The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

This place was willing to let me customize an order enough to try and recreate a drink I had in Japan. Green tea latte with a dash of white mocha, honey and whipped cream. They made enough to all try themselves and agreed it was good.

I love this location! The staff is wonderful! They all do a great job making my drink and are all very friendly.

I just had a quick cup of coffee and I had to go. The place was fine and the coffee was great. But I had to dash across the street to Trader Joe's to pick up a few food items. ,

This is by far the best experience I ever had , I am a first timer so I walked in with no idea what to pick and the gentlemen’s working their Victor and Alex both did an outstanding job I recommend this coffee bean to everyone

1st time here and the workers were very friendly. The latte was way better than other places and super tasty.

Such warm and friendly service—even for the guy that came in 2 minutes before closing. As always, dining room was spotless. Location was quiet and tranquil. Parking in rear. Indoor dining room is small but clean and cozy, and outdoor seating is available. As always, my Americano was excellent. 5 stars.

I love, love, love this place. Every Monday and Thursday it's sung along for the kids upstairs. So turn up your kid, buy a delicious cup of coffee (and breakfast if your little one didn't let you eat at home ;) and a mix of a group of local moms and dads in a room on the second floor.

So, I came to the Toluca Lake Coffee Bean today. For whatever reason, the offer was only emailed to me and was not added to my app. When she asked me if it was on my app, I thought that I would just have to forego the offer. But, she said that is alright and told me that she was going to take care of me. She really made my day!!! You have a true keeper at this location. Love Coffee Bean! I wish you had more locations and a drive thru. Great staff. I’m obsessed with the Swedish berries iced tea. Pro tip add one stevia packet - tastes like a cherry jolly rancher. It’s delicious.

I cross the street and head to the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf as my mother waits in line for the honey baked ham. Outside there's a sign advertising an annual 5k Turkey Trot the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It costs $10 dollars to join. Some blond guy who looks like he probably plays lacrosse saunters into the adjoining Sharkey's at the same time i open the door of the coffee shop. It is likely we will never cross paths again. Inside the cafe it is nice and cool. "I like your haircut, sweetie," the woman in front of me says to the barista working the cash register. I order two dirty chai lattes. I watch as a barista mixes the drinks with a whisk. "You doing anything special for Thanksgiving?" she asks the barista working the register. He shakes is head. "Nah." Walking back to the line for the honey baked ham I think about the Turkey Trot and all the hypothetical people who might be there, the people who I can envision so clearly in my mind but will never meet: a 40-something stay-at-home mom named Barb who helped organize the even and who was "really busy" and who is always "really busy" because she is always organizing one thing or another or five things or another; the semi-retired entertainment lawyer named Jerry who always wears sunglasses and has his mouth open whenever he runs, even when he isn't tired or it isn't bright. I love the city of Los Angeles. I love the people who live here. I hope they all remember to wear sunscreen, especially Jerry who is probably too tan already. I get back to the line and hand my mother her drink. The latte is way too sweet. 4/5 stars.

Good coffee, but they don't have the dark brew going later in the day. You can park in the lot behind, just ask to get your ticket validated.

They make a decent nsa mocha, but having some nsa caramel or even peppermint would be a nice addition to the blah mocha

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Toluca Lake is a full coffee shop and eatery offering a wide selection of coffee specialty drinks both hot and cold, teas, and many pre-packaged food items (sandwiches, salads, mixed snack packages, etc.), pastries, bagels, fruits, yogurts, etc. A wide selection of CBTL bulk packaged teas is available. As with most modern premium coffee shops, prices are not inexpensive, and many of the food items are health-conscious, 'artisan-style', 'sustainable', etc., which brings a combination of interesting and unusual options, but at a relatively higher price than traditional fast food restaurants. The staff at the Toluca Lake location is always friendly, inviting, and, in my opinion, does an outstanding job, even in comparison to other Coffee Bean stores. This location can be quite busy, but the staff serves drinks and moves the customers through the ordering line at a good pace, often much faster than I've experienced at other locations even when they are less busy. The only negatives at this location in my opinion include the relatively limited and tight seating when the location is busy, and perhaps the fact that normally one must park in the street, usually a bit away, or in a paid lot. I consider these concessions secondary, however, to the otherwise excellent experience at this location.

Clean & neat, very similar to other coffee houses. Service was fast & correct. The food was OK, we were there later in the day so may have been fresher earlier. I'm not a big coffee house person so take that in account too.

8.21.24 Update: They took away the one tea that I can drink so I don't frequent any more unfortunately. CB&TL please bring back more Rooibos tisane options for those of us who can't drink caffiinated beverages but want an herbal with the same benefits as green tea. My favorite tisane place! I love Rooibos tea and this place makes the best tea lattes with loose leaf teas and tisanes in my case. They are also still family owned.

I ordered a dirty chai and didn't taste like chai at all. It was more sweet than anything. No spice, no cinnamon. Not close to any chai I've ever had. Thoroughly disappointed. I took a few sips and threw it out. sad their smallest size is 16oz. Way too much liquid. Also no soy milk only oat and almond.
