We went for a quick lunch, and the food was terrific. The service was excellent, although the waiter struggled a little with the English language. However, she pushed through and went above and beyond to take our order and even gave us some valuable insights into the menu and their offerings. The only thing they need to improve is the volume of the music. It was way too loud for a lunch or even a dinner experience. After-hours party time is okay, but not during a meal, during which you would like to have a conversation at the table.
I got Pollada Peruana, Chicago Morada and Churrasco Peruano. I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! There was no wait time, which was a pleasant surprise. Andrea, my server, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout my visit. The environment was clean, inviting, and comfortable, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food portions were generous and well worth the price. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent value for their money!"
Great place. New to us. Parking on the street and behind the grocery store. It's nice to find Peruvian comfort food. For those trying to venture out but wanting to play it safe, take heart they have roasted chicken. Pretty tame, well spiced, and typically served with French fries. However, if you want to try classic Peruvian comfort food, this place is pretty good. They have a trio, not quite a pre fix menu, but a sampling of different dishes. You can pick from a variety of dishes from the menu. We tried the following- papa renella, cau cau, carapulca, tamale, seco de res, and Lomo Saltado. Mom's cooking is always best, but man this was good. I can say that because mom was with me and agreed. Would definitely go back to try the other offerings including their chicken. Service was attentive and efficient. Glad we tried this place.
I enjoyed my 3-fish dish: Trio Marino (Ceviche, Arroz con Mariscos, Chicharron de Calamar). The fried calamaries where a bit loose in their jacket often falling apart, but tasted fine. Good value at $18. Enough rice leftover for lunch tomorrow. Salad was boring, as they often are, with minimal dressing - no choice offered. No alcoholic beverages - which is fine, but just so you know.
I really wanted to love this place. I love Peruvian food, and I’ve even been to Peru, so I came in with high hopes. The restaurant is a small storefront, and street parking was easy. We were the first customers of the day. When we walked in, festive Spanish music was playing quite loudly. The dining room had red tables with vases of artificial red flowers—simple and colorful. I was starving, which always raises expectations. I ordered the snapper with tostones for $30. The portion was generous, and the fish itself was well cooked. Unfortunately, everything was extremely salty. The rice was hard and undercooked, and the tostones were also heavily salted. Overall, the flavors were good, but the salt overwhelmed the dish. I tried to explain this to the waitress as best I could. My Spanish is very basic, and she didn’t speak any English. She explained (in Spanish) that the person who speaks English wasn’t there that day. While I don’t expect people in Peru to speak English, it would be helpful in an English-speaking country—especially for things like food preferences or allergies. A little extra seasoning never hurt anyone, unless you do have food sensitivities. For my husband, I pointed to a photo of a seafood stir fry, but what arrived was chicken and beef instead. He didn’t enjoy it and barely touched the plate. To their credit, she didn’t charge us for his meal. The water was Dasani, which I personally don’t drink, but that’s just preference. We paid, left a generous tip, and headed out. Despite the issues, the waitress was genuinely sweet, and the music added a fun energy. Once more customers arrived and conversations filled the room, the music volume felt more appropriate. I would go back—with the plan to kindly ask for less salt if possible. I truly want mom-and-pop businesses like this to succeed. I’d encourage you to check it out for yourself and form your own opinion.
The food was good, the service wasn't that good. Be careful if you pay with credit card, they will charge a service fee of 15%. The explanation "people don't leave tips"; therefore the restaurant will charge you a service fee.
Let's just say any ceviche style dish is always made by the use of whitefish NOT freshwater fish!! Any experienced would tell you that!!
The service here was terrible, my family and I visited the restaurant yesterday after my graduation and the place was empty. I thought since we were the only customers in the restaurant we would get good service and that was not the case we had to ask the server to come take our orders. Utensils weren’t left on the table napkins weren’t given to us. The waiter was on the phone the entire time that we were inside the restaurant she was barely paying attention to us and at the end I wanted to pay some cash and the rest of my card for the bill. The waiter decided that she was going to keep $40 as a tip when she clearly did not deserve it because her service was terrible and gratuity was already included in the bill which also she makes up and doesn’t let you know how much tip she’s giving herself do not recommend that you come here.
Worse place ever !!! I went to try this place for first time with my mom and They didn’t have what they offered for breakfast! They took long to help us(place was empty) I order 1 plate of chicharron and a ceviche and everything was 65.48 !!!! Than she tells me that tip will be included $ 11.55 for 2 people !!! I will def give this place a 0 !!! Don’t go there
