. The food is super I enjoy their grilled Tuna. I have been watching the carbs and they were great about very accommodating by letting me customize my order.
1st time here and had a gentleman by the name of Jake take my order . My order was complicated and although I may have been a bit rude he was never out of hand was extremely polite and kind . He made sure he got all the order correct and had Everything right ,customer service was fantastic, going above and beyond for us before leaving the restaurant. I apologize for being rude ,I was (HANGRY) ..come to find out it was his 3rd day . Thank you.
Food is always delicious and food order is always correct. Tip for management if reading this, the last several times I ordered a salad and paid for the extra avacado, the amount of avacado has been extremely insignificant. It was the amount of 1/4 of a normal avacado. Please add more avacado if paying extra!

Love this place! The char burger is good but the Santa Barbara is delicious. Costumer service is kind and always ready to serve you, specially Lulu is one the best employees, she always makes sure you get the greatest service and a happy face! You feel like coming back often. I definitely recommend this place.
I've eaten many times and the food is consistently good. Quality ingredients and freshly made without having to wait too long. Today Brittany checked me in and processed my order. It was busy, but she remained friendly, professional, and helpful. I haven't seen her at the location before, but she's a good face for the restaurant as it's important to have someone patient and friendly when you first come in.
I'm not a person to shill for corporate or chain restaurants. However the habit has consistently been my favorite over any other Burger place. The service here has always been good I don't understand the other reviews saying it's not as I eat here very often and quite honestly never had a negative experience. I'm not the kind of person to use a kiosk but frankly sometimes it takes longer for certain people to order or pay, so recently I've begun using the kiosks to speed my own order up. I do prefer to have a cashier there I have to say it's nice having a human touch. Otherwise it's just a glorified McDonald's. And the most important part is ...the burgers tastes great!
Easy to order take out. The wait wasn't very long at 8 pm. Good selection of drinks and juices. Clean dining area and restrooms. The staff was nice and courteous.

Guy behind the counter handling my food has 3 inch nails painted Blue! 🤢 Lost my appetite as he handed me my food. Also the toilet flush never works here. There was also something small but unchewable in the patty! Not sure if it was a piece of bone or what but almost broke my tooth. Food is ok, but the other stuff kills it for me. Last time I was here, flush didn’t work and it’s only one toilet/bathroom not sure why it doesn’t get addressed.
We've been going to this location for many years and my husband, two teenagers and myself have always loved this place because of their consistently good quality food and great service. That being said, we've noticed their prices creeping up and serving portions creeping down, namely their salads. For this reason we've already seriously decreased our visits which is unfortunate because we've always loved this restaurant chain and have been long time customers.
One of my favorite hamburger chains and ranked above in and out in my book. Their regular cheeseburger is already great but my favorite is their Santa Barbara burger. Give her a try, you won't regret it. The service at this location is fantastic as is the service at their original shop in Ventura.
Habit is (reasonably) high end and this location, while somewhat hidden, is an excellent destination to have a "very tasty burger". Staff was friendly and service was as prompt as it can be at a fast casual restaurant. Personally, I like to see a Coca-cola Freestyle machine as restaurants in this category, but the presence of the custom Lemonade/nectars was a decent substitute. While I wouldn't seek this specific location out for a repeat visit, if I was in the area and had a hunger for a burger, I'd consider stopping in again.
The Habit is a decent burger place if you everywhere else is busy. It is a little pricey considering the quality of the burger. The burger isn't bad, but there is nothing to me that stands out. If you have small children, however, it might be the best option for you. Each child's burger comes with a gummy in the shape of a burger. Usually if you just ask, they will give you some extra gummies for free. Besides that, if you looking for an exceptionally good burger, there are better options in town.
I tried to order online but there was no option for using a gift card for payment. I was trying to avoid waiting for my order. It seems like an easy fix. Also, the phone directions said that the restaurant was located on Hillcrest Boulevard but it is Hillcrest Drive. Also an easy fix.

This is the kind of place that you want to visit when you want to enjoy your fast food slowly. The burgers are fairly large. I ordered chicken but my friend ordered beef and he was able to choose whether he wanted it rare, medium, or well-done. We both liked our sandwiches. I would visit again.
Visiting from out of town and wanted a quick burger that wasn't in-n-out. It was good over all. Fries were good. The heaters outside were not all working which was kind of a bummer and none of the staff knew how to operate them. Overall a good spot to stop!
Your chicken sandwich is delicious as always. But this time my Strawberry Limeade was watered down. I'll still keep coming back for more!

The content of my burger was excellent, but the bun was on the dry side. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked, soft inside and slightly crispy outside. My son said his Ahi Tuna was fresh and tasty. His french fries were too salty to eat. Shortly after we arrived, the place was hopping. I stopped counting at 22 people who came in during our visit. Will probably not return. Food OK, the Habit does (or at least did before the takeover) make a good burger. This was the first time in a while since I have had one. But... Customer service could be MUCH better, most people do not like to be told off, even if we have made a mistake. Without signage with respect to this Covid19 virus it is not obvious on what to do, as everyone has different rules. As I said, if I do not like the way I am treated, I do not return.
I love this restaurant, but this location leaves something to be desired. Two different employees in the same visit made me wonder if I was speaking English or gibberish. When I got home my order was literally the opposite of what I had asked for. I recommend the location on Madera near the Target, they are always 100%!

As always the food was great at the Habit. Fresh made to order char grilled burgers are where it is at. Been coming to the Habit for years and have eaten at many different locations. This one in particular stood out in my mind but not for a good reason. This particular location was very dirty and not well kept. Tables were dirty, the bathroom was a mess and the most annoying part was there were plenty of employees standing around waiting for customers instead of cleaning tables or tidying up the restroom. I could understand if it was busy but when I ate here there were two people sitting at the tables already eating their food besides me. Next time I am in the area I will probably hit up the In N Out down the road.
Just tried the new chicken teriyaki sandwich. Flavor was better than average - but dripping of mayo. The worst part is the chicken. Where's the beef? Where the heck is the chicken? Very thinly sliced and served on extra thick bread. Charge a dollar more and give folks a meal! This sandwich would not satisfy an anorexia patient. Rates 0 for value and 3 for taste.

The salad I’ve regularly ordered is now noticeably smaller and more expensive. Overall, it’s disappointing to see the quality and experience decline while prices go up. Making customers feel shortchanged isn’t a sustainable approach.
I ordered a sandwich over the phone. I asked for it with grilled onions and BBQ sauce on ciabatta bread. Everything was wrong; they gave it to me without BBQ sauce on a sourdough bread and my order was for to go I did not have the time to go back to return my order I was on my lunch time really disappointed

At 2:30 PM on 12/15/23 at the Habit Burger in Thousand Oaks on Hillcrest, I witnessed a female line cook use her gloved hands to remove raw chicken from a drawer and place it on the grill. I then witnessed her use the same gloved hands to prepare hamburgers on the line and give them to the customers. No change of gloves!!!... it was despicable. There were multiple managers nearby and other workers and no one corrected this. I'm so upset.
Burgers here used to be great, I don't know what happened but both the wife and my burgers had multiple grissel pieces of un-chewable whatever in them and tasted strange. And it's not the first time but most likely the last ! Unfortunately like most fast food places quality is going down and prices are going up.
The best of the worst fast food chains. Took forever to someone to take my order and there was NO ONE in front of me. The absolute worst service and so disorganized the place was dirty and messy. This was NOT a one off. It was the second visit in two weeks and it was the second time this happened. Habit? No , a really really bad experience twice!!
Quality Issue and Poor Service Resolution I placed an order through the Habit mobile app. When I received my drink, it was completely flat with no carbonation. I politely requested a replacement, and the staff confirmed that they were experiencing a carbonation issue across the store. I then asked the manager for a refund, as the product received was defective. The manager refused to process a local refund, stating that because the order was placed through the app, I had to contact corporate customer service directly. While I have generally enjoyed The Habit in the past, denying a direct refund for a product acknowledged to be defective reflects very poor in-store customer service. This policy creates unnecessary friction for the customer. If I cannot rely on the local management to resolve simple quality issues, I will be hesitant to return.
Incredibly bad curbside service. I will never again get curbside from an organization where they simply don't care about the customer experience. I ordered for 5:50 PM. They didn't bring it out until 6:07 PM. 17 minutes after they texted saying it would be out "soon". Assuming the food was made when they claimed, that was enough time to result in all the food being cold, hard burgers, soggy cold fries, and we were the lucky ones to get the Sprite that was out of syrup and was essentially expensive soda water. All this on a random Wednesday night where they were clearly not busy. This display of incompetence is simply proof that some places maybe shouldn't offer curbside if they're incapable actually achieving it. Habit App Order #01-1051
Just called to let them know the salad they made today was bad. The chicken had a horrible taste. They comment was sorry mam, you need to go to the website and let them know there. I just wanted them to know they may gave some bad meat on hand. I don't think I can ever eat here again. Sad, I used to like rhis restaurant.
Visited the Habit for a burger for me and a veggie burger for my wife. My burger was waaay over cooked and could be used as a projectile, My wife's plant burger was raw and cut into by about 40%, revealing a pink substance...I thought it was plant based? She did not eat it! These was no way to talk to the manager on the phone and corporate did not care - as they have an area on their site to leave your complaint. Customer service called and was helpless. They asked for the date of my visit and I provided it, but they could nit find the transaction and recommended to ask my CC provider to step in. This happened last month, and I have not been back to Habit since. They are on the "never again" list.
Some guy that worked there was flirting with other guys not paying attention. They would not take your order in customer services horrible here. So me and my party of six l Went to chick fil a Had a great lunch.
