I went to Din Tai Fung at the Del Amo Fashion Center—and it was as good as always! I stuck with my go-to, the Chicken Fried Noodles, which were absolutely delicious, and I also had the Chicken Dumplings—amazing as always. For the first time that day, I tried the Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin, and wow—it was incredible. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. I do wish there had been a little side of rice with it—it would have been the perfect match. Definitely a 10/10, and I think I’m officially addicted! The location was very busy. Table seating was estimated at 45 minutes to an hour, so we opted for the bar, which still took about 25 minutes. The bar and restaurant were bustling, and the service was okay considering how packed it was—totally understandable with so many people dining. Overall, it was another great experience at Din Tai Fung. My only wish is that there was a faster way to get a seat, but even with the wait, it’s totally worth it.

Always busy for a reason! The spicy chicken wontons, rice cakes and chocolate dumplings are incredible. The greens beans and cucumber salad are also very good. I’d skip the fried rice but enjoy my meal every time!

Comes very highly recommended and was well worth it. An interesting fact - The average McDonald's location does 3 million a year in AUV. Chick-fil-A does $9. Din Tai Fung does $27m The place was very, very busy when we went. Around 7:30 on a Tuesday evening. Highly recommend that you get a reservation. The food is really expensive, but extremely high quality and worth the trip. Definitely recommend the beans, soup dumplings. We ordered a bunch of food as a group and shared it. Service was quick and exceptional. You aren't waiting around for very long. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was really cool. There is a window where you can watch the making the dumplings. Overall I feel like it's a must do if you are in a city that has one

The legendary dumpling spot located in the Del Amo Mall.. they have all sorts of fun small plates, and various dumplings including the ones that melt in your mouth. They are hand made in an open prep space you can see from the entrance and that comes through when you taste them. The place has tons of staff and is well managed. They get super busy but the service is efficient and everything runs well. The cabbage dish is simple and yummy.. and the chocolate dumplings are a sweet and unique way to finish a memorable dining experience.

I am a regular at this point. There is nothing here that doesn’t taste good. My servers are always well educated on the menu and always a pleasant experience. Your food is always made fresh yet doesn’t take hours to get to your table. The ambience is peaceful and the atmosphere is very much alike. I look forward to every new experience I have at this establishment. Thanks to the management for making sure this all runs smoothly and always top quality is provided.

We tried just about all the dumplings and potstickers. The pork truffle were my favorite. The fried rice and noodle dishes were great as well. I highly recommend trying this place.

The place is amazing, and the service, extraordinary. The one thing I didn't enjoy that much was the food 😔 maybe I got the wrong plates. The chicken and mushrooms bao felt like it was stuffed with frozen food, nothing juicy or flavored, just a dough inside. The beef noodle was a little bit better, it was full of textures and the cilantro gave a nice freshness touch. Prices and portions are quite decent.

Spectacular Taiwanese food. This location is within the mall on the upper level. The restaurant is very popular and gets quite busy. Highly recommend making reservations. I have been to locations in Singapore, Taiwan, San Diego, and LA. This location seemed louder than most places. Service was good. Food was amazing as always. For vegetarians, there are veg dumplings. Cucumber salad has a fresh clean flavor. Mushrooms are pretty good as well. Highly recommend the noodles with spicy sauce.

Great place to eat! The food came out quickly and the price was surprisingly good for the amount and quality. It’s a good splurge to have! Biggest complaint is the walk in line is the same as the reservation line. So, if the line is long and you are running late, have someone stand in line and have someone go to the front to show them your reservations. They should split the line since they make you wait by the dumpling window if you have reservations anyways. I’ll update my review when they fix this issue. People that make reservations shouldn’t have to stress about being in a long line since they took the time to plan for their time and their company. Good thing we arrived 30 minutes early because the walk-in line that they put us in was long at first. So, we took a lap around the mall and came back 15 minutes before our reservation. Thank goodness, they seated people already in the line was gone.

What a fun place to eat! I’m a vegetarian and was worried I wouldn’t find much on the menu that I could eat. I was wrong. The cucumber salad, vegetarian dumplings and fried rice were fabulous. We decided to try the chocolate dumplings which didn’t sound very appetizing but boy oh boy! They were amazingly tasty! In a single bite you have a hot chocolate lava flow in your mouth! Yum! Reservations recommended.

I can say that we chose almost a perfect variety of dishes for the party. Each one was marvelous.okay they are pricey, no doubt,but you are also getting some high quality food. I didn't like the wait and the chaotic vibe of trying to be seated.once seated, we were inches from the people beside us. From the buns, to the side dishes and dumplings. Each dish was packed with flavor. Would I go back and pay those prices? Probably not since Chinatown has cheaper and more variety of selection. Worth a try though. I don't regret going.

If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to dine in a place where time stands still—and not in a poetic way—this restaurant provides the perfect case study. The décor appears to be curated from the “Forgotten Storage Closet” collection, and the cleanliness level suggests that dust has achieved permanent residency status. The food was a triumph of mediocrity. Each dish arrived with the enthusiasm of a tired sigh: cold, flavorless, and carrying the unmistakable charm of something that once lived in a freezer and desperately wishes it still did. Truly, a masterclass in how not to season, cook, or serve anything. The service elevated the experience to new heights—if those heights are the bottom of a canyon. Staff members demonstrated impressive multitasking skills by simultaneously ignoring guests and scrolling on their phones. Their commentary, delivered with the subtlety of a foghorn, added a unique “interactive theater” element to the meal. Unfortunately, the script consisted mostly of rudeness and disrespect. Management appears to be on a permanent lunch break, which would explain the glacial wait times and the general sense of chaos. If there was a plan, it must have been left in the freezer with the food. In conclusion, this establishment offers an unforgettable experience—mainly because you’ll spend the rest of the week wondering how it managed to go so spectacularly wrong. I will not be returning, though I sincerely hope the food eventually warms up for someone.
