I love this place! It's always been a nice & neat spot to stop. I feel like it should be more popular! I almost wish they would replace a couple menu items just to have some more updated options without giving away their consistency though. I've brought out-of-towners here & the north says it passes! Good food, BEST slaw.

My wife and I had a great meal. We loved the decor and Sylvia our waitress.. Best place around to have a great experience at a good price.. Plus you get all you can eat soup beans and homemade Hush puppies.. Yummy..

My wife and I didn't get a chance to eat here but the outside of the building is beautiful! The Spanish Moss in the trees and distressed facade game this building a great opportunity for pictures.

This place is a solid little resturant. My husband and i went here for the first time last night and we both truly enjoyed our dinner. Sweet young lady, Calie, was our server. We both had the ribeye steak, it was absolutely delicious. They come topped with pineapple slices, which is not my thing, but the flavor was great. I had a bakes potato and side salad and he chose the steamed veggies and cole slaw. their hush puppies are very enjoyable although the dipping sauce was too sweet for our taste. We will be going back.

Nice sweet little family restaurant. Decor interesting. Food was ok. Crab claws were fried great but they tasted old. Fried shrimp same. Steak kabobs were very good flavor but served cold. This is not a place to go for wine (very limited choice ) and steak. Staff very friendly, restaurant clean. Hush puppy’s good but cold. Best part of meal were the white beans hot and delicious served w the hush puppies.

I read the reviews on this place and decided to give it a try. The fried catfish and fried shrimp are fair. The steaks are tangy and overcooked. The cole slaw was awful. The salads weren't even mixed up. Nothing that we ate was memorable enough to classify as good. It may have been an off night. Maybe.

The food was excellent. We enjoyed every bit. BUT, our entire meal was ruined by our EXTREMELY chatty waitress. I would guess she came by our table at least 10 times just to ask questions and make comments about my fiance and I, not to actually serve us. After having to explain to her where we lived and who our parents were, she continued to tell us a gruesome story of a girl in our town being sent to the ER after an accident. We were in the middle of eating our meal and were disgusted by the story. She made several comments regarding me being older than my fiance, which is by 5 years. Not only did she call me a cougar countless times, but made references towards me being his Mother as well. It made both of us very uncomfortable and we wished she would just leave us alone to enjoy our meal. It didn't help that she was extremely loud where other customers could hear her comments. If we ever did want to eat here again, we would get our food to-go to avoid this disaster of a meal. We regretted going altogether because she made the experience so awful. If you are someone who wants to dine in peace, just hope you get one of the other waitresses, who all seemed very polite.

5/10/25 update: I hate to say this because we were so excited to be back after our first visit in December but now I have to say, forget this place! We sat and watched 4 tables that came in after us, get served their food, 1 of which ate their main course and left, and we still did not have our main course! Our server was horrible. We asked for fried mushrooms, and fried pickles came out, and then she proceeded to tell me that we ordered the pickles and not mushrooms! What happened to the customer is always right! We can't eat pickles and did not tell her this! She left the pickles on our table to go order the mushrooms. She then came back out and said that we would be charged for the pickles if we ate them. And of course we weren't going to eat them. So as she was leaving with them, the next table spoke up and said they didn't get their pickles. She proceeded to tell them that our pickles had not been touched, but how did she know this when she left to go order our mushrooms? She gave them the pickles from our table and she tells that gentleman that she must of made a mistake. But to me, I was wrong! We ended up getting our meal to go after sitting there for 1 hour 15 minutes and leaving at the same time as us was one of the tables that came in after us and here we are having to take ours home because we were so disgusted! We had also asked for more hush puppies that we NEVER received. Oh and there were no paper towels in the ladies restroom. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK! Dec 2024 Awesome restaurant, food was delicious, service was awesome even with a short staff, atmosphere was great. Absolutely, recommend trying this restaurant. Keep in mind that if you do not pay with cash that they do add a service charge to credit card transactions. We went for my birthday on Saturday evening and I was given a surprise, but I'm not gonna spoil it for you. And it just so happened to be one of my favorite items to eat! We will definitely eat here again.

Came to visit our son and he wanted to go to Mossy Grove. We went out there and what a disaster. They were not busy (it was a Thursday night), our waitress was new but sweet. We ordered 3 meals and a to go order. The bill came to the table totally wrong. Over charged for set up ( beans & hush puppies) we didnt ask for. Manager was so rude there is no wonder they csnt get help and dont have any business!! Ridiculous and will never go back again!!

If you're thinking of eating here...don't do it. I had a friend visiting from out of town and this is where we chose to have dinner. I ordered a steak and vegetables. The vegetables tasted like water and appeared to have come fresh from the microwave. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out medium well. I apologized and told our server that it was overdone. A few minutes later, a lady comes out of the kitchen and slammed the plate down, telling me that I was wrong and it was fine. Apparently she was the owner and from reading other reviews, this low class behavior is a common occurrence. It was a charming location though so hopefully someday it will go to someone with a little class and professionalism. Read the yelp reviews for many similar stories.

i have ordered several times in takeout. after last time i told my wife no. never again. but she convinced me to try again. i she called at 4:30. they open at 5. girl told her it would be ready at 5:20. i got there. waited and went in at 5:20. not ready. but yet diners were eating in dining room. just as last several times. apparently call in orders are not important. my order is pushed back. to me. my order should have been first on grill at 5. i told girl i would just wait to pay until it was ready and i would be in my truck and gave her my number. i was leaving at 5:30. then owner opened door and called for me. wow. 6 people were at register. then they argued with me. sorry. but to me. someone who they know my name. so there was no doubt i was going to pay. my order should have been on grill at opening. but besides that. since covid. and they reopened. food has sucked. shrimp and oysters has been over cooked and dry. not happy. service has went way way down. and apparently call in orders are not important. never. never ever will i be going back.
