Our group of 15 Spyder riders chose McSweeney's for our midway ride lunch stop. We were all very glad that we did. While our large group posed a challenge to the owner/bartender/server and the chef.... they took the challenge and delivered a great lunch for everyone. We all were impressed with the quality and size of the individually prepared lunch items. We were very pleased with our visit and we will be back when we travel through Indian Lake.

A really welcoming place to get warm with a pint and a burger. Friendly staff who will take the time to get to know you and make sure your glass is full. Good food and good beer selection. And they pour a great Guinness! Looking forward to going back!

Always heard good things about this family run pub. Finally decided to try it for lunch and drinks. Glad we did, you won’t be disappointed. Well run, neat with hometown feel. Friendly dog meets you outside and attentive staff caters to you inside. We had burger special with homemade onion rings and kettle chips. Everything was served hot, timely and with a smile. Try their Raspberry Margarita (in pic), it’s the best we’ve had in our travels. Definitely a place we look forward to making our favorite stop when in Indian Lake. Kudos to owner and staff for keeping it simple, friendly, fun and unique!!!

Love this hometown spot. Super friendly staff and a great atmosphere for drinks and food year round. Recommend the fries or fish and chips. They have a variety of liquor and beer including cans and whiteclaws. Highly recommend for a town spot if your staying in indian lake, passing through or in town for boating, ice fishing or road bowling.

This place is really the best. The food is great - Shepard's Pie, corned beef & cabbage, fish n chips, irish egg rolls are all great. Also really special drinks- there are always new creative cocktails to try and about a dozen beers on tap. The owners and staff are really special. They make you feel like a regular even if it is your first time stopping in. Can't wait to come back to Indian Lake to stop back in!

Pleasant little surprise. Rare that you find an Irish pub in a small neighborhood that’s actually really good. The owners were kind, the food was tasty and we loved their pup! Definitely recommend stopping in :)

After hiking all day long in the Adirondacks we were hungry and tired. With everything else pretty much closed in town by 9PM except for Stewart's and McSweeney's, we popped in here for dinner. We were greeted by a lovely bartender who had excellent suggestions for food, drinks, and even had us excited for the Irish Road Bowling event in Indian Lake (count us in for 2025!). The owner, Dave, was more than hospitable. He is a storyteller, and a good one! I couldn't have asked for a better St. Pattie's Day - a fresh Guinness pint, yummy potato & bacon soup, and great conversation. This is the place to stop and eat if you are in Indian Lake, hands down.

This was a completely random visit and I’m thrilled I found it. The food was delicious but the atmosphere and service were the true stars of the evening. Sit at the bar and enjoy some great conversation with Amy.

They have a dog and fireplace. Great Adirondacks atmosphere. We stopped by for an early Saturday evening dinner. We had a delicious Guinness beef stew and a delicately seasoned broiled haddock. Both were reasonably priced and worth coming back for. Add a Smithwick's ale and some Josh cabernet and it was a wise decision to visit. See you next weekend.

The Philly Cheese Steak was astounding and the Hot Open Turkey Face Sandwich was like walking into Thanksgiving at Grandma's! (unless your grandma microwaves everything.... then no, not yours.... your neighbor's grandma that spent hours cooking) Great atmosphere, great food! 4 of us rode snowmobiles from Wells, NY through Speculator and up, stopped there for food and it was the best decision we've made in a long time! Service was prompt, orders came out extremely fast. 5 outta 5, would highly recommend!

Had a weekend skiing trip with some friends and stopped in at this hidden gem. Ended up going three times in one weekend; great food, even better service… especially if Amy’s behind the bar. Highly recommend!

The owners are absolutely wonderful people, I would go here on a regular basis if not, for the fact that it was so far from my home. We had a great experience here.

Had a bit of wait due to low staffing, it's the middle of the woods, what can you expect. BUT our service was amazing, and the food was worth every second of the wait. Margs made from scratch and not with some garbage mix. 10/10 will be coming here again. Bartender was extremely kind and friendly and cook came to make sure we enjoyed our food. Very personable experience and good vibes all around. Plus, reasonably priced food that was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!

We had a great experience at McSweeneys! We finished a hike late that afternoon and could not find a place to eat that was open. Luckily we called McSweeneys and the chef was willing to stay later to make us a meal! The food they made us did not disappoint! McSweeney's Irish Pub provided us a delicious lunch today. Roasted Red Pepper and Gouda soup, and Clam Chowder, exceeded expectations. The Fish & Chips provided an ample portion of lightly breaded fish, with abundant fries. My margarita was refreshing. Service was pleasant and moderately quick.
