Best pizza I ever ate, and I'm from Montreal, Canada... The cheese sticks and fries looked home made and were delicious too!

The food there was amazing. You can tell that's it's not frozen, and they cook it themselves. It's not very cheap, but not very expensive either.

If you go up north get this pizza it's awesome we love it i'd give it a 10/10

In Schroon Lake on vacation and Decesare’s was only 2-3 minutes from where we are staying. Ordered pizza, a hoagie, a salad and a fish entree our first night. Everything was soooo delicious and portions were generous. Ended up back here five nights later and got pizza and wings. Oh my goodness - the bbq wings were so good, we ordered more while still eating because we only got 12. So good!! Staff is very friendly too. So happy we tried them!

The food is delicious. Started coming here when we were still in ct. Our last stop before getting on the Northway was to get a sicilia type pizza. The pizza is usually our go to meal but they make awesome wings, hot sandwiches and baked ziti and meatballs. Never have had any of their fish dishes but the aroma when you get out of your car is so tantalizing.

There are several pizza joints in Schroon Lake, and DeCesare's owns the title of the oldest and best known. Their pizzas are round or grandma style and are hearty and filling. They have a full range of typical Italian pasta dishes, awesome wings with three heat ratings, homemade bread to take out and in the winter offer specialty soups. And their subs are GIGANTIC! It's definitely the food that brings families here, not the ambiance. No liquor license. Open all summer with restricted winter hours.

The adirondack style thin crust was super good. Its alot thicker from a Brooklyn thin crust type of pizza, but still very good. The lasagna, and broiled haddock is also super good.

I've been frequenting DeCesare's for 35 years. It is ALWAYS great. I can honestly not recall ever having a bad meal here. Consistently great!

We happened on this place when we pulled off the interstate for gas/pit stop. We were able to get a table right away, which surprised me since the parking was full and we had to park across the street. The food tasted great!

Sometimes, the locals know the best places. Rather than the Lodge where we're staying, this was a treat. It offers great tasting food, not full of noisy kids running around, good value, and helpful staff. If it was closer to where we live - we'd be back, and often. PS, there is plenty of parking across the street.

We stopped in to try the gluten free pizza, and we were not disappointed! It was fantastic! The salad we ordered was huge and exceeded our expectations! The haddock nuggets and French fries were great, too. This is definitely a place to stop for great food, reasonable prices, and good service. Their decor is adorable, too. Think mix of log cabin and outdoor, trendy Cafe. Highly recommend!

We were camping down the road at Eagle Point and after our ashy campfire chicken sausage experience last camping trip we decided to get take out this time. I am soooo happy we found this place, the chicken parm is amazing and the employees are the absolute sweetest. We enjoyed the food so much that we ordered take out the next night as well! As we were leaving town my daughter asked if we could get some to bring home because she enjoyed it so much. Thanks, we’ll be back next time!

This iconic family friendly restaurant has consistently served delicious meals to three generations of my family. Most recently, my brother-in-law and our 12 year old sons enjoyed dinner during our summer vacation. The staff are always polite and welcoming. I can also add honesty to this positive review because I dropped my wallet while enjoying my meal. When I rushed back into the restaurant one of the servers greeted me while holding up my wallet. What an amazing relief; thanks again, see you soon!

We ordered a medium pizza and garlic cheese bread. Everything was absolutely delicious! Food came out quickly. The staff is super friendly! It's still the off season so even on a Friday night at 6:30, it wasn't super crowded; I could imagine this place is packed during the summer.

Great food , great prices , fantastic employees I was in a bass tournament and I ate there every day for dinner. The staff is so friendly and caring. One night had the best pizza I've ever had . The fish dinners are awesome , and the wings are huge and great . The pasta is also awesome. It is a fantastic place to eat

Excellent food! The restaurant itself is Adirondack rustic, just as it should be. I've never seen anywhere, where the wait staff will only come about 5 feet from the kitchen door. After you order at the counter you seat yourself and the wait staff call your name when your food is done rather than serving the tables. It seems to work just a little strange!

Great restaurant near Schroon Lake. I love the broiled haddock - the best. Wings are really good too. Pizza's fly out of the place, so they're probably really good too. Give this place a try!

After a day of swimming, this is the place to be! If you don't swim, this is still the place to be! Excellent, friendly service and delicious food. I had eggplant parmigian, and not "bread-plant" like some other restaurants. My 12 year old commented on the perfect onion flavor on his Northern Frontier pizza and my MiL's Fisherman's platter was fried to perfection. No clunky batter here. The freshly made lasagne was also a dream. Thank you!

Great little spot in town. Wad told by a local that best pizza in Schroon Lake was Stewart's. I dont disagree that they do make good pizza for a gas station. But we tried these guys and it was great. The pizza came out super quick. I was a bit bummed they couldn't make my order of fries to be loaded but it is what it is. Atmosphere is great the staff has no problem having conversations with guests it makes it a bit more inviting.

VISITED THIS BEAUTIFUL AREA AGAIN AND WENT BACK TO THIS LITTLE ITALIAN RESTAURANT AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE THE LAST TIME. ORDER PIZZA AND WINGS AND THEY WERE EXCELLENT. HAD A CHICKEN BACON RANCH AND THE MOUNTANEER PIZZA. BOTH MADE WITH THEIR FANTASTIC HOME MADE DOUGH. THE WINGS I TRIED WERE ALSO WONDERFUL. THEY COOKED PERFECTLY AND THE EVEN CARMALIZED THE SAUCE WHICH MOST TYPICAL WING PLACES DO NOT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND VISITING WHENEVER YOU HAVE THE CHANCE. IN ADDITION THE CHICKEN PARMESAN THAT I GOT THE LAST TIME WAS ALSO FANTASTIC. YOU NEED TO TRY IT!

Everything we got here was great, but I regret not getting the seafood. I was skeptical to order seafood at a pizza joint, but I tried some shrimp from a family member and it was fantastic. Large, lightly breaded, and fresh. Service is a little odd, as we placed the orders at the counter and got our own silverware and napkins, but the staff was super friendly and accommodating.

Good pizza. Excellent wings. Order at the counter, and staff brings you the food. You get your own drinks if you order a fountain drink, so if your looking for full wait service, this isn't the place. I have always had a great meal here. Service is a 5 as far as the servers doing g a good job, but I gave a 4 given you place order at counter.

This is obviously a very popular local spot. My husband struggles to find his favorite Italian dish of sausage and peppers whenever we travel. This restaurant prepared this for him, to his specifications. My ziti and sausage was also delicious. We'll return the next time we're in the area.

We had take out but it looked so cute in there and the staff was so nice. The Pizza and wings are delicious and Buffalo-approved! Closest you're gonna get to buffalonian out this way...they even have real blue cheese that we use in buffalo!! Gluten free not too bad either!

Staying in town for a few days and stopped by tonight for a pickup order. Online ordering was easy and straightforward, the service was fantastic and friendly and the food was delicious! We really loved their wings the most, the seasoning and sauce are both very flavorful. Highly recommend!

We so loved this place. We found it on google on our way back to Canada, and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was good, the fact that it was open on Sunday around 5 and actually so many people there surprised us who was visiting from somewhere were most places are empty on Sundays. The Pizza was delicious. We tried two different types and loved both. Worth a try if you are driving to or from Montreal, Quebec.

Nice crust! Well done, with extra sauce; an all around good pie. The balance of sweet and salty is perfectly managed here. Crispy pepperoni and gooey cheese made it a wrap. We'll be returning, for certain. Their seafood and salads menu looks amazing, so addi g that to the list. Open until 10 PM makes them a strong contender for your business anytime - they deserve it for keeping their doors open late and year-round!

Ordered 2 pizzas, I like my pizza thin and crispy, so for me they were delicious! If you aren't into crispy thin crust you probably won't be as delighted as I was.

Pizza is delicious, both the thin round pie and square Sicilian. The other food we've had is good also. The lack of table service and paper plates for pies is a little disappointing. But maybe the reasonable prices are worth it.

My baked Ziti was fantastic! Hubby enjoyed the chicken Cesar salad. My kiddos weren't fans of the kids spaghetti unfortunately. Service was wonderful, small town vibes. Interior was cute and cozy with a fire and log walls. Very nice!

Pizza was okay. Very greasy! Pick your own table, read the menu, then go up to the counter to pay. Not at all happy to find out we were charged an extra fee for using our card. Didn’t find out until after the fact. Had plenty of cash to cover and would’ve used it had we know of the additional fee. This is also a mainly serve yourself kind of place … go get your own drinks, your own plates, your own silverware. Otherwise, cute little atmosphere and overall enjoyable evening out.

Normally we are pleased with our food, but this last time we were not, when I called in to place our to go order, I got a bit of an attitude, the chicken wings were burnt, and the buffalo chicken pizza was not worth the trip.

Everything was great but the pizza. Everything was hand breaded and not cheaply made but the pizza was flat and undercooked.

Was in for the marathon. Average everything... average salad, soggy spaghetti and oily pizza with tough crust. Limited or no vegan or vegetarian options. No wine or beer, no table side sevice. Friendly staff and quick service though. Family friendly and unpretentious. Convenient location.

Pizza is very expensive. Got 2 regular sized pizzas. 1 cheese and 1 pepperoni for pickup. Payed over 35 dollars. When I picked them up they were lightweight and on the small side. Tasted good but not 35 dollar good. I saw a menu on the website that said it was supposed to be 11.99/ pie but they said they raised the price. Too bad for me it was too late and I was too hungry.

The food was very greasy and overbearingly rich. I was expecting an authentic Italian experience and instead got what seemed like a delivery pizza. There was also no service whatsoever, and we even had to clear our dishes after us.

Food was decent. I ordered a steak sub and my grandfather had the veal parm dinner. He said his was good. Dinners come with a side salad or fries and homemade fresh bread. Steak sub was made on homemade Italian sub rolls. Only thing I didn't like is the steak sub didn't come with a side like French fries or potato chips. All my grandfather complained about was having to pay at the counter before eating. You sit down read menu then go up to counter to order.

Sub was very very dry next to no sub oil. The chicken tenders for my 4 yr old were overcooked over crunchy and dry no sauce given. Fries were good. Eggplant parm sub. Was cooked well but very doughy roll. We used to eat from here often quality of food has changed. They opened at 3 I picked food up at 4 not a soul there for a Saturday....

Pizza was fine except for olive pits in the olive pizza. Spaghetti and meatball dish had almost raw meatballs spaghetti tasted frozen.

Their food was great, but the prices were too high and the prices listed were not the same as they were on the board.

I used to love their pizza. I have tried it 4x since the change of ownership. Not nearly as good. Most likely will be my last try.

Out of pizza.... let me say it again in case you think you read it wrong, out of pizza. Ordered Buffalo Wings and Mozzarella Sticks as an app, and we were brought the Mozzarella Sticks and no wings, so had to go back and ask for the wings which were were very dry and not very Buffalo. Since no pizza, I ordered the meatball sub which had very little sauce with meatballs that would have been a dramatic improvement if they were frozen meatballs from a local supermarket freezer aisle. A friend ordered a Roast Beef sub, out of roast beef, ok.. so she got the mixed Italian which wasn’t bad, but definitely not great. Another friend ordered the Haddock Platter which he said was great. 2 stars for the Haddock Platter. I normally don’t leave reviews but this is DeCesare’s Pizzaria, I’ve gone 20yrs without having their food and was beyond psyched at once again being able to have the food that had never disappointed me in the past and drive 20miles just to eat it. Sadly, with most of the substitute meal ( went there for the pizza .... a pizzaria that was out of pizza and it wasn’t peak summer business ) being a bland, honestly overpriced for what we received experience, will not be back anytime soon. But, that’s my experience and my opinion.. I hope yours is as great as mine always were in the past.

I was up in the area visiting a friend and was looking for a place to grab a bite to eat. There are about two options in the area, this place and a pub down the road. If you enjoy sitting yourself, getting up to order food and then have to get up again to get your food then this is the place for you. When we got up to order food, another customer took our table and we had to sit elsewhere. The food is average. The staff was a little rude. Wouldn't come here again.

Sadly, the pizza served is a bit greasy for my taste and not entirely to a good new york pizza standard. Admittedly, my bias is based upon living proximate to the city, but alpine pizza up the road did have a better pie overall.

Got pizza and a large dinner salad to go. Pizza was okay but crust was soggy. Salad was horrible… tomatoes were rotten and lettuce was brown. Maybe they were having an off day but we will go elsewhere next time

The fact this place is a 4.5/5 and the beloved sticks & stones (RIP) was a 4.6 is a disgrace. Pizza was 99.98% dough and the wings were way overdone. It was also $46 for one pizza and one order of wings. Service was good though. I will try some entrees and edit this score but expectations are low

Tonight I was very disappointed we got there at 5:10 and ordered a 8 slice with 2 toppings and 2 salads the couple we were with ordered their pie 10min later the third couple in our party arrived and ordered the it's. 30min later the second couples pie came out a few min later the third one came out in between 2 out her pies came out that ordered after me. I go to the counter and I am received with total indifference as to what is the delay and am told it is com ing out of the oven now. I drive 15 miles to eat there. I am thinking that I should find another Italian Restaurant to eat at. By the way this is the second time this has happend.

We just called to order a dish (pasta,broccoli,oil and garlic) . while it isn't on the menu , they have made it before for me since they do have all 4 of those ingredients. They were very rude, short and unprofessional while turning down my money.

We went to celebrate a birthday because it was a place we went years ago. Sadly it is not the same quality. The Sicilian pizza crust was not the same. It was more of a flat crust, not fluffy and the pizza sauce looked like it was blackened. I guess things don't stay the same. We also needed a gluten free pizza which they were out of.
