The schedule was full and I went to the restaurant very late. Still warmly received our group of 6 people. At the end of the meal, we were the only guests left. The service staff still thoughtfully told us to enjoy our dinner slowly.
What a great find! The food was excellent, wines were good, service was great, and the interior is beautiful! I had steak and fries with a little salad and enjoyed every bit!
I asked for a Malbec, and the staff searched the wall racks of wine and poured us a French Malbec. I've never had a French Malbec, so it was nice to see and experience a variety. My companion is an exclusive meat and potato eater, so imagine my surprise when he ordered not 1 but 2 servings of the butternut squash ravioli! Honestly, the ravioli were so good. I ordered the vegetarian morrocan tagine. Both dishes were delicious but the ravioli...get the ravioli, ijs!
Great little place. Food was excellent and wine flights were good. Good service too. Would def recommend.
If you are looking for an elegant apres ski experience, Petra Wine bar is the place for you. We have been coming to Northstar for years, and yet this is the first time we added Petra to our dining repertoire. Boy were we delighted! Even though ski resorts often offer average experience for a high price, Petra’s service matches even the best fine dining experiences off mountain. The cocoa rubbed bavette steak was delicious. The salmon was sumptuous. The staff know their wines. We had the Seek Chardonnay which was mellow and smooth. We will definitely come back!!!

This is my favorite spot for dining in the village. The food is great, clean atmosphere, nice selection of wines, excellent service.
Enjoyed a delicious dinner here with my boyfriend! The service was fantastic, the wine and food were delicious and we hope to return! I had tomato soup and grilled cheese, we both enjoyed wine tasting flights and my bf had a wagyu burger! All very delicious! Many vegetarian options as well :)
We had the new year's eve dinner here and it was fantastic. Delicious appetizers, entrees, desserts, and wines. A little pricey but I think it was worth it.
This place is amazing! Our first night at NorthStar and we decided to pop in here for dinner. I’m so glad we did! We sat in a cozy spot with a view of the village and the wine. We got a bottle of the Hunt & Harvest Cab (big and juicy red) and started with the charcuterie. Next, we got the Butternut squash ravioli, broken meatball spaghetti and a classic grilled cheese with tomato soup. HOLY COW! Everything had unexpected flavors and it was incredible. Highly recommend stopping in here if you are around!
Food was awesome, some of the best I've ever had. The wine pairing was larg, great, and complemented the food to the very best. The Chef did wonderful making my pork, and my wife had the best grilled cheese that I got demoted from making them at home. The service was prompt and I was not in need. As Dan Cummins says "awesome, wouldn't change a thing. 3/5 stars," and I would not change a thing, go there ASAP and enjoy one of the best meals I've, no we, ever had.
let’s give these folks some credit. for the resort food place its absolutely good. burger was huge and yea its not wagyu meat but its not priced like one anyway. service for our 20+ group was fast and without any mistakes

Half the meals were fine. But the mussels? 7 of them were unopened - undercooked. The naan that came with it was hard (burnt? Stale?) pita triangles. No mussel fork, just the entree fork. Charcuterie tray was way overpriced and came without separate knives from our dinner knives. The server had no personality and never came back to offer us more wine or inquire why food was going uneaten. For $300 the meal was not worth it.
To start on a positive note, dishes are good and well presented. But it's way overpriced and waitress were not sure what the fish of the week was (there's only 5 main dishes in the menu). We've paid $11 for olives !
The food was good but expensive for what you get. Wine selection was good for the area. Atmosphere was probably the best part of the experience.

Underwhelming experience. I understand it’s a wine bar, but since they are serving food it better be decent. Burned Brussel Sprouts, one fourth of the mussels unopened/inedible… Mediterranean cuisine in progress, kitchen - work in progress, less than attentive service. Location is great though. Right in the middle of the Village
I don't mind spending $25-35 for an entree. If it's good. Out group had 2 out of the 3 entrees. They lacked flavor and we're uninspiring. The staff is not especially helpful on wine selections. Wine was on average 2.5 times retail prices...which is high for a restaurant. Maybe if price points were lower on the dishes the expectations wouldn't be as high.
The service was friendly and it’s a nice spot at the resort. The wine recommendation was on point, Matthews Columbia Valley Cabernet was solid. The food was mediocre at best. They forgot part of out order and it was delivered after we reminded her. The “chicken pot pie” was a sad soup without liquid. The Vegetarian Moroccan Tagine did not impress a vegetarian. Salt on the table typically offends chefs, bring your own if you want to eat here. The old people behind us were return customers, maybe people that travel the world are not the clients they are going for, idk?

We are a group of 10. When we walked in, the restaurant was practically empty with only 1 table dining. We were welcomed with: oh I’m not moving any tables today and this gentleman just sat down. Even the only patron that was dining looked very confused. This was their way of not welcoming us. I guess they don’t like big groups. Very bad service, very rude. You could’ve easily said you couldn't accommodate us and we would have been okay. Do better. We are happy to take our business elsewhere.
Can't really rate the food as we never got to try the restaurant. Two attempts to get a table on two different days were met with the most rude front of house witch. As others have commented she seems to turn ppl down without any good reason even when the restaurant is empty. Avoid this and eat elsewhere with better service.
We made a reservation for 10 people for new year eve. They told us it costs 90 dollars a person. We were served no bread minimal soup not enough to fill us up and then the meat was barely a half serving. We have been coming here for years and love the wait staff but find it unacceptable to pay this much for a quarter meal. My boys were so hungry that I had to take them to McDonald.
Terrible service. Ordered and waited 45 minutes. No explanation. The place was only 1/3 full. Finally were told cook had a problem. No apology, very rude. We paid the bar bill and left. Have never had this kind of experience anywhere.
