4 of us went for Sunday Lunch/Dinner around 3pm. Friendly staff and a decent range of food choices. Large portions and tasty. Nice little Pub
This pub dates back to 1378. It’s a low beamed building so watch your head. Menu was good and food delicious. Staff helpful and friendly. There was a real fireplace burning. It’s a very kids friendly and dog friendly place. Customer car park round the back and beer garden for warmer months.
Enjoyed a catch up with my friend over a glass of wine and a very tasty lunch .I had the steak & ale pie, mash ,gravy and vegetables .My first choice was the mushroom pie but they had sold out .Welcoming and cheerful staff .Log burning fire was cosy on a cold January day ! Furry friends welcome and biscuits & fresh water for them too ! There is an outside area for warmer days !
Came here today for the first time to this lovely pub called the angel inn in Addington Kent.. we had a lovely Sunday beef roast will be coming back .. the chef did a lovely Sunday roast? Thanks
Absolutely brilliant 👏 loved the whole place, very good choice of food, great staff, helpful and entertaining couldn't do more for you! Our friends were of the same opinion and I've already booked our next lunch together and we'll be bringing our miniature Schnauzers this time. Great to see such a dog friendly place Thanks again Adrian
Additional review 25 December booked Christmss lunch which was superb. Great food, choices and value for money (bearing in mind it was Christmas Day). Friendly and attentive staff. Would thoroughly recomnend had an excellent time and delicious food. Really lovely public house with fantastic food, excellent choice, fabulous friendly staff and service. Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Very lovely country pub! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We sat in the stables and had a wonderful evening. We had the Tapas, followed by the sea bass (would recommend highly) & steak and ale pie. Couldn’t say no to the desserts board and had the homemade sticky toffee (also loved) and the cheesecake. Even the ice cream was excellent. Will deffo recommend and return.
Lovely pub, great staff good service and good food. I'd recommend booking in advance as it can get quite busy even early in the day.
This is a charming historical cosy pub, with a log fire. The food and service are excellent. Would definitely recommend this pub for a visit.
Booked here last minute due to a change in plans and I can say it was such a great choice. The person serving us was so nice and friendly and made us feel at home straight away. The food was very nice and reasonably priced? Huge thumbs up!! So thanks Becky for keeping us laughing all night
Had a fabulous lunch here. Sat in the beautiful garden. Delicious food and very friendly staff. Thank you xx
Absolutely beautiful place x food delicious Atmosphere fabulous and service very good Defo add to your list of must go to places xx
What a lovely pub. Great food and the portion size is unbelievable. Polite people and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended
I used to live in the village about 30 odd years ago so popped in for something to eat and drink out of nostalgia. And sat by the fire with my newspaper with my lovely meal and a pint of larger.magic
Lovely place, a peaceful oasis. Excellent good, excellent service and excellent price
Had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch with a small group of friends and family. The staff were efficient and friendly. Food was very good and a good selection of drinks. The only downside is that the car park is relatively small and can be full at popular times. Would certainly visit again.
Just wanted to say thank you for our lunch experience great service and great food.
We spent Christmas Day at The Angel. We had such a lovely time. The 3 course food was excellent and the service was so aware this enabled us to relax and enjoy. We were the last to leave as we were having such a good time. The stable area was decorated amazingly and set out to make the Christmas spirit. Well done and thank you.
Lovely old England pub on a quaint country green. The rear garden has covered space for eating and the front has seating for summer days and watching the world go by. Highly recommended for a visit.
This pub is fairly local to me and I havnt a clue why I hadn't been here before. It's a fantastic pub. Great food, beautiful inside especially all the Xmas light, I sat in the stable restaurant this time. The staff are so lovely and friendly..and chatty and attentive to your every needs. 10/10 from me! Love it..
I visited with a friend on a Wednesday evening. It was very quiet which was nice. Staff were very friendly. Food was lovely, we both had a poke bowl each and I enjoyed every bit. Good value.
This is the 2nd time that I have eaten here after a recommendation from a friend and I have to admit that I have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. My only criticism would be the space between tables, but that is really a little issue. Looking forward to my next visit.
Lovely country pub. Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Very dog friendly. Lovely seating area out the front and rear. We didn't eat, but food being served looked delicious. We will definitely be returning there to eat.
We had a fantastic meal and experience here, a lovely pub, with fantastic food, you won't leave here hungry. Reasonable prices especially for the portion size. We will definitely return here. Call to book a table to avoid disappointment.
We had a lovely Sunday lunch today, the food was good, the chicken, ham and leek pie was delicious as was the lemon meringue pie. We were given the perfect amount of time to decide what we wanted to eat, just one hiccup, the waitress asked if we wanted the dessert menus but then I had to ask for them when they didn't arrive.
Popped in for a quick drink and a bar snack. Had the loaded fries. Excellent. Other food people were eating looked lovely. Going back again
My visit on a quiet, sunny Saturday afternoon was very pleasant. Lovely garden, good tapas, well priced and very reasonable portions, looking forward to trying a few more dishes. Jill was really personable and welcoming, thank you!
The owners are hilarious! There's a sign at the entrance. I loved it. I'll be visiting again, this showed the owners attitude and well it's the perfect pub for me.
Went for Sunday Lunch, one of the best I've had for years. All fresh cooked potatoes and veg, not frozen. Lovely friendly staff very polite and attentive. Would definitely go again.
Absolutely FANTASTIC food. I got the homemade chicken tikka masala - great portion size and really, really tasty. The cheesy garlic bread was also surprisingly really good. Great attentive staff who were ready to take orders whenever needed. Great beer garden in the sun too. Thanks guys.
Absolutely delightful Pub. Extremely polite staff, great food and choice of beverages. Nice friendly atmosphere to go with it.
Lovely meal at 4 pm on New Years Eve- before the fully booked evening rush.
After driving around looking for somewhere to have lunch and rejecting one or two pubs en route we came across this very pretty Inn and was instantly drawn to its beautiful surroundings. We both had the turkey roast which was delicious followed by an equally tasty cheesecake! The service from the young girls working there was impeccable and perfect ambience to match! Would thoroughly recommend a visit!
I was there on a sunny Friday lunchtime in late September. Had a low alcohol beer and a lovely sausage sandwich, outside, looking at the green Lovely.
Wide range of gluten free options including burgers, fish and chips and sandwiches.
Very charming pub, friendly staff. I didn't order food
We visited this lovely little pub today and thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was great pub food and the portions were very generous. The girls behind the bar and serving were friendly, polite and welcoming! We will definatley be back.
Good tasty food, and huge portions. You will not go hungry. The landlady is on the ball with everything around her, and she has a laugh with you. Which is nice. Clean and tidy place and staff knows what they doing. A good experience to have.
Had a Sunday roast, its a lovely unique country pub that use to be stables. My roast was average , service was friendly and pleasant. Lovely decorated pub , relaxing and calm and they are also dog friendly pity its so far out of London.
Brilliant country pub. Parking at rear. Table and seating sounding outside. Very cosy feel. An exceptional function room, separate to the pub, perfect for parties. A good selection of bears on tap, no fruit shoots though! Nicely furnished. Dog friendly. Open fire in the corner. Good food, try the battered brie. A lovely place to spend an evening or two.
Dog friendly as l do not go anywhere with out them. Nice selection of good food and friendly staff. The portion of Gypsy Tart was the smallest l have ever seen in Kent and l am a bit of a expect. I had crab pasta was very tasty and hit the spot.
We went there for a late lunch on Saturday. We had tapas instead of the usual burgers, sandwiches, steak with chips. We sat in the old stable side of the restaurant. Big parking lot with outdoor seating as well.
I have given 3 stars, because unfortunately the food didn't really suit my diet. Salmon with cheese on top was the best dish I could find. The cheese didn't complement the fish at all. The service, however, was excellent. The atmosphere outside in the sun was lovely 😍
Visited for Valentines evening. Pre booked and paid £25 deposit which came off the bill. Food - Outstanding! We had Starters/Mains & Dessert which all did not disappoint. Food portions are very generous for what you pay. What you want from a lovely country pub. The only small let down was the Service. Now I understand it was Valentine’s and the pub was full but upon arriving our welcome drinks of Prosecco took quite a while to arrive - about 15-20 minutes. Once our drinks arrived we ordered food pretty much straight away. After the starters we ordered more drinks but this again took a considerable about of time to arrive, so I had to ask where our drinks were. Once we had finished our mains, we asked to see the dessert menu but again this took around 30 mins to come. To the point that I asked the lady again who cleared our plates if we could have those dessert menus. I couldn’t help thinking that because we weren’t sitting in the main bar area our tables were forgotten about. I wanted to share this mainly because my Wife & I were so pleased with the food. Had we not had to ask several times for our drinks to arrive and the menu it would have been the perfect visit.
Could be a lot better, lamb was nice but the plate was let down by the lack of sauce and only one vegetable. A shame for the money (17.50 a plate) it should have offered a lot more.
The service and staff were great; really friendly and helpful. But the food was honestly the worst thing I’d had in a long time. My teenage son described his meal as “reheated school dinners”. And I thought that summed it up perfectly. When I got the bill I felt angry and resentful by the extortionate amount I was being charged. If you are after a drink then I’d recommend it. But if you want food then give this a miss. This area is graced with lots of amazing local pubs which serve fantastic food. Travel a couple of extra miles and choose one of those instead.
The food was not very good and there was no atmosphere whatsoever in the outside eating area. No music no atmosphere. We waited 30 mins plus for our drinks and even longer for meals that were sub standard. Overall a very disappointing evening
Never got to eat food yesterday as they didn’t even acknowledge my husband at the bar… I heard the older lady behind the bar tell the young waitress to “leave him we have food to get out of the kitchen” the waitress tried bless her but to not even get a “Hello we will be with you as soon as we can” just the hostility of a cold shoulder meant we went elsewhere and glad we did! Impeccable food and service at The Neville Bull 👌
Food inedible barely touched my meal but they only took the price of a cappuccino off certainly wont recommend and wont be going back. Don't cater for gluten free very poor
Decided to arrange a birthday meal for a family friend as a surprise. 20 of us met up and prebooked food and paid deposit. Food was ok. mortified when we got our birthday cake out and they told us they would charge us £80 for eating our cake there!!!! I have never heard of this cakerage fee before. Waitresses were hugely embarrassed but boss would not back down or come out to us. Felt bad for the poor girls serving us. We spent a fair amount on food and drink so this really did spoil what was supposed to be a good night. We ended up going to a local pub up the road afterwards who welcomed us with the cake and didn’t charge us. No wonder some restaurants are struggling. I would never go back there and now understand how the local residents feel about their negative experiences there.
