Amazing fun. The first time Bingo Monday! Huge hit and recommend they continue it. The giant potato was unique and amazing flavor! Oh and fried cheesecake roll.. highly recommend.

Food was fantastic. It was Sunday and they had a special menu to choose from. Everyone was super nice but you could tell they were operating short staffed. That seems to be a common problem these days so don't hold that against them. The food was worth any delay. I had chicken tenders, sweet potato casserole, which was to die for good, turnips, green beans and cornbread. It was all perfect! I highly recommend The Twisted Turnip. Check their operating schedule before going as it does change. But...GO!

The food is beyond amazing and they have a very friendly atmosphere! We will absolutely be back for the twisted Mac and cheese.

Food was pretty good, even though mine wasn't hot. Didn't bring us what we ordered, had to take it back and let us know they didn't have one of the meals we ordered available. So I ended up getting one of the meals we had sent back, which was now cold. Waitresses were friendly but seemed like they had no idea what they were doing....not knowing menu and having no idea what tables food was supposed to go to. The meal that was fresh was pretty good, steak undercooked though. Mine would have been good if it was warm.

The owner was fabulous! Overall the food was good. The salad bar, raw and fried oysters were wonderful and the fries were out of this world! My Ribeye had a large tendon running down it, so some of it was not edible. That's out of the cooks control (without having to become a butcher and trim/inspect every steak). If it weren't for the steak. It would have been a 5 star

Southern food with unique twist. Traditional favorites done differently. The food is good. Fresh from scratch. The service is good. Personable and attentive. The owner even stopped by to chat. Family owned and operated. A 15 minute drive out of town is worth it. It's reasonably priced for the flavor and portion size. It's a laid back atmosphere. Nothing fancy or pretentious.

Service was horrible at beat. Only five tables were occupied for the majority of our time there. The waitress at our table had no clue what was as on the menu and then had to get a price once an item was confirmed available. Never checked on is after the food arrived and we had to have another waitress get s to-go boxes and process our check. Food was mediocre. Do not recommend.

We stopped in on a Sunday and the place was packed. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed in the quality of the food especially comparing it to another meat and 3 place that we had eaten at the previous Sunday..Given the name of the restaurant, you would think the turnips would have been amazing. They were the most bitter and completely unsalted, unfavored turnips I have ever eaten..The other sides were average at best. The fried chicken lacked any seasoning as well and had been cooked so long that it was very dry. Maybe the food on the regular menu is better but little to no effort to make the food taste decent on the Sunday meat and three.

We were in town for the Candy Land, and wanted to try something different while we were out this way. Unfortunately it was a bad decision. They're understaffed, and overwhelmed. I'd usually excuse that, but the food wasn't good either. When 3/4 of the menu is fried, you have to have good clean oil. Everything we got that was fried had that bad over used oil taste to it. The greens were almost inedible. They said they had a weird sweet flavor combined with the taste of battery acid. To top it all off they forgot to bring out 2 of the entrees. I let the server know that we didn't get the food, but we no longer wanted it, because everyone else was ready to go, she said okay. Then proceeded to bring out one of them, and said the other would be out in under a minute. We waited for 10 minutes, and the other one still hadn't come out. Again, nothing against the staff, they seemed nice, but nice only gets you so much.

Food was very good Service was in nice words horrible waited one and a half hours to find out they lost our order and had to take it again We were asking everyone that came by to check on it always told it was on the way and would be just a few more minutes Finally got food 2 hours later and the order was incomplete

Fries were cold when they arrived. Sorely disappointed in the rest of the food. I guess they were having an off night? From the berating other people have gotten after leaving a bad review, I was hesitant to leave one, but it's my opinion. We will not be back. Waitress was great.

This place was awful and dirty. We waited almost an hour for our food to come out. We were about to walk out, then 55 minutes after we ordered, our food finally arrived. All our food came out cold. My mashed potatoes, turnips, and cornbread were all cold. My daughter’s $9 kids meal consisted of 2 tiny chicken nuggets and a scoop of cold macaroni and cheese. It tasted like our food had been sitting out all day on a warming plate that had not been turned on. The table cloth on our table had old food stains on it- like it hadn’t been changed. And my husband said the men’s bathroom was disgusting. And to top it off- it was expensive! The prices did not reflect the quality of food, service, or atmosphere we paid for. We had family in town, and it was my birthday, so to say we were disappointed is a complete understatement. Do not waste your time or money here.
