First time staying here and we loved it! Beautiful, quiet hotel with amazing flavored water in the lobby every day. The restaurants were great — had lunch at The Signature Grill and our waitress was awesome. Our newer room felt super high-end and had a really nice enclosed balcony with two chairs and a table — it felt private and comfortable. The pool and lazy river were perfect for relaxing, and the gym was great too. We also hiked one of the trails across from the resort — absolutely beautiful! Overall, an awesome stay

For my bday, I had the pleasure of getting a fantastic massage from Brooke and a deep cleaning facial from Adriana. Both of them, along with the rest of the spa staff are some of the kindest, most personable people I've ever met. I highly recommend both of them and to visit! I'll be back in the future for more services!

Clean lobby and well-organized valet area. Front desk staff were polite and efficient when I was inside. Pickup zone is clearly marked, which makes it easy for guests coming and going. Had no issues coordinating transportation using a local service like Tucson Rideshare. Would recommend for convenience and location.

Although my stay at the Marriott began with some challenges, the exceptional professionalism and dedication demonstrated by Joe, Renee, and Adalberto completely transformed my experience. Their attentiveness, problem-solving abilities, and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction were truly commendable. Each interaction reflected a high standard of service and care that exceeded expectations. Thanks to their efforts, what could have been a disappointing stay became an outstanding and memorable one. Their exemplary customer service is a credit to the Marriott brand, and I would not hesitate to return.

The rooms aren't anything special, but the location and atmosphere was great. On our trip, the lazy river part was closed and we were not notified before the trip. That sucked considering our kids were looking forward to it. To their benefit, we complain and were given a night off of our total cost. They were good about it. I loved the afternoon shot - delicious and the food in all was very good.

Stayed 3 nights in mid October 2025 and enjoyed the incredible setting, natural beauty, service and "one-stop-shop" convenience of the JW Marriott Starrpass. In 3 nights / 3.5 days we did multiple hikes just minutes from the lobby, played golf, used the gym/spa, lazy river, pools, hot tubs, and ate at 4 of the restaurants (Creosote - new golf course restaurant, Signature Grill, Plunge, and the Lobby/Veranda restaurant (spectacular views). All of them were excellent, service was great, and prices were reasonable. The way the resort is oriented within the Sonoran Desert means you have an incredible view from almost anywhere. We will definitely be back. One final point is that there impressive and extensive remodel going on for the rest of 2025 doesn't impede the current experience for guests.

I’ve stayed here several times and never left a review. I would say I agree with everyone this is top 5 hotels in tucson, probably top 3. I was lucky enough to stay this time in one of the freshly renovated rooms. Amazing. So much better. Great new modern look top to bottom. Nicely done.

Beautiful hotel and nice location with beautiful views at night of Tucsons city lights. We made reservations for the Thanksgiving buffet. Beautiful presentation and nice variety of meats ,salads, raw bar, taco bar, deserts . Wonderful service . Lovely festive dining room for the holiday.

Beautiful location, really nice inside, rooms are very modern. There are lots of walking trails and a great pool onsite. It's just a really nice property.

Great JW Marriott. There good restaurants, amazing service in every single area and stunning views. A beautiful resort that us also family friendly. At Christmas the decorations and activities are super neat.

Excellent place to stay. Clean. Do be prepared to spend some $$ if you are going to eat at their restaurants. It was busy and there was a convention going on that made it a bit noisy.

Un hotel bellísimo con vistas espectaculares del desierto, en una zona muy tranquila, los cuartos son muy amplios y agradables, el servicio muy bueno y el restaurant dentro del hotel sirve comida exquisita.

La ubicación queda un poquito lejos pero está en un hermoso lugar. La piscina está súper bonita y queda muy cerca del Parque Nacional. El servicio es muy amable y ayudante y los cuartos está muy limpias y cómodas.

Muy bonito lugar, muy grande y muy buena comida.

This review is strictly about the pool/day rental of a cabana for locals. We used Resort Pass to book a 5 person Cabana at the pool here and had a blast. 3 adults, 2 kids and all about the water! We arrived around 10:15 and our Cabana was all set up with water, towels, etc. The fruit platter/chips and salsa were brought later - my guess is when the cafe opens as we did not get ours until after 11A. We quickly figured out that we were going to really enjoy our time here as the pool was NOT busy at all -- mid week, in the middle of summer after kids back in school is the key if you are looking to avoid crowds. Our Cabana was situation in a great area outside of regular foot traffic. We spent a lot of time in the big pool, but also in the lazy river/water slide area. Had an all around fun time and it was a great way to spend 4 hours with our out of town family that was visiting. Shelby was our attendant and was super sweet and attentive! Only negatives were the sunscreen in the cabana was not pumping out and it got very messy getting to the sun screen. Also if you are not a guest of the hotel, you are reliant on staff letting you into the pool area if you need to use the restroom (totally understandable).

We got a non-renovated room and it was old and dingy. Had to buy our own room spray. The parking lot wasn’t too bad to walk to, even though we were at the complete opposite side.

First time at this location. I was here for a work conference. The room that I was assigned. It was a renovated room. The pipes rattled when you used the toilet. The sheets seemed a little too small for the bed. As I’ve never had a bed become so messy during my nightly sleep. But the worst experience was the fire alarm that went off at 11:30 P.M. and no coordination. No information and lasted for 45 minutes before it was turned off and we could return to our rooms. The next night I had a hard time sleeping with the anxiety of the fire alarm. No notice. No letter from management and just very poor service.
