Sooo yummy! I get a crave for fish and chips and this is the place! I do also love their cheese curds and beer selection. We got the whiskey burger and the flavor was delicious, it had a bbq sauce on it that we really enjoyed. We sat outside and had a pleasant experience with great service. The seating options are good for keeping everyone spaced apart and the menu does a have variety of items I’ve not tried, so I imagine a lot of it is also tasty! This is one of the few places I actually sip a beer and have a conversation for a moment.
What can I say about McNellie’s. Absolutely great food …and drink. We moved from Tulsa 6 years ago and this is our first visit back. We were regulars here when we lived here. I had the Cajun meatloaf with mash potatoes and veggies. Super good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend for a delightful lunch or dinner. AAAAA+++
Really a solid experience. Went with a group of 7 very different people. Totally different tastes. No one ordered the same thing and I wanted to try every dish and every drink. My specific drink was so good. Sneaky strong and it had half a pine tree in it and didn't seem overdone (Yule Mule)
Came to town for our world show premier Legend Hunterz & decided to stop in for dinner. We had the patty melt & Oktoberfest special which consisted of turkey on rye bread with bratwurst! Both were delicious with great portions & reasonably priced. Service was great & the venue was fantastic!
I’ve been to McNeile’s several times over the last few years for different get-togethers, but last night we finally decided to sit down for dinner — and wow, the food was surprisingly good! Service was great, everyone was in a happy holiday mood, and the whole place was filled with lights and Christmas décor. It honestly feels like a bar straight out of a movie. The atmosphere here is always incredible — fun, energetic, and welcoming. Upstairs they have a great area for games and private parties, which is usually where our group hangs out. It’s perfect for gatherings and has become our go-to spot over the years. Huge shoutout to the bartender who always takes care of our group. They’ve assigned him to us for the last couple of years, and he’s fantastic — super attentive, keeps the food and drinks coming, and somehow manages it all smoothly even when he’s the only one working the room. It never feels chaotic; he just makes everything run perfectly. Overall, McNeile’s is a great place to eat, drink, celebrate, and enjoy the holiday season. We always have a good time here!
This place was amazing. Service was great and the food was delicious! BEST artichoke dip I have ever had. And that carrot cake....STOP IT....UHMAZING!
I am always treated like family here. The bar and wait staff are just the best. I love the selection of beers on tap, so many! And they rotate them monthly which is awesome. The food is pretty good. Potato leek soup = heaven in a bowl. I wish their menu rotated as often as their beers do; it would be nice to have more variety as I end up here at least once a week. Sad they removed the Beyond Brats platter, I ordered that often. Pint Night on Mondays is awesome; take home a free pint glass if you order the beer of the day. Burger night on Wednesdays is a good time. Be sure to specify at least medium on your burger or you’re gonna get it well done, and even then, it’s often more done than I care for, but they load it up with all the fixings and it’s a great deal. The patio is amazing, and their St Pattys Day block parties can’t be beat. Love this place!
This time we sat outside and the atmosphere was so serene. The service was superb! The food was glorious, my favorite part were the green beans and the artichoke dip! We ordered steak and fries tonight and it was cooked to perfection. We were both happy with our dinners. She kept our drinks full, checked on us timely, and was sweet with conversation. I really really enjoyed it. I do admit my favorite meal I've had there so far is the cottage pie. But this is definitely a place I love to come to! Thank yall!
This place is unbelievable. Beers from all over the world!! Name a beer and they bring you something that will be similar for your pallet. The food is on point. Service is impeccable. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!
Continuing to visit as many downtown Tulsa restaurants as I can to narrow down my regular destinations. This one will likely make the list after 2 visits. First visit, I had a cheeseburger and fries and sat indoors. It was prepared as expected and tasted great. Second visit was for lunch so I sat outdoors and had the cobb salad. It was huge and also tasted great. I think on my next visit I'll have the chili burger and then will probably have fish and chips before I fully commit to this restaurant as a regular destination but so far I'm pretty satisfied with the menu. EDIT: I’m here weekly now. Big fan of their patio and their burger. Fish and chips are great, as well as the wraps. Really, everything I’ve had so far has been top notch and the service is always friendly and efficient. Also, they’re usually the only place open on snow days.
This place is a nice fun Irish pub vibe with a cool bar, out door seating, and TVs with the game. Food was good, didn't get the toasted topping which is why I only gave 4 starts. The fired pickle chips were delicious 😋
After checking in to our hotel downtown we thought we'd find a place within walking distance. McNellie's Irish Public House appeared to be just what we had in mind. Upon entering it has that feel of a 'grande' establishment with a colorful 'history'. We ordered the cheese curds, Cobb Salad, soup and side salad. Absolutely delicious! The Cobb was dense and full of surprises. And the cheese curds were as tasty as those we've tried in Wisconsin 👍 Service was also top notch! We'll be back Tulsa 😍
Nice atmosphere and good food. The artichoke dip with pita bread was awesome. I had the patty melt with shoe string sweet potato fries. I liked that they gave an option on the meat paddy. I chose medium. I would have liked the bread more toasted. Other than that all great👍
Local pub in downtown Tulsa with great food, service and a full bar. This is a great spot for large groups and is kid-friendly. This location also has a great patio! Check monthly for rotating beer selections and a dinner special. Lunch and happy hour options also available.
Was looking for an Irish Pub and came across McNellies because it is in the Arts District / Blue Dome District, which when we come to Tulsa, we like to stay at the Fairfield because it is walking distance to a ton of cool restaurants and bars. This is a really nice, traditional Irish Pub with an outstanding beer menu, and Ashley knows how to pour a nice Black and Tan. Menu is very nice too. The Pub is part of McNellies group of restaurants that have a rewards program, something we just learned about after spending a ton of money at the Bull in the Alley and Tavern restaurants in our last 2 years being new to the area. If you plan on being in the area, don't miss out on the opportunity to check out these other restaurants. We would be "champagne" level if we had known about it.
I haven't been to a McNellie's I didn't like. Service and food here at the Tulsa location were great. My wife and I shared a burger and enjoyed some pints of Guinness. They poor a proper stout. If you have never been to Ireland, tjis is a pretty close step in the pub direction. Love their food and atmosphere at McNellie's.
Kaylie was PHENOMENAL!! It was our first time coming in and enjoyed our time immensely!! All because of Kaylie. She was patient. She was informative with the many questions that we asked. Always with a smile on her face. I would definitely ask for her when you visit. Absolutely worth trying to find a parking spot and how to pay for said spot. That was confusing. The food is amazing and the service was exceptional!! If I'm back in the area, this place will be first on my list!! Check it out!! I don't believe you'll regret it!! I didn't!
Everything was great, the food the service. The manager Beth was wonderful, she came over and made sure we were happy with everything. Definitely going back.
If you’re lucky enough to be Irish….You’re lucky enough! Saturday evening I was the lucky girl to stumble upon this restaurant. The drink menu is extensive and impressive. My party started on the first floor and ended the night on the second floor. From drinks to food to service everything was superb! Place was packed and rightly so, good times had by all.
The selection of beer is absolutely fantastic! Delicious food, friendly staff, great music and atmosphere! Has outside and inside seating area.
I had a great time here. Went with some friends on a Sunday and had dinner and drinks. Could not have been better. I liked the steak and make potatoes. It's a real makes potato too, not those fake ones. I'll definitely come back here. It's also a Tulsa icon too so it's worth checking out
We always love McNellie's! Even on a super busy Saturday night, the food was fresh, hot, and came out faster than we expected. Our drinks were never empty and our server was fantastic! Also loved their holiday festivity! Cute windows out front and the patio area was decked out in lights.
First time here. Loved the huge selection of beers. Me and my buddy got flights and samples a bunch. Then we have a few more. I got the fish and chips and it was pretty good. Liked this place a lot.
Dropped in for a very late dinner/snack on a Tuesday of a holiday week. They were busy, but the staff was very friendly and fast to take orders and deliver drinks and food. I had an amazing garlic humus served with veggies and fresh pita, husband had the pulled pork nachos appetizer. It was HUGE and delicious. Very nice atmosphere.
Two great visits while exploring Tulsa. Impressive beer list. Tons of house-made items on the menu. Burgers were real good. Cottage pie was even better. Chicken fingers were impressive. Service could not have been better.
I had the Cottage pie. It was delicious. The green beans were perfectly cooked. It has roast and peas with mashed potatoes sprinkled with cheese and baked.
Spent a beautiful evening on the dog friendly patio with family. We enjoyed the Mediterranean Plate with grilled chicken, French Dip sandwich, Southwest Chicken, & Chili Bacon Cheeseburger and all were served warm, seasoned well, & delicious. Fun place to have a casual meal!
Great food and Atmosphere. Bartender was exceptionally friendly. Enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended
Nice joint to grab a beer with a buddy… they have ALLL the beers. Food is good. What you’d expect from a pub. Tenders were great. Big space upstairs for events. Seemed to have a lot of local regulars.
The food is really good and not too crazy price wise. The interior is fantastic too and the upstairs is great for parties. They probably have the biggest drink menu in the city. It’s kinda absurd.
It's been a few years since I've been to downtown Tulsa. Swung by for lunch and had a great meal and a good time. A lot has changed in downtown, but McNellies is just like I remember it.
Excellent burgers, loved our server Drew. Very nice place for a casual date night if you like pub vibes.
Came in with a few friends for some beers, the food smelled and looked very appetizing albeit we didn't eat. Was very tempted, lol. I love the reward system for drinking 100, 200, and 300 different brews, I started taking note in my phone of which ones I've had from their extensive drink menu. Very friendly service, the outdoor patio is very quaint and where we chose to end our night next to the fire pit. The upper deck has shuffle boards, pool tables and a banquet room with another bar to get away from the downstairs hustle & bustle. Will be coming back to further my dive into their beer menu and to get some pub grub!
Went on a Wednesday for $5 burger night. We had a large group of over 20. I believe everyone ordered burgers. Burgers were delivered in waves. We were last 3 to get ours and most people in our group were already done and having birthday cake. It is what it is. Food was very good. Burgers were charbroiled and tasty.
Delicious Food, Excellent Service, reasonably priced and the dessert was the GRAND FINALE! I personally ordered the Ruben sandwich and it was flavorful, had a generous amount of meat and cooked to perfection! My husband had the lamb & beef pita, our friends ordered the chicken wrap - all delicious! Our waiter was attentive & personable. We ordered the carrot cake and it was absolutely the best we’ve ever eaten! It was served warm and the portion size was huge. We all were but licking our plates! We will be back-need I say more?
Ordered a patty melt on a brioche bun and in came out on white bread. Server brought it out and asked if it was ok. Of course it's not ok, it's not what we ordered. Fish and chips were excellent.
Good - **** Ordered their steakhouse burger that comes with 1/2 lb patty with onion ring, hp mayo, smoked gouda with lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun. The side item I ordered was sweet potato fries. Didnt have to wait much. I asked for my patty to be medium. Loved the flavor of the burger. The price is on the high range but thats expected from a pub house.
Visited McNellie's for a business dinner. It's located close to freeway access. Very limited street parking, but a pay lot is located one block away. Parking was $4, with payment online. Great English pub feel. There was plenty of seating, and we were seated upstairs with our reservation for a party of 12. Tuesday was $5 burgers with sweet potato fries, which is what most our group chose. Those who ordered burgers were very happy with their orders. I had fish and chips and was underwhelmed with my choice. Portion was small, and fries were average at best. I was expecting a much better rendition of a pub staple of fish-n-chips.. My apple ginger mule was very tasty. Upstairs featured 2 shuffle boards, dart boards, and video games. Overall I would highly recommend McNellie's and visit again. Service was fantastic and fast. Cost was reasonable, and they have a colossal selection of beers!!!
I had heard a lot of buzz about this place. Friends and coworkers had urged me to come and try the food. The opportunity came and I went with a group of friends. I never bother to ask about the food, I simply assumed that this would be somewhat of a steak house. I was truly surprised to find out as I opened the menu that all the offer is burgers and sandwiches and things like that. True, a ton of beer selections but I don't know why I was a bit disappointed that a burger was going to be it. It's bad when your customer does not remember what they had to eat. As I sit here writing this, I cannot remember for the life of me what it was, and that might be because I was not struck with something different. At the moment of trying my burger and fries, it felt like any other I have had somewhere else. I would have to come back and try another one to be sure I am on point with this statement but frankly I don't know if I want to bother doing so. On a final note, staff was professional and kind. Walked around with a smile. Mixed drinks for what my friends had to say were good! The bathrooms were clean and nicely decorated.
I recently visited this bar and had a satisfying experience. I enjoyed two well-served beers with excellent flavor and quality, along with a soup that had a homemade touch, perfectly complementing the evening. The atmosphere was cozy, and Allison provided exceptional service, standing out for her kindness and attentiveness. However, it would be great if they offered Apple Pay as a payment option. Definitely a place worth returning to.
Food was good. Service was good. However several drafts were not available. The Irish car bombs glasses were half full. Overall it was good but most likely won’t be returning
We had their Spinach Artichoke dip and Giant Pretzel to start. That dip was creamy and delicious! We polished off every bit of it! We even dipped our pretzel in it! The pretzel came with jalapeno cheese dip and mustard for dipping sauces. They were both good. My husband ordered the Reuben and I had the Cuban. The Reuben was okay. He didn't finish it. My Cuban was dry. He had ordered an Irish coffee with the entree and that took awhile to get. The waiter did a great job of keeping our waters filled and checking on us.
This was a group experience compliments of our company president following a wonderful volunteering opportunity. Approx 15 people and service was great for a group of our size. Food was good, I did not much care for the Mac and cheese but the chicken i had had great flavor as well did the artichoke dip. It was dimly lit which made the menu a little difficult to read but I will definitely be going back. Prices were reasonable as well.
Fun, enjoyable atmosphere. A bit dim, and achieves a bit of a noise level when busy. However, that is meant to be part of the charm of being a public house. The vibe is food service pub in the public house tradition. The food is good, classical American flair burgers, steaks, sandwiches etc. The service is great! Good place to catch a business lunch during the day, however, again your mileage may vary on the sound level. That being said, there is an Open table area out in a fenced area.
I had the reuban sandwich. The corned beef was delicious. My bread was burnt which made my sandwich taste bitter. I should have sent it back. But if I did my husband wouldn't have ate his burger until I got my sandwich back. So I took the bread off and ate the corned beef. My sweet potato fries were not crispy. My beer was good. I was disappointed.
Pleasant place. Filling up when I came in (Friday 6:00) and full with a wait line when I left. Had a mediocre Cobb salad (wilted greens, bacon bits instead of bacon, American cheese) and a not very fresh cup of coffee. Moderate pricing, convenient location, good service.
Not good. I walked like 30 mins in 96 degrees and 45% humidity bc I saw a review saying the artichoke dip was the best someone had. Y'all... It's just a cup of super salty hot cream cheese with maaaaaaybe a little artichoke but not enough to even see or taste... For $10.99! The 2 ladies at the hostess stand didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in. I stood there staring at them for a minute or two before finally just taking myself to the bar and having a seat there. The bartender was chatting with some people & she was the only one at the bar. I waited, the ordered a beer and some of that dip. I CANNOT believe I walked 30 mins in the heat for this. Haha. I was going to out 1 star but added 1 because I found a couple of chunks of artichoke while writing this. Haha. They just tasted like the cream cheese.
The Fried Pickles were the best but not good enough to carry a high ticket cost.I was most disappointed with the Corned beef and Cabbage. There was no cabbage in it and the meat was a shredded mess.
Our waitress was terrible as you could tell she had no interest in being there. She was unfriendly, we had to ask if we could order some appetizers, she would roll her eyes when we asked for something. As for the soft drinks , some of them were flat and some were mostly carbonation. Again we ask about it she was annoyed. We even asked the manager about it and she just blew us off. The food was mediocre at best. My reuben sandwich had very little flavor, some of our food had been sitting a while when it got to us and although the plate might have been warm the nachos and cheese were not. We will not be back there to eat for sure but may give the other one a try.
Went here for a post grad dinner. Don't drink anymore. Was unfortunate that the appetizer s selected were not a kind i want. Then my well done patty melt shows up black like I made the chef mad by asking. This was after 1.3 hours in a cacophony of sound upstairs. Never going back. Sorry guys. Hope the one waiter Handling 30 people got his entire tip. Js.
