Our wedding on the 29th August was completely amazing, Lisa, Jo and all there team were fantastic. Completely exceeded our expectations. Couldn’t have wanted for a more wonderful venue. Food was amazing. The flowers Lisa arranged for the wedding were just beautiful. The day and evening flowed really well and effortlessly. Would highly recommend xx
We were the first to sample the chefs new variations on Frasers 7 course tasting menu and every mouth full was an absolute delight. All produce is locally sourced. Our waitress was 10/10 for her knowledge of the courses and her attentiveness. I would recommend this delightful place to everyone to try, you will not be disappointed!
My partner and I went for the 6 course tasting menu last night and wow the food was amazing, the beef just melted in your mouth! Our waitress was very informative with each course and it was a real delight to hear that everything on the menu is home grown or locally sourced. This was our first visit to Frasers and it certainly won’t be our last! Looking forward to next time ….
My husband and I had our wedding reception here in July 2017. The owner and manager were kind enough to negotiate a bespoke wedding package for us, making our wedding here affordable whilst encorporating the vibe we wanted to go for. The location is wonderful, and we were lucky enough but to have gorgeous weather which made the place look even more special. For our wedding breakfast we opted for afternoon tea and pimms. There was so much food, and it was all delicious. If I could have fitted more sausage rolls in my stomach then I would have done! The scones were also particularly scrumptious, and huge! A big thank you to all the staff who made our day go smoothly, and to the chefs for catering for all the different dietary requirements. We will be back for more of those sausage rolls!
We had an absolutely lovely night away for our anniversary. Our room was beautiful and the food - exceptional! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what they are serving. Can't wait for our next visit x
Beautiful and peaceful location. Our daughters wedding was held there and what a fantastic place they chose. Staff very attentive but discreet food was amazing from the canapes to the wedding breakfast. Rooms so comfortable and cosy and to finish off an amazing breakfast. Thank you Fraser's for making our daughters and son in laws day very special. Can't recommend frasers enough!
This is a lovely place just on outskirts of Egerton. Have had the pleasure of meeting the owners Lisa and Adam as well as some of staff and are all very nice. Recently took wife and 2 friends for afternoon tea. Service and food outstanding, sat out in lovely back garden in the sunshine. Will definitely be back with more friends and would recommend.
Superb locally sourced Sunday lunch in the heart of the Kent countryside. Our delicious Turkey dinner was served with modern, taster menu style, starters and a perfect pear frangipane for dessert. The warm welcome and service of the staff always make it difficult to leave. This is our family favourite for all occasions (including no occasion😋).
Frasers at Egerton is truly exceptional in every way. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and immaculately clean, making for a relaxing and welcoming stay. You can really feel the care and attention to detail throughout the entire place. The food is consistently outstanding. Whether it’s the steak, featherblade, vegetables, or desserts, everything is perfectly cooked and made with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. We have never had anything less than a 5-star experience here—every visit is a treat. What really sets Frasers apart, though, is the customer service. It is always exceptional, warm, and genuinely personalised, making you feel valued and well looked after every single time. It’s rare to find somewhere that delivers such a high standard across accommodation, food, and service, but Frasers does it effortlessly. We will absolutely continue to come back and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Frasers is best described in one word and three letters - WOW. We went for the first time this morning for a birthday breakfast. I chose the kedgeree - which was probably the best I’ve ever had and the rest of the family had the full English. We loved it. The staff were friendly and attentive, the chef came to say hello and the owners greeted us as if we were their best customers. What more can you ask for - delicious food, great service and my sons paid the bill! Thank you. 😂
I recently had my 80th Birthday party at Frasers. It was amazing, the food was second to none, the room setting and attention to detail could not be faulted. I must compliment Ben who oversaw the whole evening - what a helpful young man (nothing was too much trouble for him). In addition Josh King ( the magician) added the final touch to the evening. Thank you Frasers for an unforgettable evening.
Lovely experience enjoying an afternoon tea with a glass of bubbles! Really good service and excellent food, some of the best we have had. The gluten-free request for one of us was no problem and of exceptional quality, especially the scones, which are challenging to get right, but these were great. We really enjoyed ourselves.
We have been to Frasers many many times over the years and it's just the most perfect place to stay. We had one night this time with the 7 course taster meal. The chef they have at Frasers just cooks the most AMAZING food and deserves 5 stars on his own. The taste and presentation is first class, if you have never been and enjoy great flavours and all home made, home grown, local produce it's a must for sure, great service, pleasant staff and destination, you really should give it a go I guarantee you will return
We had our small intimate wedding at Frasers. My husband & I could not have asked for a more perfect setting for our special day. Jo and her team were exceptional in all that they did. I booked the absolutely stunning Pond cottage for the night before with my sisters. It was the perfect place to stay and prepare for becoming a bride:). From the moment we arrived we were taken care of. Thank you Jim (the chef ) for cooking a wonderful evening meal and serving us :). Thank you Jo, & your team. You are wonderful and looked after us, ensuring every fine detail of our stay and wedding was absolutely perfect. We choose to have our intimate ceremony in the gardens, this was followed by an absolutely delicious afternoon tea for our 30 guests in the most stunning barn resturant and a wonderfully relaxing several hours in a private garden with outside bar with family. We couldnt have asked for a better day & setting for our wedding. Thank you everyone for making our day absolutely perfect. Love Jim & Trish
My wife and I just had our wedding here. Absolutely stunning place. The food is to die for (Thanks to Jamie the chef), Lisa (the owner) is extremely nice and the rest of the staff are so nice and friendly too. Anything you need, they will sort. I would highly recommend this place for weddings, parties, corporate events or just for something to eat. The rooms are beautiful too. The bridal suite especially. Frasers is off the beaten track but definitely worth a visit. We will be going back again and again.
My Husband and I 😁 got married recently, in a small intimate ceremony with just our immediate family. From the first meeting Lisa completely got what we wanted and along with Jo, Ben and the rest of the team they created the most PERFECT day. We got married on the Stags barn lawn with a beautiful countryside back drop, the food and drinks that followed were incredible and every person who attended commented on how amazing it was. I have always loved Frasers and on the multiple occasions we have stayed or eaten, it has never disappointed. I cannot recommend Frasers enough!
We went for the festive afternoon tea and it was the best we've ever had. The food was amazing and worth the price. The staff were really friendly and in a lovely setting - you can see why they win all the awards they do. Our only small grumble is the driveway - I've never seen so many potholes! But well worth the bumpy journey to get there.
Lovely setting and great for a tech detox to recharge the batteries. The room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable and the lemon drizzle cake went down a treat! My only criticism was that the shower was very poor as there was no pressure at all. The breakfast was VERY tasty with a good variety available and all freshly cooked. All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
Fantastic! Could not fault . I had booked a family meal for my husbands birthday on 22 April 2023. The customer service was outstanding. They could not do enough for us . The food was delicious as well and the setting was stunning . Special thanks to Jo and her team . My husband honestly had the best day.
Having struggled to book anywhere for an overnight stay for our 25th wedding Anniversary, my husband stumbled across this ‘little gem’ whilst searching online. He spoke to Alexia who was delightful, friendly and arranged our booking in a professional manner. We arrived a couple of hours later and was greeted by Alexia who showed us to our room and made us feel very welcome. All very quaint, romantic and the bed very comfortable. The allotment garden with seating, heated lamps and lovely scenery was perfect for a pre-dinner drink and we were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunset. The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. My husband raved in particular about the homemade plum tart which we were told was made by Tom the pastry chef- we complimented at the time. The breakfast was to die for and was huge! The location although remote was only 20 mins from Leeds Castle where we spent the next day. Overall would highly recommend this ‘little gem in the Kent countryside’ if you’re after an extra special treat for a special occasion - well done to all the staff, hope to visit again one day!
My wife and I had afternoon tea here for mothers day. A lovely venue in the countryside. The scones were particularly good!
Getting there on public transport was a battle! Head to Headcorn but whatever you do google the "local" taxi companies. They all.come from a long way. You will have to agree to pay a premium.for them to.come.out to Headcorn station to take you to Fraser's! But and it is a BIG but, the trip was absolutely worth the trouble. The countryside driving out was majestic. Once I arrived at Fraser's it was clear that it is absolutely beautiful. It is a quaint property set in the middle.of "nowhere". The landscapes around the whole are an majestic. The facilities on site are intimate. It is not a venue for a large group. It provides bespoke and high class service. The loveliest staff team, funny and very interested. All their facilities, food and drink are very competitive. We did not have a "proper" meals but we had canapès and they were delightful. Drinks were well priced and not with a usual extortion associated with exclusive places. A definite must.
We had Valentine takeaway set menu. It was outstanding, lots of good food, would definitely recommend. This is the second time we have enjoyed food from frasers and we can’t wait to return , superb!
We had the 7 course taster menu twice there now and food is absolutely out of this world! We also stayed the night in Luxton and what a fantastic room it is. A must for every foodie and boutique hotel lover!
We had the most amazing Sunday lunch. Collected our order on Saturday with a step by step guide to cooking all the items. It truly was an amazing meal with lovely large portions. Highly recommended.
Best Hotel I've ever stopped at in the UK. Currently staying for the 3rd year in a row. The manager is super friendly, the chef superb!
My wife and I went to Frasers for dinner. Although my wife cannot eat gluten and so sometimes finds it hard to eat out, there were plenty of dishes which the chef was happy to adapt to remove the gluten and so we both had a good choice of options. The food was delicious (we both enjoyed our starters the most) and well presented. They have a good selection of reasonably priced wines as well, so I would recommend this restaurant whole-heartedly.
Fabulous place, very much off the beaten track. A sat nav is highly recommended to find it- but well worth a visit. A quaint setting and the marquee is decorated beautifully. Their afternoon tea is out of this world! A great place for a baby shower or family gathering. Prices have gone up in the last 2 years but still worth the money. Staff are super helpful and will pack up your leftovers to take home. We will be back!
I booked Frasers as a surprise for my wife's 40th birthday. We stayed in the Blenheim room, a converted 500 year old farm building, with high exposed beams, a huge bathroom and a four poster bed. The room was comfortable and spacious and exactly what I had hoped for. We had the 7 course testing menu in the evening, which had more game than we expected (pigeon and partridge) when compared to the sample menu online, but they didn't flinch when my wife asked if they could swap her partridge and they offered pork belly or sea bass as alternatives (she chose the latter). The rest of the meal was delicious, as we're the two bottles of Malbec we enjoyed too! In the morning we were treated to Frasers award-winning breakfasts. A buffet of cereal, fruits, nuts, granola and more, followed by toast with their own jams and marmalade, finished by a full English. All ingredients are locally sourced, and the quality comes out in the taste. Overall I would highly recommend Frasers. The only two small issues we had was the temperature of the room was a little high, and because it's a more intimate dining experience, there wasn't always someone front of house, which meant waiting to be greeted, but these are minor issues. 5 stars!
Fantastic night away. Food was amazing. Room was awesome. It rained all day and night but we still had the hot tub and the owner even drove us back to our room after our meal with a cheese board for supper.
Went here for afternoon tea and we are frasers regulars. Outstanding as always. Roasts here are fantastic too . Lovely friendly service and beautiful setting. Cannot recommend highly enough. As always we will be back !
Highly recommended. Food was superb, 7 course tasting menu was one of the best I've ever had. Service was great, welcoming and professional. Room was cosy and clean. Could not fault it.
Eating food here is an appreciation of quality food sourced locally and served with true classic ingredients and experience. A time not to be rushed. I have eaten 4 times in 4 years and it never fails to show me passion in food.
Realy worth a stay or just a meal. Rooms and food are good value for money. Take it easy around the final few road miles as some are very narrow. Lovely helpfull people work here in a smashing location.
Had the 6 course taster evening meal, overnight stay with Breakfast as a present and it was very good. The room was comfortable and quiet. We were the only folk for Breakfast and that was very good too, we had the personal attention of the chef, who was wonderful. All in all well worth the 400mile round trip....
Came here for friends surprise baby shower . Wow venue amazing so cute and clean staff friendly and professional made u feel very welcome. We had afternoon tea for party 15 nothing was not much trouble had plenty all round . Can tell chefs loves there job food was amazing each mouthful had pops of great flavour sasage roll was my favourt and lemon cake so light and fluffy refreshing not heavy or to sweet . And the little things like putting fresh flowers on tables, its the little touches that goes long way welcome feeling . Didnt get names but lady's who served use where so sweet and friendly and got what we needed quickly they where on ball refreshing tea and coffee with out asking thank u . Hidden gem in country
Funnily enough, our visit here was a gift from my sister. My partner had visited previously & recommended we try their "Cream Tea". It really was a joy, especially as we virtually had the place to ourselves, whilst staff were preparing for an impending Wedding function. A little off the beaten track, but such a delightful setting. A wonderful selection of sandwiches & sumptuous cakes. Certainly well worth a visit.
Had afternoon tea at Frasers, and it was lovely. A beautiful place, in the middle of nowhere. Once you find it, it's a real treat. Staff were very friendly, and the food was sublime.
A group of four of us went for the tasting menu, food was good and presented nicely. Staff could have been a bit more friendly. Its a great looking place , but lacks some atmosphere, maybe needs more subtle lighting. Wine overpriced,, if they had some at maybe 18.00 a bottle , people may be tempted to order more than 1 bottle.. 22.50 a bottle for pinot, or 24.50 for a average sauvignon blanc
Attractive hotel, good location, very friendly staff, good food, excellent parking. But really much too expensive for all the faults: Shower leaking into bathroom (design fault); no hot water in shower (in any of the 4 rooms we booked); very slow service (20 mins to get a cup of coffee); rooms so light they provide eye masks so you can sleep; whiff of septic tank around reception area. Just not good enough given their London-level prices.
We thought the overall experience in the restaurant was lacking. We were placed at a table between the entrance and the toilet, which should not have been a location for a table as it was freezing. The hotel reception is in the restaurant which meant guests kept coming in and out and speaking over us as we were eating, also refusing to close the door. My grandmother is 94 and we had to have a small fan heater to keep us warm. Although staff were friendly, service seemed uncoordinated. They only had tap water. The food was unseasoned and bland. We had to order before going to the restaurant due to their "field to fork" idea, which sounds good in theory, but was not executed. There was no explanation of the ingredients and where they came from and we were unsure about whether the ingredients were actually in season. The restaurant is in a very rural location, so you travel quite far and we were disappointed.
Food was superb: high quality and delicious. Definitely the shining star of the restaurant. The standard of service was much lower that what I would expect from a 2 AA Rosette restaurant: long waits, no check ins and tables not cleared for long lengths of time. Understandably there are changes at the moment due to the current pandemic and the procedures felt present and followed for customers to feel safe, but I felt this should not have an overt impact on the nature of serving and clearing in this restaurant. The food was overshadowed by the dining experience.
Attended a wedding and wasn't impressed. The location is lovely, you really are in the middle of nowhere, but you can only get a taxi if you book in advance and those taxis are very expensive as they (understandably) charge a premium. The canapés at the wedding were delicious and the rest of the food was ok, but the buffet logistics could be improved. The venue had no plan for dealing with rain - to get from the marquee to the buffet or toilets you had to go outside. The route isn't covered so you get wet, and you had to go down a slippery wooden ramp and negotiate a puddle at the entrance. Rather than mop the water up, or put down some rubber matting, the staff simply put a wet floor sign in the way of everyone. After the rain shower, the staff didn't bother drying the outside chairs and tables - we had to do it ourselves with napkins from the cake table. The staff just stood around watching us. The bar didn't sell any ale/bitter, such a shame given there are so many local breweries nearby. They also served drinks in disposable plastic, which was disappointing. Although I didn't stay at the venue, those that did (including the bride and groom) had to checkout by 8am, which I think is unreasonable. The venue is sold as an exclusive venue with only 1 wedding per weekend, but had weddings Friday, Saturday and Sunday when I was there and it really felt that the staff were suffering from the number of weddings - they were disinterested, moody and disorganised. I certainly wouldn't recommend this place as a wedding venue.
Hi wanted to give you some feedback on our recent visit for afternoon tea, having visited/stayed in the past we chose your venue as we had such a pleasant stay. However todays was disappointing, just a few things on the level of service that let the experience down, Being that it was afternoon tea I was surprised that the only tea in offer was breakfast, I asked for chai but was told not available and then the waitress had on go on the hunt for some Earl grey, We had to ask for the veloute as that wasn’t served. We were served coffee in a very nice gold cafeteria, but had to ask for it to be cleaned down as it had jam smeared over it and a sticky handle. I noticed the waiter served a cocktail to another table and was carrying it not by the stem or on a tray but holding the rim with his fingers. The other off putting thing was going to the toilet and having to use a shared hand towel, which I didn’t use and had to shake my hands and wipe on my clothes. Overall I don’t think we will be returning to Fraser l, which is a shame as we loved our first visit. Table of 4 3pm Afternoon tea
If I could give a zero I would. Terrible customer service. I had made a booking and confirmed the food I wanted (this has to be done in advance due to their cook to order process) I then arrived on the day and they did not have my order. Ok people make mistakes, but I then had to make contact with the same person to rebook and was not offered any apology until I had done this. I rebooked and then was sent a menu with no information of surcharges. After much toing and froing, I put my order in again for a Sunday lunch but received no confirmation or acknowledgement of this order. This had already been paid for via a gift voucher so I felt like we were treated like a burden rather than a paying customer and the fact that there was no confirmation sent I had no idea if my trip would be wasted again so I cut my losses and decided that if they are that bad with even putting together the booking, the food is probably below average. Genuinely the worst booking process and customer service I've had.
Booked to host my Baby Shower at Frasers in the Stags Barn as i loved the style, lighting and private hire feel for myself & guests. Paid a deposit and then was emailed to say they had to move my booking to the main restaurant which I had previously explained wasn't what I was looking for. Assuming they got a bigger party or booked the rooms out (probably more money). Disappointed to say the least in this venue as i have been many times and enjoyed the Afternoon Tea. BUT paying a deposit doesn't actually guarantee the booking/ area you requested. Still struggling to find someone else and with only 6 weeks to go but I'd maybe consider using this venue for small hires as they will most likely change it if more money is on offer.
I would never recommend this to anyone The business can not be trusted. Our family had a booking cancelled with no apology or explanation.
My stay was a wonderful experience until the two blonde cleaners decided to take £40 from my purse that had fallen out of my handbag in the room I was staying in. I could not fault the service/customer service/ food and overall stay but unfortunately this ruined it. The manager reimburse my money as a good will gesture but stated how they don’t employ staff that do that ‘kind of thing’ to my knowledge they clearly do. I have had to cancel all my cards too as I was afraid the women had taken a photo of them. Such a sad way to end my experience there. So just be vigilant with your personal belongings.
Hi was very upset and dissapointed after having a lovely afternoon with my close friends and family for my baby shower to find myself with a very expensive surprise bill at the end of it. Whiles we was all eating our afternoon tea i asked the lady does this come with a little bubbly of some sort? As the was glasses on the table. And she said "yes" ill bring that out right away after the food as the chef is very busy. Catering for 18 of us. A little while later the very kind lady arrived with a bottle of prossecco unknown to me this was an extra £26 per bottle. The was 18 of us so she kept opening bottles till we all had a glass even tho some of us where not drinking. Before i knew any of this i also asked for a lemonaid and this was highligted to me that an extra £2.50 charge will be added at the end. I had people all around me which witnessed all of this and to them finish a lovely afternoon upset and distressed once everybody had gone to find myself with an £83 bill was not impressed. ( 3 bottles at £26 and 2 lemonaids £2.50) To everybody who visits this establishment please please make sure you ask at all times or have in writting whats included as you may find yourself with a surprise bill at the end. Apart from this the place is beautifull, clean and the food is lovely. Def recommend a visit, but be aware.. surprises come at a very expensive price!!
