Quaint Italian restaurant and bakery. Outside seating available.
Great fresh food friendly staff and save room for dessert if you can portions are HUGE Still Great
Delicious food made fresh, great ambiance and wonderful service. I will be coming back soon.
Cake was super good. And staff was super friendly. Picked up some cake slices to bring my friends. Decently priced for cake that good.
Never had a bad meal here. We love everything, especially pizza
The quality of the food is high and so delicious. Our waitress was knowledgeable, helpful and respectful.
Food and service were excellent. I especially appreciated that they had plain cannollis without nuts or chocolate. Thanks
Always great food and large portions for the price. You have to try some of the cakes and desserts
Delicious desserts friendly service. Very clean dininh area. Prices right on for great food.
Absolute best pizza in Buffalo if we judge quality of ingredients, flavor, gut feeling after eating, and price in that order. Ingredient quality is top notch; smaller portions, but it comes with the semi-gourmet territory, you still come out full. The tomato sauce is debatably the most impressive part, with a noticeable red wine tinge and small bits of tomato among seasonings. Flavor is the most satisfactory part of the whole pie, with the most captivating blend of flavors a pizza can offer (the pepperoni have a lot to do with that) I guarantee you will never have stomach ache coming out of a Romeo and Juliette's, their pizzas included. I have always come out feeling better than when I came in. Now the price might be the best surprise yet; I'll illustrate that through my average experience ordering there: Come in, order take out: a pizza with cheese, pepperoni, minced garlic, and 1/2 banana peppers and an eclair with half whipped cream and half custard (oh god, yes yes yes.) Wait all of 15 - 20 minutes and walk out with two works of culinary arts for *UNDER TWENTY DOLLARS*. Until a freak storm of godly proportions happens on Friday the 13th during a full, blue moon as the planets align under the Northern Lights, creating the one true pizza, Romeo and Julet's will enjoy their rule as king for all it's worth.
Always great! Wife and I had cold antipasto...yummy....and a pizza special with artichokes...grilled chicken and sun dried tomatoes...deserts look fantastic...but sadly...we are on a diet...
Food is always delicious. Service is always friendly. They even made a favorite dish for me that used to be on the menu.
I go to both Sheridan Dr. locations and it's always a pleasant experience. Their pizza is truly delicious and may of the other menu items I have tried have been excellent.
Fast service, pleasant wait staff and real home style Eye-tie food. If you want flash frozen stuff, go further up the road into Amherst. I see the owner of the previous greasy pizza place that occupied this space gave a negative review. Shameful.
Amazing! food was great, we stopped on a Friday afternoon. Samantha was wonderful!!
Just ran in to pick up some dessert. The selection made it very difficult to choose. Wanted one of everything! Cake, canolli little tarts, cookies, Napoleons. Yikes. Went with canolli, very happy with them.
Cute little place. The food and desserts were delicious! Service was great! We would definitely go back!
Take out pizza and a canoli. One of the best cheese and pepperoni I have had lifetime. Beautiful breads. Will be back for sure
I got the cheese ravioli and meatballs. Excellent. Server was friendly and wine was fine. Everything I wanted for Italian restaurant date night.
Wonderful experience. Waitress is such a sweetheart and the food is absolutely fresh and delicious!
Their Tiramisu is the best I’ve had in Buffalo.
Phenomenal pizza and great appetizers. My spouse got the gnocchi, which were "cloud soft and extremely flavorful." The pizza was extraordinary: a crisp, toothsome crust with a flavorful sauce, piled high with toppings (savory spiced sausage, generous cheese, gently sauted vegetables). We had antipasti and tuna crostini as well, which were very good if not as spectacular as the entrees, but so generously served we will likely come for a meal of just appetizers and wine. In all, a phenomenal restaurant for Buffalo.
Mmmmmmm! Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! We have never been disappointed in a meal at Romeo and Juliet's. The atmosphere is quaint, and quiet and the food is outstanding. The bread is fantastic! I'm hungry writing this!
This place exceeded my expectations. We ordered the lobster ravioli and a large salad and both were fresh and delicious and our dinner came with a free cannoli! Very good Italian food. Highly recommend.
Povera-style cooking. Appetizers were awesome, as was our main course. Lobster ravioli and calzone were superb. Homemade Italian sausage and peanut Alfredo sauce were extremely good. Prices are on the high side, but that is the price of perfection!
The service was very friendly and lacking nothing, and the kitchen clearly put love and pride into their food. My partner has dietary restrictions that they were happy to work around. Definitely recommended!
Best paninis in town. Service can be a little slow at times, but a great place to meet and chat.
We come here on a pretty regular basis. Good service and great food definitely keep us coming back. It's got a really cozy feel in the dining area which we love. Some of our favorites on the menu are their chicken parm, the eggplant parm, the chicken with roasted peppers panini and their pizza's are delicious! Their personal pizzas are quite large. The crust is thin, crispy and delicious. Sometimes my husband and I will order one pizza and one salad and split them. For appetizers the stuffed peppers are a must try! It comes with 5 deliciously stuffed peppers. We highly recommend Romeo and Juliet's.
Romeo & Juliet's is our go to for takeout events. I just hosted a gathering of over 25 people at my house and Josh did an amazing job with the food. Highly recommend trying them out.
Awesome food. “Very Authentic”, I was told by an Italian friend. I liked how they had so many vegetarian friendly options. I ordered the stuffed bell pepper and it was just finger licking delicious. Will visit again !
My teenage granddaughter just loves this place , it’s always her choice of restaurants . Pizzas are great , service is exceptional and omg the desserts ! I like to stop by just on my way home from work to pick up a cake or bread 💕
Have been enjoying R&J for years. Call and check on their specials (especially Tonawanda) because they’re delicious-gnocchi Asiago, chicken piccata, shrimp scampi. Molto bene!! Claire
The food was tasty and great. Large sizes. I have had them a few times now and still great quality each time. Highly recommend especially for a night in with a group of family or friends.
Haven't been here in a long time - only stopped in for desserts tonight, excellent as always! 11/16/2024 update - stopped for dinner, everything was excellent.
Great menu selections. Pleasant eating experience. Good prices. Save room because the homemade desserts are delicious. Wait staff are friendly and helpful. Outdoor seating is available, but street traffic is loud, but bearable. Well worth your time to visit them and have a meal. Good wine selections too. Probably not good for little children.
The nicest random act of kindness happened here. We asked for our bill and the waitress informed us the other party had paid it for us. We paid it forward for another customer. The bread is served with butter or olive spread. We asked about garlic butter and they made a garlic dipping oil for us. The sausage pepper kale soup was spicy and delicious. The cannolis were exquisite and part of the lunch special. Excellent food, attentive service. Check this place out!
My husband and I stopped in on Saturday night. The place was packed and we started to leave as we had a very tight timeline for dinner. We were stopped and told that if we didn’t mind eating in the entryway area (cute little table that was secluded and perfect for our parent’s night out date night), they could serve us. I explained we were on a deadline to pick up our kids and was assured we’d have our food in plenty of time. The staff was so pleasant and went out of their way to make sure we got our food and drink with time to enjoy it before we had to go pick up our kids. I walk here for lunch sometimes and the service is always great. A true gem for our town.
Absolutely incredible restaurant - staff is friendly and food is the best. What more could you ask for?
Very good!!! Loved the dessert selection and take away options!
What a great experience. Needed cannollis and lobster tails to go for a long ride back to Maryland. The filled the cannolis as we waited. She packed them and wrapped them for travel in a cooler at her suggestion. She cared enough to ensure they stayed fresh for when we got back home. You don't find that much anymore. The deserts were incredibly tasty and properly dry thanks to the attentiveness of their staff. You can't go wrong by eating here or getting it to go. Thank you to the wonderful staff that we were lucky to meet.
Excellent food for families, dates, or take-out. We've been there many times, and keep going back. Very friendly service, especially if you bring kids. Your only risk is succumbing to the dessert case after your meal!
Great restaurant! My friend and I stopped here for lunch and the food was nothing but great quality! The staff couldn't have been friendlier and they were great in helping us with any questions or. Their coffee and desserts were out of this world and a great way to cap it all off. Everything taste fresh and homemade. I just wish the restaurant was a little bigger.
This place is a hidden gem. We got the Arancini appetizer, paparadelle bolognese and pepperoni pizza and it didn’t disappoint. Way better than any Italian chain restaurant in the area. Their pastries look delicious, we will be definitely coming back to try them!
I am writing this is relation to an order through skip the dishes but I felt it needed a larger audience. My order arrived incorrect (not the restaurant's fault) and was noticed almost immediately by the restaurant. After reaching out to me, Josh delivered the correct order with a little extra on top less than 10 minutes from seeing the problem. This is going above and beyond in every way and I recommend trying it and seeing for yourself the care they have for their customers. Also the food was delicious, I will be eating there in person very soon.
I ordered from them for the first time this evening through Uber; and all I can say is YUMMY! I don’t believe in giving reviews unless I can whole heartily give a 5 star review because I’m a firm believer that mistakes happen, bad days happen and for people to bash another local company due to an off day is ridiculous. However, this restaurant is by far thee most delicious I have had in quite some time. Their antipasto appetizer made me feel like I was back in Rome, if you haven’t tried them your missing out on something amazing! You guys are absolutely delicious :) I will be ordering again and again ........SUPER YUMMY
I was really surprised by this restaurant. I came in free of any expectations and my senses were absolutely blown away! The smell of the bakery and italian food draws you in from the door . The first thing you see is the case of delectable baked goods. ready to be picked up and devoured. Turn the corner and there is a small intimate seating area with a fire place. Its cozy! As far as the food goes it will not disappoint. Every dish has an explosion of flavor and the waitress can even male hand craft sodas and was very passionate about her job. She catered to my son and daughter and went out of her way to make sure that they were happy.
Hello ... I'm all about Food Quality, Service with A Smile & Accuracy In a Very Clean Environment! Well Thus IS the Place for YOU; PLUS Reasonably priced! MJ ☮️
Absolutely the best lobster ravioli ever I’ve ever had
I honestly can’t believe this place wasn’t busier — it truly deserves all the attention! 😲 The staff were super friendly and worked seamlessly together, which made the whole experience smooth and welcoming 🙌😊 The food itself was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented 🍽️✨ Every bite was flavorful, and the portions were generous enough that we left completely stuffed! Even though we were full, we couldn’t resist taking some desserts to go 🍰🍫 They were just as amazing as the meal and a perfect way to end the visit. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it feel like a real local gem in the neighborhood 🏡💖 We’ll definitely be coming back soon — great food, friendly staff, and a spot that feels both special and approachable. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven’t yet! 🌟🎉
Haven’t had their food, but the desserts are amazing. My favorite is the Cannoli.
Excellent all around. The desserts are amazing!!
The service was excellent. She checked with us & & was very nice. Also stepped aside so we could enjoy the delicious food
I highly recommend the Pepperoni and Mozzarella pizza and the Quattro Formaggio pizza. These pizzas tasted so fresh and homemade. Everything was ready exactly when we were told to pick it up and it was still hot by the time we got home. Next time we’ll get another kind of pizza and continue to come back! Definitely a must-try spot in Tonawanda.
As always, wonderful service and delicious food! We tried the cheese ravioli (cooked al dente....just the way I like!) with pesto, pine nuts, & roasted tomatoes and the steak, spinach, mushroom panini. Romeo & Juliet's has a huge case of homemade desserts/cookies/cannoli/biscotti and it would be a sin to pass them by.
I am new to the area due to my job and so I decided to try Romeo & Juliet's. Today was my first time ordering from there and I have to say; my food was top notch, the service was amazing, it's clean and the deserts look unbelievable. I ordered the Romeo & Julietta. To die for! I will definitely be back! Also, I love the accent, I believe, by the owner. I feel like I'm in Italy.
A friend and I were looking for a new place to have a meal. Soooooo, we came upon Romeo and Juliette's and thot let's try here. First is the walk in and surveille...ok...it's quiet as it's in betweeen lunch and dinner. Perfect as it's what I needed to relax. I despise a loud place when I need to enjoy a good meal and conversation with a friend, family member, spouse, etc. I didn't expect to be as pleased as I was. Its small and cozy. The waitress didnt seem too pleasant at first. My bad...i scrutinize everything. Anyway, we were seated in the perfect spotbi myself was eyeballing. A table along a far wall and away from other patrons. Just to have conversation not In earshot. Nothing special...just chatting with my friend. I found an outlet to charge my phone next to my chair which was great as it needed charging before we'd be finished with our meal. The waitress who turned out to be the co owner/wife was closest to the perfect waitress as in not in our face constantly, but just often enough to know when we needed a beverage refill, or to ask bbn if needed. Meal was very timely.i didn't get a photo of what I partook of, but did so of the desserts. The atmosphere was very calming, colorful in a comforting way. The music was fabulous as it was Italian and as well had older music from varied times but classics like Sinatra, Michael Buble', and many others I enjoyed altho wasn't sure of the names. The lighting was lower so as nit yo ve blinding like a cafeteria. Seating was /is comfortable. Table is a perfect size and height. There's a beautiful fireplace as well which seals the atmosphere comfort. The decor is of wine and scenery, etc. Could use an array of plants but that's just my likes. Ya know...a big rubber tree plant in each corner. Large flowering hanging plants that don't require bright light. And id love a nice candle center piece on each table with battery operated flame to keep safe from the carcinogens that burn off the wick and make us ill. Plants that clean the air. Ok enough of my particular likes. They should be 4xs the siize as it's in need of feeding the multitudes so to speak. You all need to go and eat there and meet Jenna.shell make uour visit a great one. I'm definitely patronizing this lovely restaurant again soon...with more friends and or family. I brought a meal home to my father also and he so enjoyed.
great place for veggie pizzas. stuffed banana peppers r great too. quite busy. recommend reservation. overll nice experience
Good food and nice place. Parking is small especially during the summer when they do their patio. Try the rice balls, they are excellent.
Very simple friendly place to eat. Food was delicious and nutritious. It's on my list for comfy dinner
Smallish dining area, nothing special about decor but really good food and service
Stopped in on a Saturday night. It was busy so we just got pizza for take-home. Love their thin crispy crust.
Very yummy food and very friendly staff. Wish there was more on the menu to select from. Dessert and coffee was delicious!
Consistently good, but not spectacular. Lasagna and gnocchi very satisfying. Dessert can be the highlight of your visit if you choose. Half price wine on Wednesdays.
Great ambiance, nice variety! The chocolate mousse isn't super chocolatey... It was very pretty and smooth, though. Staff was super friendly and helpful! I want to come back for dinner :)
Cute little Italian restaurant. Easy parking. Clean restaurant and restroom. Food arrived, as ordered, quickly. Food was decent. Bread served in the beginning was EXCELLENT. Would return again if my party wanted to.
Everything was decent. Spent $100 on lunch for 4 and just shared a few things. This was my first time at the tonawanda location. I def prefer the one on Sheridan in every way.
My lunch mates had no complaints about their food from any of their visits. They recommended pizza and paninis. I tried the Quatrro Formaggio Pizza, aka four cheese in English. It's was delicious. Their pizzas are all thin crust, so you'll either love that or not - dealer's choice. The offer half salads if you want to feel healthy while eating something else, or you can't make up your mind! The half salads are still big. Depending on how hungry you are, that could be your meal. The bread you get when you're first seated was good, too. They serve it with butter and ground green olives. That was new for me. They also have a dessert menu of various coffees and confections. They're in a case, so if you want to just sneak in for dessert as take away, you can. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Amazing service, staff was great, place looked awesome, baked goods were awful, I didn't finish either of em and it was 5$ a piece, hopefully non deserts are better
The pizza is just ok, pepperoni is not real. For as much as they charge it wouldn't hurt to buy some stick pepperoni and slice it. Atmosphere is good and service is excellent.
Ordered Margarita Pizza that was overcooked and dry as a bone. This will be the last time ... Sad...I have ordered these for years ...but this one was worse than my grandkids Tony's frozen pizza. The Cheese Cake rocked...loved every bite.
Food was good and delicious but waitresses don’t behave well. They don’t offer napkins, fork, knife, spoon, pepper, salt, sauce, etc. My table was empty.
I ordered a cassata cake and it was horrible. I have ordered them before and they were delicious I dont know what happened with this one. But dobt think I will be coming back
First time there , we stopped in for coffee and dessert. I had carrot cake and my wife ordered a lemon cake, both were stale sorry to say.
We’ve been here a few times and it’s usually ok. Rarely spectacular but consistent. Tonight, not so much. There was a problem with the plumbing and the dining area smelled of raw sewage. On a chilly night we elected to sit outside rather than deal with the odor. I ordered the ravioli special, sausage ravioli, and it was “meh”. Seemed like frozen ravioli which I wouldn’t expect to be on the daily special list and it was not cooked enough. Another guest had the gnocchi but sent it back and then had the Alfredo which was also less than stellar. A third guest had the cheese ravioli which was similar to the sausage ravioli. The pizza was terrific! We would have thought they would have offered some token given the experience with the raw sewage smell which forced us outside on a 60 degree evening but they did not. A manager never appeared, perhaps one wasn’t working tonight. We may be back but not anytime soon; too many other choices in the area with higher quality products, staff and customer service.
Visited last night, very small and crowded. Put at a small table against the wall then sat someone behind me to where I couldn't even move my chair out to get up, had to slide out. The service was exceptional and all wonderful. Put bread on table with 2 little butter ( could you spare it) and some nasty dry olive spread it was gross. I ordered the Lasagna Bolognese $16.99, well what a joke! There was 2 little chunks of hamburger, barely any cheese, and all noodle! Asked the server where the meat was and she said somewhere in there, no salad but served with green beans. The piece of bread on the plate was hard as a rock. Very disappointing and won't go back. BTW I make a much better Lasagna!
2 stars solely for the servers. Food was below average. The stuffed peppers had a disgusting, chalky after taste. The pizza was burnt on the edges. The bread did not taste fresh. The only slightly decent thing was the peasant soup.
The food was good, but the waitress were all chatting which is fine, and the one kept swearing on and on when she was talking, not something you want to hear when your out to eat.
Came in to grab two slices of cake and they were very old and dry 😕
Tried this place for the first time. Got a soup, tiramasu latte, and some pastries to go. The complementary bread was pretty plain, but came with an olive spread that was nice and the bread paired well with the soup. For $8 the spicy sausage soup was 5/5. The tiramasu latte was also $8, but while Im glad it wasn't super sweet there also wasn't any flavor and there was so much ice you'd think anyone id was required to order it. 2/5 Then the pastries were disappointing. I spent $9 on a cream filled glazed pastry, thats one of their more expensive items. The glaze has some depth from the rum but the bread underneath tastes like one of those wrapped sweet breads from a 7-11. The cream filling wasnt even filling. Its little more than a dallop on top. The pastries have both the flavor and texture of something thats been frozen and defrosted. None of them tasted fresh.
ALWAYS loved it and the great service until last visit. I called in for a pizza and was told 35 min which means they are crazy busy. I came to pick up order 37 minutes later and was greeted right away at counter, cashed out and told "the pizza is in the oven right now so it shouldn't be much longer". NO problem I don't mind. Meanwhile, take out people come in, get their food and leave. Servers say nothing to me or even engage in eye contact THIS goes on until the ONE hour point in which I grab a busy waitress who had nothing to do with my order and explain it had been one hour and I had been told a while ago that the pizza was in the oven. She very politely said she would check which I appreciated greatly as she had nothing to do with order. About five minutes later she brings me my pizza and says, "sorry for the wait" then asks if I was cashed out already. I confirmed I was "a while ago" and left. BIG mistake! Got home to discover they had placed FOUR THICK COMPLETELY RAW SLICES OF EGGPLANT ON MY PIZZA AFTER WAITING OVER AN HOUR. Here is the thing, I would have been fine if someone had said my order mistakenly didn't get in. I would have been fine with someone saying, "We are out of cooked eggplant do you mind waiting longer or can we get you something else?" BUT no, I didn't even have anyone follow up or address the situation until I involved the server that was not involved in the order. I have given this site (Tonawanda) regular business for years. Loved the food and the service. Now I can HONESTLY say I will never go back-(most definitely) not because of a wait, or human error, but because they showed a lack of character and appretiation for loyalty. Placing slabs of raw eggplant on top of my pizza was deliberate. All I would say to Romeo and Juliets now is they mistook friendliness for foolishness and as a result lost a loyal customer. I won't be back nor will I continue to recommend them and suggest them among the many communities I am involved with. CHARACTER is everything in my book.
Ordered pizza Portobello last night take out! It was basically 75% crust and very little mushroom or mozzarella cheese! It was eating crust only! The outer crust was full of "bubbles" Not worth $12!!
Went to lunch with 3 friends. They said they had a cauliflower crust and 1 of my friends was eager to try it. We always split a pizza. We asked the waitress if you can get the cauliflower crust with any pizza and she said yes. One of the girls had her granddaughter with her and she asked if for a personal pan pizza. The waitress replied that they only have 1size pizza so she ordered a regular pizza. When her pizza came it was 8 slices, when the cauliflower pizza came it was 4 slices ,but charged for a regular 8 slice pizza. I called the restaurant to say how unhappy we were. That our bill was $24. and change. For 4 slices and 1/2 salad $5.99. I was told we when we say it we should of ordered a second pizza!!! Not good customer service, don't order the cauliflower pizza
If you are italian, then you will not enjoy this food Also 12$ for one singular arancini that was still cold in the center, mayber try microwaving it for 30 seconds more Lasagna was colossal and totally a mess Pasta con polpette is a joke, I've actually had better at Williamsville South High School I would be respectful, but since I had to pay close to 100$ for this is unacceptable. The chocolate mousse was a joke too In conclusion, everything was overpriced and total garbage.
THE WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIFE! If we could give ZERO stars it would still be too high a rating. From the beginning service was slow AND inattentive. It took the waitress (Samantha) 20 minutes to bring over a sample of the sauce SHE OFFERED TO GET. One of us did not get the their salad. Thirty minutes after we ordered one of us was one informed they didn't have the item. The food came AN HOUR AN TEN MINUTES AFTER we sat down. One of our dinners was literally cold. When we brought this to the waitresses attention she grabbed the plate and as she rushed away said "I gotcha". It almost fifteen minutes later and she had yet to return, offer an explanation or update. It was then, the one who received the cold plate, asked her to take it off the bill. The waitress replied, "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU EXPECTED" and in a snotty way. We then asked her to speak with the manager and her reply was, "I am the manager". The rude, indifferent and confrontational attitude demonstrated was astounding. In closing, only a poorly run business would such customer service train wreck in a managerial role.
So highly disappointed that there was no diaper changing station in the bathroom For my baby. I saw other family's coming in and it broke my heart how great the food and quality the place was but lacked care and heart for people who are enthusiastic to bring their baby out for date night, should be ashamed and I had to change my baby on the seat at the table where our food was going to be consumed, very much disheartening and I so wanted a reason to come back and enjoy all the food goodness there. Should be ashamed.
Food was not good, which was surprising because it is usually delicious. Bought the chocolate peanut butter cake to bring home and it was stale. Definitely disappointed
This isn't a review about the food, this is more about the service. We got there at 8:30. They close at 9. I was with my family of 4 and we only wanted dessert. My husband asked if we can get a table and the waitress gave him an attitude and told us as long as we were out by 9 o'clock we could order. I knew we should have left at that point. There was already another family finishing up dinner. We got to our table. I asked for coffee and was served a lukewarm coffee and was only given half a cup. We ordered our desserts with more attitude from the waitress. We will not be coming back to this place again. If you are going to be closing at 9, you should know that you should be there for another half hour at least. Change your hours if you're not willing to stay. No tip offered and we didn't pay for the crappy coffee. Do better next time. Btw, the family was still there when we left and they ordered dessert after 9.
Small restaurant converted from older store, cool idea, nice atmosphere. Ordered stuff mushrooms, 2 soups, spinach salad and Chick Parm and Chick Marsala. Soups were great along with the mushrooms. Salad wasn’t yet touched……That’s when it all went down hill….Oblivious waitress brought luke warm dinners during soup course. We didn’t even start on the salad. The chicken was reheated over-breaded bland freezer-burned leftovers topped with a sauce to match the menu. The waitress delivered one dinner in the center of the table and asked if we needed anything else while walking away. No return until after dinner. Only 10% of the chick Marsala was touched so I asked in jest if this was supposed to be served hot….the only answer was a quick yes and the plate removed and the waitress walked away. It wasn’t busy. 445-515p. Only 2 other tables present. What a disappointment for an anniversary dinner. We will not return. If soups are your thing? Perfect. Every other reason to visit escapes me. Paid full boat for all dinners.
