The salcera made delicious salsa and guacamole! Service was excellent. They were very friendly and efficient. You could see the manager going from table to table asking if everything was good and if they needed anything. Great service!!

One of the best Mexican cuisine restaurants in Tucson. Despite big seating , there is always a waiting at the restaurant. Portions are big, delicious and filling. Service is delayed when there are parties going on and tables full. Our server gave extra bowl of chips when order was taking time. House Margarita was good and a must try.

Jose was our server and he was AWESOME. We are out of town and he gave us some recommendations after asking a few questions and the food he recommended was excellent! The salsa bar is amazing - the lady who mixed ours was very funny and the atmosphere (sat outside) was great.

What an amazing place! Manager Erick does an incredible job of the entire place. Staff is fantastic and the food is wonderful! Fresh Tortillas made in house and a salsa cart with hat comes directly to your table and makes the best salsa to order… wow. Everything we had was top rate and a super experience. If in Tuscon make this a must go!

I got the Fiesta Camarones, and it was phenomenal. The fresh tortilla strips were almost linguine like, and the sauce was incredible. The table side salsa is not overly spicy, but has a little pepper to it. It was delicious.

Our waiter Hosue was very attentive, kind, made sure that our drinks were filled and professional. The table side salsa and guacamole did not disappoint and the atmosphere was top notch!

Love the atmosphere and food here. The salsa prepared table side is yummy. The margaritas are great.

M-O-O-N spells the "THE BEST SALSA ANYWHERE." Yes, the food is excellent! Yes, the service is excellent! and YES the atmosphere is great, however we keep going back for the fresh salsa, made tableside! Actually, we've never finished a meal at the restaurant. We get full on the chips, salsa and guacamole (also excellent and made tableside.) The margaritas are large, tasty and pack a punch so don't be afraid to split one with your partner.

Visited this spot while on vacation with my wife. Our family that resides in Tucson brought here because they come all the time. I love the entire look of the place. Gives a very authentic feeling. We had freshly made salsa and guacamole that was made tableside. We had the opportunity to have it made with the spice level of our choice. Our waiter Hermando ( I think that was his name) was amazing and so very funny (He was sarcastic and we enjoyed all of it). My wife and I ordered paella and our other family mens ordered other items such as mini chimis. Only thing is, i wish I told them no cilantro (I dislike it and it made my meal and salsa not as enjoyable). However, the flavor of the food was tasty. No complaints. All good came out nice and hot. We all ordered drinks. They had the Diablo and I had the drink found under that one on the menu. Honestly, it needed me alcohol for both drinks. They tasted like juice. We weren't pleased with them. Overall, the experience was nice and comforting. Also, thank you Manny for stopping by our table to ensure we were happy customers 😀. I love that little touch of professionalism as a manager or owner (I'm sorry I forgot which role is your's).

I'm one word - excellent. I haven't been there for a long time and we wanted Mexican food close to midtown. We got there at 7pm on a Wednesday, the place was pretty busy and we were seated right away. The waiter took our drink order within minutes and then we had table side salsa, which might have been the best salsa I've ever had. Fresh and delicious. Beers and margaritas were ice cold and tasty, and the food was spot on. We had the poblano sea bass, carne asada steak, and combinations of tacos, Chile relleno and tamale. Everyone loved their food, everything was cooked to perfection and it was just a lovely evening. Again, the service was spot on and professional. Highly recommend!

A slice of unique Tucson, with hands-down, the best homemade salsa we’ve ever had, and mole was out of this world.

This is an old style Mexican food restaurant. All of the food is made the old way. Just like you would find in mommas kitchen. The price is reasonable and the taste is better than any modern cafe. The shredded beef is very soft and flavorful. There are no deep fried tacos or canned sauce on the enchiladas.

They make the salsa fresh just for your table. It was awesome. I got the small combo with two enchiladas. They were very good. The service was excellent. The price was reasonable.

The restaurant is beautiful & very well maintained, inside & out. Very neat way to bring Guadalajara to AZ. All staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, everything we ordered was tasty.

since about 2 yrs ago when we stoped going there due to several bad service experiences( food has always been excellent ) decided to give it another try , was totally surprised about all the new friendly personal what a great team they have now they really know how to make you feel a home. Great job !!!! Despues de 2 años de no volver ahí debido a unas malas experiencias con el servicio ( la comida siempre a sido excelente)fuimos nuevamente y para mi sorpresa nos encontramos con una atención extraordinaria. We got seated inside and asked to be moved outdoors because of the AC. The staff was very accommodating. My favorite part of the meal was the salsa! Honestly one of the best salsas I’ve had in a long time. Garlicky, though, so be warned! I shared the seafood plate for the meal which had scallops, shrimp, and salmon. The salmon was just ok, but the shrimp and veggies were very nice. Service was good and the patio was lovely on a warm evening!

Quite enjoyed my experience at Guadalajara. After ordering the salsa and scarfing it down, as it was absolutely delicious, I was unpleasantly surprised there was a charge for additional salsa. However, I paid the fee and ordered another round. The chicken fajitas were good; not as flavorful as I'd expected, but the chicken was cooked well and there were lots of vegetables! I'd never had tortillas cooked lightly before-- I had only had them cooked through, but they were just fine. The waitresses were attentive and helpful. Great place to stop in for a lunch! If you're in the area and want to spread your wings, give it a try! You'll be glad you did! 😋

Food was excellent. Fresh made salsa is delicious. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Service was very slow. It appears they don't have enough staff. The restaurant was very loud.

Realmente delicioso mi plato vegano ordené el portobello fiesta, el guacamole super cremoso, tan fresco que lo preparan frente a ti igual que la salsa, también mi Jamaica estaba tan rica que repetí y mis hijos comieron perfecto frijol con arroz porque no estaba salado ni con nada extra asi que les recomiento el plato de taquito para los niños, el ambiente y la atención super chévere, tienen que probar el Chile Nogada si les gusta el contraste de sabores entre dulce y salado porque es exquisito, la comoda estaba deliciosa de verdad fue una buena elección para nuestra última noche en Tucson!

This was our third visit in three months. We have observed a steady decline from an excellent first experience to an average second trip, followed by this below average third visit. With a high density of Mexican dining options in the immediate area, we have decided to move on and explore other establishments that can provide more consistent quality and service. Our party of five arrived on a Thursday evening at 7 PM. The parking lot was dark and at capacity, making it difficult to find a spot. Upon entering, we were greeted promptly and informed of a thirty minute wait, which we spent in the seating area. The restaurant maintains a traditional aesthetic with familiar colors and decor. A mariachi band performed in the bar area. The volume was well managed, allowing us to enjoy the music while still holding a conversation at our table. The room was busy, as one might expect for a peak weeknight hour. The menu covers the standard range of Mexican dishes and combinations. Staff mentioned that the kitchen is willing to prepare items not explicitly listed, which is a nice touch for customization. While the tacos, enchiladas, and burritos were portioned well and looked appetizing, the execution fell short on temperature. All five entrees arrived only slightly warm. Because the food was not served hot, it became cold quickly. Three members of our group left more than half of their meals unfinished. No doggie bags either. Service was the primary drawback of this visit. Our waiter was slow to greet the table, and the initial drink order arrived both incomplete and incorrect. After the food was delivered, the waiter effectively abandoned the table. We were never offered a second round of drinks or water refills. There was no opportunity to address the food temperature because no one returned to check on us. The gratuity was reduced to reflect the lack of table maintenance and the cold meal.

Came in a few days ago with my Fiancé. (Mixed race couple- blk/white). Was seated in a area all by ourselves towards the back of the restaurant, even tho the restaurant was not even remotely full, was given some salsa from the back room, and our waiter looked like he could be doing something else better with his time. Ordered fajitas, chicken/carnitas, received 4 strips of chicken and a small “handful” of pork. Took him 5 minutes to bring out the tortillas. He ordered an appetizer as a meal and his plate came out full and over stuffed with items. After about 40 minutes they finally started to fill up for the dinner rush and sat people around us, behind us was a table of 3 couples, (I’m the only POC customer in the room at this time) every table was served fresh made, MADE AT THE TABLE salsa. EVERY TABLE! They wasn’t just flung salsa from the back room like we was. The waiter took his precious time checking in on them and being super friendly when he spoke to them. He barely checked on us, and had a sour face each time even tho we met him with smiles no matter what. We still tipped 20+% and left. Was told the next day to try the Guadalajara Mexican grills instead of the “original grills”… they seem to be the same but the people that told us was POC as well so I’m going to take their advice. I know they won’t care, as we are just one of many who visited them that day.

BE CARFUL! It’s been twice already that they overcharge (steal) tips on my card! This last time was waitress JORDANA !but this time I did keep my receipt as proof because I already had a bad experience in this restaurant !! It super upsetting to have to ask to speak with the manager so they can take action on this matter and get my money back. I am a waitress too and I would never never do this to a customer because this is stealing and it's against policies !!! CUIDADO! Ya van dos veces que cargan propina de más a mi tarjeta!(en pocas palabras lo roban) Está última vez fue la mesera JORDANA! Lo bueno que esta vez si guarde mi recibo para comprobar porque ya había tenido la mala experiencia en este restaurante! Es super desagradable tener que estar hablando con el manager para que me devuelvan MI DINERO! Yo también soy mesera y jamás le robaria dinero a un cliente!

Es un lugar pésimo. Fuimos a pasar un dia agradable con familia que teniamos mucho tiempo sin mirarnos, pero nos dieron tiempo limite para comer, practicamente nos presionaron quitandonos casi el plato sin terminar de comer aun. Los precios están muy elevados para el servicio y sazón que hay. Pero en ningún restaurante hacen eso de darte una hora para comer. Desde que te sientas corre el tiempo independientemente de cuanto se tarden preparando. Jamas lo recomendaría. Y cuando sepa que algún amigo o familiar piensa acudir ahí, le evitare.
