Opinions de The Burrito Window Kings Beach
This place is the GOLD standard for burritos(in my own opinion). I’ve been coming here since they were in that crusty old apartment building in Tahoe City. Flavorful every time. Will come again? Yes indeed. Is a South Lake Tahoe location in the works??
The burger toppings were creative and added great variety.
Their burritos are AMAZING!! I've tried many a burrito and this is by far one of the best I have ever had!! All the flavors balance perfectly and that pork is delicious...full of flavor!! Definitely a place you should try in Kings Beach!!!
The guys at Tahoe Dave's in Kings Beach recommended them and they were spot on! I got the salad and added chicken. Excellent taste! Fresh rotisserie chicken, fresh mango, jicama, black beans, cheese, salsa...so good! And huge portions! Quick service too. Highly recommend. #supportlocal #supportsmallbusinessrestaurants
Great location right across from the beach. Authentic flavor. Ordered the kid's burrito, and was full just off that. Fantastic customer service. Small, but comfortable patio seating. 5+ stars.
I drive almost weekly from Reno to Kings Beach to let my puppies swim in Tahoe, and eat amazing chicken burritos at the The Burrito Window. They are awesome and highly recommend stopping by if you're on the north side of the Lake.
It started out of a window, then became Lake Tahoe’s premiere burrito location. Originally a side-gig for D’lish, a high end catering operation, the straightforward menu is a gourmet rendition of Mexican classics.
Hands down, best burrito I’ve ever had. I’d eat here everyday if I could afford it. This is my favorite restaurant in North Lake. I just wish they were open later then 4:00.
Epic Burritos and super quick and convenient.
Probably the best burrito I've ever had. We stumbled across this place while at Kings Beach. Highly recommend!
Best Burrito! Fair prices. Wish it stayed open past 3pm. Busy expect me a wait or call you order in. Love this place!
I love flavorful and well spiced burritos, but Tahoe food is often bland, therefore I love that The Burrito Window's burritos are packed with delicious flavors!
Wow! One of the best burritos I've ever had! The meat is cooked perfectly and the staff was so nice! Went twice in one day
The best burrito and chips i have ever tried. Place is cozy and you want to come back there again and again. Will definitely recommend my friends
Five Stars! Flawless! Greater Than Great! Giving this place five stars just because of Lucifer, hope I can go here one day
Huge burrito portions. Our group wasn’t hungry so we shared one burrito between two people and it was just enough. The carne asada was great, can’t recommend it enough! It’s also properly wrapped so there’s no sauces / pieces of food trickling down your hand; convenient to have on-the-go too, we brought it to our lake side cabin and it made for a satisfying and quick lunch.
In a town full of Mexican food, the burrito window stands out. It is a breath of fresh air to have crisp salads and healthy options available in an order at the counter environment. We often stop by for lunch and it is always busy and always delicious! Bonus that you can get to the beach in about 3 minutes.
THIS PLACE IS A MUST GO! Burrito Window is an amazing place to go!!!! AMAZING FOOD!!! Such FRIENDLY service! The place is clean and cool vibes! The chicken and pork are cooked to perfection!!! Everyone who passes thru should DEFINITELY stop in for a burrito! The owner even remembered us each time we went in and also saw us in the town over and greeted us friendly there too!
Super fast delicious 🤤 burritos 🌯 here. I got the chicken 🐔 burrito and it was amazing. And the service was friendly, highly recommend 👍 and will be back 🙏😎
Best burrito in Tahoe. Hands Down. Service is super friendly, welcoming atmosphere and really convenient for quick grab and go! Thank you!
Right in the heart of Kings Beach - this place is perfect for a quick lunch. Great food, big burritos, just as good in a bowl -- highly recommend if you need lunch and can find parking.
Delicious, fresh burrito! They were friendly, fast, and have a great menu for fair prices. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Burritos were large as pictured, very filling
Great burrito and fantastic place to eat it just across the street.
Didn’t expect it to be this good! They must be sincere towards food. Go for the Chicken

This unassuming place surprised us greatly with simple but authentic Mexican food that was packed with flavor. I had the pork bowl, my wife had carne asada tacos, and we also got a side of guacamole and chips. Very impressive, and the prices were quite good compared to what we see in Portland.
We will definitely be back here! Parking in the state park lot across the street was easy ($10 if you don’t have a state park pass) and then you get to enjoy Kings Beach! Our service was great and the burritos were heavy, jam packed full of goodness. These burritos were DELICIOUS and unique, nothing like what I normally get at burrito shops. I actually called my mom about it. So good! I can’t wait to go back!
Fantastic Burritos really good value as well, Chicken perfectly cooked, extremely flavourful beans and rice. There was a delicious hint of smokiness as well. My wife had the Vegetable burrito which had freshly roasted red bell pepper and a delicious slaw. Will eat here next time I'm at the lake!
Best Burritos in Town – A Hidden Gem! The Burrito Window is an absolute gem! Quick, delicious, and always satisfying — this place never disappoints. The ingredients are super fresh, the portions are generous, and the flavors are out of this world. Whether you’re grabbing a classic burrito or trying one of their creative specials, every bite is packed with flavor. The service is fast and friendly, perfect for a lunch break or a late-night craving. I love how convenient it is — just walk up, order, and enjoy! It’s become one of my go-to spots, and I always bring friends here when they’re in town. If you haven’t tried The Burrito Window yet, you’re seriously missing out.
Quick service and large portions. I got the pork Tacos and was surprisingly full off the two tacos. Great spot for a quick satisfying meal around 14 bucks for the combos
Been working in North Tahoe for quite some time now serving as a utility technician and food spots are typically limited in the area. Whether it may be authentic Mexican or not, this is hands down the best place in the area for burritos. I’ve had Ts in Incline and the authentic Mexican restaurant behind Taco Bell, and in all honesty, this place has them beat. It’s never too busy in there, but when it is, they’re consistent with customer service. Parking is definitely a challenge but I think it’s worth the walk if you park a ways away. Will continue to be a regular customer!

Mexican fare (tacos, burritos etc) including a kids menu in a modern, clean space. Fast, efficient service. We liked the chopped salad. Very happy to see that the plastic cups are made from recycled material. Conveniently located across the road from Kings Beach. Would come again.
Ordered lunch after a hike for the family and everyone enjoyed it! The chicken had great flavor and the mix of pinto and black beans was a nice change from just one or the other. Will be back to try more of their options.
Tasty burritos and quick service. Kids portions were perfect for them and the pork was super tasty.
Excellent carnitas, rice, and beans in a soft, warm flour tortilla. This is the ma' n pa of authentic Chipotle-style quality Mexican burritos. Minus one star for no extra salsa and not nearly enough napkins for such a massive, mouth-watering burrito.
Super yummy burrito. But the chicken was a bit dry. Very reasonably priced, nice staff. Will definitely be back to try the tacos!
Very tasty and filling burritos! Service was good, food tasted fresh and was made quickly. A great place to eat in the area!

Not too bad, but I don't care for black beans and no refried beans to be had. Their hot sauce has a bit to much vinegar for me. Nevertheless it's a hefty serving and tasty. I'd recommend it
The vegetarian options were limited. Rice and Beans had a smokey flavor which some folks might like but not us. The chips and salsa was good. Guac was a bit bland.
Friendly staff. Fast service. Great spot close to the beach. But, for something with so many ingredients, the food was lacking in flavor.
Ordered shrimp taco, veggie taco and quesadillas. Shrimp was decent(3/5), everything else is bad.

Friendly staff, clean shop, parking is difficult. High prices, small portions. $13.25 + tax for a medium-sized burrito. (A little high). Taco was american size for $4.00 each-A la carte (reasonable price), larger than street taco.
I’ve been coming to burrito window since they opened in Tahoe city in the 2010s, and it’s always been a favorite of mine and other Tahoe friends. However, I’m writing this as I (along with some local friends) think the quality & consistency of their food has decreased the last few years. Recent burritos have been rice heavy, dry, and the flavoring of the rice often overpowers the burrito. Additionally, they used to be known for loading burritos with guacamole when you added it (back when quac was $1.50 to $2.50). Now quac is about $4, and barely any is added to their burritos. I hope the owners read this and try to do better! I will happily come back to edit this review if food quality increases in the future

Nothing special. Salsa doesn't have a lot of heat, the carne asada wasn't particularly seasoned, and the burrito was rolled in a way where one side was all rice with the rest of the ingredients on the other side (instead of being mixed together). Also, ordered the burrito with guacamole, got charged for it, confirmed with the guy giving me the burrito that guacamole was on it, and didn't get guacamole. So service also leaves a bit to be desired.
Burritos (carne asada) were meh, we don't understand what's special about it. Service was worse, lady gave me flak for trying to customize burritos telling me I can't make up my own burritos. Better off going to taco bell next door.
In a town full of Mexican tacquerias this is not the best. Tex mex style with bad beans and under cooked rice. Just feels like the least quality of products and chef the doesn’t know the ingredients to put flavor into the dishes. Never do my kids not finish a burrito and both didn’t this time. Went to Taco Bell after to get them full.
Sad burrito, got the carne asada burrito. It tasted like it was seasoned with a basic Mexican seasoning packet. The meat texture was more like ground beef than steak. Can't say I recommend this place.

Tried to go there for the first time today. Woke up right at 5pm since I work graveyard, check google to see when they close...... 6pm sweet!!!! Nope!!! They must've closed well before 5. I probably won't try to eat there again. I absolutely cannot stand businesses that run on "Tahoe time". I'll just go to one of the 3 other Mexican food places that within less than half a mile of this place.
This was the worst burrito I ever had! Small in size, greasy and taste less, was the carne asada one I tried. My husband tried the pork it was greasy and average. Taco Bell has better food.
The burritos were terrible. Our rice was crunchy (undercooked?) and the flavors were not good. There was mostly rice in my burrito, very little beans. And the tortilla was barely toasted and felt stale as it was cracked all over from being folded. I think it's the worst burrito I've ever had. Also, this is not really a place to sit and linger. It's grab and go even though there are some tables inside.
Food came out quick, but the rice in all 4 burritos we ordered was uncooked, to the point where it was really hard to even chew it. The spiciness level seemed irrelevant, since the spicy version was just as mild as the mild version. The patio at the back is nice.
