Beautiful food, lovely menu. Great seating outside if you take the dog . Lovely and cosy inside . Menu is pricey, £17 for a full English without tea or coffee 😬 On this occasion, I had a sausage sandwich which was £8.95 Great farm shop , honestly a bit on the pricey side for the same things down the road a little cheaper.
Staplehurst’s best kept secret. Lovely garden centre to stock up your garden. The cafe - you may need to book in advance - has a great menu of great tasting food. Reasonably priced and generous portions. Afternoon tea looked amazing, étagère loaded with lovely looking cakes, I can’t wait to go back and try it. Staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. I can definitely recommend Frankie’s and I will be going back.
My wife and I visited here today for the first time and were extremely impressed. The whole place has a feeling of quality and professionalism. The selection of food in the shop was good, so bought a few items as presents, then went in to the cafe. We ordered a cup of tea and a cheese scone - both were delicious. Special mention to the staff who were efficient and very friendly - even joining in to our humorous comments! Overall, a lovely place to eat and shop - we shall definitely be returning to try the Roast lunch or the stunning looking Afternoon Tea :-)
Stopped for coffee and cake We received a friendly welcome. Really nice spacious eating area with outside seating too. Lots of attentive staff. We had a pot of tea ,carrot cake , a strawberry milkshake and the raspberry cheesecake. The carrot cake was very light and tasty. A fluffy cheese cake tasted fantastic. A very good experience for us both.
Have been here before for breakfast which was yummy but our first time for lunch. The service was excellent as always and food all delicious. A lovely indoor and outdoor seating area and a small farm shop attached with local produce and gifts and out the front plants, pots and ornaments for sale.
Three different brunches and three different drinks orders and all delicious. Friendly staff. Purchases made from the farm shop and the green houses.
Had afternoon tea at Frankie’s last week and it was really lovely. Nice, different sandwiches, I asked on ordering no fish and this was noted and a nice alternative was given. Endless tea and a nice latte included. Plenty of time to enjoy our experience. A lovely afternoon. Service was friendly and very attentive.
On arrival we was shown to our table by some french doors.Atmosphere was great, busy but still the friendly staff had time for you. Drinks and Sunday roast where quick to arrive food was hot and delicious great portion size .Dessert.. My husband had a cherry Sunday, our friend had the white chocolate cheese cake and I had the coffee and walnut cake all was amazing. will definitely be back.
Lovely relax atmosphere, food was great, the roast beef just melted in your mouth, it could have been hotter but there were 10 of us so I understand it’s difficult, service was good, staff were very helpful and friendly. The shop is also great, so you will definitely need your card. I would recommend the for Sunday lunch, but also great for anytime
There is always something different and interesting on their menu and whatever we have is always delicious. Everything just tastes freshly cooked. It’s our go to place for consistently great food.
Food is exceptional here a little pricey but it is worth it. All day breakfast is hearty and full of delicious local produce. On a sunny day the outdoor area is lovely. The restaurant inside is bright and airy with a lovely atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and polite if a little slow especially if you are seated outside. Recommend coming here for a Sunday roast too looked fantastic. 👍
Tucked away in the countryside, this little farm shop with its restaurant is a real hidden gem. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels both homely and special. The shelves are lined with local produce, jams, and treats that you won’t find in the supermarket, making it a joy to browse. The restaurant itself is a delight — hearty, wholesome food with plenty of choice, including a thoughtful kids’ menu that makes it a great spot for families. The homemade cakes are the star of the show: generous slices, beautifully baked, and utterly delicious. Whether you’re after a light lunch, a full meal, or just tea and cake, everything is freshly prepared and full of flavour. What makes this place stand out is the balance between quality and charm. It’s not flashy or commercial, but that’s exactly why it’s so special — it feels like you’ve discovered something truly local and genuine. A perfect stop if you’re exploring the area or just want a cosy, relaxing meal in a friendly setting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, family-friendly service, and that little bit of countryside magic.
We celebrated my son’s 3rd birthday and it was amazing. Great garden for kids to play and run about. The staff were lovely. The food was delicious! We also bought a cake which they made a Victoria sponge it was honestly the best cake I have ever had! Will always buy my cakes from here! Great place :-) ******
We booked for lunch time. Once seated we ordered drinks, then meal. All staff who served us were very efficient and courteous. The food was very tasty which made an enjoyable time spent.
Food and service are always excellent and the prices are not unreasonable in the restaurant. The restaurant staff are super friendly and attentive. Frankies also has a shop area with a wide choice of gifts and food items; the pricing in the shop is however a little aspirational, with a more realistic approach to pricing there would be much to purchase.
Lovely farmshop restaurant which even in winter has a lovely warmth of an atmosphere. Fantastic food and great purchases can be made in the shop of home decor, fragrances and foods. Outside Lovely selection of pots and plants even in October which can be bought. Will definitely come again with the family for a nice afternoon
We had the most delicious omelette and would have that again. Coffees nice but too dear. As it got busier the noise levels rose and difficult to hear each other speak
Took my mum, aunt and sister-in-law for brunch and the food was lovely as always. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Keep on doing what you’re doing Frankie’s.
We held my daughters Wedding reception at Frankies Farmshop on 3rd August 2024. There's not enough words that I can express to say what an amazing time we had. Jen and the team at Frankies were outstanding. The service was exceptional and the help we received from Jen leading upto the event was so professionally done, it felt like we had our own in-house wedding planner. We received so many compliments from the guests who also really enjoyed the food. Thank you Jen and all, you really made my daughters wedding so special. I'll forever be appreciative. Mark (Father of the bride)
We recommend the farm shop for great local food and specialty food goods - nice clean shop. We enjoy the restaurant as the food is fresh and very tasty. They are currently building an extension for dinning, We are very much looking forward to enjoying this new sit inside area. The GF options are good - the Sunday dinner was excellent Photos of non GF Ploughman's and a Burger - I'm told they were very tasty :-)
We absolutely loved Frankie’s - what a stunning cafe, gift shop and deli! All the cakes on offer looked incredible - we had scones & chocolate chip cookies and they were both fabulous. Great coffee too. We will be back 👏🏼
Food is really good here! We had roast chicken with few other things and all of it was delicious. Neat and tidy place with plenty of parking.
Incredible - one of my new favourite spots for a lunch stop! We stopped off after randomly finding Frankies Farmshop on Google and were delighted with it. Lovely fresh food, family friendly and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We will definitely be returning 😁
We visited quite late in the afternoon so it was not at all busy but the shop has a great selection of fresh and locally produced products. The cafe was starting to close but they happily served us coffee and cake. The Gluten and Dairy free Crumble Tray Bake was absolutely delicious.
Fabulous breakfast - great quality and plenty of choice. Food came with minimal wait and was nice and hot. Helpful and friendly service
Always a lovely meal with friendly helpful staff. Added advantage now that I have an electric car of being fully charged by the time I leave…..perfect all round.
Lovely atmosphere but very noisy. Could do with some soft furnishings to help reduce the noise.
Lovely fresh food that was so tasty. Staff are friendly and attentive.
Great place for breakfast or a spot of lunch. Shop has everything you need to find the perfect gift.
Loved it Good quality food - nicely presented Attentive staff Asked for a quiet table, that was respected Thanks so much
Lovely place to have a coffee and food. Not rushed to vacate table
Had lunch on Monday, a baked potato with tuna mayonnaise and my husband had a cheese and pickle sandwich plus two coffees. The food was delicious, arrived promptly and service was very friendly and helpful.
A beautiful place with great atmosphere and gorgeous home made food. I would highly recommend and a catch up hub with friends. Thank you.
Great service. Excellent quality of food and presentation. Bringing and keeping families together ❤
Always good, but the walls now have woven pieces mounted on the walls which cuts out the recerbation of sound and allows conversation, the final touch to the building, much better,
We had a Brunch of fresh orange juice, pancakes and coffee and everything was excellent. There is always a warm welcome and great service.
OMG what a little hidden gem this is ! Food is out of this world the chef is amazing, I don't like chips but these chips are crunchie and fluffy and morish. I had a cheese, red onion and pickle sandwich which was amazing a side salad and some crisp you get with it 😋. I ordered a side of chips and fried hollumi they have a kids menu ad well all home-made cakes that are fantastic, a variety of different ice cream. The waitresses are friendly, helpful especially Abbie and always a service with a smile, this is my new eating spot with a bonus of a shop with a variety of goodies.
Stopped by for Bruichladdich this morning. Had full English (swapped beans for hash browns). It's interesting to see that the default for eggs was poached - which is great. Only 4* because no black pudding - for me, an essential part of a breakfast. Brilliant service, very friendly. Lovely new space. Breakfast and two pots of tea circa £20.
I visited this morning.. the place was very busy which is a good sign! I ordered the little breakfast, which was nice, but would have been better if parts of it were hotter, cold baked beans are not for me!! Considering how busy it was the wait for table service was not long at all.. staff seemed on the ball and efficient. Good social distancing measures and table service in place and the waiting team ensured the tables and chairs were sanitized between each use. I liked that the kitchen was open aired so you can see the chefs at work! Would like to come back again!
Used to visit regularly, but due to other commitments, haven’t visited for the last 18 months. Lovely restaurant area, & pleasant staff, but prices very inflated. And sadly, although the cakes are usually lovely, the coffee & walnut cake was dry, the icing in the centre was hard, & the coffee icing on the top was like drinking a strong black coffee - not the mellow coffee flavour that comes with a coffee cake usually. We didn’t complain, as it had taken a long time to get served. We will go back again - hopefully this was a one off.
We are regulars here but the prices have gone a bit crazy. We had two slices of Quiche (not even warm) which come with a very small (but nice) side salad (no coleslaw anymore). With tea and a coffee it was nearly £40! We are both working full time in London so on good wages but I fear they are about to price themselves out. We get more in Central London for that money - a tea was £3.60!
Nice, but very expensive. £82 for 3 breakfasts, a few extras (hash browns, black pudding, avocado) a pot of tea for two, a coffee, and a water. Food was tasty but most of it was warm rather than hot. Service was friendly, but very slow. We won’t be going back which is a shame because it’s so local, it’s just too expensive for what it was. For £16.45 and £15.45 you’d expect at least the tea and coffee to be included, if not the extras. You are not allowed to swap ingredients, but can pay extra for something and they’ll leave out the ingredient you don’t want to waste.
The venue itself is a beautiful space with both a shop and restaurant, which initially sets high expectations. Unfortunately, the food and drink didn’t match the premium prices. A basic sandwich made with toast bread cost £10.95 and lacked quality. The margarita (£13.95) was also disappointing. Even the kids’ pasta tasted like it had been made with tomato concentrate rather than a proper sauce. Overall, lovely surroundings but poor value for money.
Very busy so i give them the benefit of the doubt, but when families of 4 have just sat down getting their food while we’ve been waiting 45 minutes for two burgers is pretty insane. £50 on a basic lunch is extortion, basic burgers and very greasy chips. Won’t be returning, Shame as it used to be so lovely.
Didn't eat in the cafe, was too cold for outside, so can't comment at all on the food, which I gather is good. Good selection of stuff, but pretty eye watering prices. Didn't feel valued as a customer at all, I don't think the woman who served us broke a smile. Although advertised as a farm shop, no veggies, just a piece of smoked salmon and bits in a fridge. Had gone looking for food stuff.
We stopped here for breakfast on the recommendation of friends. Unfortunately, we were not impressed. The restaurant was almost empty but we were granted with "Have you booked?" Not over friendly and quite ridiculous given the numbers in the restaurant. We had two breakfasts ; a muffin and scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs were fine but the muffin was no better than McDonald's! It was dry and the bacon was very average. Tea was fine but the coffee was quite poor. We also had an orange juice and a glass of water. At nearly £50 it was poor value for money for a very average experience.
After enjoying several breakfasts here in the past, me and my boyfriend decided to treat ourselves to yet another breakfast with you guys. Sadly, after our experience we can safely say it will be the last time dining here. I ordered pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, which I believe was about £10.50. I ordered an ice latte to start that was bought over by a very unfriendly member of staff, and the drink was overflowing milk everywhere. I fully appreciate that she could have been having a bad day, but she didn’t even say sorry or try and mop it up. Then my breakfast arrived- the pancakes were cold and tasted shop bought, and the bacon on top was completely fatty and undercooked. I wouldn’t have even paid half of what we did. I feel really disappointed by our experience as we have had many positive breakfasts here in the past and love having a mooch in the shop afterwards. We will have to hunt for a new breakfast place unfortunately as this just isn’t what it used to be.
The food at Frankies was always good but the last few times we have been there its gradually getting worse and dosent represent value for money. Today I had vegetarian quiche(very soggy and only just warm) 8 small cubes of sweet potato bites (stone cold). This came with a few bits of salad greens, no tomato, cucumber or any other salad items. I dont think this is £15 worth of food. Sadly we won't be returning.
Not sure who’s genius idea. It was to only open from 10 AM until 2 PM but I’ve been singing your praises to my Christmas relatives and family so we all came over to have something to eat and look around but you were closed. We arrived at about 245, which I thought Even over Christmas at least open until 4 o’clock, but I was wrong closing at 2 PM isn’t really worth opening is it?
