Review at opening, so one can only imagine how busy this establishment gets. Intriguing decorations of snow shoes and local history. Hardy foodstuffs on menu, and and beer (bottled and two on draft). Friendly waitstaff and clean bathroom. In December 2021 Larry Sharpe stopped here during his campaign for NY Governor.

We stayed at the hotel and had dinner at their restaurant. The service was really good and the food was good too. The menu is limited but they have a decent variety of choices. It's a little difficult to find if you are just looking for the restaurant but you have to go through the main doors of the hotel to get to the restaurant.

Came from out of town (6 hours away, from Philadelphia) & this place popped up on Google maps, glad it did! There was no wait. The bread for the appetizer was good! I ordered chicken parm & it came with either soup or salad, I got the chicken corn chowder and OMG (litetally my favorite soup) it was sooo good that I ordered a bowl to go lol 😅 I also had my 6 & 3 year old with me as well & the waitress treated them so well & she also gave them a pack of Oreo's at the end. Will be coming here again the next time I come to Ticonderoga 😁

We took my Mom out for an early Birthday dinner Thursday evening (no reservation), we ended up here after another restaurant came up short on their lack of available entrees and beverages. We now live in Maryland, just outside Washington DC, but everyone in the party (of 6) was a Ticonderoga native, except for my Wife. We have all eaten here before, with good results each time, but this trip has prompted me to leave a review. First, the seating nearby the cozy woodstove, and the ambiance were both great... our server, and her assistants (we were served by a team of 3 people) worked together to provide comprehensive, well organized service, with accurate info, followed by on time drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The food was so well prepared, we asked to see the chef, who's name escapes me Sadly (he was originally from Florida), who came out and met with us. We all greeted him and showed our appreciation for his Expert meal preparation, and the accompanying service. Thank you to everyone involved for a very memorable evening. As a side bar, I am in the commercial refrigeration business, and work with many of the top restaurants in the DC area... few can offer a better all around performance. Well done Burgoyne Grill!!!

IT WAS GREAT BEST HOTEL DINER IVE EVER BEEN TO , i went on a monday so whoever’s head chef deserves some kind of raise because that burger was the best burger ever, And the alfredo was so so good my wife loves it. I know they are very proud of their head chef, mondays are really busy so i know it gets rough but this hotel diner is the best in the upstate ny

Was driving through Ticonderoga and got a crave for wings( as usual) Did a Google search and this was the closest place to me that served wings.. glad I stopped..grabbed an order to go.. the wings were crispy and the sauce was very tasty.. I got 2 flavors zesty honey garlic and Hot.. the "hot" sauce was very very good.. not just franks sauce poured on some wings.. this sauce had diffrent kinds pepper flakes in the sauce.. flavor was on point.. good heat but not melt your face (they have atomic if that's your thing) great flavor and just enough heat to make your nose drip.. excellent.. the zesty honey garlic was also very good.. lots of sweet and garlic balanced by a trace of heat.. again.. excellent.. I only gave 4 stars because the wings were on the small size.. I like meaty wings.. I wished I got another order so I could get my fill . Also if you order a dozen wings but want to split the flavors they charge you for 2 six wing orders ($7 an order x2 = $14.00) verses 12 wings one flavor for $12.00.. just an fyi..

Burgoyne Grill is the kind of place where everything is just fine—but never quite good enough to justify the price. The portions? Adequate. The quality? Average. The prices? Too high for what you get. The service? Exceedingly sub-par—expect slow, inattentive staff who seem to have mistaken their job for a casual hobby. The prime rib? Decent. Not life-changing, but solid enough if you're in the mood for it. The wings? Mediocre to outright bad—especially in an area that actually has some pretty good wings elsewhere. The bar is adequate but overpriced, the kind of place where you wince at your bill but shrug it off because, well, you’re already here. But let’s talk about the real tragedy: they used to do a pasta night, and it was excellent—great value, genuinely delicious. And then, like all good things, it disappeared, leaving behind a menu that feels like it’s coasting on autopilot. That said, for a hotel restaurant, Burgoyne Grill is better than most. Compared to, say, the typical Hilton Garden Inn restaurant, this place is practically fine dining. But if you're not staying at the hotel and you've got time for a brief drive? There are probably better places to spend your money that aren't too far away.

One night on business. Room was clean and comfortable. Two out of the ordinary events. Lost power for about 10 min. and fire alarm went off. All making for a very exciting evening. No big deal all was good. Big surprise was the restaurant in the hotel (Burgoyne Grill & Pub). Very popular with the locals . Good food, good drink, and good people. WiFi & breakfast was included. Easy access to forts and lake. All and all a great place to stay and take in the local sites with out paying a lot. I would not hesitate on a return trip.

Prices are outrageous but I guess you can charge whatever you want when there is literally nothing to else to eat in the town. For the money I thought I could get some better service I wasn’t even asked to have a refill on my sprite the entire dinner. And then get the check and it’s automatically printed to give 20-25% tip. Restaurant was slow, service was pretty bad for the price. I’d say go somewhere else but the whole town is dead

Ok so there were 3 problems with our experience 1, The menu on the website is vastly different than what was presented at the table. The menu items were different, the prices were way higher. Chicken parmigiana online says $17 in the restaurant it was $24 that’s just one item. 2, I have medical issues that make some things harder to chew and swallow. I had the waitress check to see if I could get angel hair pasta , she said yes, and they brought out fettuccini. I couldn’t eat it. It cost $21 for the fettuccine Alfredo and another $6 to add chicken 3, The description of the meal on the menu said my meal came with garlic toast points. Did not get them. When I asked the waitress she just said flippantly that they no longer do that. Bottom line. False advertising on their online menu both in price and offerings. False description on the “ updated menu I was handed” Did not get the food as I ordered it and was assured I could get. Overall the food had great flavor and aside from what I have written it was good…. But if everything was right it would have been great. I would also add that at the bottom of this comment page it asks what dish I would recommend most of the items listed are not even on the menu!

Food was decent American style with good portions, and a simple menu. Salad with chicken was great. Though we found a tomato with a sticker still on it and one of two burgers were burnt. Solid B. Server was very nice and polite, though clearly overworked. Time for service was horrible: 85 mins to get our food.

Mediocre food. Had to ask for silverware, napkin and water after meal was served. Waitress was mildly attentive. Restaurant seemed understaffed for a Saturday night. Burger was medium rare rather than medium as ordered. Little chicken in the Alfredo dish. Disappointed. Didn’t check for a $3 add on for cheese for a dish advertised as a cheeseburger for $14. Just wanted out of there. Hard to go out to dinner in Ticonderoga in winter.

Menu lists on this google link is not what they have. It must have been one from pre Covid truncated options. They had like 4-5 main and 3 were a pasta dish, 2 burgers one was a cheese burger for $18 and if you wanted bacon it was $4 more. The shrimp listed on the menu were the little salad ones not full size and the noodles resembled Raman noodles size. The prices were all very high for what portion/quality you got. My suggestion updated the menu online to show an accurate selection & price. So people aren’t disappointed. We spend almost 100 (with tip) for 1 appetizer, 2 pasta dishes and 2 drinks.

They would not serve my husband and I an hour before closing but took a group of bikers that came in two minutes before we did and I know this because they were checking in to the same hotel after we checked in.

Figuring we were charged $300 a night the free breakfast was not plentiful and ill prepared. The hotel seemed to not know how many people were staying there as there was hardly any food available by 9am. There are better restaurants in the area that you would be better paying for instead of the easy button.

I would rate lower if I could. I understand covid has affected the entirety of the hospitality sector in this country. We are three years on but stating that the whole world is short staffed still as an excuse for bad service is suppose to quell any wrongdoing from the establishment. Service was slow and scattered: the bartender had 6 people at the bar but was to busy/lazy to help the only server on with her 4 tables… however she would help seat more people in her waitresses section, but not take any tables for her help her buss. We sat for dinner at 620pm and didn’t leave until after 830pm no more than 6 tables were sat at one time. I’ve worked with high school girls who could take care of the whole dinning section of this “restaurant” solo. The waitress was pleasant enough but very scattered like it was her first day. She had no support from the bartender. Our food came out cold, we had to send back. It came back out much better. Thank fully the staff lowered our expectations on arrival so we weren’t super disappointed. I’m not sure that I’ve had worse service.

The menu available online is not the menu that you get at the restaurant. We ordered cheeseburgers which were listed on the menu at $14. When the bill came, we were charged $17. When we asked why there was a difference in price, we were told there was an up charge for cheese. But the $14 on the menu was the price for a cheeseburger. The waitress said there was nothing she could do about it and there was no manager to speak with. After much discussion she took $5 off the bill, threw it at us and mumbled something under her breath. She said that she was the only waitress on duty and was responsible for the whole restaurant.

We always try to give local food establishments a chance, but most of the time are disappointed with the dining choices in Ticonderoga. It was Friday evening when the disappointments started. There were not many people dining or at the bar and the main dining room had a curtain over the entrance. For starters, they were completely out of all draft beers and soda for mix drinks or kids. They offered beer in bottle, but the choices were poor. I would guess that they didn't pay their distributors, so they were cut off. Secondly, the menu seemed blah. The bathrooms were disgusting. The hallway carpets were filthy. The bartender was great! We ended up driving to Schroon Lake and ate at Stick & Stones. It was packed, but we were served drinks immediately and the food was delicious! Get your act together Burgoyne Grill!
