Country Pride receives mixed reviews. Many praise the large portions, clean environment, and attentive service, especially from Sammy. Complaints include slow service at times, high prices for the portion sizes, and inconsistent food quality.
Tip: The restaurant is located inside a TA truck stop, making it a convenient stop for travelers. Be aware that service can be slow at times, especially when the place is not busy.
I’m trucker & this restaurant became my favorite stop, amazing service with beautiful smiling faces.
T/A is a very good truck stop and most of them have Country Pride restaurants in them and they are very good for your comfort food offerings.
It's not usual for a sit down restaurant any more from ta great to have a restaurant instead of fast food. Healthier foods and better selection. Thx for not replacing this one ta needs to stop putting only fast food in
Great food and service! Visited while I was in the area and was impressed. Definitely worth stopping by.
I had the vagina steak, it was delicious, the PH balance was just fine
Excellent service and great food my waitress Theresa was very friendly and takes care of her customers and she doesn't keep them waiting, i would recommend this place to anyone
It saved my butt on my 34 hr reset parking. Smoke inside but other than that pretty good overall.
Our Server Justine was GREAT food was ok new cook was slow and didn't read order slip missed things over all OK
Fantastic! I make a special trip over from I87 to eat here! Excellent corned beef hash platter and excellent and friendly staff!
Great food, great service but the price was a little much. 2 traditional breakfast with extra bacon and extra order of home fries, 1 large oj, 1 small came to $43.. the food and service was great just thought that price was a little steep..
Been here two today’s and Awesome group, great service and food. Best country pride around thanks for the soup, they were great. The young man Aaron he’s the model employee, I have no doubt he’ll succeed here or any establishment.
Normally good service and good food. The last time I was there food had to go back because my steak was not cook right. I ordered medium rare and got rare.
Staff were very nice. Tex mex was very good would order again Dine in was 5 stars, Nice sized portions.
Excellent food, and fast service, l have been there many times, if you are on the road it's a great place to eat.
Over easy eggs were perfect French toast was great and served a good size portion of bacon me and my son loved it
So much food! But it was my first time there but won't be the last. Clean, welcoming, great staff.
Service good mash potatoes cold silverware dirty.minus that ok. Npw monday had breakfast food hot service excellant place clean Probably the the diference is yesterday wasva nad day fr them today they are excellant
I really enjoyed my breakfast, and the strawberry shortcake was great. Our waitress was superb. Thank you for a great wait staff.
Had a fantastic experience today at Country Pride. Food was good but the service was excellent. Justine was friendly, had positive disposition, worked hard to take care of a full restaurant and made it look effortless. I wanted for nothing and all of my needs were met. She left a lasting impression. Service and positivity make all the difference. Outstanding effort. 10/10 experience.
What a great place to park. The staff are amazing. Every one from the fuel desk, to the hostesses in the restaurant, (and don't forget the cook), to the convenience store clerks, to the maintenance staff keeping the property clean and accommodating, are friendly, professional and just a warm, great bunch of people. I very much appreciate all your hard work and kindness. You folks rock.
Wow! This is the best breakfast I've had at a truck stop! Sausage was not dry and was very tender, eggs cooked perfectly, and hashbrowns were not over or under cooked! My server Tammy was great as well.
My 12oz Ribeye Steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The chicken n dumbling soup was delicious for a northeastern recipe. The salad bar was well stocked with fresh vegetables and fruit. Oh, customer service from the manager to the girl handling my To Go Order was hospitable and pleasant. I enjoyed my food and my visit. ❤ 🇺🇸
Best Country Fried Steak I've enjoyed in a LONG WHILE.Smothered in County Gravy and served with hefty sides of Mac-n-Cheese and Real Mash ..Home Cooking with fast food prices served up with a friendly smile...Thx for dinner Country Pride.
Great new and enlarged salad bar. Best in the area all u can eat fish every friday. Also They cook the steaks perfectly EVERY time!
This is a great restaurant! The service was awesome and I was in a group of 7. My food (a steak, hashbrowns, and pancakes) was absolutely delicious. I would definitely eat there again!!!
This is the place I mentioned in my Super 8 at Wyndham review... They're right across the street. New owner since I was there last but they definitely didn't drop the ball. One day I ordered the trucker special breakfast sandwich which is an egg sandwich with ham, bacon, sausage and egg of course. At first I was disappointed because it was served on a hero roll. From my experience, a breakfast sandwich on a hero is always thin and lacking. But to my surprise it was perfectly loaded up and delicious. If I had to say anything negative, they should advertise on the menu that it comes on a hero. Only because it might be just too much for some people. And, or, offer a choice between a hero and a hard roll. Other than that, they have many home made dishes to choose from and no matter your choice, they are all excellent!
New menu is awesome!!! Just had the fish and shrimp combo with rice and loaded has browns. Just awesome.
This was my first time in a Country Pride, and I realize the name does the place Justice. It being the 4th of July, me being a veteran - my breakfast was free!!! That was such an awesome experience, and I felt honored. The food was great, endless and the service was exceptional.
I definitely recommend this restaurant. I. was super hungry, so I ordered dinner to go. It took only 10 minutes to be ready. Ladies here were very nice and kind. While I was waiting, I noticed that place is clean and well organized. My food was very delicious 😋 Yeah, it’s one extra mile to get in and out of the highway, but I don’t regret.
Nice big & clean place! Our server was great, wish I woulda got his name but he’s hard to miss lol, real tall young man with dark wavy hair, very nice! My husband had a Salmon dinner, nice clean food, he said it’s very good! The only complaint is the size of Salmon, it’s a real small portion. Otherwise everything was just fine, thank you! (Forgot to get a pik)
I gave it a three star because they just aren't what they used to be 🤷🏻♂️ the food is still good but I feel like year after year the menus become more and more limited
My burger was very good, the pre-made Not so good. Our server was the best.
Yes agree nice clean place, they make a mean hamburger steak with gravy and onions, restroom really clean even mirrors door glass thank you for making this trip much better
In the world of trucking Country Pride is one of those chain restaurants that reminds you of the old greasy spoon mom and pop restaurants from days gone by. You can get your cheeseburger and fries here or you can give something a little bit fancier but don't expect the five star cuisine
Food was great, waitress and manager were too busy talking. Had to flag her down just to get a drink refill. Only 4 customers at the time.
The portion doesn't match the price of the plate. I had the buffalo mac n cheese, the taste was average but I felt like $15 was too much for the little amount of food.
I was heading up to Boston to see family and I stopped at this place for lunch on the way there coming from Maryland and the food was pretty good I order the surf and turf meal and was pretty good would definitely come here again.
One of the better T/A ...in the country, nice friendly staff very clean and the restaurant was better then most also. My food was fresh hot and prepared right and the waitress was very cheerful and nice also. Great place to stop however parking fills up early, do, get there early or call ahead and reserve a spot.
Had the long haul breakfast which is funny because I have the long hauler covid symptoms. It was a lot of food for a decent price. I didn't eat all of it. The biscuits were too dry but the pancakes were delicious!
Food was good but they only had one waitress so service was slow.
Tammy was nice. Had a all meat omelet, some foul stale smell was in one of the meats.
Discontinued baked potato which is better health wise over fries
All differ.. depends on who's the cook that day. A little pricey. Skimpy on the hash browns, the eggs & country fried steak over cooked. Nice ppl
Very good salad bar and today's chicken pot pie soup was great. Very good service. For my entree I got the beef stroganoff. Had an off taste. Meat was chewy and not fresh tasting. Must have been leftover meat. I ate the noodles but left the beef. My senses warned me to. Overall grade B-
Food is really good, but the server is fairly inattentive, don't expect to be asked about refills or being seen quickly unless you sit at the bar.
Had soup and salad bar around noon, salad part was nice and fresh, however the chicken noodle soup was pretty thick, implying it had been on heater for a while. Tasted ok. Just a little thick
The quality of the food was satisfactory, although it fell slightly below the standard set by other establishments of similar cuisine. However, the most significant concern was the presence of Grace, the sole staff member on duty. While I empathize with her working alone, it may be time for her to consider retirement. During my two consecutive breakfast visits, she spent the entirety of her time lamenting about her superiors, colleagues, and clientele. This incessant complaining created an atmosphere of discomfort, which greatly impacted my dining experience.
Today my husband and I went to have dinner at Country Pride. The place was not busy, and although the service wasn’t the best, it was acceptable overall. The problem was that the waitress only came to our table about three times and never asked if we wanted more drinks. Before we were about to leave, my husband asked for a refill to go, and she had the nerve to tell him that he had to pay for the drink because she had already closed the check even though we were still sitting at the table and the receipt was still there, since she had not come back to pick it up so we could request the drink. It is not the server’s obligation, but it was in very poor taste.
My three star reviews comes down to portions for the price. Not nearly enough food for the cost. It was tasty, wait wasn't too long, service was acceptable. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent. The iced tea was not good at all however. I really don't know how you mess up iced tea.
Country Pride is a chain restaurant in the TA truck stop. We dined here on a Monday evening at 8p. We wanted a quick stop for food before getting back on the road. We ordered waters, chicken-fried steak with a baked potato and green beans, and smothered steer burger with tater tots and broccoli. At 8p, they put all their soups away, and they were out of French fries. The server was fast as we sat ourselves and ordered our water. Then it took her a few moments to come back and get our order, and then our food took (not kidding) 30 minutes to come out. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant so we don't get why it took so long- once again we thought it would be fast since it was a truck stop and wanted to get back on the road. Once we got our food, the smothered steer burger, with a description of "half-pound chopped steak, mushrooms, grilled onions and beef gravy" does not come with burger buns. It was in the steak and fish section, but called a burger so we were a little annoyed about that. It was okay, and was made "pink" as we asked. The tater tots were double fried and very tasty. The broccoli was a great portion of the plate which we appreciated. The chicken-fried steak is beef, deep fried with a fried chicken coating. It was okay, lets of "air" between the meat and the breading. The baked potato was very good, served with butter and sour cream. The green beans were crunchy just as I like them. Each dish is served with garlic bread (if you want to call it that). It was more like Texas Toast, and was kind of sweet. Not the normal garlic bread I would think. When the waitress had delivered our food, she also brought the check, which I was thankful for. However, I put my card down so she would come back to check on us, and take it so we could leave when we wanted to- but she never came back to check in on us. When we went up to her to pay, she said sorry that she was in the back doing the dishes. She then asked well did you like everything was everything okay? And we just wanted to get out of there so we said yes. I wouldn't come back to this location, or to be honest any of their other locations again. Check for two people: $37
The little diner had some meals that looked really good. So, I sat to enjoy an omelette. The food had a great taste & was quick, the worst part was that it was a tad pricey for portions given. The cook and waitress were very attentive. If I need to grab a meal quickly, I will stop again.
I will come here again. The price is decent and the food was wonderful. My only ONLY gripe is it took a while to get noticed at my table, then another small while for my server to get to me. The two women working were very sweet and polite, just very slow for how empty the place was. That being said it took all of 5 minutes for my burger to come out, and MAN did it hit the spot! The steakhouse burger is amazing. I got some brown gravy for my fries and oh boy. Cleaned the plate.
Chef salad sucked 15 bucks +tax and tip. Ripoff. I drink water but the drinks are 4 bucks.
I had to go find someone to wait on me after 15 minutes of sitting there waiting. Even after I got waited on I could not get any refills. silverware table and napkin was dirty. I will not stop again
We just ate here a couple hours ago for the first, and probably last time. Ordered the special chicken parmesan sandwich. The chicken was so thick and tough you couldn't eat it as a sandwich. It was even hard to chew when it was cut with a knife. I talked to the manager who said there is nothing he can do about it because that's how it comes. Then rudely asked what do you want me to do about it. Pretty sad representation for a business that deals with the public.
Unbelievable, how u changed your menu to $8.00 for homefries, eggs n toast. HIGHWAY ROBBERY AT ITS FINEST. Shame on you --sad trucker who r trying to make a living r being taken advantage by one of the best truck stops in the area. NO MORE COUNTRY PRIDE FOR ME. BAAAA HUM-BUG.
Parking lot was flooded. No where to park. Pizza hut is double the price. 3 bread sticks for $4.75? And you can't use your rewards points in the store. Ridiculous
Didn't cook my eggs good bad service
The food is terrible. The broccoli had brown spots and tasted spoiled. The rice pilaf was sticky white rice that was mostly bland. The salmon was of low quality and had several bones in it. There is a shopright grocery store and several food options on the other side of the interstate. It would be worth the money to Uber over there.
Ate here today 12-13-18. Went through three salad plates before I found a clean one. The chicken fried steak tasted like fish for some reason, and when the waitress brought my food out she never came back until she came to collect the money. Had to get up and go ask another waitress for more tea that was the only refill I got. Needless to say I always tip something but this waitress I had today didn't get anything except a tip telling her to take better care of her customer's.
Wilted salad, when I requested a new one I got eye rolls and another wilted salad. way way too much seasoning on the green beans, steak was pretty good. Service was only on request and wait.
Went to try to eat on Friday may 5th like around 5-6p.m the waitress mean face not friendly at all and the other old lady that seemed to be the cook even a meaner looking face but what can you expect it's a TA now I know why it was empty.
Just don't Do not go and eat You will get attitude from staff and a very very poor quality food
Ordered Fish and chips, before ordering asked the angry female manager how many pieces fish comes with it? She answered 4 pieces. After receiving the order, noticed there was only one half piece fish with fries came. 😠🤔. Figure out the rest.
horrible. waitresses yelling at people, zero attention, tables looked liked they wiped them with used mops.
First time today at country pride I just started working around the area and the waitress was nasty had an attitude. It was empty and they took 20 mins just to make eggs and bacon on my 1/2 and lunch
Just ate here never again cost my husband and 1 70 dollars and the food sucked!!!
I decided at about 10:50 pm that I was going to the restaurant and this is what happened...I went to order the special and I was told there closed but yet it says there open til 11pm and the lady says we’re closed I don’t get it if your not open til 11 then post an earlier time to close like for real thank you the employee that said they were closed was pat so if you ever going to go here remember this
Just close the doors already. I mean, truck stop foods have never been the greatest but, it gets us through the day. But when you add workers to the equation who clearly have personal issues that bleed through their attitude, you might as well close the doors. High prices and bad attitudes do not mix well. Get rid of the daytime cashier that's working today (Tammy) and your business might survive
The food was so bad we couldn’t eat it. Hash browns , ham, eggs tasted like they were cooked in rancid oil. They did comp our check but we had to leave it all. So gross.
Was trying to have some dinner and the waitress told me "honey we close in 5 minutes". Couldn't even be bothered to ask if I wanted something quick to go at least. Plus side the corndogs were fresh so I had something. Not a good way to treat a customer in my opinion
Ordered steak and eggs and chicken fried steak. Toast was black and burned, steak was over seasoned and just tasted pretty weird. Fried steak was almost cold. Overall not a good experience with the food but the staff was ok.
Beware if you get Rachael as a server. I ordered a club sandwich no mayo. She brings me a BLT no mayo and leaves. She comes back and asks if everything is ok. I tell her my sandwich is missing the ham, turkey, and third slice of bread. She says I ordered a BLT. We end up arguing about it before she takes the wrong order and places the new order. She returns with a club and says she took the BLT off the bill. I would hope so since I didn't order it. She leaves. That's when I notice the Mayo on the sandwich. I ask for a manager. No manager on site. I get another server to get my order right. The district manager's number is on the receipt so I call it. Busy for the past hour. Corporate isn't open till Monday.
Very disappointed in the service. I specifically requested that my toast be made last so it got to my table hot. The server insisted that it always is made last and not to worry. It came out cold and hard as a rock. She never came back to check if our food was good. After our meal was finished she finally came and asked how everything was. I told he the toast came out cold and if you came back to check I would have requested another. But now that I am finished I dont want to. Also we had a requested that the bill be separated when we placed the order so we can earn our meal rewards. She did not separate the bill or have a pen to add the numbers to the bill for the rewards. I don't think I am coming back here. I wasnt asking for alot. Oh and the food was very bland. I ordered the California omelette wish has checken seasoned with Arizona (hot sauce) sauce but I had to add salt and pepper just to eat it. I never add salt to my plates. The omelette looked mike a toddler cooked it.
The one lady work in erly day time! She have some problems she are rude Allways ! And the lady work evening time she lit bit old she the best and I live her good tip ! But the early day lady she did get nothing because how’s she talk to ppl ! Every time I one twice weeek she same all the time so !TA supervisor need change her to back wash dishes! Pzl
Another typical example of a post Covid restaurant mentality. They say they are open till 10pm but they will never be open then. When ever the wait staff feels like it they will switch the restaurant over to "to go" orders and close the retaurant. The wait staff would prefer to leave at 10pm for clarification on their hours. If you want to get a sit down meal expect to be there before 8:30 at the latest. Hope this helps.
The food was lovely the reason of why I put one star review is because the way I felt I was treated I waited a while with menu on hand to get ask if I need it something I don't know if is because am mexican but I wasn't treated the way the lady there were treating white people.
I usually use 2 credit at same time when getting meal she said I could use only 1 a day never heard this from other restaurants
Really good food. Terrible customer service. The cashier old woman was really rude with all the customers. It’s not normal have to ask the same thing 3 time. At first we ordered takeaway but we decided to eat there. She approached us to tell us that they had "dishes" so that next time we eat dinner in. If I pay for my food I can eat it on the floor if I want!! That's nobody's business In the middle of the hamburger I found in a hair. Their solution is to throw me an unarmed hamburger to "replace" the previous one.
Simply reading the reviews I would rather kms or starve to death than eat here thanks guys you saved me money and time, would be much better off eating the food I have in my truck
Don’t go. Waste of time. It was virtually dead. Placed a simple order. Waited an hour for food. After an hour the waitress tells us it will still be a few minutes and suggested that “since it has been so long she’d understood if we just left.” Cool thanks for nothing.
I bought the American Burger and fries. The burger was small, and even with all the condiments it came with, it just didn't taste good. The burger was so oily that the bun soaked up the oil and became such a mushy mess that I couldn't eat most of the bun. The fries were not crispy. Fries were soggy like they were sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. Sorry Country Pride, but for a $15 burger and fries, you need to be better quality than this. I missed Carl's Jr., Hardee's, Burger King, and Jack's burgers on this one. The service and atmosphere were good, but that's about all the good credit I can give here. I was disappointed with the food.
