Just had a fantastic experience at Tuxton’s! Monica and Lizzy were outstanding waitresses, providing top-notch service with a smile. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious, and the fresh-squeezed orange juice was a perfect start to the day. The food was amazing, and the ambiance was perfect. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dining experience. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This place was awesome. We were visiting the area and decided to stop in for lunch. We had tried to stop in on Saturday but it was packed. So, we on Monday afternoon to take a break from checking out used bookstores. There was only one other table occupied. Our waiter was being trained by another server and they were both great. The atmosphere was cozy, and the food was fantastic. My son said he wished we had one where we're from. I agreed. Definitely glad we stopped in.

Great stop for a meal. Some of the best sit-down burgers. Most can't go wrong with the All-American but everyone that I've tried was good. Their sweet potato fries are also really done well. We also order for pickup, so burgers are quick but if you are dining in, I've only tried a few but never had a complaint with any of the entrees I tried. The chef and owner are also very attentive and you can often find them checking on their patrons by stopping by, just to make sure you're doing well.

This is always the breakfast/brunch spot we come anytime we are in the Palos Verde area. The food is always delicious & the alcohol drinks are well made. The customer service is top notch as well. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a tasty breakfast

Very good comfort food. Their Whiskey Apple Sour cocktail was dangerously delicious. Shepherds pie was served super hot but good & desserts were divine. The savory Monkey Bread was fantastic.

I have been here twice and both times the food and drinks have been amazing! New timer joined and could not believe how good the Mac and Cheese and shrimp were prepared and tasted. Drinks were on point and service was top notch. Benjamin was the best waiter. Talked to every patron like a regular. Super chill and cool guy. Will be coming back.

Got the chicken club and it was really good. It looked more like a burger than a normal club sandwich. The bacon was thick and crispy which added some nice texture. We also got the shrimp tacos, they were packed with favor which was delicious and somewhat surprising. The food was a little expensive but everywhere is expensive nowadays, for the quality of food and atmosphere I would definitely come back again.

Truxton's is my absolute favorite restaurant. I've never had anything from here that I didn't like. I've been vegan for 6 years and before then, I loved their Kicked Up Mac N Cheese. Now, I love their Veggie Steak Tacos. This time, I tried their Veg N Out Burger and was not disappointed. It was delicious! My mom had the fish N chips and she's still taking about it hours later! This was my first time at this location as I used to live closer to the Westchester location. Nevertheless, the food was fresh, flavorful, and wonderful staff. I can't recommend Truxton's enough!

You cannot go wrong at Truxtons. You could go here everyday and never have the same this twice. I live in San Diego and every time I visit my parents in the area I go to Truxtons. It’s my favorite spot in the South Bay.

My Mom had been telling me I needed to try this place. And I finally did. We were sat immediately after arriving at 5:15 on a Saturday early evening. Our server came over soon after sitting to ask if we’d like something to drink and not long after that, she took our food order. We started with the pull apart Monkey Bread that come with dipping sauces. We almost ordered another bread but we wanted desert so we saved the space. I ordered the crispy baja fish tacos and my wife ordered the New Delhi curry. We both like our entrees. We both sampled each other’s food and we both would order each other’s entrees. For desert I ordered the banana pudding and my wife had the apple tart. Both were very good and perfect size. We plan to return and I would recommend.

The waiter handled 25 of us like a pro. This was an outstanding experience. Everything served was outstanding! The monkey bread is a must try, and dont sleep on those burgers! If you have a sweet tooth, the cookie is to die for. The outdoor patio was perfect for us. We will be back!

Our sandwiches and fries were good; would like to try more from the menu. Our server was friendly and attentive. TV's had playoff football games on so you could watch but without it imposing a sports bar feel. I think we'll be back.

We could not take photos in time before devouring the amazing cake. What really impressed me was the hot water with lemon after our dessert. We had already paid, and I mentioned I was cold, Harley brought our table hot tea with lemon, I enjoyed the hot water with lemon. It was the perfect touch after a lovely dining experience. When I visit LA., this will be on my list of favorite restaurants to visit.

I stumbled upon Truxton's on Reddit of all places which was recommended by a couple of people. After checking them out on Yelp I saw that the majority of the reviews were very positive about service and food quality. I reached out to Shevaun at Truxton's and she is my new hero! Not only was she extremely pleasant to deal with, she made my lunch a breeze! She helped me determine my menu and how much I should order and they were able to deliver to my meeting in El Segundo. The driver was exactly on time, they set up the food and even had little descriptors for the dishes. The clients raved about the food and there wasn't any left over. I will be sure to use them for future catering especially as their menu is quite diverse! I ended up doing Italian this round but am eager to sample more menu items. Thank you Shevaun and Truxton's!

Even their napkins, utensils and plates are not cheap looking. Servers are very nice all the time. And their food? Higher quality and taste than you pay for!!! Very tasty!!! They have catering too!

Great food! I had the wedge salad and the American Burger. The tomatoes alone on that salad were legendary. Staff was beyond kind.

A friend brought me to Truxton's American Bistro, located in the Hillside Village Shopping Center for a late lunch. Their menu has a well balanced mix of dishes to satisfy any appetite. I ordered one of their Favorite items on their Menu, the Sweet & Spicy Shrimp Tacos which is served with corn and poblano brown rice and black beans or your choice of a side. I chose their side of Sweet potato Fries. I loved it! The slaw on top was refreshing and delicious and their shrimp was seasoned in a perfect harmony of sweet and spicy. Our server was so friendly and efficient. I would come here again and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Update review, November 2024: Great place for breakfast, weekdays and weekends! We arrived on a weekd day morning and we were seated immediately. I ordered the START YOUR DAY RIGHT BOWL: Brown rice studded with corn & poblanos topped with 2 eggs any style, cheddar cheese, diced crispy chicken, chipotle mayo & pico de gallo. This was delicious, filling and healthy! My husband ordered the 14th Street Breakfast: Two fried eggs with brie cheese, applewood smoked bacon, arugula & garlic mayo on toasted sourdough bread. Served with choice of fruit or potatoes. We love Truxtons and it is always hard to pick what to eat, because everything on the menu looks good! There is a free private parking lot on the premises.I am a fan of Truxtons and today I tried the Torrence location. It is very cozy! We chose to sit in the covered front patio which had a nice breeze. Inside was nice too, but darker. It was a beautiful day so we opted to sit where we could have the sunshine come through the window. Kaitlyn, our server was the Best! She was patient and allowed my friend and I to take our time to decide on the many options on the menu. Kaitlyn was very attentive with a smile! I chose the Chicken Tinga Bowl and my friend, the small Truxtons salad with cheese on the side and just lemon wedges instead of salad dressing. She also ordered a side of fruit. My Tinga bowl was very filling, spicy and tasty. The interior of the restaurant has a bar as well as booths and tables. The single unit gender bathrooms are clean and nice. Next time I am on this neighborhood, I will definitely stop in. Truxtons has healthy good options for everyone.

She was very familiar with the menu and answered all our questions with high quality answers. My wife ordered the tuna poke salad I ordered the Portland Burger. The poke was very good. The Portland Burger was cooked to perfection med rare and possibly the best burger I have ever ordered. All toppings created a fantastic flavor blend. Thanks Truxton's for a fantastic dinner

I love Truxton's! When they first opened in Torrance I ordered Donna's Fish & Chips. They were outstanding! 2 very large fish pieces surrounded by hefty, wonderful French fries. Delicious! Over the years I continued to enjoy them. However, in recent years I noticed a significant change, and not for the better: Their fish gradually declined in size, to where they are about half the size they used to be. The taste of the fish is about the same, but I can't say that for their fries. They are small and skinny. And don't have the flavor I expected. But I continue to eat at Truxton's. Breakfast is incredible!

I had been meaning to try this place for a while, and my wife and I finally are here the other night. I was not disappointed. I would say that the food and drink menus were small, but carefully curated is probably a better way to put it. I ordered a seasonal specialty hamburger and my wife got tacos, and both were excellent. The burger paired well with a beer as called out on the menu. My wife really enjoyed the tacos as well. The vibe in the restaurant is cool and friendly. We were seated in a sort of three season room; a compromise between indoor and outdoor. We were comfortable, but could have asked for a heater if we got cold. The staff were friendly and attentive, and took good care of us. The prices were a bit high, but again, the food was delicious. This was a good date night spot, but they also offer brunch. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the South Bay!

I ordered home delivery thru GrubHub… They make great flourless chocolate cake but the chicken was inedible. It was pink&red inside so I couldn’t eat it. The steamed veggies were ok so maybe I could’ve given one more star. I didn’t have access to a microwave or stove so I couldn’t cook it&I would’ve hesitated to eat it anyway not knowing how long it sat in the partially cooked state…

Placed an order for curbside delivery thats suppose to be ready by 10:22, i called 3 times no one answer, I tried option 2 in the automated menu and the recorded prompt says you only have 11-3pm for takeout/delivery/pickup orders. Now I am forced to go inside for my order and had to wait for a bit for staff to help me. Now food is luke warm and soggy. Not worth it for paying $100+. Maybe fix your system, it ruins the good food this place offers.

We just came back from their happy hour and The food was like average cafeteria food.The service was also disappointing. I also want to mention that their bread was stale . If you want to have a good experience for happy hour go to a restaurant on Catalina Avenue in Redondo beach. Don’t waste your time or money at this place !!!
